Came here for Valentine's Day, and the pre-dice menu was absolutely delicious. The main entree, which was lamb ragu was rich, tender, and tasty. They had cute decor but really loved the old classic Italian vibe of the restaurant. You can't ask tell this place is family-owned with how much love they put into their cooking and service!

Hidden gem alert! I can't believe I just discovered Enoteca Roma--this place is a cozy Italian dream. First off, they do tableside polenta, and I don't think I've seen that anywhere else in Chicago! Such a fun experience, and it was so creamy and delicious. For apps, we got the vegetarian arancini, bruschetta flight, and Pirada--all so good, but that bruschetta flight? A must. Everything was fresh and full of flavor. Now for the pasta... OH MY GOD. The Spaghetti Nonna Giovanna was easily one of the best pastas I've ever had. Simple, but the flavors were unreal. And the eggplant parm? Wow. Perfectly crispy, cheesy, and saucy--exactly how it should be. If you love eggplant parm, don't skip this. We wrapped up with tiramisu and caramel cheesecake. I'm usually not a big tiramisu person, but this one was different--so light and creamy. The cheesecake was also a hit! Everything about this place is a vibe--cozy, charming, and insanely good food. I'd come back in a heartbeat!

Overall average Italian restaurant. Came here for dinner on a Friday night. The menu has a good selection of pastas and entrees. Started with the fried risotto balls, 3 per order. They were pretty good, nice flavor and texture. The pastas we got were nothing special, the sauce was good. The ambiance is nothing to rave about. Service was friendly, a tad slow.

This restaurant has the cutest back patio! Perfect for a romantic date night. The service was amazing, our server was very sweet and recommended great dishes. I also love that you can order half portion sizes so that you can try different dishes. The arancini is one of the best I have had in Chicago. Their pizzas are a must try! The pastas were cooked to perfection and the perfect al dente! Great wine selection too! Will definitely come back to their bruschetta flight and the rest of the menu

The pizza was incredible!! The salad was pretty basic, and the service was great - even though they were crazy packed. We will definitely be back!

This may have been one of the best meals I've had since moving to Chicago! Enoteca Roma is a neighborhood favorite for a reason - I had such an incredible time trying out their Happy Hour specials as well as their Mangia Mangia Family Dinner - there are SO many wonderful reasons to put this spot at the top of your Chicago dining bucket list! We sat out on their gorgeous and HUGE outdoor patio - the lighting was perfect and it was a great space to soak up the last bits of summer! Although everything on the menu was incredible (I'm so serious - there were ZERO misses!), here are my "must order" items: -Toscana Rosso Wine -Fried Calamari -Burrata -Pear Ricotta Ravioli -Crimini Mushroom & House Sausage Polenta I would love to give a HUGE shoutout to Fabio and our incredible server Hector for making this such an incredible experience! I will definitely be back #hosted **Please note that although I received this experience for free, all of my opinions are honest and entirely my own.** Follow @Corrine_Eats on Instagram & TikTok for more!

What an amazing dining experience! Came here for Valentine's Day! The place was decorated beautifully, we got our table right away! Friendly staff - went with an appetizer of a few different bruschettas, followed by the shrimp special! Lovely pasta and shrimp! Finished the dinner with Tiramisu! Looking forward to coming back - Hector our waiter was so accommodating and friendly.

Authentic, no frills Italian restaurant. Large portions but it's so good you'll likely end up eating it all regardless (or almost all of it) . We got free dessert because they were a little behind on service and the dessert might've been the best part! Highly recommend.

I couldn't recommend this place more! My date and I sat outside on the patio "aka secret garden" and the ambiance was perfect. It's romantic and quiet little spot. The food is delicious! The Gnocchi Alla Erbe was fantastic. I will go back again.

The definition of a mom-and-pop establishment! Would highly recommend getting yourself a reservation during the colder months as the main indoor dining area is very intimate and was nearly full on a weeknight. We snagged a rez and we got the last empty table. The server was very attentive and was quick to elaborate on any questions we had on the menu. After noticing us showing interest in some of the spicy entree items, she offered un-prompted that any item could be made spicier according to our tastes. We ordered the fried calamari, a pizza with giardiniera and sausage to share, penne in a spicy marinara again with sausage and finally gnocchi with slow-cooked pork. All of the food came out in a reasonable time and was very fresh. The calamari was tender and not chewy in the slightest, and pizza was a delicious, thick pan pizza. Spice lovers will absolutely enjoy the spicy penne and the homemade gnocchi were little pillows of heaven! Enoteca Roma is certainly going to be one of our new go-to's when we're itching for Italian!

I found this place as highly rated authentic Roman Italian food and have to say I wasn't disappointed! We got arancini special of the day and a flight of bruschetta with napoli, roma and calabrese. Arancini was one of the best I have had and was perfectly crispy! The flight was very flavorful and had the freshest ingredients. The house bread was super soft from the bakery and we were in love with it! For our main entrees, we got the spaghetti nonna giovanna and lasagna. The spaghetti was uniquely flavorful and one of a kind vegetarian pasta. Overall, authentic food, great service and casual rustic ambience made our day!

    Amazing desserts!

I walked from the Blue Line and felt extremely safe. It's in such a pretty part of town. There are plenty of seating spaces both inside and outside. When you arrive, you find a table you like and then go up to the counter to order. They have QR codes everywhere so you can see the menu online. If you like natural wines this is the place for you. The people who work here are absolutely incredible. I came straight from the airport so had my suitcase and one of the bartenders offered to take my bag to the back which I adored. My friend also took a really long time to get there from work so I just hung out for a while and they didn't make me feel too weird about it. One of them even gave me a generous pour of the wine I got. I also ordered us a meat and cheese board which was simple, but nice. Do know that the prices are a bit high here. If you want to get a full bottle of wine the average price is about $60 for a bottle. The aesthetics of this bar are A+. It is really loud inside. The name says it all, you will be using outside voices. While we adored this place, the music was a bit loud so it was a little hard to catch up. That being said, we made the most of it. It also was the spot that I asked her to be my bridesmaid so it'll forever have a special place in my heart. If you're looking for a cute and trendy place, with fun music blasting, and a great vibe, this is it. I highly recommend Outside Voices.

Our waiter at Le Mistral was very friendly, gave some good advice on the cocktails, and was consistently attentive. My cocktail was just OK - sherry-based martini. I don't normally like a martini but all the ingredients actually seemed very much up my alley - the sherry, benedictine, rose vermouth. But the olive just overpowered. And definitely not worth the price of $24... Would definitely return and try the food next time as well.

We were not looking to feel the noize, however, and so stayed for just one cocktail. Mine was a Sazerac adjacent mix, and it was very high quality. The decor is very low light, but the vibe is pretty basic - more Paint Your Dorm Room black than Parisian Opium Den black. A bit of a missed opportunity for romance.

The ambiance is really nice without feeling too "stuffy". Bar was gorgeous and service was friendly and helpful, allowing my boyfriend to sample some wines before going in on some bottles. Prices were what you'd expect for a trendy natural wine bar. The complimentary corn nuts in the antique dish were a cute touch. The charcuterie board with mixed meat and cheese was really small though. Only three pieces of cheese for five people... it made it feel like an awkward fight over who'd get to try some. The gluten free crackers were appreciated though. We ended up ordering more food including the "party tray" which I would describe more as charcuterie nachos. We didn't really know what to expect with this one so we got the canned mussels but it really would've tasted better with the prosciutto instead. It included a whipped cheese, olives, and cornichons piled onto potato chips. Less of a tray and more of a nacho-style dish. If we return next time we're in town, I'd skip the food and focus more on the wine. Beyond that, it was a fun time!
