Olympia is lucky to have these two twins, one a tea shop and one a craft chocolate shop. Both have extensive and superb curated offerings. I visited the chocolate side and was impressed. As one of the judges for the International Chocolate Awards (https://www.internationalchocolateawards.com) and a chocolate taster (https://www.instagram.com/eglazener), I can tell you they have a nice selection of some great craft chocolates. Worth a visit. And another. And another...

What a wonderful set of stores right in the heart of Olympia - something for every tea and chocolate lover's delight! We heard about Encore through a local cafe. There is a type of tea that they carry that my wife absolutely loves. I asked where they got it and they started raving about Encore. I took a visit there the other day in hunt for Valentine's Day goodies and was hard-pressed not to buy a little bit (or a lot bit) of everything! On one side of the inside, central hallway you'll find their chocolate store. They have a vast array of local and mass produced chocolates. Any type of flavor you can think of, they have. On the other side of the hallway you'll enter their tea store. A huge selection of both loose-leaf and bag teas will fill you senses with enjoyment. We got the Dragon Pearls and can't wait to make out first pot of it. We will definitely be back for more, as we are tea lovers and they have some blends that totally have caught my eye. Friendly service, easy to browse and find what you need, and a great experience will greet you as soon as you enter Encore Chocolates and Teas. You'll want to keep coming back for more. I know we do!

These are some of their black teas. ALL teas come with descriptions of flavor and how to brew.

I came in on Saturday afternoon to pick up my tea staples-the Olympia Summer is one of my very favorites. Their chocolate shop is wonderful too-you can find a range of chocolates and sweets from under $1.00 to much more than that. Encore is fantastic! I love their teas, sweets and their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They are one of my favorite stops in Downtown Olympia!

I was blessed by the presence of a man who has experienced over 500 chocolates. If only I could get paid to do that. Luxury chocolate is never to be munched on. It's to be melted on your tongue as the flavors disperse while you savor and contemplate its essence. I went with the chocolate connoisseur's favorite dark and dark-milk. Smooth, creamy, and flavorful. The 75% Brazil Dick Taylor is wicked. Crafted in NorCal. Strong cocoa bean flavor with fruity and nutty undertones of honeysuckle, grape, and walnut. The 60% Ecuador Pump Street is decadent. Made in the UK. Soft bittersweet balance with subtle undertones of milk. I recommend the Brazil any day, but if you're not a true dark chocolate fan, you'll be happy with the Ecuador.

If you like chocolate from all over the world, this is your spot! Very educated on chocolate and new items constantly coming in.

    Huge selection of loose teas.

I love all the options they offer for teas and chocolates. The tea sections are extensive, from Black, Green, Herbal, Matcha, ect and even tea accessories. They were also very affordable. The location is also unique, with an indoor tree under a huge skylight. They also have a second store with all the local chocolates and honey. They offer Seattle Chocolates and more options for local and unique flavors. My favorite was Pink Bubbly by Seattle Chocolate. Dark chocolate with raspberry cream and pink poprocks to resemble to bubbles of champagne. I was curious and it was actually my absolute favorite. Staff were also friendly and helpful.

It's so nice to have a real tea store in Oly. The Tea Lady is sorely missed. This shop caters more to loose teas than did the TL and, therefore, the global variety is more limited. But very high quality! They also offer tea pots and specialty tea steeping goods. I've not tried the chocolates (will power!!) but there is a large selection of gourmet chocolates. Since this store opened, they've taken over the tea/coffee stand in the enclosed court yard and are serving the teas they sell. Why not a 5th star? Downtown Olympia is a bugger for parking and over-burdened with street vagrants to weed through.

Fantastic place to buy tea. Super nice people. Tea tends to be about $2 an ounce with a two ounce minimum. Love this place!

We ordered the avocado toast, chickpea sandwich, and coffee, and everything was delicious. The food was fresh, satisfying, and paired perfectly with the excellent coffee, making it an ideal spot for breakfast or lunch. Service was quick and friendly, and our order arrived promptly. The atmosphere is the real standout. The café has a huge indoor space with multiple seating areas, each featuring its own unique décor and vibe, so there's something for everyone--whether you're catching up with friends, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a quiet coffee break. If you're in the area, The Owl's Nest is a café I'd highly recommend.

We somehow spaced it that the cafe served only plant based food and only realized it after we took couple of bites because the food had unpleasant aftertaste. The pros: 1. Appreciate the support for LGBTQ 2. Appreciate the idea of "plant based" food 3. Nice atmosphere The cons: 1. The 12 oz cup of tea and the 16 oz cup of latte were served in the 12 oz mugs. We paid for a 16 oz latte. 2. Early Grey was of poor quality. Not much flavor. 3. The scones tasted ok, but not like true traditional scones. I presume it is because they are plant based. 4. Shortly after eating a sundried tomato scone I started feeling nauseated and developed a headache which lasted for several hours after. I do not have food allergies, I do though react poorly to heavily processed food. Knowing my body very well this makes me wonder about the quality of ingredients used. Plant based food is a very noble idea and is better for health and environment when in its natural form (olive oil, veggies, whole grains, etc.), but unfortunately some products are often very heavily processed (plant based butter, cheese, etc.). I have no idea what those scones were made of. I will not eat other scones after this experience. 5. I took a bite of hubby's panini. It had an unpleasant aftertaste. 6. We paid for 3 scones. The cashier gave us only two. I thought that the third one would be brought out shortly with the rest of the order so I let the cashier to attend to the line behind us. When the 3rd scone wasn't brought out I approached the counter to ask about it. Another person that was standing there asked me if I paid for it.......Seeing so much suspicion on their face I told the person that I would like to wait for the cashier to see if she would remember me placing an order. To which that person responded - I believe you......This was not a pleasant experience and this is not sound customer service if you ask me. Instead of taking responsibility and checking their system, they made me feel like I was trying to get free food. A professional business should always prioritize making the customer feel heard and valued, rather than putting them on the defensive. The OK: Coffee was just ok. I personally wouldn't come back for it. Overall this is not my cup of tea. I wouldn't come back.

Genuinely effing mad that I paid $7.98 for an "ice cream shake" with my customized chocolate and strawberry flavors blended that took 15 minutes to make. How? How did it take this long? And so long to make for a drink that did not even have the thick creaminess that ice cream shakes have. That drink was thin liquids. Liquid thinner than me. And that is not good. It deadahh tasted like someone got strawberry juice to mix with chocolate milk then threw in bitter ahh chocolate chip morsels bc they were trying to mask the expired tasting ahh strawberries. I deadahh wasted my money by coming here after my nice, sunny day stroll around the Olympia capitol building. I should have crashed out in the café so that they could remake this so-called ice cream shake bc no...this should not be sold. My tummy started to hurt after this, too. This does not happen for me. How? Genuinely impressed at how a drink could suck as bad as that one did. Do not come here for the drinks. Just spend money on groceries to make your own ice cream drink at home. 15 minutes long of a wait for a singular drink that was the worst that I ever had. Shame on this place Okay, done being mad
