For the past year, I have struggled with trying to get rid of my acne scaring and improve the texture on my face. When going into Essential Bella, Evelyn greeted me with a warm smile and brought me to a private room. The room was clean, sterile, and well organized. She went over the procedure and made sure I was well informed before starting. First step was to numb my face, so she cleaned my face and then applied a numbing cream. I sat in that room comfortably for about 30 mins just scrolling on my phone while waiting for it to kick in. After that, Evelyn brought me to another room where she was going to start my procedure. She ended up doing extractions and then a chemical peel treatment. After that, she wipes it off and starts to microneedle. It was a smooth process and didn't really feel much. However, once the numbing cream wore off, I was really starting to feel it on one side of my face. It was only for the last two minutes. Afterwards, Evelyn put something cooling to help with the stinging sensation and handed me a small electric fan. The small fan felt so good, because my face felt like it was on fire! Once I was done, she told me some basic aftercare and shared the importance of using sunscreen 24hrs after the procedure. My face felt raw, tight, and on fire so had to use very gentle products after. 8hrs after my procedure, my face was pretty red, and I started to tolerate the pain. Later that evening I used a gentle face wash and cerave moisturizer. For the next few days, my skin started to peel and a lot of my texture had disappeared. Once it completely healed, my skin was glowy and my acne scars have lighted up. Just in time for Christmas eve festivities!! I look forward to my next micro-needle appointment with Evelyn! She's professional, informative, really kind, and has an amazing sense of humor. 10/10 recommend!!

Disappointing Experience…read more I purchased a package that included 3 microneedling sessions and 3 under-eye Easy Gel sessions. Unfortunately, my overall experience was very disappointing. One of my biggest concerns was the preparation for microneedling. Each time I went, my face was not properly cleansed or prepared by the staff before the treatment. Instead, I was simply handed a cleanser to wash my own face. The cleanser provided did not adequately remove my sunscreen, and during my second microneedling appointment, I ended up bringing my own cleanser and washing my face myself at the sink before the procedure. I have had microneedling done at other places, and they properly cleanse and prepare my skin before starting the treatment. For a procedure that involves creating tiny channels in the skin, I personally expect proper cleansing and preparation as part of the service. As for the under-eye Easy Gel, I personally did not see the improvement I was hoping for. The downtime was also longer than I expected. I understand that downtime can vary from person to person and that this part is not necessarily the provider's fault, but because I was unhappy with the results, I decided that I did not want to proceed with my third session. I spoke with the staff about canceling the remaining session, and I was told that when a client asks for something like this, they can no longer be seen at their location. Honestly, after my experiences there, I had already decided that I did not want to return, so being told that they did not want to see me was very disappointing and unnecessary. I do want to say that I liked Nurse Carmen and appreciated her personally. My issue is more with my overall experience with the facility and the way my concerns were handled. I paid for a package expecting professional treatment and proper preparation, and unfortunately, that was not the experience I received. I had an awful experience with Dr. David Cruz. They gave me a body scan each visit which was not something I requested. Im not sure why he felt the need to tell me how HE felt about MY body unprompted. My primary care doctor thinks I am a healthy weight and I have a healthy BMI. Health is my number one priority so his opinion affected me a lot at the time. I think this was beyond unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable given we were in a setting where cosmetic procedures are sold. I never said I wanted to change anything about my body, all I was there for was reducing genetic neck fat. After some reflection, I can't help but feel like Dr. Cruz was trying to plant seeds of insecurity to try to push sales.
