Turkey Breast Sandwich - $16.00, which is sliced thinly and piled high in- house turkey breast with lettuce and tomato - comes with one side of fries, chips, cole slaw, or potato salad. I love this sandwich. It's huge and the turkey is in-house and tastes so good. This is my favorite sandwich! Roast Beef sandwich - $16.00 - thinly sliced in-house roast beef with a nice red center with lettuce and tomato. I also enjoy it in a wrap. The roast beef is sliced so thinly it's delicious. I've been here in the past for breakfast and absolutely loved it so when my mom asked me if I wanted to meet here, I said sure. I got a roast beef wrap and a matzoh ball soup and unfortunately, they just didn't taste that great. I can't put my finger on it exactly, but the roast beef just wasn't great and the soup didn't have much flavor. I didn't take home any leftovers, and that's not like me. After relocating to the neighborhood recently, this diner is walking distance from me. I finally decided to give it a try. There is plenty of parking though as it's located in a large shopping center. We got seated at a table inside for breakfast. I got the eggs bene with house potatoes or something and my wife got a bacon omelet with hash browns. We also got the lemon blueberry pancakes to share. My bene was fine. Nothing special but solid. The potatoes were good but totally unexpected. No chewing involved cause they were so soft like they came out of a stew. Unfortunately, the omelet was terrible. It was super thin and likely because of that way overcooked. Just rubbery and gross. On the other hand, the pancakes were great and I didn't even need the syrup with it. A total mixed experience but I couldn't quite justify a higher rating when something as basic as an omelet is botched. We would come but avoid that part of the menu. Service was fine. The inside is comfortable with retro nods like a classic black and white interior, vintage clocks and photographs, a green stamp wall hanging, Coke memorabilia, and a take a book area near the front. There are benches and tables and chairs to dine at inside the dining room or you can eat outside. The Plantation Diner is known for their big portions and daily specials. The menu features a breakfast menu with eggs and omelets, mimosas and bloody Mary's, griddles and pancakes, oatmeal, avocado toast, quinoa bowls, and sandwiches and wraps. The lunch menu offers deli sandwiches and wraps, melts, club sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs, hot lunch platters, and salads. I decided on the roast beef melt for lunch. It came with a pickle and fries. The sandwich was so large that I had to take half home. I wish I had left room for dessert. On the day I visited they were offering a German Chocolate cake and brownie and berry crumb pies. Service was fast and welcoming and portions are large and a good value. Today was my first time visiting this diner. When I arrived, it was busy and there were two ladies seating people from the waitlist and one lady checking people out. I asked the ladies crossing off names if they could add me to the list and they told me I had to wait in the checkout line. I get to the front of the checkout line and the lady looks at me annoyed that there should be two lines. Super weird first impression. Our server was nice and efficient. I ordered the pastrami Rachel, it did not come with 1000 island (as it says on the menu) so I had to ask them to bring me a side. My friend ordered the biscuits and gravy, which he thoroughly enjoyed. When we were ready to check out and pay for our tab, he noticed there was an extra $11 charge on our bill. Thankfully, the cashier went over to our server and asked her what the confusion was. At this point, the two older ladies were questioning where the cashier went? The cashier returned, realized it was an overcharge, took it off our bill, and then proceeded to say under her breath that she hopes that she will be relieved soon because she has to use the facilities. If you want a quick bite to eat, the food is good. The restaurant looked clean and it has old vintage decor. This place was mediocre. The server was decent and somewhat attentive. The food was very average. I ordered the chicken salad and I thought the portion size was kind of small. For the price that you are paying, they can afford to give you a little more food. They do give you fries with the sandwich and that was nice. I'm not sure if I would come back here. It was busy and we had to wait approximately twenty minutes for a table. I'm just not sure why. You can get this type of food at a lot of other restaurants. Not a fan of greasy oily food. Western wrap. First photo shows after one bite all that oil came out. After finishing half of the wrap I couldn't do it anymore. This western wrap doesn't come with a side just what you saw on the plate. I tried taking a picture of the kids tenders it was just as oily and bad but I had to quickly switch plates and serve to the kiddos. At the end of the meal another waitress helped closed out our bill. Common mistake with technology and she charged me another tables order. Luckily that I caught on and was an easy fix. Such an old-time diner feel when you walk in...the hostess is too loud, the floor people are moving too fast and the chatter resonating from the patrons is over the top...I love it! The service was great, everyone was nice and everyone was steadily working to tend to everyone. Super clean, simple, an old-time diner setting that is welcoming...and the smells from the kitchen made me hungrier and hungrier with every passing second. I prefer the Hot Open Roast Beef, and am so glad I did. The beef was perfectly tender and cooked just right. The mashed potatoes were made in-house and you could tell it...haven't had such a wonder mash in way too long! I got a side of tomato, that's how my grandparents would have served the dish, and it's been many years since I had the chance to feel like I was back home with my family having a Sunday supper...it would have been just like this and that made me smile. Hubby requested to go here yesterday after having to fast prior to having a procedure done. Needless to say he had a hearty appetite. We haven't been here in SO long, and it was really nice to be back. This place has truly stood the test of time. They first opened their doors in 1989! Not too many businesses in the area can boast that. I am happy to report that they still have the same great service and attention to detail that I remember. Hubby and I left with full bellies and vowed to come back more often. The food was fresh, delicious, made to order and plentiful. Our waitress Gillian was as lovely as could be. She noticed the bandaid with gauze on my husband's hand right away and asked if he just got out of the hospital. I told her he did and that this was the meal he requested. She made sure to accommodate and was so attentive. His coffee was refilled at least three times while sitting without even asking. The place was full as can be, inside and out during a weekday at around 11:30am. You could tell many of their patrons were longtime regulars whom the staff knew and greeted by name. Don't judge a book by its cover - despite its unassuming appearance, Plantation Diner serves up some absolutely delicious food! I stopped in for Saturday brunch with family, and ordered the pumpkin pancakes from the specials menu. I'm not exaggerating when I say these are the best pumpkin pancakes I've ever had - I took one bite and was rendered speechless! They somehow managed to pack in tons of pumpkin flavor without making them too wet or mushy, and the spices were perfectly balanced. It was exactly the kind of fall vibes, almost dessert dish I'd hoped it would be and I was VERY impressed. Aside from these unbelievably good pancakes, my turkey sausage side was peppery and crispy, and the coffee was well-brewed with no bitter aftertaste. Despite there being a waitlist when we arrived, we were seated very quickly. This place has been around since the 80s and it's easy to see why - they run like a well-oiled machine, cranking out plate after plate of tasty food. The downfall is if you have to use the ladies room. It is and has been for a very long time filthy. The floors are gross, the toilets and walls have not seen a thorough scrubbing for ages. The wall near the sink in the large stall along with the garbage can is absolutely disgusting! With the money this diner brings in and has for many many years, I think it is time to clean, paint, maybe hang a few pictures on the wall and have some consideration for your loyal customers that have to use it. There is NO excuse for this. The filthy plungers are sitting on a filthy floor by a toilet base that has not seen cleaner and water in way too long. Shame on the owners. Delicious food with great service in this neighborhood plaza. We got sat immediately outside on a rainy otherwise inside there was a bit of a wait as this place is a staple with the locals. I ordered the gyro omelette with an Asiago bagel and my bf got their breakfast wrap. Everything was hot and fresh, my home fries were amazing and coffee my coffee stayed nice and hot with your own personal carafe for the table. All the workers are kind and helpful as the busser who took our plates got me a coffee to-go on our way out. You pay at the register & breakfast for two you're looking at a check still under $40. Parking close gets full pretty easy but it's a big plaza with lots of parking available just farther away. read more

This is a lovely diner that's located right on broward in Plantation. There's seating outside and also plenty of seating inside. When I went I was with a large party and they were able to accommodate us just fine. The servers were all very pleasant and happy to be there. You pay inside after your meal at the cash register. I ordered the breakfast wrap which comes with egg, your choice of cheese, and your choice of either sausage, bacon or ham. I chose sausage. My wrap was tasty and just what I expected. This is a local breakfast/lunch (brunch) spot that has been around for years and moved to the Publix Plaza quite a while ago. I haven't been here in a couple of years. And on a Saturday at noon there was about a 10-minute wait. The place is popular. There is indoor and outdoor seating. And though it was a cool day, I always prefer to eat indoors. But an outside table was perfect for one patron and his four-legged pal. I had my usual Challah French toast with strawberries and whipped cream (hold the syrup) and my pal had a country omelette. We tasted each other's meals and gave them both a thumbs up. The only negative for me was that a side of bacon (3 strips) would have added $6.50 to my $11 French toast order. Say what? They now also have mimosa and beers available. This place is a plantation staple! They are breakfast and lunch only and have a good variety of foods and baked goods. It's a small restaurant on the corner of the publix plaza great to grab breakfast before getting your shopping on. It's usually packed on weekends, but the turnaround is pretty fast. I found this place on Uber Eats and now I'm hooked! The crazy thing is I've seen this place a few times, but never really paid attention to it. Now I wish I was more attentive, LOL. I have to mention that my first time ordering from here was not a good experience as I was missing an item. Even though I experienced an issue, this did not deter me from placing another order. I ordered the Biscuit Sandwich with just egg and cheese. The biscuit was buttery and so tasty! A whole mouth full of deliciousness is what it was.
