So far I am pleased with this office. Seen on time and staff were pleasant. Doctor was receptive and did a good check up.

The front office staff was very nice to me at this location however Dr. Ponda made me feel very uncomfortable he kept eyeing my clothes my bag my jewelry I felt like I was being sized up more like a date than a visit to the doctor. I switched to another location because I didn't think I could continue with a doctor that made me feel so uncomfortable. read more

To begin with, this review is NOT about the Doctor. Dr. DeMaio is an excellent doctor. This doctor probably saved my life by finding cancerous nodules on my thyroid. However.... the front desk personnel were, in my case, severely lacking. I had a 3:30 appointment, I arrived at 3:19. Others came after me and came and went. After more than an hour of waiting, at 4:25, I asked "any idea of how much longer I have to wait?" When she asked me my name and looked it up, she said "oh, as soon as a patient comes out, you're next." But the surprised look on her face told me that I was just plain old forgotten about. Then, another 1/2 hour in the exam room before the dr. came in. Again, nothing negative about the dr. Just the front desk staff. read more

I use this ENT group and have seen Dr.Munzer in the New Windsor office several times. The office staff has been friendly and efficient. There was minimal wait time in the waiting room and examination room . Dr. Munzer was able to spend time with me and answered my questions. I also recently took my mother to the office to be fitted with hearing aids. She was pleased with the care she received- the audiological evaluation with the audiologist and examination, by Dr. Munzer. We haven't picked up the hearing aids yet- it will be a 2 week wait to order them. I am pleased with the price for the hearing aids and recommend seeing an audiologist for hearing aids rather than a retail hearing aid dispenser. read more

Horrible wait time and rude condescending doctors. bad experience.

I have no problem with the ENT doctor here in New Windsor though everything went more smoothly before he was in this group. He has always been attentive and solution minded. But the office staff is an entirely different and unsatisfactory matter.. as a result of their ineptitude and lack of integrity, my husband's med was not only discontinued bc of a miscommunication, but when they were promised to be resumed and called into pharmacy, it didn't happen and I had to make numerous calls and speak with answering service personnel and pharmacy all day long and bother the doctor several times on the weekend. I was made to feel like an annoyance when it is my husband's health I am concerned about. And this is all after I HAD to figure out how they could have made such an error..because they did! Though nobody will admit and I will not waste the doctor's time arguing over a matter of a bad game of telephone! Being told he did not need to keep his future appt because they could not help him, and weaned off the medication that was actually helping him because of their mangled miscommunications.. it all happened while we were not even able to speak with him ourselves.. the help made all the "arrangements" and relayed messages incorrectly. And then they try to tell ME that we were the ones that said it was not working and that was entirely untrue, likely invented by someone to cover their own butt. Also, just because the doctor is at a different location on a certain day should not mean we cannot reach him for a simple prescription refill request or reassurance when we suspect something is going awry like it was! What a major clusterf**k it has become. This is especially terrible because a persons' wellbeing is hanging in the balance, and the lazy or incapable office personnel should take care to do their job (simple enough stuff!!) correctly so I wouldn't have had to even deal with the archaic answering service! I believe that an hour is more than sufficient for the office to receive instructions from the doctor to send a prescription to the local pharmacy, and then to accomplish clicking those couple of buttons on their computer before leaving for the rest of the weekend without a care that someone does not have what they need, and are waiting for! We are seriously finding it difficult to stomach staying with this practice and wish we could just see this doctor the way we used to before this corporate mess of a practice became all there is anymore. I feel badly for the doctors whose professions and reputations are dependent upon their support staff that just can't get their stuff done! There always appear to be plenty of them at the desk, I cannot fathom, having been a competent employee all my life, how people like this can collect a paycheck and keep their job. I would give 0 stars if I didn't feel so badly for the doctor who we have confidence in, and is more than satisfactory! read more

I live in Poughkeepsie, but traveled to New Windsor to see this Doctor [DiMaio]. He is really fantastic. His bedside manner is very good, and he explains what he is doing. The medical assistant is very kind and knowledgeable. The office is extremely clean and they are doing a fantastic job maintaining COVID 19 safe protocol. I was late for my appointment and the doctor still saw me, and took time with me. He is very thorough. I definitely recommend this office. I've been to this place for a clogged ear feeling that I believe was from a severe cold I had. I'm shocked at all the bad reviews because the several visits I made in diagnosing my hearing issue and doing hearing tests was always pleasant. The nurses, check-in process and even the doctors was all a good experience. Would I be back? Yup, I've had to visit about 4 times in the past year and have never had a bad experience. read more

I went in due to ringing in my ears. They sent me to a room to have a hearing test done prior to seeing the doctor and I thought nothing of it. I was with this person for maybe 10 minutes? Then I went back out to the waiting room and was called in later to see the doctor. I had my exam with him which was basic at best. I paid my co-pay and left. Later on and get a bill in the mail for another $35 co-pay. I printed out my receipt and sent it back show and I already paid and then I get a phone call stating that I still owe another $35 because of the hearing test. One co-pay for a hearing test and one co-pay for a doctor done both at the same office? Please ask questions before you go they are obviously trying to bill as much as they can to the insurance carrier and don't care about the co-pays to the patients read more

For several months I had been having problems with fluid in my ear and hearing loss. My primary prescribed antibiotics, then weeks later steroids, then weeks later more steroids. Nothing helped and I could not hear through the ear. Dr. Munzer was recommended by a friend who was a nurse. By now, I was convinced it was a serious permanent problem. He reassured me that this was NOT a serious problem. He put me on antibiotics for an unresolved sinus infection and the follow up hearing test showed I had perfect hearing. My wife just had thyroid surgery performed by Sergey Koyfman. The first time I met him was about a year ago, and I immediately had a strong sense of trust in his skill set. He was confident, without being pompous, and answered our questions, and addressed our concerns... patiently and thoroughly. He accomplished complex surgery with a minimal incision, and she already has a near normal range of motion... in just one week. I very highly recommend Dr. Koyfman, very down to earth surgeon. My Wife was told to see an allergist, and when I called to inquire as to pricing, front desk girl insisted on my Date of Birth, and last name, even when I told her 3 times that all I wanted was information. She hung up... Seems I was the first call of the day, at 9:15. Called back and spoke to Theresa, who didn't know pricing of their services. After a long wait, she returns to the line in a hurry, shouts out some numbers and hangs up. Truly Amazing. One has to wonder what kind of environment exists there to produce such angst to CUSTOMERS for the first phone call . . . The Medical services provided here may well be good, however, we will never know, since our search continues for professionalism in the Medical Profession. UPDATE: 30 August 2016 Jennifer G responded, with a "canned response", and when I called up the New Windsor Office to inquire as to her phone number, they didn't know who she was. When I mentioned I posted a review on YELP, SUDDENLY, the tone of the conversation changed, and surely, I had her full attention. So, I was given a number to the Yorktown office, where "she probably is". Called Yorktown office, and nobody had heard of her at that office either, but were certainly willing to take a message. Subsequent emails from Jennifer G. have stopped, when I asked what value I could provide, by repeating this yelp review. Demaio was unhelpful and the office staff members were rude as well. When other patients were coughing their heads off in the waiting room, I was met with the response by the receptionist, "this IS an ENT office." Yes, this is true, but I did NOT make an appointment with these people to make myself sicker! Demaio correctly diagnosed me with a deviated septum, but that DID NOT explain why I was having the symptoms I was experiencing. His answer to virtually every question was "I don't know" and he said he could order a CT scan 'if it made me feel better.' However, he was not convinced that this would help me figure anything out and he was late for the appointment. (In fact, when I posted a similar review on vitals, the office staff members removed it. When I posted a new 'toned down' version of the original review which still got the point across, I was met with a reply which appeared to be automated). read more

This doctors office has a service that answers the calls and sets up appointments. What a waste of time. Twice they messed up my appointments. First time, took time off from work and no appointmnet. Showed up and the reception was not pleasant. Second time took time off and the day of my appoint they call and cancel bc the appointment was wrong. What a waste of my time read more

Dr. Richard DeMaio is an excellent, caring and knowledgeable doctor who makes you feel at ease before he begins treatment and feel better once he has treated you. I wish he could be my family doctor so I could see him more often. He's the best. read more

I went to ENTwith a ringing in my ears, after a hearing test (great service) I was met by Dr. Driver. He looked in both ears and my mouth (told me he thought I was a snorer, I am not), asked me a question about the noise I was hearing. He then told me he could not help in any way, not to try any of the internet solutions and if my hearing got worse to make another appointment. I think I could have gotten the same results from Sam's Club hearing test and WebMD diagnoses. It would have been nice to at least heard from the "expert" of any resources he might have had on Tinnitus for me to read and help understand the condition. Felt worse about my condition after the appointment than before I went. read more

The care was "eh". I could pretty much just keep treating my son's allergies the way I always have on my own. The office pretty much just wants to do the maximum to get money from your insurance company or in our case from our pockets. Sad when the dr really is in it just for the $$$. i have been going to your office for years! in the recent months it has been, not so good at the front desk office. when i went in this week, it was great to see lisa at the front desk again! she is an awesome person, she greeted me with a smile and was able to help me, with out any hesitation! in the past few months it has been difficult to get the person at the desk to help you, and at one point they were asking people to sit down, and they would be with them soon. when you have to get to work, and usually youre waited on a.s.a.p. after your appointment, i was late to work over the summer because of this. and the person was a little snooty! i just wanted to say that we are so happy to see lisa back!!!! she can handle that front desk with no problem, and put smiles on peoples faces!!!!! read more
