That's the long story short. He ordered the surgery within 30 days of his initial evaluation, and surgery occured Dec10 at Swift Surgery Ctr. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The nurses and staff at Swift were amazing also. Pre-surgery fear was alleviated by the supporting nurses, pre and post care staff.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After reading other reviews, we don't get it because the experience with Dr Lough was amazing, professional, and incredibly efficient at helping with improving his quality of life, sleep, concentration, energy, and breathing. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share our experience with Dr. Lough. I brought my 12-year-old daughter to this office for an evaluation of chronic snoring that has persisted for several years. She was extremely nervous about the appointment and was visibly shaking when Dr. Lough entered the room. Dr. Lough noted that my daughter has large tonsils and suggested that she may simply need to "grow into them." And because of these qualities and the great consideration he gave during my surgery (reconstruction after a mohs surgery which incompassed my nostril) , he was able to do a MUCH less invasive and disfiguring of a surgery. Dr. Jeremy Lough disregarded my charted allergies to the post-op pain med he prescribed and said no to me and my husband's verbal request for an alternative for pain management. As a result, I suffered from an exzema flare which left me with open sores, bleeding, and oozing for 2 weeks. The Cancer & Dermatology Institute on Moana gave me an emergency steroid injection as an intervention. This could have been prevented had Dr. Lough reviewed my allergies in my medical history as well as what my husband and I told him as I was in the pre-surgery area on a gurney. read more

I'd like to express my dissatisfaction with the care--or lack thereof--I received from Dr. Hauser's office. I currently have ear tubes in both ears. Over the weekend, while I was asleep, my eardrum ruptured. I couldn't even begin to explain how an occurrence such as this happened seeing as how there are tubes to help relieve pressure. Clearly there is something wrong! I went to the emergency room and also saw my primary care physician. Both advised me to contact my ENT immediately for urgent follow-up care. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called Dr. Hauser's office twice requesting to be seen as soon as possible due to the severity of my condition. Despite explaining the situation and the medical advice I was given, I was told there was no need to see me urgently and that my appointment would remain scheduled for a month from now.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Given the nature of my condition and the clear recommendation from both the ER and my primary doctor, I find this response unacceptable and deeply concerning. I came here due to referral from my doctor. When I called to request an appointment there was an at least six week wait so I took the first available appointment which was about eight weeks out from my original doctor's appointment. I received an email and text reminder about my appointment and was urged to fill out the questionnaire online. However, upon attempting to do this, I learned that a patient must have a login but there was no way to register online. I arrived 15 minutes early before my appointment time and was able to fill out the required paperwork/questionnaire in person. The receptionist was pleasant and seemed friendly. I waited for about 10 minutes until I was called in and waited another a few minutes for the doctor to arrive once I settled in the examination room. My doctor was Dr. Andrew Tomlinson and he was super nice. He explained what my symptoms were and gave recommendations going forward. Luckily for me, I did not have anything serious or too pressing. The checkout counter clerk was also pleasant and she was happy to provide assistance to a couple of my requests. read more

Dr Garrett saved me from having to get a tracheostomy in order to breathe. She caught the issue (my throat was 80% closed and getting narrower) and scheduled surgery for the next possible day. I woke up from surgery and could breathe. I had no idea how much I was struggling until I woke up and could take a full (and silent!) breath. I've never been to an ENT Specialist this many times in the last week and a half... Luckily it hasn't been for me! Honestly, I've never had a bloody nose either.. Today the hubby had a bloody nose that started at 4 am! It finally ended two and half hours later.. I called and got him in for a 12:30 with Dr. Thomlinson.. That would be the third specialist he's seen there out of the four.. He was amazing! Very cool, caring bedside manners.. He suggested Aquaphor for the dry nasal area and did the exam. Worst doctor visit I have had in my life when it comes to not caring about a patient. They say some doctors do not have bed side manor well this doctor just does not care at all about his patients. With Renown I have had amazing doctors this is the first doctor I have had that just should not be practicing or should be working in a lab because he does not care about people. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Jeremy Lough for several years for a variety of issues. He has always been professional, thorough and fully explains my conditions and options. The office is able to do CT scans right there and I was given immediate results. Another time I had fluid inside my ear and they were able to do tests in the office and solve the problem in the same office visit. My appointment today was at 1:30 and I was seen right away. In fact, since it was a follow-up appointment I was in and out in 15 minutes! I have total confidence in Dr. Lough and he is one of my favorite doctors. Cannot recommend this practice enough. I've come to Dr. Lough for years to have my ears treated when they get plugged (which is sometimes often due to excess buildup), and have also had a hearing test done here. A year or so back, I mentioned the breathing issues I've had with my nose for my entire life, and was told my options to try (such as a steroid spray) before looking into surgery for my quite deviated septum. That's the path I ended up going down, as it was affecting my quality of life substantially-- especially eating, sleeping, and exercising. A couple weeks ago, I finally had the long-awaited surgery. Dr. Lough and his medical assistant are great-- both very caring to answer any questions or concerns. They worked with me to get the date I needed for surgery, and even when there was an unforeseen issue not on my part that day that delayed it, they dealt with it fast and I had my surgery two days later. I was prepared for the rough recovery, called a few times with questions, and my two follow-up appointments for the splint and cast removals went well. I am so incredibly thrilled to be able to breathe properly and fully for the first time ever, and for the cosmetic work Dr. Lough was able to accomplish to repair damage from a car accident and adjust the bridge of the nose. A class act. Can't wait to see it heal more. The establishment itself is clean, cozy, scheduling is easy, and the folks are friendly. There are often some wait times, but they are truly trying to see and help as many people as they can and the wait never feels excessive. Just something to prepare for. They recently upgraded their online system and the appointment reminders via email and text message are great. Thank you Dr. Lough! I know I'll continue coming here for years to come. read more

Amaya, his assistant is not a professional one.. filing up a form with a proper answer needs to be evaluated or Atleast review with knowledge before you forward it to someone else.. been dealing with this form for almost 2 months back and forth with them but then she will give you an answer like it's your fault that you don't know how to count.. for me, I will make sure that if I'll be a medical assistant, everything will be correct and reviewed properly.. before sending it out.. this is not free.. it's frustrating read more

Had a referral for my daughter, they were able to get her in with in a week of getting her referral (even with an 8 week out time for appointments, though her visit was emergent so I'm sure that had something to do with it) Dr.Garret was very professional and reassuring and helped us make the appt as easy as possible with a newborn ( not an easy task). When it came time for our surgery date there was a slight mix up on when it was, however The office was able to make it right and get her surgery scheduled for the next few days. As a new parent the entire staff was understanding with my concerns, answered all my questions and made my child and her care a priority. Dr lough is arrogant and cocky. He thinks he knows it all. What he said wasn't possible with regards to my daughter was possible and diagnosed at Stanford children's hospital. And not only that but it's a medical review article, was so rare that only 9 other children had it also. I called this office everyday for almost 3 months asking and begging someone to send the referral to Stanford . They are so incompetent they couldn't get it done, even with clear instructions that I had to give them that I got from Stanford . I had to literally give phone numbers to them that they apparently couldn't figure out how to get. I think even a monkey could have got this done at some point. With in a week of letting the pediatrician know of the situation we finally got it send in and with in 3 days a call from Stanford and urgent appointments started to get scheduled . This office delayed urgent treatment for a 1 year old child in 2022. Now that my daughter is finally healthy in 2024 I can finally speak about this traumatizing experience. Located on the corner of Ryland and Locust, Reno ENT Specialists was able to get my father in the next day when we called to schedule an appointment. My father has been wheezing and having some moderate shortness of breath. He also felt as if there was some physical obstruction in his throat, like a cyst or tumor, preventing proper airflow and general discomfort. Not sure if it was related to allergies, asthma or COPD or something more serious, as our internet searches when typing in his symptoms might indicate, we decided seeing an ENT doctor was necessary. We arrived about 20 minutes early because we knew he'd have to fill out new patient paperwork. As we filled it out we were told that Dr. Lough (pronounced Law) was running about 30 minutes behind. Par for the course for a doctors visit, I wasn't surprised. Sitting and watching the patients go in and out, we waited patiently for an hour and 15 minutes after our 3:45 appointment. Finally, we are called into the back and we sit some more in the room, 35 minutes more. My poor dad is wheezing and pacing like a caged animal. The medical assistant comes in, takes some general notes, then we wait some more. Then Dr. Lough arrives, a thousand apologies, and all is well. He explains he had been in surgery earlier and it took longer than expected, you can't fault him for doing his job. He asked a series of questions to my father such as when did his symptoms start, what makes them better, what makes them worse, how long have they been going on, etc. My father always being the one to downplay an illness, does not offer much information so thankfully I was there to butt in and give the necessary symptoms to the doctor so that he may help my father more efficiently. The doctor decided to perform an exploratory procedure there in office where he inserted a tiny tube and microscope into my father's nose to look down his throat. He looked around at his trachea, esophagus and vocal box noting that everything looked healthy and normal. Dr. Lough's diagnosis was that my father possibly had allergies that were exacerbating either asthma, COPD, sleep disturbances such as snoring/sleep apnea, or perhaps he even had something like very mild acid reflex. He recommended that if the inhaler and Flonase spray he was going to prescribe my father did not help significantly in the next six weeks, that my father go see a pulmonary doctor for asthma, COPD, or sleep apnea disorder. All in all, I was very pleased with the doctor's professionalism and due diligence with asking my father many questions and with the examination. Other than the extremely long wait, I thought this was a positive experience. Fingers crossed his prescriptions and diagnosis are correct. read more

Horrible customer service. Over the last few years everything went downhill for this office. Their professionalism is questionable. Reception is not very nice, sometimes wait times are terrible long for no reason, this last thing with insurance. They stopped their contract with Aetna at some point. When you book an appointment or reschedule you would think that person is smart enough to verify this info. Reception/ schedule staff does this all day long it's part of their job to make sure all info is up to date. Wasted a trip to Dr. today due to our insurance is not accepted at this office anymore. Also their billing department is bad bad bad. No confirmation of payment, terrible communication, if promised to leave notes on the account then do so. Don't want to add anymore of bad info here. the doctor i saw was very short and abrasive. i brought my allergy panel test results and he wasn't interested in seeing them. i explained my recurring sinus infections, severe ear/jaw pain, and the reasons my (several) other doctors referred me to this office and was met with doubt and second-guessing. i shared about these problems being very painful and effecting my quality of life and ability to work. i shared about the lethargy, throbbing, problems sleeping etc and he responded with "well any sinus problems? like with your actual sinuses instead of everything else?" - i just looked at him and asked what he meant by that. he said he didn't do anything with jaw work and looked in my ears to tell me nothing was wrong. a little disheartening considering i've been experiencing these problems for years now and the appointment (first consultation & hearing test) was $375 - expected to be paid immediately. not sure what kind of person has $400 laying around to give to someone that won't even hear them out. also, when sharing i didn't have the full payment right this second i was asked three times "when are you going to pay it? i need to let them know a date," instead of discussing a payment plan or billing or anything. i didn't make a follow-up appointment. just be aware of these, especially if you're a new patient. read more

I'm 77, with advanced CLL (leukemia), so my immune system is VERY POOR. Yesterday, during a visit to my cardiologist, he saw my swollen ear, & told me to GET TO AN ENT (or the ER) RIGHT AWAY! Since I had been to see Dr. Lough ("Law") last year, I went to his office. The receptionists were VERY nice, and said they would "work me in" as quickly as possible. In less than an hour, I was called in to see Dr. Lough, who quickly diagnosed my ear as "seriously infected". He suctioned it out, inserted a "wick" because it was so swollen, and put in some antibiotic ear drops. He then ordered a similar ear Rx from my local pharmacy, cleaned the wax out of my other ear, proclaimed it as "not infected", and assurmy ear would be ok in a few days. That was only yesterday, and my ear already feels MUCH better! Thank you (staff) so much for getting me in, and to Dr. Lough for diagnosing me, and getting me on the path to recovery. He was professional, thorough, understanding, and best of all - RIGHT! FWIW, I had a sore ear problem last year, that persisted for several weeks. It was not an infection, but water in the inner ear that simply would not go away. When I finally saw Dr. Lough (rather late in the process - "my bad"), he recommended a myringotomy for both ears. I was somewhat skeptical, as it's done mainly for CHILDREN, but I went ahead and had them done. Once again (actually, it was the first time, for me), Dr.Lough was "RIGHT-ON". It took a few more weeks (remember, my natural immunity is almost gone), but the ears dried up, and have been fine all year. I typically get an ear problem about once a year, and I will DEFINITELY go to see Dr. Lough as soon as any ear problem arises. I HIGHLY recommend him! read more

I was a long-standing and satisfied patient of Dr. West's before his retirement. I saw another doctor in the practice and was satisfied with my exam. However, I was surprised to get a bill of $250 for a simple office visit. This was up from the normal $80 with Dr. West. The office gave me the excuse that prior doctors did not charge for all services and that they don't have to give prior notification of costs for a visit. I would consider getting a cost estimate before being seen by this office to avoid sticker shock. read more

If possible I would give zero stars! Terrible receptionist we had an appointment at 1530 hours and showed up half an hour early at 1500 hours to complete paperwork. We sat in the waiting room for 1 hr and 15 mins after our scheduled appointment. It got so close to closing we were worried they were going to close before we got seen for our Appointment! They eventually pulled us back and we sat in the exam room for 25 mins before being seen! The doctor had terrible bedside matter rude and did nothing to fix the problem. Dr. Lough did surgery on my sinuses on April third of this year. It has been six weeks since the surgery and I am so pleased with the results. For several years sinus infections were frequent because my sinuses had very narrow openings and other obstructive problems. Dr. Lough hit a 'home run" with this surgery and the follow-up visits were thorough yet gentle. Thank you Dr. Lough. Dr Lough did a sinus surgery on me seven months ago. I never fully healed from it and he did not do all of my sinuses. I still had a raging infection and developed an abscess from not healing. A different ent had to do another surgery. This new ent is culturing the infection so that he can treat it properly. Dr Lough reads aloud his patients' notes in the hallway of his practice fornall to hear, which breaks hippa laws. His staff is dismissive. They could not be bothered to get me an appointment, they told me it's probably nothing important. But yet they call and harass me when I owed them a whopping $8. read more

Worth all 5 stars. In April I started having this "foggy head" feeling. Like a head cold but no cold symptoms. After my primary did an xray there was build up in my maxillary sinus. Insert ears nose and throat specialist. After a ct scan there was more infections in more sinuses, round of antibiotics and still same feelings. Dr. West said we will figure this out! A few other scans and one more round of antibiotics and the issue was my sphenoid sinus. Dr. West the transferred my case to Dr. Houser as the resident sphenoid expert. He was nothing but great and helpful the whole way before transferring me a d wouldn't give up. Dr. Houser had to do sinus surgery and I have nothing but great things to say about her too. Very informative, caring, helpful. I'm on on post OP day 4 and already feeling better. Never had to wait more then 5 min in the waiting area and kept me updated the whole way on insurance. Dr. Lough is very personable but he tells you the truth,the pros and cons,what you can expect, the risks, and the probability of a successful treatment. He operated to remove the tonsillar cancer mass in my throat successfully. That and both radiation and chemotherapy and I am now cancer free. I experienced muscular damage due to radiation therapy and he performed a second surgery which restored my ability to swallow. I had little pain and no side effects from either surgery. Admittedly, this is uncommon, even he has said that, but I believe that it is a testimony to his skill. I will soon have another surgery to remove a polyp blocking my right side nasal passage. Luckily for me, Dr.Lough will be the surgeon. My high opinion of Dr. Lough is shared with all of the others I have spoken to at Renown in the course of my cancer treatments. I see him as being humble, honest, caring, competent and confident. read more
