Long story short- after several hurdles- they overbooked and cancelled my friend's 6 month old reservation before their reservation time. They did this because my friends did not have a credit card. When they booked, no one said they needed one. I asked about every option i could think of to resolve it. All 'No's. Called corperate. I'm not usually in the habit of reviewing rental car places, but I had a good experience with this one. The staff was friendly and helpful, the service was speedy, and everything went smoothly While waiting for my luggage at baggage claim I walked over and picked up my rental keys. The individual was efficient, pleasant, and thorough. I was done before bags even started coming out. The lot was very close to the arrivals door of the airport, and this location is crazy close to downtown Billings (like 5min away) I received a text message from Enterprise after picking up my car just checking in with me. This was helpful because I had a question about the return process, a this was a direct line to the front desk at the airport location. They promptly responded and addressed my question While returning the car, the attendant was one of the most friendly staff members I had ever spoken to. Again, they were efficient, helpful, and they made me feel valued The only confusing part was that there was a sign when you get in the queue for Enterprise, but the sign said like National and another car company (not Enterprise). I was told that anyone at any of the rental car company desks would be able to help. Similarly, at drop off, you can park in any of the rental car spaces, not just Enterprise Some tips: Remember you can text them if you have any questions. Rented a car from Billings airport from 9/16 to 9/18. When you return the car you leave it in the parking lot and leave key in a drop box. There is no one that checks you in. When you pick up the car you walk to parking lot and find your spot and just drive away. It is completely unmonitored. I dropped car off at 1pm on the 18th and received an email a few days later regarding damage to vehicle. When I dropped vehicle off there was no damage. See image. Reserved vehicle online. Completed check-in online. Landed, walked toward the counter. Found people lined up in 4+ queues, with two staffers behind the counter handling transactions for 3 different car rental companies. One staffer left the counter, so now one employee was handling all the lines. She would say 'next,' and everyone in the various lines would eye one another, as we had no idea who had arrived when. What a mess. Once we had our car, all was fine, but if this is how the counter is staffed on a daily basis, then set up ONE line using the stanchions. No need for a 'Checked In' line when it provides no advantage whatsoever. read more

What a mess of a business. As you arrive at the baggage claim you will see all rental car booths. There is NOBODY manning Enterprise. They have a sign that National will help you. They give you the keys and documents you've sign, direct you to go outside with your assigned parking space where you can pick up your car. There are no other agents outside that will help you or check the vehicle with you. Upon returning you will end up in the same parking lot but wondering where to park because Enterprise only has like 6 spots. Fuck it, park anywhere because that seems to be the service motto here. Remember your mileage but forget about where you park the car because they won't ask for that. You'll need to drop off your keys into the Enterprise box and sign a paper. Fuck it, an agent from another agency will ask for your keys. Good luck or better yet, don't rent from this place while at Billings. The other agencies are present and they might help you or not. read more

In short, I do NOT recommend this branch of the company Late July 2020, I was doing a road trip with my wife and brother and we, unfortunately, experienced a flat tire. As expected, we put on the donut tire and went to find the nearest Enterprise around us because you're not supposed to drive long distances on a donut tire. Made it there and explained the situation and without empathy, we're told there we no alternative vehicles available and no one was available to provide us a new tire (it was Sunday of course). Reportedly the best they could do was provide us a hotel and replace the tire tomorrow, but this was not an option for us because my Brother had a flight to catch the next day. At this point Enterprise pretty much gave up on helping us. In the end we ended up solving the issues ourselves by calling around town and eventually found the Sam's Club would help us. Amid our wild goose chase, we called Enterprise Corporate and discovered that this Enterprise location actually did have cars available and ready for rent! I don't need to explain in this review how that'd make you feel. As a result of the Billing Enterprise branch business practices, we had to drive through the middle night, operate on less sleep than preferred, and waste a lot of time. To the credit of our original Enterprise Branch they reimbursed us entirely for the tire and service. read more

This is the most disappointing enterprise location I have ever visited. Every time I rent here there is an issue and you can kiss the hopes of any kind of upgrade goodbye - if you didn't book it specifically, you're not getting it. Some of the cars have damage and they do NOT do a walk around with you beforehand- you have to make multiple trips in and out if you find something. There are approximately two employees there who can get you settled on the first attempt. If you need to call to extend or add a driver prepare to be on the phone for at least 30 minutes, or to have to call multiple times throughout the day for the request to actually get fulfilled/ sent to you. I've rented from enterprise exclusively since 2018 and will not be on my next trip after working with this location. read more

I rent cars from them 4 times a month, their free plus awards is great, and you can add points for free rentals, here is a great tip, book a compact a week out then 5 hours before picking up your car check rates, they want your compact to rent out for more money, and they reduce the full size rates to get them off the lot, I usually save 20.00 to 25.00 a day, also rent fri sat sunday return Monday for the great weekend rates read more

When traveling for business, these guys are not only professional, but very friendly and seem to care about your rental experience. Nice selection of cars and they're quick. My only criticism is that they don't allow more than 200 miles a day (I've always equated enterprise with unlimited miles). Plus, their assigned parking spots for Enterprise are all at the farthest end of the lot. Not fun when you have a lot of luggage. And why not create a more user-friendly system to have the car brought to the curb, etc? Plus all the agencies expect you to look over the car on your own with a little chit type ticket like from the 1970s. Uh, it's snowing and cold, I gotta lug all my bags out there, try and find the numbered space at the very end, then do a walk around etc.? Why not walk out there WITH the customer and assist to make the process easier and more personal as opposed to staff staying inside all toasty and warm? This seems like something all the rental agencies should consider in Billings airport in such a customer service industry. For these reasons, they really should be rated a 4-star, BUT, the staff has always been kind and friendly so, for now, they are getting 5-stars. read more

This review was written by my mother who fell victim to the incompetent staff at this rental station: There is a small company located at 446 South 20th Street West that needs some free advertising. ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR has ridiculed me personally and monetarily. Billings needs to know of their unfair and unprofessional business practices, especially towards a senior citizen. I don't usually rent cars, except a couple of times at the airport and not with ENTERPRISE. The rental companies at the airport are professional, helpful and informative. At Enterprise on 446 South 20th Street West, there was no respect. I was shown how to use the wipers and gear shift; shown a chip in the windshield that was then marked on the rental agreement. I was then handed the keys. I returned their car a day ahead of time, approximately an hour after they closed. I walked up and down the building looking for a place to drop the keys. I couldn't find anywhere to put them and there was nothing designated on the rental sheet as to where to leave the keys. There was a man walking through the small poorly lighted parking area, which made me feel nervous. My taxi showed up just then and I decided to leave the keys in the door pocket and lock the car; not knowing that these keys were the only keys to the car! At the airport, it is not required that a person call the company and tell them that the car is back, but apparently that is what ENTERPRISE on 446 South 20th Street West thinks someone should do. They only have about seven cars in their small lot, but they can't SEE that one of their cars is parked out there - even for five days. Apparently, the white car I rented sat there for days and no one noticed it! I looked at my Discover card bill online and noticed that ENTERPRISE had doubled the amount for the car. I called the company. I will prefer to use their initials, "R" - manager and "D" - employee and not have their real names spread throughout their office, like they did mine. I am referring to the day I called their office and stated my name, the person answering the phone said "Oh you are the person who locked the keys in the car." When I spoke to "R", he was very unprofessional and laughed a lot through our conversation. He stated that since I locked the keys in the car, I would have to pay for five days of rental fees since they didn't see the car in the lot and I didn't call and let them know. I wondered if I had left the car unlocked and somebody stole it, would I be liable for that. The answer was YES. I have stated to ENTERPRISE, Discover Card, and their disputed claims people to look at the surveillance camera and see me walking up and down that small business looking for a key drop box (like the airport has). Nothing has ever been said about the camera, so they probably don't even have a surveillance camera. The first and second person I talked to at Discover Card told me to contact the Better Business Bureau, which I did. The third person at Discover Card said that this is a case of "buyer beware". I am being charged with a whopping $275 as my punishment for securing a rental car. To resolve the problem, I would appreciate the $275 refunded. Don't do business with ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR on 446 South 20th Street West. You will be tricked!! read more

If there was a STUPID award, this car rental would get it in spades! Instead of repairing the car part - they used plastic zip ties to hold a piece in place. IT DIDN'T WORK - and our whole trip was full of this dragging and scratching sound that EVERYONE heard - even us! Their logic for combining BOTH keys together - into one metal tie that cannot be taken apart - is absolutely ASININE! Not only can only one person use the key(s), but if one is lost - both are lost. The "explanation" of them actually losing fewer keys is THEIR problem - not mine! We were forced to have this massive "set of keys" in our pocket because they are too stupid to figure out a way to reasonably control THEIR problem of key losses. When I explained that I was out in the rain, and SNOW in September, the "guy" at the counter acted as if it were MY PROBLEM. Well, it may be, but I will not be renting from Enterprise again. I would give this location for Enterprise Rent-A-car no stars if Yelp allowed such a review. On 4/03/2018 I was notified I had a confirmed reservation for that date. Upon arrival I was told that there were no vehicles of that size available. I asked why and the representative told me that it had not be delivered. He then just spurred his shoulders and suggested I try another agency. A gentleman walk by and picked up my reservation confirmation, looked at it, returned it the me and walked away with saying a word. I found both representatives discourteous and rude. I will not forget this experience, although I will forget Enterprise as a service I will use in the future. If Enterprise wishes to dispute this experience I will gladly give the the confirmation number. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! A wasted trip that cost me over $2500. I had a reservation for over a month. I flew one way and over 1100 miles to be told that I was unable to rent a car. This happened on September 26, 2020. Today is now October 13th. I have talked to multiple agents who have told me that someone would call me back but never did. I finally resorted to social media and finally today I got a call from the location manager who told me that there is nothing they can do. He refused to give me his name and position. But he did provide me with his direct reports name and phone number. I had to leave a message. Let's see how long it takes for me to get a call back! Too bad there is not a ZERO star rating. This company cost me money, vacation time for me and my brother and a lot of stress. Hey his rental vehicle was to help bring the rest of my belongings home. Now I have no idea when I can do that as I have used my vacation time! This experience has been much more than disappointing. read more

Enterprise and Avis are Connected in this Airport. The problem we had was booked with Avis. We rented a car here in 2016 and had a great experience, enjoyed the car and our trip. We returned it early in the morning after washing it and making sure it was in great condition. It was spotless since it was just the two of us. My husband took the keys in to the counter and they smiled and said thank you and gave him his receipt. (Yes, now we know) We didn't do a walk around with a representative and a few weeks later we got a call from a claims department stating that the roof was caved in and they had picture which we saw and it was but it was not that way when we had returned it. I told our insurance company that it was a scam but they had no option but to pay it. A couple of weeks later they tried again saying that the door was dented, our insurance company denied that claim. We had rented the car with a credit card and had deductible coverage so we didn't have to pay anything out of pocket for the claim but I now have an accident on my insurance that did NOT happen. The car had no dents or damage when we returned it. I have heard of this happening, but we thought "Not here with these nice, normal people, it won't happen to us this one time." IT DID! read more

If I could give it ZERO stars I would!!!! I have choices with work for my business rentals and I don't often see the difference between the companies and just choose at random. That will never happen again and if I can avoid it I will never rent from Enterprise again!!!! After a 3 hour delay for my trip to Billings, our plane finally lands at 1230 am. All the rental car places are still open and everyone is able to pick up their car. But not me. And not the 4 other people behind me that also had reservations but could not pick up their cars! They just leave?!?!? And no notes, nothing, to inform or help those of us stranded. We were all left standing there with no options. I travel often and could get some ideas together but I noticed quite a few others were really at a loss what to do. Gave some pointers to a couple to get them moving. There had been a hail storm in the area a few weeks prior (damages cars) and it's the high point of tourist season so it's not as if we could all just go to another counter. And some had prepaid I am sure, etc. Terrible service!!!!!! Now I will also point out, I had this exact experience 5 days prior in Rapid City, SD. Same exact. We landed at 1am there and the gentleman was still there for all of us that had reservations. We were the last plane in. He also explained he was not actually allowed to leave until we all landed. That is customer service! I actually feel bad I will have to cease working with them in Rapid as well but I cannot give this company my business with such little regard for customer experience! So far I am less then Impressed, Just spoke with "Ashley" this AM to have a rental dropped off due to a accident to my car was involved in accident on Friday evening, on Saturday afternoon I received a conformation number from Progressive as they took care of the paperwork. The reason I am telling you all of this is to show a time line and that I had a conformation to receive a car, Ashley saw this as i did not even have to give them my conformation number but was told they were "out of cars." A little shocked, I said "a rental company out of cars?" which I got the reply " Mondays we usually sell out." So they had a reservation for my car which they took, then either over booked or just rented it for a better rate then progressive works out with them. Either way not professional business practice and the tough luck attitude I received from Ashley was not helpful either I will update my review at the end of this journey, but first impressions where sorely lacking. read more

This is only the second time I've rented a car vehicle and both times I've used Enterprise. The first time was at one of their Denver locations. I rented a van to move out of state. I had a unique situation and all the other companies I tried were rude and not willing to work with me at all. Enterprise bent over backwards to get me taken care of. I kept running into problems (my problems, not problems with them) and they were so flexible and friendly about everything. They even drove several miles out of their pickup area to get me. Long story short, they totally saved the day and I was blown away by their customer service. I live in Billings now so when I needed to rent a van to move back I naturally thought of them first. Having had one previous experience with them, I didn't know if the excellent service was a company-wide thing or just good luck, but after my experience today I think that must just be how they're trained, which is really impressive. At first I thought the whole "we're different because we're family owned" thing was just a gimmick, but they really are. I don't have the van yet - all I've done so far is reserve it - but just like before I had a lot of issues to work around. I talked to 3 different people over the course of the day and all of them were wonderful, especially a manager named Derek. Most customer service reps are happy when they can just say no and move on to the next person, but he never gave off that impression. He actually cared about my situation and approached it like a puzzle to be solved. I knew he wouldn't leave me hanging. Sure enough, through some creative thinking, he found a way to get the van reserved for me while still following the rules. It's so nice to be treated like a person, and far more rare than it should be. The next time I need to rent a vehicle I will definitely definitely use Enterprise. read more

Very professional employees. They are quick in processing the rental paperwork. Really seems that they know how to work the computers to expedite you through to your rental. Representatives are professionally dressed and courteous. Employees seem a cut above from other counters at the BIL airport. If you have booked your rental through some other service, the fee that you were quoted has always followed through at the counter. I have used Enterprise several times at BIL airport. I have also used most of the other counters at BIL. The Enterprise representives give me their cell phone to report any damage after inspecting the vehicle. I do not want to return to terminal to report a chip in the windshield. I call from the car and it is a done deal. Enterprise seems to be the one that can speed you through the process on a consistent basis. I usually rent based on rates. Keep your rates competitive and I will return. read more
