Maybe it's me. Maybe I've done something egregious that I am now paying for with my Enhance Openings experience. I have never had more issues with an order in my life. Every week it's something new. The company's stated promise on their website should read more like: "We will overpromise and underdeliver every time." "We will not communicate in a timely manner." "Our incompetence will be on full display throughout your experience." "We will bend the truth when warranted." It would take an hour to read through my list of grievances, disappointment, and overall dissatisfaction were I to put them down. Suffice it to say, I will not be using them in the future and will do my best to encourage others to steer clear. Worst of all, the folks doing the work are actually very personable. I have a no soliciting sign very clear in my walk way. Despite this a sales guy rang my door bell. I politely pointed out the "no soliciting" sign and he began to talk over me and continue his pitch. I then told him he's actually trespassing and breaking the law by soliciting with my no soliciting sign. He laughed in a condescending manner and began to raise his voice. I shut the door on him before it could escalate and he proceeded to walk across the street and ring the doorbell of my neighbor who also had a clear no soliciting sign. Many other neighbors complained of similar behavior on the same day. Absolutely appalling behavior to harass people at their own residence and accost them at their door step. After almost a year with our newest property door, the locking mechanism became defective and needed a repair. Took a while longer than expected to get an initial response for service but the urgency by Jeff and the expertise of the service call by Gentry once contacted was top notch. I give this company a 1 star rating because they walked my neighborhood pounding on resident's front doors. I had 2 "no soliciting" signs on my property, yet out of respect they kept knocking on my door. To get the rude and pesty jerk to leave I opened the door and pointed to the signs out front. This bozo kept up the sales pitch and wouldn't stop until I shut the door. First of all I would never use this company for anything based on the negative reviews. I can't recommend this place. I talked to a guy that knocked on my door from Enhance. I then spoke with a lady on the phone about setting up an appointment. While on the phone, I was mislead (I believe intentionally) to believe that this company had patio door screens (not patio enclosures, but screens for the sliders). Fast forward to the sit down appointment. A guy came to our home, took measurements, and had us pick out some design options. The options were great. The product seemed solid. However, this company did not carry the screens that I was interested in for my patio sliders. They only had patio enclosures. Despite feeling mislead, I tried to be open to the idea of an enclosure, until I saw the price. Yeah.........no. As soon as the salesman realized my hesitance from seeing the price, he worked with different products and financing options. However, nothing seemed right. When the mention of other companies was brought up, the salesman became a bit defensive. He asked me if I was okay with trusting my family's safety to sub-par security. He also kept repeating how only this company was awarded some international security title. I do not recall the exact title, but I haven't been able to locate anything on their website about this title nor could I find anything about its existence. Lastly, the sales pitch was very stressful and very pushy. Like other reviews have said, the salesman stated they can give me a better rate if I lock in the sale on the spot. However, if I wait the rate will change. When the meeting was finally over, I started receiving texts from the company almost daily (4 out of 5 days before I declined to go any further with this company). The salesman came to our house at the scheduled time and was quite personable. He gave us a well-rehearsed presentation which I am sure has yielded great commissions for him. He quoted a reasonable price, but only if we immediately signed a contract. I told him that I will not be doing business with this company due to high pressure sales techniques. The price if we didn't sign after 15 minutes of promises would be $2300 higher. No professional, respectable business operates this way. I had the most offensive experience with the salesman. I made an appointment to get our free quote and met with the salesman. My husband was not at home. The salesman refused to give me a quote without my husband present. At one point, he was explaining the materials and literally said "well this is why I would like for your husband to be here. HE would understand why we price it like this." And "I understand happy wife happy life but I cannot sell anything without your husband." Apparently my woman brain is unable to make a decision on a door. I will be avoiding this company as this was super shady. Glad I dodged a bullet. read more

First it was a bait and switch. Their salesmen showed us Pella samples and brochures, then put some knock off crap on the contract for a high price. My bad for not noticing the switch on the contract. The installation was well done. Within a month the hardware that locks one side of the french door broke. After a about a year the sealant around the window panes in the french door started leaking/oozing inside the double pane and looks horrible. This door is not worth 1/2 of what I paid. I could have found the same or better quality at a big box start for less. It took months to get someone to come out and look at it and now I have been waiting for 6 months and counting for a repair or replacement. Stay away from this company! read more

When they discovered how far off of square my entryway was, they suggested options and made recommendations, and I went with their recommendation, which turned out to be stunning and so secure. They were also a real pleasure to work with. My salesman was Abraham, who was also a pleasure to work with and he had great follow-through in working with my HOA, which I really appreciated. We love the Pella windows and door. We highly recommend Pella. The low rating is because of the lack of professionalism from Jeff, one of the principles of the company. We were condescended to and lied to many times by Jeff and another employee. He used profanities and then hung up on me numerous times. Check other reviews and you we see others have made the same comments. He has treated other customer in the same unprofessional manner.The town of Oro Valley, the ROC and even the Pella office in Phoenix said he wasn't telling the truth. It is by far the worse business experience we ever had. I couldn't believe I was being spoken to like this after spending over $20,000 with his company. He implied that because my cell phone number is somehow associated with my record of homeownership with the county I live in, he can violate the registry, which makes zero sense. I called this company for a bid on security screens. They came at the established time for the appointment. I was asked ahead of time if my spouse would also be there for the consult. This was a very weird call. It took the person that came out, quite some time to reach a bid for me once the measurements were taken. Then, like in other reviews, the price was very high, and if you bought and signed on NOW, during the appointment - it would be thousands less, otherwise, tomorrow your bid was this...(good for one year). I was not provided a hard copy bid, any literature, or even a sales consultant business card at the time, as I was not signing on now. These sales tactics really raise red flags and provide a warning to stay clear, regardless of what they say during that consultation. I was very disappointed! They would not come out unless my wife could be in the meeting. I informed them we are old and my wife is in bad health and could not attend. The appointment setter checked with a supervisor and they wanted to know what my wife's condition was? Why can she not attend? This was rude and very offending! This is not a good company for older people! Update: Fact #1 Did not want to come to my house if my wife could not attend. Fact # 2 Pushed the issue when told my wife is ill, inquiring as to her condition. Fact #3 Received one nasty phone call from the owner. Fact #4 Reported incident to Pima County Sheriff because I felt threatened. Fact # 5 Received 8 text threatening to sue me over my review. Fact # 6 4 Phone calls from there lawyer (very nice person) and came to a agreement that was not honored by the owner. Fact #6 Recorded the conversation without my consent. This was a strange visit. A young man rings my door bell. We are a neighborhood with no solicitations, I believe there is a sign at one of the gates. He asked us if we were interested in upgrading our doors and windows. Funny enough, we are thinking seriously about a new front door. The gentlemen took our info and said someone would call to set up an appt. for tomorrow. Guy called back and said both my husband and myself had to be there. Red flag for pressure as far as I can see. Bigger chance of a sale if both are there. They may be good because their products are well known. We were looking around to replacing our skylights and wanted a specific brand and this company came up as one that installed them. I normally get at least 3 bids on a job around my house. I knew something was up when they wanted both my wife and I to be present during the visit. I told them on the phone that I would not be making a decision right away as I need more bids. When the salesman arrived he had no real knowledge of the product and did a quick bid on this IPAD and told me it would be around 3K if we sign right away or 7K if we didn't. I wanted more information about how they would install the product but he said he was a salesman not the installer. Once we signed the installer would come by and look at the house. He left without giving me a bid. A week later when I still had not received his bid I finally called him and he indicated there was some computer errors and would send out the bid the next day. The final bid is for over 16K over 5 times the original bid. Shady is a polite word for this type of bidding. His response to any questions I had on the pricing was that the company has been in busy for a long time and that should be good enough.....it's not for me. Don't sign up with them if they can't give you a bid and hold to it. read more

Salesman came out to give a quote for a French style door and some solar tubing. Highest pressure sales I have ever encountered. Went on and on about how they are the only company in Tucson that does this and offers that, lifetime warranty, etc. etc. It is possible that their product is very good, but it seemed like a very expensive quote. Oh, but if you sign up right now, you will get a great discount! And if you order more than one (solar tube), you will actually pay less for three than for one (but it was going to be over 5K for 3 so that means one costs more than 5k).....what??? When asked to break down costs, he very quickly went through it on his iPad, but would not show us. When we told him that we only requested a quote and we like to discuss things and have time to make a decision, and we were not ready to commit right this minute -he said that if we did not, we would no longer get the discount, even if we decided to move forward tomorrow. Don't want to sign today, the price goes way up! He used the excuse that only 4 people in the last year have called back after the fact, and if they do not decide right away, then they typically do not, and then they do not get the sale. Well I can tell you why - who the heck is going to call you back and hire you after the fact when you are going to jack the price way up because they did not sign immediately and cave in to your high pressure sales? And FYI, most people do not appreciate high pressure sales and feeling forced to make a decision right now. I felt like I was at a car dealer, it was the worst waste of 2 hrs of my life ever! Do not call this company unless you absolutely know you are ready to sign up right now. The only good thing I have to say is that they do offer 2 year 0% financing, along with longer payment plans with low interest rates. I have no idea how their actual work is as we ended up deciding their business policies made us unwilling to work with them. They caught my husband and I (female) in person in our driveway, and we were willing to give my info to set up a free estimate. They called to schedule, assumed their number was for the husband as I use an androgynous nick-name. The associate agreed to meet with me later that week. The next day they called asking the reschedule to a time me and my husband (who works full time and goes to school full time) would both be home "so we can answer any questions either of you may have". I told them it was simply not doable in business hours due to our schedules, and that frankly the home is only in my name anyways in terms of decisions. They said they understood and would see me the next day (July 11th). I waited 30 min after their scheduled time and ten called to se eif they were coming. The associate said "oh, we thought it was clear we couldn't come unless you were both there, so we cancelled." Okay, fine. I gave up. Today (3 weeks later) I got a follow-up call asking to schedule again, and once again was told it could only be done with both of us there (not that they would know I was married if we hadn't both been in the driveway when they met us). When I explained why we didn't want to and asked to speak with a supervisor, i was put on hold and then told that I had to come with my husband to their showroom to request that exception. Not worth the headache, inflexibility, likely pressure-push to decide day-of estimate sales pitch we would have gotten, and what I read as on some level serious sexism. read more

After sitting down with a sales associate named Shawn H. for about 5 hours, the associate left and we had a work order to replace a window with a patio sliding door. We were happy with the price and happy we had the papers all filled out and had been approved for the loan. Skip to the next day. My husband received a phone call that Shawn, who claimed to have many years on the job, had messed up on the estimate and instead of $5005 it would be closer to $8000. Clearly this was not what was agreed upon and not what the paperwork and loan had guaranteed for us. Despite this, they will not honor the contract that was signed. I wish there was recourse for this because I had to run my credit and gave up 5 hours of my time. The biggest thing we had told the associate that we value in contractor work was the commitment to the price quoted. The guy said he understood and guaranteed that they stand by their word and were a good and reputable company. Clearly this is not true because now its the next day and already they have broken faith with us. I just purchased a new front door to replace my sagging, rotted, and sun-damaged wood door. I opted for the fiberglass door made by Enhance Openings. You pay a little extra but it's well worth it for a peace of mind. Get it done right, once. Eddie Flores was my contact person. He came and showed me samples of door frames, locks, and hinges. I opted for a fiberglass door with wood design and multi point lock system so the door still looks like a solid wood door. The multi point lock makes it secure minus the steel/metal bar look. read more
