Terrible experience. Went in to get my acrylic nails taken off - which should take max 10 minutes. Ended up being an hour ordeal of drilling and picking at my nails. Completely ruining my nail bed. I have been going here for years. Though I don't splurge and get my nails done often , this is where I go. It's easy to make an appt. The salon is so so so clean. You can tell they take it seriously. They have lots of chairs and station so you can walk in with a little or no wait. The prices are on par with other salons and they do a great job. I got a gel manicure recently and it was 32$. Pro tip ... you get a discount when you pay with cash. Also tipping is only cash so be sure to grab some. There is plenty of parking and the lot is easy in and out. NEVER AGAIN, a few years ago this happened but I thought I'd give them another shot. I have had dip nails for over 10 years and it works great for me. Came here Sat for dip and matching pedi, paid cash over $80 plus I gave her $20 tip. 5 were chipped by Weds so I called and she said come in for fix, but honestly after work who has time for that? I drop the gym, errands whatever go up there and she tells me that "YOUR NAILS ARE TOO THIN - NO MORE" Which I don't really understand exept that she was blaming me because half of the nails were chipped. I am careful, use gloves in the sink etc. Just also worth mentioning, they cannot do a SQUARE SHAPE even though I said repeatedly NO ROUNDED EDGES. read more

My family and I have been coming to Honey Nails & Spa since I first saw the location open, and as Smithfield Native's we prefer to support local. I have seen this place grow to what it has become today, but unfortunately my recent experience was lacking. I had gotten a dip manicure done on the Wednesday, and the dip started to peel from my nails on the Friday. I was unable to get back to the salon sooner, so I finally was able to make it on Tuesday. When I asked for the owner to look at my nails, I had explained what happened over the past 6 days; that the dip began to peel 2 days after my manicure, and when I went to reach the car door handle I was very surprised to see that the dip snapped off of my nails. I was told they could fix the 2 damaged nails for free or redo the set. I had explained that all of my nails are lifting and she had advised that this was not on the salon and that I would have to pay another $48 plus Tip for them to fix a mistake that they could have avoided by doing 3 layers rather than 2. In terms of Customer Service, I will not be going back here again and I will be letting all of my contacts know of this horrible experience after being a long standing customer. Clearly they do not value consistent customers, so I will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

A gem that I have driven by numerous times but never bothered to go inside until a few days ago, and boy am I happy because I had a pretty good experience and they gained a new customer. Honey Nails is located inside a really small and busy area. The parking lot is small so be prepared it might take you a minute for a spot, but there's other businesses around in close range so that's why. I walked in was greeted kindly, was told to grab a color and have a seat at the pedicure chair. (Went on a Saturday so I was prepared and ready to wait, but I was seated immediately.) I didn't catch the young mans name, but he made sure my water temp was just right, I hate cold water. He was very gently and kind. He didn't speak at all, along with everyone else here. This place was so silent. Kind of calming to me. My feet were treated very well. I enjoy the color very much (yellow). Another little perk if you pay in cash they give you a 5% discount , with a minimum amount equaling 30.00 or more. I really did appreciate this and I ended up tipping more just for this perk. I've been coming to Honey Nails consistently for the last few months. Initially I had great experiences but the service and quality has fallen off. Some pros: Clean Plenty of colors to choose from They offer dip, gel and reg manicures Parking lot Some cons: - On two separate occasions my friend and I made appointments in advance which were "lost." One was made in person 2 weeks in advance, the other by phone. When we showed up for our appointments the woman who works the front told us we didn't have appointments and confronted us repeatedly during our services blaming us saying we didn't make appointments but she's doing us a favor by taking us. Then at the end said "oh, I remember now, it's my fault I forgot to write it." Ugh.... - if you request a certain person in advance they may or may not be there and all techs are not the same. - services performed when they are busy are sloppy and don't last. My gel manicure chipped less than a day after getting it done and half my nails are missing top coat. My cuticles were shaped with an emery board which was painful. Rushed. So sad because I want to love this place. Sometimes they do a fantastic job, others not so much. It's a roll of a dice. There is too much competition in the area to have spotty service. read more

I wish I could give this place a zero. I came in here with a friend who goes there sometimes, she had a good experience.. I did not. I have gotten dip powder nails at my usual place in Warwick. I was sat down with a guy who seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. my nails were long from the past set growing out so he decided to cut them first with the dip still on, that hurt a bit considering they were my real nails underneath. I picked my color and then he proceeded to drill them. His nails were long and clearly weren't washed as he had dirt underneath his nails, he proceeded to push back my skin with his dirty nails which I thought was gross. Then he began with the powder, after everytime he dipped a nail in he would drill it off then complain that the powder is "translucent" even though he kept drilling it off instead of stacking on the powder three times then drill (what my place does). He also kept saying that I shouldn't touch them because particles kept getting in my nails, I wasn't touching them, they were flat on the table the whole time. They charged me 54 dollars which is absurd and of course I tipped 10 bucks because i'm nice. Once I left I noticed that there was so much glue and powder all over my nails and underneath. About two hours later, my thumb nail snapped when I was at work. I had to go back to my usual place and get it fixed, I did not want to waste my time going back here. i showed them a picture of a design I wanted, the design was a 10 finger design with a $20 upcharge on top of their newly raised price of $45 for dip powder. When i showed them the picture I was informed it would take too long and they didn't want to spend the time also told "too young upcharge too much" they talked me out of getting the nails i wanted and i had to settle for a plain color. this set of dip powder is smudged, opaque in some spots, and not fully covering all my nails. read more

They greeted me right off the bat, had me choose a color, and took me with a few minutes. The salon was busy, but well staffed. It was clean. A few employees were prepping nail kits for sanitizing, folding towels for warming, along with stones for stone massages. The young man who worked on me did a great job, was friendly, and attentive. For the classic ( basic) pedicure, it started with a nail trim, cuticles, buffing, and scrub, he did a great foot massage. Once I was done, I sat down at the dryers, where I got a quick shoulder massage. I was done in little under an hour. So I just came in and I got a pedicure and it was okay... alittle messy on the side. Then I wanted them to soak off my nails. The only thing they did was drill my nails to the point of my nails burning and she didn't even apologize for hurting me. The whole point of asking them to soak off my nails was to take off the acrylic on my natural nail... all she did was drill off the gel on top and left the acrylic and some gel on the sides of my nails. So unprofessional and definitely would not recommend. Honestly worst nail experience I have ever had. Then my friend only got her toes done and tipped the girl five dollars for a 30 dollar pedicure and they had the audacity to complain about the tip and talk shit right in front of us. I guess I'm totally spoiled by my normal nail spot that is currently undergoing renovations because this spot was a let down. Pros: New, clean, nothing fancy decor wise, staff was friendly enough. Cons: I like to get the "dip" for my manicure, which is relatively new and apparently more difficult than I realized. My nails were thick and uneven and I'm prob my going to just soak them off this weekend. Granted, I was in a hurry at the end but I didn't realize it would take an hour for this when it takes 45 minutes at my normal place. They were playing pop music, loudly and uncensored. I'm all for hip hop but the f bombs were a little much and I prefer a more Spa like atmosphere. Would not bring my 6 year old here for that reason. I had such a bad experience here. A few weeks ago I came in, asked for my gel set to be removed and just wanted a simple gel manicure. The guy who was doing my nails spent so much time drilling down the gel on a few of my nails they were paper thin. When I could feel feel my nail bed getting so hot that I couldn't take it anymore I kind of yelled "it's to much!" and pulled my hand away. They guy proceeds to grab my hand and tell me it's fine and moves on to the next nail. Not once did he apologized, no one said anything. I was fuming at that point and should of just walked out. Now 3 weeks later I'm still dealing with his mess and since my nails are so thin they have started to split right down the middle. read more

I started going to Honey when they first opened. They were clean and had a very attentive staff. Unfortunately, over the summer, I had some bad experiences with the dip manicures. The men they had doing them did not know how to do them, and my nails chipped and broke in a few days. They prepped my nails the same way they would for a gel manicure, which is a different process. Two weeks before my wedding, I went and asked for a specific nail technician. They said fine over the phone, but again put me with one of the men who messed up my nails. The last straw!!! I have been coming here since it opened and recommend others to come but this salon is going downhill fast!!!! At the beginning they were courteous and hardly ever spoke in their language when taking care of a client. Now they speak between themselves and you just know they are talking about you. The decor was nice when they opened but now is getting cluttered and dirty looking. They also rush you out. They advertise they give a 5% discount if using cash and sometimes. However I paid with a leftover $5.00 gift certificate and $25.00 cash and was told there was a $25.00 minimum. This was a first.
