Best Rental Car Experience EVER! When my car had to visit the Auto Collision hospital (!), I chose Enterprise on Rte 454 in Bohemia as they were close by. Amanda helped me get set up, patiently explained everything, and got me an excellent rate on the rental. When it was time to turn the car in, Jackie was equally helpful, and drove me to the collision place to pick up my car. Everyone was efficient and nice to deal with. If we could give zero stars we would. My mother in law goes in to pick up a reserved SUV. The rep at the counter was extremely aggressive with her, raising his voice and expressing he's had a bad day. At some point the rep walks away from the counter and starts shouting at her from the other room that he cant help her, since she does not have a credit card. All of this occurred in a lobby full of customers and other staff. the interaction was so horrible the other staff member apologized as my mother in law walked out. She went back in to ask the rude reps name, he smugly smiled and replied James. My mother in law was left shaken and very upset. we reached out to speak to a manager, someone took down a complaint but we have yet to get a call back. read more

Was in an accident and needed a rental car. My insurance company set-up the reservation with them. I arrive and am told there is a $300 initial deposit. Ok, no problem. I return a few weeks later to inform them I need to extend the rental a few days longer than insurance is going to pay. Was told that would not be a problem and would even be given the same rate insurance was paying. However at this time they put another hold of $380 on my card. So now that's $680 on hold. I was told this was just an error and would be fixed right away. Nope. I return the car and try to explain the extra hold again, but this time the salesman wanted nothing to with me and just inspected the car and sent me on my way saying, "it will all be taken care of." It is now been a week since returning the car and they still have not released the $380 and no help when I call. read more

The Obnoxious Manager there is a liar; and very confrontational! If I could, I'd give 0 star. Stay away from him when you go to hat branch. The other reps are very nice though. That manager even when he's not the one who's helping you, interjects constantly. Before signing anything ; be very careful! Ensure that you review what you are signing and know what charges you will be paying. He will lie and claim that he discussed charges that he did not with you. Also, take your time to read the documents and double check that you are ok with the charges before signing. Told the sales person multiple times while I was driving back from the body shop that I did not want the insurance. He than INSTRUCTED me where to sign and initial when I was completing the contract. My moms insurance company sent her here when her car was in the shop and I wish they sent her somewhere else. They were so rude to her, rude to me! The girl working front desk was nice but the boys in the parking lot are assholes. Their lot is already super small so there's no place for me to park so I can pick my mom up and as I'm waiting by the exit, here come two workers in a car and they park right up my ass. Instead of getting out of the car and asking me to move they lay on the horn twice! They also had enough room to go around me but whatever let's honk at the customer lol! I'm also trying to turn around and they're walking around the lot aimlessly just goofing off like gtfo the way! They also tried to give my mom a car that had an expired inspection. After saying something they gave her a different car that was trashed! I rented a van to travel down to Florida, I did pick this vehicle up in the dark and thought everything would be fine. The next morning I looked at the vehicle and the outside was dirty. I drove South and when arriving in Florida a family member mentioned the front tires on this vehicle are bald. I called the Bohemia branch and I asked if they could help me locate the nearest Enterprise from my location and was told try Google. I had to waste 3 hrs of swapping this vehicle for my drive back to NY. William the assistant manager has now on 2 separate occasions been rude and disrespectful. One time he charged me for roof damage that I did not cause. It was also really minor, looked like hail damage. There was no hail storm now another time I was returning a car and was handing over to my friend this was after hurricane sandy, I prepaid for a full tank, and I was returning with 3/4 tank I asked if he could just mark as 1/4 tank so my friend wouldn't have to pay for full tank on return as we ate having a gas crisis, and his response was really angry, no no no, if he would said nicely I would have been ok but he had such an attitude. Bottom line don't trust him, maby the actual manager is ok but not William. a month later my best friend rented a car there and they accused him of roof damage and told him he must have put a Christmas tree on top, (he did not) this place is scamming plp watch out! read more

I used the one in Bohemia. It went very smooth. They picked me up and took me back when I was done needing the car a week later. The staff was great; helpful and friendly. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars was the guy who picked me up. Not particularly friendly but certainly capable enough. The car I rented was ok. Clean and ran well. I needed a rental car for 10 days while my car was in the shop. The person on the phone that helped me was lovely. He was also great when I arrived to pick up the car. The car, however, was awful. They handed me a set of 2 keys for the vehicle and one was literally broken in half. They gave me half a key fob....not sure what the point of giving that to me was as it was unusable. The car was filthy inside and out. It reeked of cigarette smoke and also had cigarette burns on the seats, dirt and sand all over the floors. I only had the car for about 4 days before the change oil light came on. I called Enterprise and they basically brushed me off and said the light just needed to be reset. That didn't sit well with me, so I checked the oil and there was barely any oil in the car. I had to go to the store and purchase oil. Of course, once the oil was put in the car, the light went off. The people working there were nice, but I would not use this location again. read more

The worst experience I had my rental set up by my insurance company I called in the morning was told All set but don't come in the morning come in the afternoon I told them I wanted a suv will they have one available was told yes I asked when they close was told 6pm. I arrived after 330 no vehicle available they made Little effort to fix the issue and if wanted to travel to distant location to get a vehicle I didn't want. I asked if they could drop the vehicle off to me And was told no can't do that . This was just a hassle-free, pleasant experience... everyone was friendly and knowledgeable. Couldn't help but notice each member of the staff made a point of introducing themselves; the staff member I worked with directly went thru the process in detail and was very helpful. I've rented cars before... and when I thought back on how easy this was I couldn't help but notice how positive and hassle-free the process was. Have to say I have used enterprise multiple times, actually used them for an entire month and a week in October ( so they have made a good amount of money off me to say the least about four times at a month each time ) but went to a different location Thank GOD! To say my experience was far from the best is an under statement especially after just being in an accident. I had a reservation through insurance which enterprise rule is that a payment of $50-$250 has to be held on the card which the most they ever even held on me was $40! I arrived at 7:30 AM so I could get to work ...they tell me they have no cars my insurance covers but they have a Ford Explorer they could put me in for $26 more a day and $50 held on the card the manager NICOLE sitting right there says yeah that's fine you can do that for the ford not the BMW and specifically when the kid said he didn't think he could she goes YES you can!!!!! So I had to run back home because airhead me grabbed the wrong card to get a call that nope sorry can't do that anyyyy car you take even a POS needs a $250 hold which is a lie MAJOR lie that even corporate said was FALSE::: if your insurance is paying for your rental there are No mandatory holds on cars and every other enterprise I have gone to has never ever done that ! Now at this point it wasn't about money was about wasting my time an hour of my time, lying to me, and then making it a personal problem especially when these people have collected $1,000 of dollars from me and my insurance !Then to boot they rented the car out already. Don't waste your time going here go to Patchogue enterprise if your traveling stay with MacArthur because they never have the car promised anyways any car you book is not going to be what there giving you maybe similar, there holding money they are not stated to, then rent cars out they tell you you can have !! I have had to use this place several times when I travel, but my last exprience was truly annoying . I reserved a rental weeks before the storm Sandy hit. I was called days before my rental( over a week after the storm) that they are canceling me due to the "storm". Well, ok, if it was to help out someone that needed a car, fine. I had a very low rental price and that was the ONLY reason they bumped me off the reservation. They would rent the car to someone else at a much higher price and that I find inexusable. Be sure you read all the "fine print" when you rent for a low price anyway, because there is always a catch. Also, although the staff is always friendly, they are very pushy as far as trying to let you buy every so called "insurance and protection plan" It adds up quickly. read more

Terrible experience , left went to west islip and had a wonderful experience ... the guy at west islip was awesome , professional , kind and compassionate . I wanted to rent a car to surprise my mother in law for her 75th bday .. I arrived and the girl asked me for a utility bill bc I had a debit card (no one told me to bring a utility bill ) after asking my neighbors to go to my house and send a picture of my pseg bill the girl told me my bill was passed due and she wouldn't accept it she refused to even look at my oil bill and phone bill which were in perfect standing ... she said it was too late once she saw my pseg (mind you we just had a hurricane and pseg told us we have a grace period while they figure out the reimbursement). The were totally rude I told her I had my daughters medication another reason I needed to get to pa .. she could not care less . So than I paid my credit card bill with my debit card so I could use my Credit card and while the payment was processing she ran my card It came up declined I called the bank they said simply run it again it was too soon the money was now available ... after an hour and a half of me crying and begging her to run my card both the woman there coldly refused .. she never told old once you run it you can't (she wouldn't ) run it again .. I left there shaking and in tears went to west islip rented the car on my credit card and I was on the road in minutes.. why couldn't they just tell me to go to another enterprise instead of watching me suffer and have anxiety, I spoke to people who work for the company they said they have heard these woman were bad at there jobs and could have been much more helpful . STAY AWAY! I received a letter from Enterprise that the car I was driving acquired a toll and/or moving violation while I had the vehicle. I was assessed a fee and an additional charge from Enterprise with ZERO supporting documentaiton regarding this toll/violation. I called this location and repeatedly left messages, asking for the documentation so that I could properly fight the charge. They NEVER returned a single call of message. Furthermore, calling the customer service 1-800 line is also a joke, as your call is consistently transferred and then disconnected. I have two upcoming booked car rentals for business. Needless to say, I am avoiding Enterprise like the plague that it is. read more

I rented a car from this location for 3 weeks, it was a Ford edge SUV. First of all, the staff was extremely helpful, friendly, cheerful and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. Vehicle was super clean, and had all the bells and whistles. Upon return, they were just as amazing, and the service I received surpassed my expectations. I was hit from behind in a bad car accident, which i had my 7 months old daughter in the car. I needed a car because i needed to go to doctors appointments for my daughter and I. I was 3 weeks away from my 25th birthday which i knew id get a shit car. I didn't expect it to be this bad but i said my insurance is covering it so its going to bringing me to point A & B. My car wasn't done with my insurance only covering my rental for 30 days, i had to keep my rental going and i was in this very small car with my daughter, and could barley fit her stroller in the back. When my birthday came and i was 2 i said now i can get a better car since the age of renting any type of car is 25 but my insurance around my birthday it being away from the 30 days to being up its not covering my rental anymore, which is just ridiculous because i didn't even cause this accident. But i came in and said if they had anything bigger, its very hard to fit my daughters stroller in, my insurance didn't care at all before i go to enterprise to call them and tell them my cars not done i need it extended blah blah blah which they didn't car and said we can't do anything for us, and to talk to enterprise. So i needed a car and something safer especially when they don't get their cars serviced i mean 7% oil life left in a 2015 black dodge dart which they had to replace the front glass before i rented it or more thats what they gave me. I came in and i said i really need a bigger car, what do you have available and how much, since I'm a stay at home mom and am not working and can barley afford this. The guy Anthony said we have a Dodge Ram truck which I've driven before and i got a snotty remark saying "you do know its a powerful truck its a Hemi/V8 you sure you will be able to handle it". Im a 25 year old mother/person , who are you to tell me what or if I'm able to handle a powerful truck. So i let that comment go and replied I've had a Dodge Ram before i think i can handle it. RUDE. So he said it will be $20 a day. I said ok i shouldn't have it more than a week, i had it for exactly 8 days, they lied and said $20 a day and crossed it out on the print up contract since i had to switch cars, they crossed out that price and put $43 and $8.99 + $4.99 a day so really its $56.98 a day which they didn't tell me at all. I never would have agreed to that due to the fact i don't have an income coming in and id have to upfront this money. Not once was any information about all these fees mentioned additional to the $20 a day. I was by the truck trying to put my daughter in the car and my mother was inside so mother signed for it which she is in the wrong, i did not authorize her to sign anything and they didn't come and get me to say miss you have to sign this paper, this is how they get one over on people. Last time checked its my credit card not my mothers and she wasn't suppose to sign for me. Thats wrong on their part and hers which i told her, so for 8 days renting a Dodge Ram i was charged $751.46. And i didn't say i wanted their insurance so thats where they added $8.99 & $4.99 a day came in on top of the $43 they charged me which was suppose to be $20, and them saying oh we gave you the geico rate yeah my ass you did. On top of being injured and dealing with major damages and it being almost 2 months since my car is still not fixed this is what else i have to deal with. The man who helped me was Anthony. No one knows how to run anything in that office, and i found out when i had to go down there to take to them the police were their and hear their cars got broken into and tired robbed. Avoid this place unless you're ready to pay for damages. I made the mistake of having them pick up my rental car and days later, without any notice from these lovely people, I get the damage claim for $800 in the mail and am being told to write an incident report on something I had no part in. I'm convinced they damage the cars intentionally if you refuse their insurance. If you have to use them, make sure to photograph the car. I don't understand how these people live with themselves as they scam innocent people during a tough time in their lives. I will never use them again. read more
