I thought that my needs were pretty specific...help with some interior remodeling and new furniture. First the Remodel - Karen's relationships with contractors and vendors is amazing. I loved every single person she put me in contact with. She was quick to tell me where it might be to my financial advantage to work directly with a vendor, and where i might make best use of her involvement. Now for the Interior Design - Holy Cow. Her process is unique, and my needs fell smack in the middle of the COVID situation. I had to put my full faith and trust in her process, which was a bit scary... but I will tell you that hands-down, it was the best, most stress free and effective interior design process i've ever had (and i've done a few houses prior to this one). I absolutely love the results of her efforts...the furniture, the design plan, the decor, everything! I couldn't have imagined a better experience and nearly one year later, I still love every single detail of our new rooms! We had actually worked with two different designers in the past for our home (a family connection who was based in San Antonio and gave a shot at one of those online services too), but unfortunately had very poor experiences so we were incredibly cautious as we explored who we wanted to work with for an investment like a remodel with a tight timeframe. We filled out a short intake questionnaire and put together a Pinterest board with style ideas and were blown away by how quickly she nailed our design aesthetic and knew exactly what we needed to do with the space. What I love most about Suzanna is that while she's an incredibly talented designer, she also works like an architect and was able to reconfigure a small space for us to maximize every square inch to somehow make our small room feel double to size and meet every functional need. Suzanna works by an hourly rate and I was very surprised how quickly she works and efficient she is with her time. She also includes you in as much or as little of the design process as you like. I wanted to be a part of everything because I wanted to learn, but I would have trusted her to make every decision without me there - and that is saying something since I'm very picky and have a very specific way I like things to look! Once my wife and I purchased a new home in NW Austin we knew we were going to need help. We wanted our new home to reflect our style. The problem is that sometimes you have good taste but struggle to put it all together. I called Jill and she sent us Kelli Presses, a member of the Nine Design team. She is fantastic! Kelli arrived at our new home, took a tour, and immediately started listening to our thoughts regarding our aesthetic. The first thing Kelli did was help us rearrange our furniture in our living room. We spend most of our time in this room and she nailed it. I had the best experience last week at Heather Scott Home. My mom and I popped in to their new…read morelocation across from the Domain. It's much more spacious than their old Arboretum store and they had such wonderful new home items. We are redoing a midcentury ranch home near the lake and have been unable to find a suitable piece of furniture for the TV to go on in the bedroom. My mom walked in and instantly found the piece she had in her mind all this time. We also found some really nice silk palms and a leather ottoman to finish out the room. As it turns out, the piece of furniture was too big to fit in a Suburban so we had to grab a U-Haul. It was near closing time, but Scott (the Scott in Heather Scott Home) told us he would gladly wait for us to return and help load it. We were really concerned about getting such a large piece of furniture out of the trailer once we got to the lake but the way Scott secured it and positioned it we were able to get it on a furniture dolly and inside in the blink of an eye. Everything we bought was perfect! It totally modernized the space while keeping within the mid century ranch vibe. The girls at the store also offered vendor information for the company who stained their concrete and called me a few days later with information on a Benjamin Moore paint color that I was interested in. I could not believe how helpful Scott and the salesgirls were. This was a great customer service experience and we are super happy with all of our purchases. I will definitely be back the next time I need something for my home.

After moving into a new house this past summer, I had the task of furnishing and decorating it. I…read morehad read a few articles about feng shui online and had used it for my previous place of residence, but I felt that some things just weren't right. It was time for some professional help. Looking online, I contacted a few people via email, but Belinda was the only one available in my time frame. I had a free phone call with her in which we discussed my new house, who would be living there, and other details. She came up with a plan to visit my house, do a clearing ceremony, and visit my house again once I had finished making the changes. After discussing the plan with my parents, they decided that the current package was too expensive so I told Belinda and she cut down on package options. After discussing it with my parents for a while, we settled on a package with an in person visit and a phone call followup. I figured I could easily do a clearing ceremony myself: there were no previous residents so I didn't fear any bad energy lingering there. I emailed Belinda a copy of my floor plan and set an appointment for Wednesday at 11am. Belinda arrived on time and we talked about the house and my goals in life. She took a directional reading with a compass and went around the house. I took notes as we walked around. She gave suggestions based on the layout of the house. These suggestions included placement of artwork in certain areas, rugs on floors (I never used rugs before this), room color schemes, room uses, and feng shui items. Some notable suggestions I received was to move my office to the first floor because there was more energy down there, put a blue rug under my dining room table because it was next to the living room to separate it, a pink color scheme for the master bedroom, and a large tapestry in the living room. (Everyone's suggestions will differ based on their place) Belinda explained that the suggestions were based on the direction my house faced as well as other factors. She made some notes on the house layout for me to keep and suggested some places to buy furniture (like At Home and Amazon). Places that didn't break the bank were also suggested. She didn't make any radical changes to my home layout. We needed to fully furnish the place so most of the house was empty. I did my shopping at IKEA, Wayfair.com, At Home, Society 6 (for artwork, cheaper than art.com) and amazon. Got my couch at Sams club though. I framed my pictures with picture frames from IKEA. For my bed I got a piece of plywood from Home Depot and screwed it on for a solid headboard. When it came time for the phone consultation on how my new home was doing, I emailed photos of each of the rooms as well as a video walk through (I hosted them on dropbox.com). Belinda saw my photos and said I did well with the decorating, and made a few minor adjustments on certain areas. So far the results have been great. I can move through my house with ease and I feel that the energy flows nicely. My garage doesn't feel cluttered as everything is to the sides. I sleep well at night and get things done in my office as I can see the window and living room with my back against the wall. My parents (they visit a lot) like the layout and pictures. So far my career and life have been going well with some changes here and there. I'm still working on clearing the clutter from my tables (sign that I have too many things to do at once, but I'm working on that). Overall I feel that my home looks and feels great. Belinda was amazing and easy to work with. She listened to me and was willing to use different solutions to reach an objective if one wasn't available. If you want to design your home/office with feng shui principles, look no further.
