    My first appointment with Mel for hyaluronic fillers was supposed to be on Sunday, January 23 at noon. She texted me at 7pm the night before telling me she had not received her product. I thought this was a little unprofessional, but also decided not to think much of it. I worked customer service for 10 years so I do realize mistakes happen and I'm usually just a pushover/always giving the benefit of the doubt when things like that happen. My second appointment for the final round of hyaluronic fillers was supposed to be on Sunday, February 13. As I was walking out the door Mel texted me saying she "couldn't find her keys" (screenshots attached). As you can see, Mel did not even apologize for this. That was the part that really bothered me the most. It then took her some time to even respond to me about rescheduling. Still no apology. This behavior was shocking to me, as I knew Mel was just starting up her small business and wanted to see it thrive. We were able to reschedule and Mel offered me a free teeth whitening for the "inconvenience". I agreed and showed up to my appointment on Sunday, February 20. She told me we would schedule my teeth whitening appointment. As you can see in the screenshots, I initiated talking about the service on March 5 - didn't get a response. So I messaged once again on March 17 to which she responded to saying she hadn't "seen" the message. March 20 I then tried scheduling with her and ever since then, no response. It is now April 16. However, her phone seems to be working just fine as she posts on her "business" Instagram page every day. I've been meaning to leave this review for a while now, however I was holding out because I was still trying to give Mel the benefit of the doubt and patiently wait for a response. LOL. Her lack of reliability and customer service is just all around BAD BUSINESS. 10/10 do not recommend to anyone. It's a shame because originally I had told multiple people about her who were interested in her services, but they all know now to stay away and to tell others to as well. Hopefully one day she learns how to properly run a business and at least do the bare minimum to keep clients happy. Here's a tip Mel - Don't offer free services to clients if we you are going to ghost them and not follow through. Judging by Melinda's below, it doesn't look like I'm the first one you've done this to. Thanks!

My husband found Dr Harrells office because it was on the lower level of our chiropractors building. He went in to talk to them and was convinced that the receptionist was the nicest person he had ever talked to. I called their office a day or so later to see if they took our dental insurance plan and after scheduling new patient exams and cleanings, I immediately called my husband to let him know that he was right. Amazing customer service! Dr Harrell was fantastic, their technology is all up to date. Great chair side manners and I felt he was completely skilled. My husband went to his appointment and even though he normally has to take relaxers prior to cleanings and dental work, he now willingly goes with no meds! The dental hygienists are gentle and just the right amount of chatty. They remind my kids of good dental habits, and never chastise or make them feel bad for not flossing as often as they should! I have and will continue to recommend Dr Harrell to friends and family.

The dentist I saw 6 months prior to Dr. Oakes had also not seen anything of concern or any areas that they said they want to keep an eye on. Suddenly, Dr. Oakes "found" several places to fill/fix and pushed me to get those procedures done. I have always had bi-annual cleanings/check-ins my whole life leading up to switching to Dr. Oakes. I haven't had any cavities or other teeth issues that would warrant a filling or anything other than routine cleaning. It was very fishy to me that these "issues" they saw were never seen by othter dentists, especially if there were several problems, so I canceled the 2 times they tried to schedule me for the procedures. The dentist I switched to for my bi-annual after Dr. Oakes didn't see any issues with my teeth, even after asking them directly about the teeth Dr. Oakes was going to fill. It is scary to think that if didn't know any better, I would've had unnecessary fillings done which could've lead to unnecessary issues with my teeth later. On top of that, it would've been very costly to have these done, even with isurance. Not everyone has a few hundred dollars to throw around. How many people has he convinced that they needed procedures done when they didn't? How many people lost their money to Dr. Oakes poor/greedy judgement? As if this couldn't get worse, Dr. Oakes was a creepy individual. In both appointments he would touch my shoulders and upper chest in a way that dentists never did and never would need to. He also asked questions that were weirdly personal. I gaslit myself after my first appointment there regarding this behavior, but when it happened during the 2nd appointment to a more intense degree, I switched to a new dentist. The front desk worker is also not the best to deal with. Always seeming annoyed with patients and talked bad about people after phone calls with them.
