3 phone calls to make sure I could pick up my rental car, and that their wouldn't be any issues. 3 times I was assured by enterprise that I would have an economy car, and in the morning I was promised a Toyota, get there for the appointment they only had upgraded cars that my insurance wasn't gonna cover. Needless to say I was annoyed and had to spend the time trying to reach my insurance agent, but the girl behind the counter came out and did some dancing to get me into a car today. I was charged for an upgrade that I should not have been charged for. I was told that the upgrade from a smaller car to a car comparable to mine was approved from the insurance of the other driver in the accident. I asked. The agent said it was approved. They have the recording of this conversation. When I asked for a refund, they said that the order was completed and closed and there is nothing they can do. Then he sent me to the Anderson Mill location and Nicole (or Payton - I'm confused on which one I was speaking with was rude and didn't transfer my reservation over. They answer no calls unless you're a new reservation... at which point you're transferred to customer service who doesn't know their policies and can't provide any assistance. You're hung up on with every other prompt. I got a car with expired tags and now have to wait for this branch to call me about this. This is all due to an accident I'm not at fault for. Abby, the manager, is very unprofessional. She withheld her supervisor's phone number and only gave me his email address after I asked for it more than once. Her supervisor is Daniel R. Abby refused to guarantee I would be reserving a full size sedan for my rental. Abby stated that they require a credit card on file and will charge a $50 refundable deposit to hold the rental car, even if your insurance company is paying for the rental in full. Super sketchy! She even acknowledged that my insurance coverage for my rental is great. Abby actually refused to schedule my rental when I said I would not be providing her a recent pay stub and utility bill to reserve my rental which is totally unnecessary. Please, don't do this to yourself. Never get a rental car here! Abby is the worst! read more

Went in to pick up a car I had reserved and there was no car available. The only employee there (who was also washing cars, meaning I waited 25 minutes before I was even told I didn't have a car) was extremely unapologetic and said that I should have called her directly to confirm my reservation, even though I had an email confirmation. She claimed my confirmation number was just a confirmation of a "request for a reservation" and not a confirmation of my reservation. What? I guess her company isn't familiar with that process either because that's NOT what the confirmation I received said. There were 3 other customers in the office at that time in the same situation. Why take reservations for cars you don't have? (Enterprise said they could probably have a car for me in a WEEK. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever experienced. I made a reservation the day before and when I arrived to pick up my car, I was made to wait for over an hour before I was finally put in a vehicle. Nobody even acknowledged that I was there for at least 30 minutes. I wasn't the only person in the waiting area and on the phone that was frustrated. They clearly didn't have enough employees and vehicles to meet demand. Very poor planning on their part. I overheard several conversations from people calling asking where was their driver was to pick them up, as they were hours late. The employee Jamie, ended up having to take me to another location and in the process, had to drop someone else off at their work, and pick two more people up. He was extensively using his phone as he was driving, making calls, texting, and navigating. More than once he almost got us killed by nearly pulling out in front of oncoming traffic. I was terrified! On top of all that, when I finally received the car I had it for less than 24 hours, but was charged for 2 days rental. I played phone tag with the manager Rozanna who seemed unsympathetic to my experience. She declined to assist me with my complaint and was rude and pushy. I'll never darken their door again, and will be reaching out to my corporate travel department to share my thoughts of how poorly I was treated by Enterprise and how their employee almost killed everyone in the car with his illegal distracted driving. read more

I had my car stolen, and my insurance company set me up with a reservation here. When I called I was told there would be a wait list as they are rented out. I understood and called corporate to see what they could do. I was told it was because of low inventory, and I would be contacted by senior management to be given some options. It has now been 2-3 calls later of the same process, and I have not been contacted in 5 days. Not even so much as an email, to let me know I am on a wait list. I was told each time insurance customers are a priority, yet I was treated like trash and still have no car or information on when a car will be available. I find it extremely unreasonable that there isn't enough cars to go around in the capital of the state of Texas! Poorly run region and even worse regional management! Here at Enterprise Exotic Rental Car office to switch out my rental because the check engine light is on. Sales Manager Heather Allen is not in the office, she spoke to another rep but would not speak to me. I have called her 5 times she knows I'm here waiting but she won't answer my calls. their are no other customers so she is not busy.. this is one of the worst examples of customer service I have ever, I'm trying to be objective and open minded, but I can't help but think that this has some to do with me being a black male. I rented a car here for work and it turned out to be a great car. I had scheduled for an 8:30AM pick up but the car rental place called me and told me they would be a little late picking me up at around 8:45AM. It wasn't a big deal for me since I didn't really have to be anywhere soon. It might have been a little annoying if I had to be somewhere. I got a brand new Ford Focus SE and it was actually really nice. The outside looked like it never been washed but the inside was so clean since there was only 20 miles on the car. I took the car regardless of the dirty-ness anyways. Got great gas mileage. The whole renting experience was good. I had no issue, and I would return here to rent a car again. I have been reading through all the reviews on this location and see they are quite old, so I do not know if it has changed management since then, but I have rented with them for nearly 6 weeks over 2017. This is by far the best rental location I have ever been to. The customer service is second to none - they have been incredibly accommodating, friendly, and are always prompt with a smile. For example when we drove to NY from Texas we had an issue with the car and this location jumped right on the phone with a location nearby to get us in a newer car immediately without a problem. I would recommend this location to anyone who is looking for great customer service and an easy experience. read more

By far the worst customer service we have ever witnessed. Our Enterprise representitive tried everything in her power to be as unhelpful as possible, and truly succeeded. We had to call a reservation "escalation" department, only to witness this representative REFUSE to give her name, (Janeesha or Lateesha?) to her own corporate office!! Instead, demanding the corporate representative give her his name... wth. In the end, and more than four hours later, we were able to drive off in the correct vehicle. It only required us driving to a different location... However, there is NO way we plan to utilize Enterprise in our future, not with the lack of customer service they seem okay with. Great customer service and quality, clean cars. The bothersome chore of getting a rental was pleasant as could be. Enterprise knew more about my car insurance coverage than my insurance representatives. Enterprise helped me prepare for my automotive needs by informing me of a clause in my insurance stating that my rental coverage would end the moment that insurance made a decision about whether my vehicle could be repaired. Given my $600 or 30 day rental coverage through insurance, I was surprised to find out that I could not access my full coverage if insurance made a decision about my vehicle sooner than my 30 day or $600 rental use. Enterprise's thoroughness and wealth of knowledge saved me some tears and frustration by having all of the correct information from the start. The day my rental coverage ended (after 12 days and $240), Enterprise gave me a courtesy call early in the morning to inform me of the ending coverage. Thank you, Enterprise. So I am not complaining about this location specifically, but more about a general issue. I recently had a car accident and we set up a reservation to have my car towed away while I got use of a rental from Enterprise. They took the reservation from my Progressive agent and it seemed I had many choices. But after my car has been towed away for repairs, there are no cars available from any locations in the entire area! I understand with Covid that rentals are hard to come by. But why did they accept my reservation if they have no cars at all? We are trying to move out of State currently and are now stuck at an extended stay hotel with two kids and 3 dogs and zero vehicles! The waiting list option keeps getting offered but the next time cars were estimated to be available is about two weeks from now. I am supposed to start a nee job out of state before that and cant even begin to start this process. What is even worse is that to support us now, I am working as a delivery driver. So this is putting me out of work and quite possibly with no place to live. Thanks Enterprise! I used to rent from them constantly for concert production in Denver and was always happy. I called this location from a nearby dealership so I could have something to drive back and forth to work while my vehicle was serviced. I was able to reserve a rental within 5 minutes of being on the phone. Once I arrived on location, I was waited on immediately by Meghan Cummings, who checked me in and had me on my way in 20 minutes tops. I was impressed with customer service and politeness through the entire process!! When I returned vehicle it took less than ten minutes for check-in. I will go back in the future and I totally recommend this location for your rental needs!!! read more

I used to be a huge fan of Enterprise Rent-A-Car and held them up as a model of customer service. I've rented from them many times over the years. Recently, I booked a rental through insurance while my car was in the shop being repaired. The repair was booked two months out due to the busyness of the shop. My car was booked the same day -- in fact, the car shop connected me immediately by phone with the nearby Enterprise. Enterprise already had the insurance claim number and all other information they needed when I spoke with the representative. I was impressed with this seamless transfer of information. The Enterprise agent let me know all was set with my reservation and gave me a reservation #. It was so seamless, it seemed too good to be true so I confirmed that I didn't need to worry about the booking being two months out. The representative assured me I was all set. I realize now I should have listened to my gut and confirmed the reservation again as the date got closer (lesson learned) because Enterprise didn't have a car available for me the morning of my car repair drop off. In fact, they had NO record of my reservation and the agent told me they never book cars 2 months out. So, I was left stranded at the car repair shop. Enterprise told me it would be at least a week out before they could book me a car from there. I can't be without a car so I rebooked the repair (another 2 months out). I am now on the phone with Enterprise and am on hold 30 minutes into the call. I'm not sure if this is the effect of Covid but Enterprise needs to make some serious upgrades to their customer service. read more

Cars are not maintained most of the time even for basic stuff (don't care about cosmetics as much). Experienced this on two separate occasions. On one I had to fill up the car's tires myself right after renting and the other one had no washer fluid left inside. Cars tend to be dated too. I had no key fob in the last rental for example. Also a few months ago the representative lost the claim number I filed for windshield damage resulting in extra delay later on when resolving the claim. read more

If I could give this location a half of a star, I would. My car from another Enterprise location in Dallas had the "check engine" light, and I came to the Arboretum location to swap out my car, and they denied my request. I signed the paperwork, and my card was used for the deposit. I actually called two other Enterprise locations who told me that this was an unacceptable response. This placed me in danger, and had anything happened, the liability would have been on this company. Please examine and perhaps even revisit the way that procedures are completed. read more

So, ye olde John R. has apparently attained a bad luck disorder. I've been in two car accidents this year where my cars were both totaled (and yay! pain!). USAA contracts with Enterprise for their rentals. The first time I worked through this particular location, I had a pretty decent experience. This time, I had a less than good experience. And by less than good, I mean beyond horrible. USAA stopped covering my rental a week ago and due to my work schedule, I've not yet been able to purchase a car. I knew I'd be paying for the rental and was okay with that. I notified Enterprise of when I'd be returning the car and they were A-OK with it at the time. Then today, I received a phone call asking for payment. I told the man on the phone that I'd just pay when I returned the car in a few days and that I was going to be buying a car today or tomorrow. He then said "You can afford to buy a car but you can't afford to make a $170 payment?" I responded to him that his comment was very rude. He then made another rude quip and hung up on me. 20 minutes later he arrived at my job and put me in the particularly humiliating situation of taking the keys from me. Both myself and the customer service representative I filed a complaint with were perplexed as to why this happened. The man who called and came to collect the vehicle was probably one of the rudest persons I've ever encountered. I was told that it would be fine to extend the rental and this man left me stranded at work. I'm embarrassed to even detail the situation here, but I want Austin to be aware of the extremely rude service that this location provides. Attitude, lies, and lack of attention to detail in terms of documenting things are not a great way to run a business. I thought more of Enterprise. read more

I agree with a previous reviewer. They should not get one star even. The five star ones seem fake. This is the worst car rental company ever. I had a reservation with them, and first three branches kept tossing me around. None of them wanted to take the reservation as I was too far from them (2 miles is far for pick up??). Finally one accepted, but said they had no cars until 3 pm. I called at 1 pm, and they had a car!! But no pick up. When there is pick up, there is no car. When there is a car there is no pick up. They promised to pick me up at 2.30, but instead just called me and said they gave the car to someone else, and I have to wait indefinitely again. And Tyler in customer service kept arguing on how he was right....there is no one else in the office. Called the area manager Rosie but she did not pick up either. read more

When our car was rear-ended, that person's insurance covered a rental car during the repairs. Enterprise picked us up at the body shop. The insurance defaulted to a small car, smaller than the one in for repairs. Sebastian Lopez, who was very professional and helpful, called the insurance company for us, explaining that the car we left at the shop was bigger and asking them to cover an equivalent vehicle - which they did. Now that's service above and beyond. When we returned the car, the folks were similarly helpful and professional. Easy to work with, easy paperwork, no hassle lift back to the body shop. As for the vehicle itself, it was clean, ran well, and had no problems. We're delighted with Enterprise in general and the staff at this location in particular. read more

***UPDATE*** I'm almost satisfied now. The last time I went my car was ready and there were actually enough staff. The new manager gets the Enterprise way and is all in with the company's philosophy of customer service above all else. And, the lady who helped me was once again one of the best Enterprise agents that I have ever encountered. If all continues to go well I will delete my previous review below and be Completely Satisfied, and get that awesome woman's name to make sure she gets credit for being awesome at her job. ***End Update*** 4 bad experiences in a row have led to my first ever Yelp review, since I have time while I wait to be assisted. Each of the last 4 times they have not had my car ready. Additionally they have been significantly understaffed. The people are nice, but if they do not make an investment in their operation, I will take my business elsewhere. I rent from time to time for work, and so it's usually been at an airport, but this time it was car troubles, and so I found myself at the arboretum enterprise. I was pleasantly surprised! Even though it was a Sat, and they were only a two person team, someone picked me up from the car shop with very little wait. I was able to hop in a rental car, and be on my way, all within 10-15 minutes! I received great and pleasant customer service from Brandi, and she was also the representative to check me back in upon return, so I knew all was on board. I rent from this location regularly (at least twice every month) and do not have mayor complains on service. The staff is amicable and honor my reservations. I only had to wait a couple of times for my rental but only a few minutes. My only feed back is on pick up times. I have had to wait over an hour to get picked-up about 40% of the time. Most of the time I wait over 30 min. I usually call an hour ahead to accommodate for this and usually have to call again to remind them I have been waiting for pick-up. One time I was told there was not enough staff and I was not going to get picked-up (that time I called over an hour from the reservation time, was told to call later, then was told this). If they can figure this logistic problem out they would be outstanding in my book. read more
