I can't give this store enough praises! It may be pricier than box stores, but trust me when I say the value you get is more than fair. Whitney does so much research to provide us with a huge selection of baby products that are safe for our little ones and not as harmful to the environment. She is a wealth of knowledge and every time I go in there, I end up learning something new (even when I walked in thinking I knew it all already!). It is sooo nice to have a store where I can do pre/post weights with my baby that is in South Austin. I hated having to rush up to a nursing store up north. Natural Baby has a scale and is breastfeeding friendly, so moms of South Austin take note! They also have a good selection of baby carriers, toys (Green Toys - my favorite brand), neat bottles, outfits and tons of other unique environmentally friendly and organic baby and kid stuff. They staff is very friendly. Stop by & check them out. I want them to stay around a long time! The only thing they don't have i wish they did is nursing supplies/clothes. This place has so many cool items to look at. My sister-in-law and I took a class here in infant safety. The "Baby Guru" taught us how to do CPR on an infant, as well as other ways to keep a baby safe. The class was about two hours long and was filled with so many useful tips on how to keep your baby safe and out of harms way, including a lesson on choking. I learned a lot of SIDS and how to prevent it. read more

I wrote my first review 6 months or so before my son was born. Since then, I have continued to receive excellent service from The Natural Baby Company and my son LOVES to go in this store. (He particularly likes the swing that they have in the middle of the store). They really worked with me when I was trying out wool covers and was not lanolizing properly and have answered a million questions about loads of other things. They have classes for a host of different things (baby sign language, safety stuff etc) and the ladies who work there are all just so nice. I STILL adore this store. read more

When I ordered my crib I thought it was a great interaction on the phone, but the management since then has not been up to par. First, I never received an emailed receipt or order number after I placed the order, so each time I've called I have to explain my order. As the date I was to receive my crib came close, I called to ensure I was able to be around for the delivery since we work full time/Thanksgiving coming up. The manager continued to say they didn't know the status but they'd get back to me, which they didn't. Then the week it was supposed to be delivered I called again to ask the status and the manager said she'd call the company. Found out days later that the crib had been ready but the company was holding it because they wanted to ship it with other orders- which I find ridiculous since I'm paying to ship my individual order-- again something that could have been pushed along had management been following up on the timeline. After hearing that, the mangar said she told the company to send the crib right way, and would get back to me with the shipping and tracking information. Ten days later and I still haven't received the tracking or shipment information. When you're paying for an expensive piece of furniture you'd expect more diligence from the store you're ordering from- needless to say I'd likely tell friends to order furniture from another store at this point. read more

We went here for a car seat installation and check. Victoria (I think) was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. We learned so much despite having already read the car seat manuals. It was definitely worth the small fee they charge. The shop itself has tons of local and/or small business merchandise that is thoughtfully curated. RUDE! Absolutely inexcusably ugly attitudes. We were strolling South Congress and I had heard about this place at MommyCon and decided to check it out. Their prices are higher than another natural baby boutique in the Austin area, but they DID have Amber and Nursing necklaces, that the other store did not have. So I decided to get some as gifts for my Momma friends. My husband asked what an amber necklace was for and I told him for teething pains, etc. He asked, "They chew on it?", this woman looked at him like he was crazy and said "No..do NOT put this in a baby's mouth", not sarcastic, not playful, but RUDE. As we were checking out I remembered I wanted a pregnancy test and saw a jar behind the counter for cheapo strips at $1 each and figured, why not. I asked the man checking us out to add one. He snidely said, "only one?' and all but snorted in disgust. We will keep trekking to Round Rock, instead. Their space is much nicer at that competitor and the classes/perks and prices are better too for the same stuff! read more

We have purchased gifts for kids birthday parties and they have a beautiful selection of toys and they offer free gift wrap. I've just recently had my own baby so have enjoyed going in to pick items up. When I've been in with my baby they have welcomed me to nurse her on the couch, very cool. I love kids, but I don't have kids, and I usually try to steer clear of baby stores in general because they are often irritating and, let's be honest, I'm far from their target market. But THIS STORE... this store is FABULOUS! The products are unique, beautiful, high quality and absolutely adorable. It is clear that their stock is hand-curated by someone who really knows, really cares, and has a great eye. And I came to learn that that person is Whitney, the owner, who was also incredibly helpful to me in choosing some beautiful yet budget-friendly items for a couple of baby gifts I was putting together.
