I broke my front tooth and the first dental chain I went to told me that I needed to crown all my front teeth in order to get the color of the crown that I needed to match my other teeth. This sounded unbelievable, so I decided to get a second opinion. I saw Dr. Viktor Pavlidakey, at Thurston Comprehensive he explained that the office had its own dental lab and that the lab guy should be able to match the crown to my other teeth. He went and grabbed their lab technician, and he said it wouldn't be a problem at all. All I really needed was one crown that's just unbelievable. I encourage anyone to come here for a second opinion. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am so relieved to have found a dental office that has honesty and integrity. Not a place that exaggerates my needs in order to make more money. read more

Dr. Thurston has mentored Dr. Duke and Dr. Pavlidakey (Dr. Vik) to practice with his same professionalism and compassion. When I scheduled with Dr Vik, I was nervous.... but Dr. Vik did not disappoint. He was caring and gentle. It was the best crown appointment experience! Brittany his assistant is terrific.. I just moved to the area, and I've been in need of a dentist for some time now. Due to poor previous experiences at the dentist's office as a kid I've been terrified of the dentist and truly neglected my teeth for quite some time. I didn't know if anything could even be done to help me at this point sadly. A friend recommended the office to me multiple times I had finally decided to make an appointment. I had my doubts at first but after my visit with Dr. Vik my whole perception of dentistry changed. I have never had such a thorough appointment with any healthcare provider. After my visit I left feeling so happy and excited to finally meet a dentist that I trusted and felt comfortable with. I never felt judged at any moment. My second visit was just as amazing I went for a consult with Dr. Vik, Dr. Thurston, and Dr. Duke they really took their time and answered all my questions. Service asked for wasn't even done and I had no say about what was going on with my daughter. I was not allowed back with her during services and she said she was scared and didn't know what they were doing. I found out after the appointment they didn't do what I set appointment for which was a cleaning and I had a huge list of expensive stuff to do and then found out they didn't have my insurance in network. No I have a bill to pay and she has nothing done. I feel lied and cheated. read more

Everyone was very pleasant but when the nice lady gave me the $500 estimate to repair my denture I got out of there! I get these repairs like this for less than $150 back in Oklahoma, ended up at another dentist and got the repair for $240. Snow birds be aware. read more

I've been coming to Dr. Thurston's office since 2010, and I have nothing but positive things to say about this practice. I'm always greeted with a smile and treated with the upmost respect. It's a nice, clean office, and has a happy vibe, which makes me much more at ease for a dental visit. I come here for routine cleanings, but I've also had two veneers done by Dr. Thurston, and they turned out beautifully. It's a great sign when nobody believes that they are actually veneers! read more

Worst experience ever. Went in for an extraction. Dentist, Dr Duke was bragging that he's never come across a tooth he couldn't extract. Kept me in the chair for 6 hours rather than send me to an oral surgeon as he should have. I went home with severe horrendous pain and bleeding. The dentist had taken out a huge chunk of my upper jaw bone as well as the tooth. I called after I got home because I was heavily bleeding from my mouth and my nose too! Dr showed little concern and told me to bite on a teabag and call back if it wasn't better. When I called back, the answering service stated he had told them to not call him, hold all calls and take messages until 7 am. I ended up at the hospital and was admitted for 3 days while they tried to repair all the damage he did in those 6 hours in the chair. He even perforated my sinus. The damage was bad, but the total lack of concern and caring really topped it off. RUN, don't walk!! Wish I could give negative stars. read more

My wife and I moved to Florida from Illinois almost a year ago, and was in need of a dentist. I found Thurston dental on google with many great reviews. For a dental office to have that many reviews had to mean they are providing great service! Read a lot of amazing reviews so decided to make an appointment. Well the receptionist who answered was so sweet and kind and scheduled me for the fallowing week. When I got there they greeted me and waited for my appointment, the minute I sat down I felt a warm inviting feeling and relaxed. My past dental visits before was not so good before Thurston I don't like to mention names. So it was my turn to see Dr Thurston, so before he sees me, being a new patient they had to do some evaluations/ X-ray which all dental places do, but the way they handled everything was nothing I have experienced before, gentle, smooth and fast. So it was time to see Dr Thurston. He was so nice and caring, and welcoming. I felt at ease right away. He was so honest and caring with what work I needed on my teeth, unlike past places I been to before always pushed me to do root canal which till 9 yrs later the other places said I need root canal on I still have. I see that he really is in your best interest at all time. I was super happy with my visit and I spoke to him that I needed two implants and he advised me on how to properly go about it in my best interest. Never felt pushed to do any service I didn't need, and he said when you are ready come see us. I see there main Objective is to educate there patients and leave it up to them on what decision they will make based on financial status or whatever it may be. Well I guess that's why they been open for 39yrs and explains all the good reviews! Well I would have to say best dentist ever! read more

This was a total scammer type office visit for me, stay away!!! Looked them up on 1800dentist when i was visiting in area and lost filling. Told me they took my insurance, lied! Got in chair, got shot to numb up, then told they couldn't bill insurance, would have to pay out of pocket, and take up with insurance later. Left with new filling and $300 bill. Greatest part was filling broke and fell out 4 days later! Had to redo at my dentist to fix correctly. Filed claim with 1800 dentist and bbb for florida area, total waste, look elsewhere. Fyi, I'm not a slammer for businesses without reason, and i think only second bad review on yelp ever, stay away! read more

This guy told me I would need bone grafts and they gave me a very high $$$ figure to do everything. I went to 3 other doctors and they all told me I have plenty of bone and didn't need any grafting. I'd steer clear of this doctor. read more
