One Source Home Service installed a brand-new AC and furnace for me in April 2025. About a year…read morelater, the AC stopped cooling and was only blowing room-temperature air. Since March, they have sent five (5!) different technicians, and none of them were able to properly diagnose or fix the issue. I then paid another HVAC company, L&L Heating & Air, $99 to evaluate the system. They found that my one-year-old Goodman A2L system was leaking refrigerant at the TXV because a torque nut had been left loose by the original installer. They also noted that the A2L safety sensor was disconnected and said it needed to be reconnected, torqued to spec, and the system recharged. For a system this new, that is unacceptable and raised a serious safety concern for my family. On top of that, One Source told me they could not find my records in their system even though this is the same email address they used to send my estimate and invoice. Based on my experience, I do not recommend One Source if you value competent installation, safety, and timely service. I expect reimbursement of my $99 diagnostic fee and a proper permanent resolution.

When asked about items not installed, I was informed that the quote did not match with what was done and installed, but that the price was correct. The quote should match what has been done. Payment is demanded immediately even when final inspection has not occurred yet. The interactions up to now do not provide trust in this company as in following up with inspection concerns also. (might as well gave me a quote just saying Miscellaneous with a total price) I have endured the delays, bad planning with county inspection, piping not flush with building wall and piles of dirt on my property. So when I asked for explanation on why things that were on the quote were not there, I got a reply that all that mattered was the price and I got my money's worth and an immediate demand for payment. Absolutely nothing was bent and no parts were ever necersary.Otherwise how did the generator magically start working without any parts being replaced? The guy who fixed it didn't replace any parts! And as I said before, I was able to find and order the part with ease. You either didn't look very hard or didn't look at all. As far as not working with us anymore because of sending back a bad part, that is not the reason. You took no responsibility for making us spend money a second time on another part, and made no apologies for it. And no, you didn't charge us anything, but you did offer to put it back together unfixed for $300. Or do you not remember that? Bottom line...we got stuck with 2 unecessary parts and four months of headaches. If you didn't want to work with us anymore, you should have told us instead of ignoring us and keeping us waiting for so long. I do not recommend this company. It was acquired in November 2025. Disregard any great reviews…read moreprior to that date--it's a fundamentally different business now. Summary: Electrician was here less than an hour, flipped some switches in my electrical box, and charged me ~$400. I had used this company prior to the acquisition/merger, and they were phenomenal. I thought I'd found my "no-brainer"--any time I needed electrical work done, I'd go to Swartz. Based on my recent experience, I would never do business with them again. Post-acquisition, there is a ~$58-$68 fee that is simply a dispatch charge to get an electrician to your door and does not include any actual work or troubleshooting. That fee itself is reasonable. What followed was not. A simple electrical issue was escalated into an unnecessary "advanced diagnostic" costing $381 (also new as of the acquisition), only for the electrician to eventually discover that the problem was just partially tripped breakers that needed to be fully reset. That is the most basic troubleshooting step and should have been done immediately. There is no safety rule, code requirement, or licensing restriction that prevents an electrician from resetting a breaker during an initial assessment. An electrician might reasonably pause only if there is evidence of burn marks, overheating, a breaker that immediately re-trips, water intrusion, known damaged wiring, or commercial lockout-tagout requirements. None of those conditions applied here. Any suggestion otherwise reflects company policy or sales process--not an industry standard. Instead of resolving the issue upfront, I was pushed toward advanced diagnostics and then told the $381 diagnostic fee could be waived if I agreed to replace three plug-in breaker components for approximately $1,200. The components were on the older side, but still functional. They will one day die, and when they do, it will not be Swartz Electric replacing them. This experience felt like a textbook upsell rather than competent, methodical troubleshooting. Nothing about this situation justified advanced diagnostics or costly replacements. The issue required no parts, no special tools, and no advanced expertise. Given how different the experience was before the acquisition, I strongly suspect many of the positive reviews reflect the company as it used to operate, not how it does now. Proceed with extreme caution.
