AWFUL COMPANY. We bought a Groupon for this service and have been trying to schedule a tour for 7 months, with no luck. They don't answer their phone, they take 3-5 WEEKS to return an email, and when you finally do get in contact, they can't schedule you for the requested weekend because surprise!! It has been a month since you requested it and they filled it! We thought we had found a compromise when they allowed us to use our Groupon on their Saturday bus tour. Nope! After getting a response back three weeks later to our request for confirmation, they said they had no record of us being on the bus tour. With three days before this is supposed to happen, of course. So, we will be getting our money back from Groupon. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME. Finally, on the day of the tour Enlyten didn't call to confirm (as their contract states they will), nor did they show up. Their voicemail is full, and they don't reply to emails. Big scam! I love it all and I live in an amazing state to be able to try a bunch of places that make it right here. The only problem with doing a tour of wineries is, well, you find of get a little buzzed in the process. So it's, of course, completely irresponsible to drive. That's where Enylten came in the other week. My friends and I took a tour of several lovely wineries (and a meadery... is that a word?) in the Boulder/Denver area last week and we were very happy with the service we received from this car service. We were in a van since there were 6 of us and we had a great time joking around in between stops while we were in our booze ride. Darnell was awesome, telling us why he chose the wineries that he did and why he liked each place, along with a little history of each place. Not that I remember the histories. I was drinking wine all day. It's a bit of a boozey blur. Which is why I had a nice car service taking me on the tour. read more

Here's the deal.... Darnell the driver from Enlyten kills it. He drove myself and some awesome peoples (including my LadyHawk) around for an afternoon of wine tasting. He knows his wines, he listens to good tunes (and will listen to yours as well) and he's just a good professional driver. We had a blast with this car service. They were prompt and kept us on a good schedule while we drank the afternoon away enjoying some amazing local wines. They let us keep a cooler of snacks (i.e. cheese and other wine-like items) in the van and just made us feel completely at home. From what I understand, they do brewer tours, wine tours, and trips to Red Rocks for concerts. I would and will definitely use them for all of the above. So should you. For real. For a company that bothers to read and respond to negative yelp reviews, I'm surprised that they aren't doing anything to fix their problems. Communication is spotty at best. Even when I do get an email back, my questions aren't answered. No one has ever answered when I call and voicemails go unanswered as well. The scheduling process is a joke. When you finally get an email response, you get a Word doc to fill out with your pickup information and Groupon number and then you highlight the breweries you want to visit and email it back. Then you get a couple more liability documents that you need to print to give to the driver along with any PayPal receipts and your Groupon (even though they should already have that information). The documents, the emails I received, and the website all have conflicting information on when the pickup time is. We finally got our tour scheduled for Oct 12th and paid extra to add some friends and a second pickup location (bringing our $270). Due do an unexpected memorial service that was scheduled on the 12th, I contacted Colorado Brew Tours several days before our tour to reschedule to Oct 26th. I got an email response saying that we were rescheduled. That email was that last I've heard from Colorado Brew Tours or Enlyten Car Service. There were several pickup times from 11:00 - 12:30 mentioned in the various emails and documents I received and on the Colorado Brew Tours website. So, I tried to be patient. It's now 1:30 PM on the day of our tour. I've called each number I can find for Enlyten several times and left messages. I've also emailed Colorado Beer tours. I haven't heard a thing back. I scheduled this tour as a birthday gift for a friend and now the day is pretty much a bust - we've been waiting around for 2.5 hours. I'm so angry, I'm going to be contacting the BBB and suggesting to each brewery I visit that they blackball these clowns. read more

My wife purchased this tour for me last Christmas through Groupon. Like most people, we let this lapse almost a whole year. When we tried to sign up we found out that almost all the available slots were taken. This really was our fault, but a little more information about how the process works would have helped. I see a lot of bad reviews listed here, but our experience was great. I expected to be on a mini van or some such thing but as this was just my wife and I, we had a personal driver in a nice comfortable car. Our driver was new to doing these tours but was on time, very knowledgeable, and had a great personality. We drove up to Ft Collins from Denver in the morning because we were told that the tour lasted 8 hours regardless where we started from. So if you pick breweries in multiple cities, be prepared to lose a lot of time driving. We chose Odel, New Belgium, Equinox, Ft Collins, and Pateros Creek and our driver got us in and out of each and back to our hotel perfectly. We had a blast. So my advice to all who want to do this is call and find out what times are available, pick your breweries keeping in mind of the time between places, and be ready for a great experience. read more

We booked our 2nd brew tour with Gil on the weekend of 10/13/12. Thinks weren't great. Gil had subcontracted out another driver, on the morning of our tour. Our replacement driver was cool, but we quickly found out that things were going awry. In the past Gil had arranged deals with certain breweries. This new driver knew none of this and thus there were no discounts at any of the breweries. In addition, the time we had been allotted for our tour was shortened by 1.5 hrs. He double booked another tour at the same time. Our bus ended up just dropping us off on Pearl St. in Boulder because they had to be somewhere else (double booked) Much of our stuff (cooler, drinks, misc.) had to be left on the bus because we had no way to lug all of it around Pearl St. Gil called later in the night saying it had been left in the back of our truck. It was never to be found..... We have had two great experiences with Gil (enlytn car service) . The first time (4/16/11) we had 18 people on a brewery tour of Northern Colorado. Gil was on time and prompt about staying in touch with us about questions we had. Gil hooked us up with deals at 4-5 of the breweries we visited . (Odell, FoCo brewery, Grimm and new Belgium ) .He was funny and an enjoyable driver to have along with our crazy group. The second time I used the service was on a last minute trip(5/11/11) to DIA . I was able to get a prompt response regarding the trip and we had no issues getting to the airport. read more

Did one of their "Beer Buddy Tours" yesterday. Originally started as a Groupon purchase that we added three additional people to. It was a little hard to book our tour, but when you get a Groupon, you have to expect the business to be busy. I procrastinated on setting a date, and was unable to do so before the original expiration date of the Groupon. Gil (who I assume is the owner) extended our Groupon for six months, and we were able to book our tour. Positives: Driver (Jim) was very cool. Knew the locations of the breweries, and was open to a little on-the-fly change to our schedule (we added a stop for lunch and switched one brewery for another). Our car arrived on schedule, as promised. We were upgraded to a small limo for no additional charge. It was kind of fun pulling up to the breweries in a limo. Classy! Negatives: Gil is not fast at returning emails. If you expect prompt responses, you will be disappointed. In many cases, you will wait days for a response. I'm not sure that anyone would put up with that if they didn't need to use up a Groupon offer. As some of the other reviews have mentioned - this is just a car service. They do not set up actual tours of the breweries you visit. In their defense - they don't claim to do so, though the mention of the brewery tours on their website can lead you to believe that when you get to the breweries that you will get a tour. read more

Not sure what happened with the other comments on here, but I had a really good experience with Enlyten my first time using it. I go to a lot of Red Rock shows, and have used a lot of expensive limo services before (ie Sunset). I decided to try Enlyten for a change, and was glad I did. I used the shuttle service for the first time last week, and our driver Ron was great and showed up right on time. The shuttle itself was much cleaner than most limos Ive been in, and had a bumpin sound system that actually worked (major plus for Red Rocks shows). Honestly, if your fine taking the shuttle bus like my friends and I were, you really cant beat this price and service. read more

I can't imagine running a business the way this guy does, and still BEING in business. Long story short: I bought a Groupon for brewery tours for 4 people and called this company to see what Saturdays were available. We found a date that worked for me, and I filled out his paperwork and emailed it to him within 7 MINUTES of the phone call. One day later, he tells me that date isn't available anymore, even though we just talked on the phone? After some emails back and forth with Groupon and Colorado Brew Tours, we agreed to switch my tour to a different type of tour so I would be able to keep the date we set. Great. Keep in mind this is over 2 months prior to the tour... ...Fast forward to this week. I email the brewery tour company to confirm my reservation for this tour. He replies in a timely manner that I do indeed have a reservation for 4 of us on a "Super Saturday" tour and to tip my driver. OK, weird. But at least I have my reservation confirmed. Today: Today he texts me and tells me "We are having vehicle problems we must cancel your tour" and that's it. So after 2+ months of trying to arrange a tour with this guy and switching the kind of tour, it appears this guy is true to his Yelp reviews and my 3 out-of-town buddies and I don't get to do a long-awaited brewery tour. Lesson learned: read online reviews before plunking down your hard-earned cash, folks. At this point, I'm not sure if I can even get my money back or what. This business is a glorified car service. And being driven around in a retiree's personal cadillac, isn't want I would call comfortable. I am kind of confused on what my $89 pays for, because they don't book any tours at the breweries that is all up to us. When my friend and I stopped into Left Hand Brewery in Longmont, the minute they saw who we were with, they apologized! That's how bad a rep this business has! I bought this Groupon Brewery tour as a B-day gift for my husband. I e-mailed a list of breweries to the company and asked if we should tour Boulder or Denver, the reply was, "Those are very good choices." I was perplexed, so asked again, and got the same response. I decided to just pick the tour, myself, and confirm that we were scheduled for his B-day, which we were. On his B-day, I had snacks for our tour and a cooler all set to go. They were supposed to pick us up at our house in Centennial, and drive us to the breweries in Boulder; so I took my husband to breakfast so we could get a good beer-drinking base, and told him about the surprise tour I had planned. Fifteen minutes after they were supposed to pick us up (11:15), I got a call saying that our driver was in an accident, and that a larger tour was meeting at Strange Brewery in Denver at noon (a 40 minute drive for us), and wanted to know if we could drive out there. I said, no, because the whole point of them picking us up at the house was to avoid driving. I told them that we would just have to reschedule. I felt bad about my husband's B-day gift, so took him shopping, instead. While shopping, an hour after the trip was cancelled, someone called and said that he would be at the house to pick us up in 30 minutes. Again perplexed, I said that we had cancelled the trip because our driver was supposedly in an accident. Which I think confused the guy on the phone. I said, no thanks, because I didn't want to rush home only to be disappointed on his birthday, again. We tried rescheduling the tour for a time when we would be in a nearby town to Boulder on vacation, but they wanted to charge us a $150 extra, because we were now out of their area. I e-mailed Groupon, and because they give refunds - no questions asked - we got our money back as Groupon bucks. Don't deal with the hassle. read more

BELIEVE everything that everyone said about this company. I was foolish enough to purchase a Groupon for this "service". Here were the issues: - The company did not get back to us after several weeks of emailing them to set up a tour. - When Gil finally called to schedule a tour, he said he would send a confirmation email. I never received one, and when I followed up to see if he would send me that email, he said the date he promised me was no longer available. (I had to coordinate 12 people's schedules--we were NOT rescheduling.) - I left him messages and an email to make the original date he gave us work. I had to call multiple times to get him to pick up. - Gil never gave details about what to expect for this tour, leaving me and my group wondering what we needed to do. POOR COMMUNICATION. - When my friends and I finally went to the first brewery on a Super Saturday Tour (because that was the only one we could do), NO VAN EVER CAME TO DRIVE US ANYWHERE. While there was a driver there, he never came to my group to tell us what was happening. Evidently the van that was suppose to take us was having "technical difficulties" (uh, you mean, mechanical difficulties??) - We DEMANDED our money back and said that we were not going to wait any longer for a bus/van/sketchmobile that wasn't coming. We ended up waiting an hour and a half at the first brewery before we decided it was no longer worth our time. - I called Gil multiple times and sent him a strongly worded email telling him that we expected our money back. He has yet to respond to any form of communication. Even writing all of the up has my heart palpitating--it was THAT awful of an experience. Luckily, Groupon is great and they were happy to refund my money. I just hope in the future that they no longer sell Colorado Brewery Tour groupons because it's nowhere near worth the headache. I was consistently frustrated by the lack of communication during the planning process, where I had to follow up with you many times because you were not returning my calls or replying to my emails. I gave you and your company the benefit of the doubt, understanding that it is a busy time for you, hoping that the planning process was a minor glitch in setting up a tour. When Saturday came, my group and I were confused about what to expect. Because I did not receive a confirmation email from you detailing what would happen during the day, I had to be on the lookout for who would be our drivers, when I believe it should be the other way around. As a customer, I expected that my friends and I were to be taken care of during this trip. An hour passed, and we realized that one group of brewery tourists were gone. There was no communication from Britain or you that there were "technical difficulties"; I had to be the one to seek out Britain to see what was going on. The lack of communication contributed to more frustrations during the day. I had to be the one looking for Britain, as we were never told that one group was even going. When I would check in with Britain--once again, I believe that he should have been the one updating us instead of the other way around--he would give us vague information regarding the situation. An estimated time of arrival, more information surrounding the situation, or a better explanation as to what was happening would have been appreciated. Britain would give us a time that you had given him, tell us that was when we were expecting to leave, only for that time to pass by and there would still be no car. Upon speaking to other individuals at Strange Brewery, we found out that this was a common practice among your business. As I mentioned before, I was giving you all the benefit of the doubt, trying my best to be patient and understanding. However, the lack of communication and ineffectiveness of a "Plan B" for the "technical difficulties" led my group and me to decide that it was no longer worth our time to wait for a bus that would or wouldn't come. My friends and I work hard during the week at our jobs so that we can enjoy our weekends. We dedicated a Saturday to spend with your business as it seemed promising. I bought a groupon for this tour, and although I had to book the tour 3 months out, I had no problems getting it scheduled. We had no idea what to expect, so we were pleasantly surprised to see a limo (granted it was a flash back from the 90's) roll up. Our driver Ron was a great guy, but it was his first day on the job... So he wasn't very knowledgeable on what the game plan was... We had a hiccup on the first drop off when we were dropped off at a brewery that was closed... But right after that we met up with another group and Ron got the low down on how he should be handling our tour. Once that was all straightened out we had a fantastic time! We were driven around to a bunch of local breweries, met some great people, and learned about the beer brewing business. This tour allows you to visit and support local breweries without worrying about not being able to enjoy the wares because you have to drive. I definitely would do this again! read more

So this is the first Yelp review I've ever written. But I had to make an exception for this business (if you can even call it that). I purchased a Living Social voucher for a two person tour of four wineries back in August. My husband and I hoped to use this as a fun activity for our 4th wedding anniversary. I emailed (following instructions on their website) in April to set up a tour for yesterday (June 9). I received an email back a couple days later confirming our tour on June 9, attaching a form to sign, and asking for a pick-up address. I emailed back 10 minutes later with our address and confirming this tour. The day of the tour, I waited around for the day-of confirmation call they told me to except that morning. When no one called, I called the company to make sure we were still scheduled. Someone (I believe the owner) answered and after looking up our reservation, stated that he had our information in his files for a tour today didn't have our pick up address. I would think if he didn't receive my email (that I did send) he would have called or emailed to make sure he had all the information he needed. I gave him our address (again) and he stated that we would be picked up at noon and someone would call us when they were on the way. Noon came and went, no call, no van. I called at 12:30 to find out how much longer it would be and it went straight to voicemail. I left a message but as of today, no one has responded. My husband and I waited around for an hour and then decided no one would be coming to pick us up. I emailed Living Social to inform them of my experience and they have agreed to refund me the amount that I paid for the voucher. Luckily I didn't pay any money to this business as I have no doubt that it would be extremely difficult to get a refund from them. Use caution when considering scheduling a tour with this business, they also have a business doing tours of breweries (Colorado Brew Tours) which has several negative reviews quite similar to our negative experience. Looks like a lot of people are down on CBT, but I was pretty satisfied with my experience. Instructions on the website are pretty straightforward about what you need to send them: date, pick-up info, etc. We scheduled our tour about 2 months in advance and figured out all the details the week of, which wasnt a problem. You should call the parent company, Enlyten Car Service, to talk to somebody. Our driver was pretty funny and got us everywhere on time. At one of the pubs, Grimm Brothers, they had a flight lined up for each of the people in our group. We also visited Oskar Blues and Big Beaver, both of which were fun (we skipped out on our fourth stop because our group, let's say, took our time at each venue to, let's say, savor the experience, if you get my drift). Very worth my money for the price of the Groupon, and getting to bring our tunes was clutch for riding in a van from Denver around to Longmont and Loveland. Cheers! read more

Do not hire Enlyten Car Service! It took me three week just to get a hold of them (the email address provided kept getting returned and they took weeks to return my urgently marked phone call) and once I did, they said they would save the date and time I requested for me. I emailed the release to them as soon as I got it and said I was still working on the itinerary (which they gave no response to). I have been nervous about using them from the get-go, so I emailed them to confirm we were still booked a week before the scheduled date. Three days later they responded "Sorry the first opening we have is in Nov." Luckily, Weekly Plus is issuing me a full refund. I know many have had poor experiences but ours was really quite the opposite. It was entirely professional and genuinely a great time. Gilbert confirmed earlier in the day that he would be picking us up as scheduled. We began at Balisteri where he arrived on time and was extremely polite and personable. We were paired with another couple who will likely be life-long friends. We began our trip to Boulder for a couple stops, then back toward Denver... The entire afternoon/evening was a perfect wine-filled phenomenal trip. Gil helped make the evening enlytening (ha!)- as he had much knowledge in the wine- and enjoyable. I have already referred a friend who booked an upcoming tour! And I would book him in a heartbeat for another wine tour, a brewery tour, or for a concert! My ONLY minor complaint was the poor, tired van. It was clunking a little, but seriously - after the 3rd stop, I didn't notice it anymore ;) The more people book with him, the sooner he can retire the van :p Enlyten has gone through some growth spurts as evidenced by previous reviews, but I believe they've gotten the kinks worked out. So here's the deal: this is a designated driver service. They pick you up from home, deliver you to the breweries you've selected, wait around while you drink (and eat, if your brewery happens to serve food), and then drop you back off at home. That's it. Booking experience was fine, took a few days to get a response & one of our dates was available. There was no other communication until our driver called to confirm the morning of our tour, but he showed up on time as promised, so it worked out. The car was a "luxury" Hyundai. Nothing fancy but pleasant enough. Our driver and the driver-in-training were both super nice guys, and my husband and I had a pretty easy time talking to them even though the situation was a bit awkward. If I did this again, I would go with more people. A few days after our tour the owner called me to make sure we had a good time. He does seem to want to get his company's rep out of the gutter. Suggestions if you want to use this service: First, understand what you're paying for; it's basically just a ride. Second, schedule your tours with the different breweries well in advance, or all you'll really be doing is sitting at tables & sampling beer (Still, not a bad way to spend the afternoon!). Third, make sure your breweries are relatively close together, or you'll spend your whole tour in the car. Fourth, make sure to choose at least one brewery that serves food and not just beer. I purchased the Groupon for Front Range Winery Tours and had an excellent experience. I followed the directions and sent an email with our details and pick-up date and locations. As per FRWT request, I listed 4 wineries that we would like to visit. I did a little bit of research, but really didn't know too much about wine in Colorado. Our day came and I received a call about an hour before our noon pick-up time. The limo arrived and the 6 of us were off on our tour. The driver was incredibly nice. He was willing to take us to any winery we wanted, but he suggested a few that have excellent tasting experiences (Balisteri). We amended our plan and he took care of it all. I will agree that the booking and confirmation process could be improved, but I ad an excellent overall experience with 5 of my friends. read more

I actually had a pretty good experience with Colorado Brew Tours. A friend who was leaving town gave me the groupon for this tour. Darnell, our driver (from Enlyten Car Service), showed up on time, and had a decent ride (limo). My bud and I enjoyed an afternoon of sipping suds up in Boulder and Golden. We DID go during the week though. Some of the fine print items weren't clear - I didn't see that we had to be available for a confirmation call the morning of the trip. Since I used my home number vs. my work number, I didn't get this call until roughly an hour out from pickup time. I would back this confirmation call up to the evening before. I can see where problems would come up - the website is kind of hard to decipher, and the reliance on word document sign up sheets has probably led to some issues with scheduling and customer confusion. Given some work on the site, and a better calendar feature so that users could see availability, I'm sure business would go smoothly - customers AND Colorado Brew Tours schedulers wouldn't have to work quite so hard. This is the biggest rip-off in Colorado! They use vans vs limo buses; are always late; don't reimburse customers when they say they will; don't go to the wineries they say they will take you to. They use some other name to collect your crerdit card info-last month is was one name-this month-it's another. Just found out they've been reported to the Colorado Attorny Generals Office for not reimbursing customers. STAY AWAY AND TELL YOUR FRIENDS TO SKIP THIS MESS!! read more

Colorado Brew Tours sounds like a good idea but it turned out to be a serious disappointment! All it turns out to be is a limo service. The driver knew where breweries are but they only know a little about some of the breweries and failed to help us design a good schedule for seeing the ones we wanted. *Save your money, pick a designated driver, and making a few phone calls to breweries to ask about their interest in giving tours/samples to a small group.* Scheduling a tour, or even understanding when tour slots are available is confusing and their website is clumsy. Rather than booking a tour through their website you have to download a Word doc, edit it, and e-mail it to someone. The person who answers their customer service e-mail address did a poor job answering my questions. After stumbling through the booking process we got an e-mail confirming a pick up time the following day. Once the time came nobody showed up! We discovered that someone had left us a voice message at maybe five minutes before we were supposed to be picked up. When we responded to the call we were told that the time was too early and that we would be picked up more than an hour later. So, we sat around and waited... For the tour we were dropped off at the requested breweries but with little or no advice about each brewery's interest in doing tours or ability to offer small sample beers. Got my confirmation email - with the instructions that they would call to confirm the morning of... No call, no way to leave a message - the mail box was full... no answer to my emails that I sent. Still no answers two days later. No tour - No fun. Our group went on our own beer tour - went downtown and walked to several really great places (Breckenridge, Great Divide, Flying Dog and River North) all fairly close.... Had a wonderful time - all the places had great beer and were extremely friendly. This Groupon deal was a bust and the "limo" service a total sham. I had actually purchased a Groupon for Colorado Brew Tours, but it is run/owned by the same person. On the day of my tour, I did not receive my morning confirmation call, so I called the business and spoke to a man. He said he was having technical difficulties and would call me back. I have yet to ever receive a follow up call from this company (no one showed to pick us up either) and my tour was supposed to be on 8/18/12. I did manage to get an email response from the owner, Gil, several days after my tour was supposed to happen. He claimed that someone else with the same name had a tour scheduled for that day and they had cancelled, so they mistakenly cancelled my tour instead. REALLY?!?!? Even if that very improbable situation occurred, that is no excuse for the lack of return call, nor does it explain why I wasn't simply told that when I called the day of the tour. At this point, I emailed a request for a refund to owner. He told me I can either schedule another tour or basically, I'm SOL. I am so highly disappointed with the response I received, I would never consider rescheduling. My fiance and I were so pumped for our beer tour and were so bummed with their lack of response. I would highly recommend you avoid colorado brew tours/enlyten car service unless you want to be left high and dry. I wish there was a way to put two different ratings on this review. The correspondence between Colorado Brew Tours and their customers is HORRIBLE!!! I initially emailed them to try and schedule a tour. It took over two weeks to receive a reply. I also called them and left a voicemail during this time and my phone call was never returned. Once the day of the tour arrived, everything was great. Had a great time, visited some great breweries, and sampled some great beer. Overall, once you get past the complete lack of communication, the tour is awesome!!! read more
