The customer service is absolutely terrible. You can make a reservation for a car, but despite the fact that you've made a reservation, you can go in there and there will be no cars available. They don't do anything to help you once there are no cars, there are no cars and they are pretty rude. read more

Had a car rental via an insurance claim and this location was closest to the body shop. Needed to verify a pick up and car delivery to the repair facility. Called 3 times and no one ever picked up the phone. I eventually drove to the location and verified that yes, they did have me scheduled for pick up at 8:00 am. It's 9:00 and I'm still waiting on the car. I have rented from Enterprise in the past with no better customer service. Short staff always, never the car promised and always poor customer service. So you try to call them and the phone will ring ring ring. You come to this location no one available at the front desk so you sit and wait. Worst customer service ever they had attitude I had to wait almost an hour for a rental car worker to pick me up from the shop when I was 8 minutes away. Enterprise at security Blvd is the worst. The manager and workers are horrible. I was advised by enterprise road side assistance to bring my faulty rental at security to swap for another vehicle. The manager and his staff refused to help me. Instead he ignored the call and email from enterprise road side and left me with a damaged car. Unbelievable!!!! Not sure why the manager is still employed. The customer service is terrible. Just shut this building down. Shut it down!!! I will never rent a car from enterprise again. Warning Long Post*: I was supposed to be on the highway(omw to Connecticut for a Funeral)but something told me to check the tires again before leaving (which I don't normally do)...I asked them to check the vehicle completely before I sign the contract. The young man named Benjamin was very nice, he asked the Manager Jamal to put gas in the car and he even took the car around back himself to put air in the tires. What is so disturbing is the fact that both Men ignored the hazard lights on the dash, ignored the bubble in the tire and had no problem with renting this vehicle to me. I explained that I was traveling alone and I wanted and needed to be as safe as possible. I will take into consideration that I rented the vehicle 30.min before closing (with a reservation) but is that an excuse for someone's safety? After speaking to the manager Jamal...his response was" I do apologize". Huh? That's it! I asked if they checked each vehicle thoroughly before renting to the next customer? He replied yes, but No this vehicle was a quick switch out. Which another employee confirmed that this happens often at the end of the day(SWITCHING CARS OUT WITHOUT THOROUGHLY CHECKING THE CAR)This is so unacceptable! I would not want this to happen to anyone else. The posted highway speed limit is 65 on 95. I could've been killed traveling at that speed with a bad tire (blowout) All the manager could say was "what would you want me to do"? The young lady that gave me a ride home stated that Jamal voided the rental completely...but he didnt offer me anything to (try and) compensate for me missing spending time with my family during this very difficult time.(no free rental or anything) PLEASE CHECK YOUR VEHICLE'S BEFORE RENTING! PLEASE. This location needs a surprise Inspection. Asap *I even put $26 worth of gas in the vehicle and my money was not refunded. This was my first experience with this enterprise. I usually deal with the location off of Frederick Ave. which is really good. I must say, I was really impressed with this branch! They had a lot more workers on their staff which sometimes takes away from the customer service of some business. This wasn't the case here. As I walked through the door I was welcomed and greeted, and my wait time was over quickly. Danielle was my sales rep', and she did a great job. Now the only issue I encountered which is why I have 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wanted a Standard and ended up getting a Premium/Luxury because that was all that was available. I ended up spending more than what I had budgeted. However, Danielle gave me a discounted price because of the inconvenience so it wasn't completely bad. This is the first location that allowed me to make the hold with my credit card, with the option to pay with my debit card at the end. I thought that was very cool and convenient. If I need a rental in the future I will be coming here! read more

After reading the negative reviews I was pleasantly surprised that my experience was great! My pickup time was at 8:00 am so imagine my excitement when I arrived 10 minutes early and they were open. The moment I stepped inside it was a breath of fresh air to see a clean and neat establishment. Andre' R. Beckles, dressed in a suit and tie was kind, attentive and extremely professional! My car was clean and the moment I drove onto the parking lot I was complimented by the Buick car selected for me by a few pedestrians. My only gripe was that I didn't have a full tank of gas so trust me when I say I'll bring it back just as dry. That one fault certainly is no reason to take away a star. I'm not fond of the white guy that works here. He comes off as very passive aggressive with his approach and his energy is fake AF! I came with my boyfriend and walked up to the counter to the black girl (he knew me and my bf were together) and before I could finish my sentence to the girl at the desk he bolts from behind the counter he's pressing down my boyfriend with an IPad in his hand. Chill out. I felt rushed that my biggest thing. He was rude. He wasn't helpful and he was very short with his responses. I really really wanted to curse him because he wasn't trying to be helpful he was being snarky. Very opposite, no sign of a care unless it was a passive aggressive response of "Sorry guys!" "yea-NO-you need this" "oh you spoke to so-so nope he doesn't work here" "Oh yea-nope-can't use that either" "Yea that won't work unless you do this!" It's almost as if he was satisfied that he wasn't able to help us. It was weird but very very fake. I came back again because I just couldn't take his energy and I approached the black girl and there he was jumping up down like a frog. Let the girl speak. Idk if your a manager but please chill out. The staff are always very professional. The vehicles are clean and run well. What more can you ask for? They open promptly at 8am on weekdays and shuttle customers from Koons Ford on Security Blvd and allow the customers to leave the rental at Koons. They follow up to ensure customer satisfaction. I have been doing business with this location for several years and have no complaints. Lastly, they are very accommodating with regard to customer preferences (i.e., fuel efficiency, or size). I love dealing with this Enterprise and they ALWAYS provide EXCELLENT customer service; however my last rental I rented a car for travel to Charlotte, N.C . Long of the short - this is what happened: Prior to leaving, the air gauge was lit... I went back... tires were filled - gauge out. By the time I got to VIRGINIA, gauge was back on. * Traveling, single women become unnerved by the least/little/ things. Okay - I get to Charlotte and while traveling a dark road - my friend noticed the car had NO low beams - ONLY HIGH. * Then- en route back home - I encountered a HORRIBLE rain storm. The right wiper - while it worked - it wasn't performing the job. LASTLY - upon rental - I provided the young lady with my CREDIT CARD and instructed her that I would be paying with my DEBIT CARD upon return. Well, upon return, my CREDIT CARD HAD ALREADY BEEN BILLED! This is standard for me as I used the card for emergencies! So NOW - I'm HIGHLY ANNOYED! While I did receive a refund for a portion of the rental the issue of the security deposit was still out there. I had to call back and get that resolved. I understand Enterprise is built on sales and pretty much customer service... BUT- checking the cars is ESSENTIAL!!! Also, in my opinion cats should be on a full tank! My last two rentals... This WAS NOT THE CASE. I like this branch and will return... hopefully these things will be taken into consideration. PS. I'M GIVING A THREE BECAUSE THE REPS ARE NICE AND CUSTOMER FOCUSED. I left a car without damage in the lot in after hours drop off (because they are closed Sunday the entire day) and was not contacted by Enterprise Woodlawn until 5 days later when I received an email from Damage Recovery Unit. They said there was a dent in the car (that wasn't there when I dropped the car off) and now I have to pay via my insurance (and an increased premium) or out of pocket. I still haven't even seen a picture of the supposed damage. I feel like I have been taken advantage of. Had I known that they would do this during after hours drop off, I never would have done Enterprise, but rather a rental company that had better hours and wouldn't allege something I have no way of defending. NEVER AGAIN!! No one acknowledged customers as they walked in. The reservation system is useless. I had a 9 a.m. reservation, however was told there were no cars available and to check back at 2:30. The phone rings off the hook non-stop and no one answers. There were 2 workers in the back, yet neither of them answered the phone. The wait to get my rental car was over an hour. The representative took me out for the visual inspection and then her tablet died so she had to re-start my reservation documents on a computer inside the office. She was able to complete this but then the payment system went down. There are signs posted inside the car stating it has been cleaned and sanitized. Not the case. I used a wipe to clean the dash, sticky steering wheel and seats. The cloth was black when I was finished. I do not recommend this location at all. Booked a Compact car here, and when they called me to confirm the reservation, I told them specifically that, I need a car with 4 door. They said, sure, thats not a problem. But when I went to pick up my car, they have a 2 door one. I said, It doesn't work with me. Then they said, you can take Intermediate one, but you have to pay $15 per day. I personally rent from this location all the time. To the point they all know my name when I walk in. (I love their weekend specials, sometime I just rent a car cause I like driving different cars.) Everyone there is always very nice and helpful. I think this pretty much sums up how I feel about this branch. I would send my mother, sister or girlfriend there without a second thought. I booked a compact car online for $20 a day for 10 days. I received a confirmation email. I arrive at enterprise in Woodlawn MD where I'm told I'm getting a fiat. Only when I walk out to inspect the car they gave me an SUV. I told them I prefer small cars, they said that was all they had available. I leave the parking lot and look at my paperwork and see they are charging me $44 dollars a day and not $20. When I go back and asked for the car to be switched out for the one I reserved I was told that not only was that enterprise out of compact and economy cars but that every location is also out. I was told to call back and switch the car the next day. Now its a new day and i'm still being told the same thing. None of the local enterprises have compact or economy cars and my money is being eating up by a car that cost 125% more than the car I wanted, requested and was confirmed for. If I can't get this car switched out today I will have to return it and see if I can get one from a more reliable company because if you agree to pay $200 they shouldn't be able to charge you $440 especially when its because they don't have what you previously agreed to rent. read more

I've been meaning to write this earlier about how great this location is. This summer we received a toxic paint smelling car from the airport that got worse the longer we had it. Initially we though it was a new car smell but as time went on we discovered it had not been cleaned properly and there were paint splashes in the back. The airport location wouldn't answer their phones and when we finally got hold of them were no help at all and wouldn't change the car out unless we drove over an hour back to them and interrupted our vacation. We went to this location and met Super Woman, Kendall Jones. She saved the day and handled the whole process pain free. After 5 hours dealing with the airport Enterprise's lack of customer service she got it done in a hour. I will never rent from the airport again. If you need results talk to the branch manager Kendall she is great! read more

This review is not for just this location, it is intended for the whole company. This trip was a disaster!! Rented a 2013 Nissan Altima from a location in Columbus, the next day it started stalling at stops, then started jerking really hard at acceleration. Called enterprise in Ocean city Maryland, both locations didnt have cars available.. Ok, on our way out we're passing through Delaware, we'll switch cars there! Well 10 minutes before we get there we get a call.. They have no cars! Fine, the car isnt acting up right now, i guess we'll start heading back. Get off of an exit in Baltimore and the transmission completely goes out! Awesome! Call enterprise again.. We're put on hold as they check the 3 locations in the city. NO CARS! we ended up waiting an hour if not longer for a tow truck to take us to the airport where the only thing they had was a mini van. Whatever, we'll take it. But by that time driving back to Ohio would get us home by about 2am, causing us to have to find a hotel for the night instead (costing us more time and money than planned).. "Enterprise, we'll pick you up!" Yeah, not likely!! read more

To be fair, the young lady did her best. Here are all the issues I encountered. Knowing I would not be using a major credit card, I contacted this location not once, but twice with the information I had to give them. I was specific in what I would bring. I was told, sure, that is fine, no problem. Today, I got up, put extra cash in my account and went to Enterprise. Then the games began. I was not listed correctly on the insurance, an extra $119. My current bill (water bill) was too old, even though I specifically stated I would be bringing a water bill which is released quarterly. Nope, not even close. My insurance agent spent time on the phone correcting the insurance, but still I have no car. Be Clear. They want a major credit card. If you don't have one be prepared to jump through major hoops. If you are uninsured, it is an extra $29.95/per day for insurance. Good luck! Just go to one of the rent a wreck places. You will have no issues - except maybe with the vehicle.
