I can't understand the low ratings for this location, unless it was a completely different group of employees. I experienced top rated professional service from beginning to end. They kept me informed when my insurance adjuster did not. Also, the rental they gave me was a newer model Chevy Trailblazer that was clean and ran perfectly. (Only complaint was that the previous renter apparently bathed in perfume, so the interior was stout the entire month I had it - not Enterprise's fault). Though the gentleman working at the office are customer service oriented, they are beholden to "corporate", which I must say has much to learn about customer service even on a basic level. Why do I say this? How about we start with providing correct information regarding availability of vehicles online? In this age of AI, is it really that difficult to configure your system so that your inventory is current, making it possible for customers to know in real time availability. Doing this allows the customer to can plan accordingly. (Not two days before pick-up at which time they are taking a "chance" that the vehicle reserved may not be available when they go to pick up, thus causing an additional stress to the customer) How about the fact that yes, because they are not open on Sunday, there is a built in extra day's rental even if you drop off Sunday.(?) I don't know, maybe it's me, but there are so many things that seem wrong about this. It would be helpful for "Corporate" to take note, but then again why should they? There is the law of supply and demand, and I am but one of many on the end of demand. I would ask at the very least be truthful in what the availability is, so that at the very least, I can make an informed decision in the moment . read more

My experience with this location and its staff was very good. My insurance company made the reservation for me earlier in the morning. I was able to get my preferred vehicle type and drive away all before 10am. read more

Customer service here is very hot or miss. Have rented a car here at least 6-7 times and sometimes you get a wonderful agent who assists you and sometimes you get someone who sighs and acts like it's the biggest inconvenience to do their job. Sometimes they say, we offer that, but we don't actually do it, referring to services offered by Enterprise. It's fine until it's awful. read more

NOT FUNNY!!! This place sux, 0 Customer Service, 0 accountability,0 cars!!! NO KIDDING! We did an online reservation, received confirmation at 11ish on Thursday. At 8pm on Thursday night, we received a call from the office advising me, they have NO cars, 60 reservation's and your screwed! But, we're so very sorry! Called C.S. the same story! The only reason I use Enterprise, is because "They pick you up",! Not in this case, they don't have cars! This place is not closed. They're still in business for now but I don't expect that to last much longer. I called Thursday to set up a reservation. I called again Friday to let them know I was running late, they said it was fine. Then as I was approaching the place an hour later I got a call saying that they were out of vehicles and I needed another reservation so as I was already annoyed by the inconvenience, I called and set up another reservation and was informed that they had several vehicles on the lot. I called the office back and told the lady that I was informed she had several vehicles on the lot and she began stuttering and then put me on a five minute hold that ended up being disconnected from her end. At this point, I called back and she is still stuttering so I ask for the manager and he tells me that their systems are not kept up to date AND that the corporate office has no way of knowing what they have available. Those two excuses contradict each other. Anyways, he says that he will contact me when something becomes available. One hour later, he calls. I excitedly pick up the phone and he tells me that he saw my reservation and wanted to inform me that they had no vehicles. So despite that we had just gone over that an hour before, I reminded him and he apologized and then he once again promised to call once they had a vehicle available. So I said thanks and we hung up. An hour later he calls back. I'm excited thinking I'm finally getting a car but nope, he just wanted to remind me again. Now I'm pissed. I yell at him to get his shit together, he apologizes again and says, "I give you my word, I won't call back unless we have a vehicle for you." So I hang up and wait. Another hour goes by, it's about 3 pm, and he calls. I pick and once again he reminds that they have no vehicles. I realize this guy is messing with me and treating this like a joke so I cuss him out and hang up only to consider going down there to kick his ass but decided not to because my girl had on this really hot outfit that I didn't want to miss out on. But anyways, this business is shit. The management treats it like a joke. This is actually the second time I've experienced a problem with them and I'm done with this location until they get a real manager in there. read more

This place is one of the worst Enterprise Car Rental establishments that I have contacted in my 15+ years of using Enterprise. The customer service was the worst, no vehicles, was not allowing me to speak to a manager, and wouldn't assist me on getting a reservation from the closest airport. What a joke. My wife rented from the Anniston location and needed to be picked up from Alexandria and the driver (shorter guy with a beard) could not drive. She said he drove at excessive speed down 431 and had a negative attitude when she asked questions about her rental. Other than the driver experience the workers inside helped her out and she was on the road in no time. I gave a two star only because my wife felt unsafe in the vehicle with the driver. read more

What a disaster. This place was just awful. I rented a car in Rhode Island and when I arrived in Anniston, I noticed the registration had expired so I called the 800 number and they told me "no problem, they have plenty of cars and there is an enterprise location a mile from where I was". I called there at 745 in the morning and explained my situation to a very uninterested and rude asst manager. She insisted they had no cars and told me to call somewhere else. (she recommended the airport, an hour away). I told her that want satisfactory and while I tried to get her name to escalate the situation she abruptly hung up on me. I called back and met Chase. This guy should not be allowed anywhere near a customer. His idea of fixing the situation was to tell me that the car must be registered so I should just tell the cop that it's registered. I explained that I wasn't driving an unregistered car in the deepnsouth and was stranded in Alabama because of enterprise. He then said that I wasn't stranded because "after all, the car got you from Rhode Island to Alabama so you're not stranded". I had enough of him at this point too and asked for the dost. Manager (another useless slug of a human being) and was told that he could not give me his number. I asked for his office number and was told he wouldn't give me that either. At that point I lost my temper and insulted him and the south (sorry South I was angry) and called him an unflattering name and reminded him that he wasn't helping me anyway. I called a Birmingham office and was immediately given the regional office number. I called and explained my situation to the executive assistant who assured me it would be taken care of. That was at about 830am.... I am yet to hear back from the divisional manager and have left 3 more messages that have gone unresoonded to.... It's now 130... I finally spoke to the people at the office I got the car and they also expressed extreme frustration with chase and his asst manager. They also called the district manager who LIED to the manager of the RI store and told him he talked to me. He most certainly did not. I then called Anniston again and they hadn't heard a peep out of the DM but they offered me a Nissan versa to replace the suv I was driving. Again, this was chase and again he was insisting that they had no cars (remember, the 800 number and RI told me they had plenty of cars).... Long story short, I ended up with a jeep Cherokee and hsbe not heard a word out of the district manager read more

This is the worst Enterprise location I've ever encountered anywhere in the world. We reserved a vehicle online as our vehicle broke down passing through Anniston, AL. We attempted to call for pickup starting at 3pm on Sunday afternoon. They never answered. A good samaritan gave my wife a ride there, all the while on hold waiting for them to answer. Upon walking in a few minutes before closing (45 minutes on hold), the phone was still ringing, presumably her call, but the manager told her that they had been swamped all day and "apologized". My wife was able to get an upgraded vehicle for a lesser price (upon her request) with the managers assistance, but it was a truck that got us a whopping 11 mpg during our rental period. Upon arriving to return the vehicle, the truck was being rented to another customer before we even had confirmation of its return. Either Enterprise needs another location or this location needs an overhaul. Either way, I hope I never break down near this town again. read more

Arrived on the day before Thanksgiving to pick of a full sized car that I would drop off in Pennsylvania. A full sized car as I had requested was not available. Instead I was given a Jeep Pilot, which I was not happy about. The clerk apologized for not having what I ordered in a full sized car but assured me the Jeep Pilot was an upgrade at no extra charge. He even threw in that I could drop off the car with an empty gas tank. All sounded good until I saw the fuel tank was nearly empty and the vehicle had Pennsylvania tags. I had to wonder just how much smoke was being blown by the clerk in his attempt to get that Jeep back north. Other than my suspicion on the the clerk's motives, I had no problems with Enterprise. read more
