That being said, the negatives that I have are purely coming from a sanitation perspective, as I am also a New York State licensed waxer. Never once have I seen a single technician wear a pair of gloves. That is New York State law. I also can say with confidence that every single time the technician picks up Wax on a stick, she blows on it with her mouth, which is also against New York State law. No one has ever put pressure on the freshly waxed skin, which is a technique that I was personally taught in school, but make sure that I practice while working to ensure the least amount of pain for my clients. Lastly, this is more of a personal issue, but I feel no matter what time of day I come into the salon, whoever works on me has just eaten a meal and I have to hold my breath because of the odor being exhaled directly into my face. Overall, I think that the salon is conveniently located, and appears to be beautiful- the staff is very kind, but sanitation practices are not consistent at all.

After 30 minutes I was asked if I wanted another 15minutes because she didn't touch one area. I can't have half of my face done and the other half not. Sitting through 45 minutes of electrolysis was not fun and unnecessary. I had her stop with three minutes left because the anxiety was killing me. The technician spent more time flaking away the numbing cream I had one than doing electrolysis. Every other technician in the past has wiped it off. On top of that I still have hair in one spot. Everything has always been taken care of in an half hour with the two other technicians (elsewhere). I have had electrolysis many many times and this was by far the worst. I did give two stars because I had the wrong time in my calendar and they did accommodate me after coming late.

She said she it was strange that only one eye turned red, since she applied the same exact eye shadow and liner to both eyes. Maybe some eye shadow particles fell in my eye, but I didn't feel anything. She was nervous, but she quickly reacted and got eye drops to apply to my eye. She stopped and waited for the eye drops to reduce the redness in my eyes. I had a hair appointment next door and she went over to inform the hair stylist that I was going to be late. I found out that this location is one of the few corporate locations which means it is not part of the franchise. I had noticed that it is a lot more beautiful than the other franchise locations including the decor and the special lighting. That's in the rooms. it definitely feels more luxurious than the other locations I booked the laser package for full legs for $1800 and was absolutely blown away by the new technology that they had purchased. I knew that EWC was going to invest in the most new and highest advanced technology available for laser. It uses a nitro system, which felt like there was cold puffs of water being sprayed onto my legs, it was for the most part painless. She acted as if I was rude and implied I didn't understand her profession. Her words and behavior were so disjointed and irrational from the actual conversation, I was bewildered.
