As everyone else notes this place is small. I was doubting peoples concept of small when I decided to visit but listen here, this place is SMALL! I would picture it more like a dinner that also serves as a bar. The grills are right behind the counter. The forte here seems to be burgers. As mentioned in previous reviews, the burgers are original and unique. I really enjoyed the avocado and jalapeño burger. I like how just a few people here can make it feel like a happening place. I would recommend this place to anyone. It is a regular hangout of mine. The burgers and fries are STRAIGHT. UP. ADDICTIVE. Very much worth their moderate price range. You pay a little more because you're getting better than fast-food quality, by far. Enoch's is small with a GARGANTUAN following. Yet, no matter what, those servers have met me with nothing but friendliness and energy. One of them evern remembered me from my previous visit about a week ago and asked me how I was. How those servers go through lines out the door, a constantly packed restaurant and still keep that friendliness is beyond me. They are angels. Enoch's also has great live musis from local bands on a regular basis. These are quality acts, too. It also comes complete with TVs for you to watch games and conversate. Clearly a local joint, but great burgers for a fair price with a friendly staff. Not one of those fancy burger joints, just a casual bar with a great variety of burgers. Even though I could tell this was more of a local place I never felt out of place, and the servers were really nice and courteous. read more

I ate at Enoch's tonight. This is my first time in Monroe, and after spending a few days here, I have learned that they really take their food seriously in this little city. I've eaten just about everywhere one can imagine in the US, and I don't think I've ever eaten in a city with as good of food as Monroe. That's why a five-star review for Enoch's is such a ringing endorsement. The competition here is extreme, and yet the food at Enoch's still rises above many of the other wonderful establishments here. The first impression is that it's kind of a dingy bar. Now I have eaten in man places that are dingier. In fact, my favorite restaurant in the whole wide world is a total dive bar. It's definitely not a deal breaker, but it would tend to be a detraction. The ambience is also kind of loud and boisterous. Again, this is typically not my style, but I can get over that if I can find a place to sit that's not too in-the-way. Lance was our server, and he was pretty awesome. The place was busy. Rumor has it that it gets much busier. Lance looked extremely busy, but he always took the extra couple of minutes to explain menu items. He also had a good sense of humor. He took good care of us, which is usually not an expectation in a pub like this. The rest of the crew was great, too. Every time one of the employees walked by our table, they took the time to stop and ask how we were doing. Technically, I believe four different people assisted us while we were there. That kind of teamwork in a restaurant environment is amazing, and this is coming from someone who has spent a decade working in the industry. I haven't even gotten to the best part yet. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger. I can't remember what it was called on the menu because it took all of my brain power to remember Lance's name because he deserved a shout out here on Yelp. I ordered it dressed but without the onion. I also ordered a side salad without the olive mix (I have a mild allergy to olives). The salad was good. The dressing was thicker than normal, which is a good thing. The produce was fresh and tasty, but the burger was absolutely to-die-for. I'm somewhat of a connoisseur when it comes to burgers. Was this the best burger I have ever eaten? It's close. It's very, very close. I did not put any condiments on my burger. That's how I know it's good. When eating a burger at a new place, I like to try it before putting my traditional ketchup and mustard fare on it. This one did not need any ketchup or mustard. It came with a side of their Guiness gravy, which was also quite good. I tried it on the burger, and even though it tasted wonderful on the hamburger, I decided that the hamburger was too delicious to smother with any kind of sauce. I'm here in Monroe for two weeks. I'm going to try to make it back at least once. I hear they have live music, too. I might have to check some of that out. read more

Very good "craft burgers" always hand made from fresh ground beaf, good selection of Cold beer with of course Guinness. Tuesday is 2-4-1 burgers, Wednesday is happy hour all evening, and weekends usually has live entertainment. All with an Irish theme. read more

The food is fantastic! But not worth the wait. First of all, the wait for the server alone is insane. I completely understand the get majorly busy because who doesn't like a good Irish pub? But if they don't have enough servers and bartenders to tend to everyone the let in, then they need a cap amount. 10 people per server. My fiancé literally had to drag one out and then she got frustrated with us for asking questions about menu options. We appreciate the entertainment but can't truly enjoy it because of the amount of people there or the lack of good service. read more

A very popular Irish pub and grill in the heart of Monroe's Garden District. They serve good nachos, sandwiches, and burgers. Their burgers are really good, although not as big as some other places. On Tuesdays they have 2 for 1 burgers which a lot of people come for; you'll want to come in early for that otherwise it can be hard to find a table and you may be in for a long wait for your food. The place is very small and VERY cramped on the inside which takes away from the ambience, but there is a big patio area to sit at. They have a wide selection of beers and only Irish beers on tap including Guinness, of course! They also have live music often; check out their website for details. Altogether very good and one of the better bars in town, but the very tight, cramped space costs it points. Nonetheless, we love this place! read more

Best bar in Monroe hands down. They have an excellent, homey environment and they keep the live music fresh. The burgers are quite good and their staff is very friendly. The year was 2005. Enoch's burgers were the best I'd had, but I decided to take a pilgrimage and find the country's best burger. For the next few years, every big city I visited, every college town I urinated behind a dumpster in, and every mill town I drove through, I sought out the best burger they had to offer. From Austin to Chicago, from Crystal Springs to Eugene, I tried them all. I tried them all but still nothing could compare to that wonderful burger at Enoch's. No apple smoked bacon or blue cheese crumbles could hold a candle to their beefy delight. I spent years chasing the greener grass, only to find it in my own backyard. You know, metaphorically. I arrived at 7:02 on a Tuesday night found a table where I sat for 27 minutes without being waited on or even asked if I needed anything! Several members or the staff walked past me without any concern! It was busy and I am sure the kind of place you should just push your way thru the crowd to the bar to get a beer and order the burger! Love Enoch's! 2 for 1 burgers on Tuesday are a great deal and the burgers are delicious. BUT, don't come in on Tuesday thinking you'll get your burger in less than an hour. If you're coming on Tuesday, just come in, sit down, relax, get a beer and enjoy youself. Your at a bar!! Don't bust the waiters balls because you had to wait 45 minutes for your burger where are 4 million people there. If you want your burger lickity split, come on another night! Because yes, they do serve burgers every night. Also, they have vegetarian sandwiches and great appetizers. It is small on the inside and people do smoke inside, but there is a non-smoking back room and a huge patio area outside. There is also a wide variety of folks that go here. Could be anybody from the 87 year old man who plays in the bluegrass band to the regulars to college kids. The redhead bartender/owner's daughter Molly is great!
