I explained to him that he had not informed me of this policy, which is also not in the rental contract that had been sent to me, therefore, since it was not in writing, it was illegal to keep, the money of a service that they had not provided; they have the legal obligation to inform in writing in the moment of the rental of this absurd policy. I also told him that I did not accept that they would give me credit for a next time since this had been a necessity for only once. They have not given me an answer, they have not refunded the money to my account, I also fear that this company that literally steal from customers put at risk the information that I gave them from my credit card. I await the immediate solution of this inexcusable and arbitrary situation at the earliest.

Quick and easy pickup other than asking for my insurance coverage binder to ensure I had full coverage. I didn't have a problem with it, I didn't want to have to scramble for it when I got there. I would've liked to know that ahead of time. Lots of extra options and add-ons are available. I usually don't, but I added the insurance this time because there were snow storms that weekend. Would rather be safe than sorry. Otherwise, I would've got the rental for eight days for around $1100. It was clean and worked great. Lots of room and trunk space. We went with nine people and fit everyone and all of the luggage comfortably. They were closed when I was returning, so I used the key drop off outside. I got my final bill the next day after the truck was checked. No extra charges were added, which was a good thing. Would definitely rent from here again.

I told him I'd be on my way out of the country and needed one way so I rented a car for one way with same day drop off at Logan Airport. He said the rate I was quoted was low. That's what I was quoted. Why not then negotiate? There was obviously a problem. BUT, I just said the car wasn't coming back here or today, I needed one way, drop off at Logan on the same day. He printed the paperwork and handed me my keys. The car with full tank was returned that day to Logan--October 14th. On the 18th, I was charged $758.77 for a weekly rental with a failure to return it to the same place. A four hour rental. He knew I thought I was renting one way, same day rental return to Logan. Why not renegotiate my contract before sending me? I have a public presence and will share this as often as I am able. I'll do whatever else I can. There is NO reason to EVER rent a car from this Hertz. The could have made a good amount of money with an ethical rental. I should have read everything. I know that. Do you? Not this year. They failed miserably to get the car I wanted on special promotion in the auto manufactures website. There were over 40 cars within a 50 mile radius and they wanted me to pay more for a car from 'their dealer' they didn't have in stock. They wasted my time and the promotion ended while they took a holiday. They didn't value my business or my loyalty. Whatever they are now up to, who they are loyal to, wasn't this customer.

I had an accident on August 4, 2025. The police had my car towed to this shop, and it has been a nightmare ever since. Allstate Insurance told me they were not allowed to inspect my car at the shop. After a month, Allstate decided to total my car and tried to tow it out, but Modzelewski's refused to release it. Instead, they charged an outrageous $10,000 just for keeping my car for one month -- $170 per day storage fee plus other "service" fees.That's much higher than all parking lot in the CT,even in the New York.Unbeliveable! Because of this shop, Allstate could not process my claim or compensate me for my car. Now I am being asked to cover this unbelievable bill, even though the accident was 100% the other driver's fault. Nobody warned me about such extreme storage costs.
