Customer service was attentive, quick, and pleasant to chat with. No upsells were made, but I did have National Executive status. The shuttle driver and ride was prompt and courteous. The only thing that could've been improved upon is if they called me ahead of time to ask if I needed a ride to the location.

I hope this review can help others to avoid my terrible circumstances in the future. I brought my 2017 Tundra in for a 90k service to Rodland. I am very consistent on my services and would go to Rodland for my big mileage services. The service went fine although it was $1000 (expected). Roughly 10 months later when I was driving on the freeway my transmission drain bolt fell out, fluid drained out, and my transmission is toast. I brought my truck to a local mechanic where I was stranded. That independent mechanic was adamant that the cause was either the bolt not being torqued to spec or a new crush washer not being properly installed at my last service. I did not hit anything or sustain any damage. The mechanic thought for sure Rodland (who last touched my transmission and serviced it) would take responsibility and help me with a new transmission in some form or fashion. I called Rodland and asked if they would be willing to tow it to them (or I would pay to) and help me with this service issue. Rodland denied any responsibility, said I could tow it to them, but that I would have to pay full price for a new transmission and they said other shops would probably be cheaper. After escalating the issue, they said they would look into maybe getting me a discount on a new transmission. After looking into it, they stated the transmission is not available (on back order) and all they could offer was for me to pay full price for a rental car from them in the meantime. No loaner (they don't offer them) or discount on rental was offered. I ended up ordering a new transmission through a different Toyota dealership who was willing (Marysville) and I have been quoted a wait time of roughly 3-4 months for delivery. So in conclusion, going to the dealership for my 90k service ($1000) lead to my drain plug falling out 10 months later, transmission failing, zero offer of customer service help (anything would have made me thankful), and now a 3+ month wait for a new transmission from Toyota. Please for your sake ALWAYS make sure your drain plugs are properly replaced and tightened after your services. I will now ALWAYS do this. I love Toyota, but this was (and still is) a real tough pill to swallow. I hope this review helps Rodland and/or a customer in the future.

Terry actually drove the car from Whidbey Island to my home in Tacoma, and had some friends of his drive another vehicle so he could get home. This involved two hours of drive time and two ferry passages! On TOP of that, when I received my license plates in the mail, included was a refund check of 29 dollars. I mean EVERY time I called they were just happy to help and I had major concerns about doing this and being so far away that I could not be there in person, and they were my eyes and ears during the whole process, but I wanted a certain size and layout and I had to find one 1200 miles away. Everything was handled and I was finally ready to go get it a few weeks later. When I got there to pick it up the generator failed. But the sales manager James stepped in and solved the problem within minutes! They got everything finished and even had an amazing tech named Sofia do a walk through with me and teach me about the unit. I'm telling you that I am a difficult customer with very high standards and sometimes I am darn near impossible to impress...but the people at Speedway RV definitely have impressed me!!! I got a low mileage new looking and impeccably clean 2022 Jeep Compass. I was most concerned about the tire tread before renting but the tires looked brand new and handled very well in the mountain. It was a nightmare getting them to own up to this and help me return home with my family. We rented a Jeep Compass and drove it to the Washington coast. After I parked it, I noticed that both front tires were extremely worn on the inside tread, one so badly that the underwires were visible. Then I saw the rear driver side tire - it had a large crack in the sidewall. Needless to say, the car wasn't safe to drive my family back to Seattle, given the chance of 1 or even 2 tires blowing out. Kyte's response to this was comically bad. It took me multiple calls over two days to resolve this issue. Each time you call with an urgent issue, you are on hold for 20 to 30 minutes before talking with someone. Kyte first agreed to and then changed their mind about sending a new car. Then they asked me to find a tire shop and replace the tires at my own expense. No, not doing that. They finally agreed they would pay for it. Then, when I pointed out no tire shops were open on Sunday on the coast, they told me they were going to tow their car back to Seattle. Any plan for how I get my family back to Seattle? No. OK, then I'm pleading with them to NOT take the only mode of transportation I have. I finally got traction when I pointed out, again, that I was in a small town (Pacific Beach) without taxis, Ubers, or Lyfts. I have a 4 year old and a dog. There is literally no way to find another car. They finally sent another car, which arrived 2 hours late. The Kyte employee (not a Surfer) who delivered the replacement car confirmed I had not damaged the tires. He said they had missed the wear on the inside tire, because the recent tire audit had only looked at the tires from the midline out to the outer edge. (As an aside: Why in God's name are you not looking at the whole tire?) So, did they comp us the trip or give us credit on a future rental, given the nonfunctional car they provided? Nope. In fact, they charged us for the trip AND the deposit. In summary - Kyte doesn't maintain their cars to even minimum safety standards. If you get an unsafe car, good luck getting any support from them. And after they let you down, they will add additional charges to your trip. NEVER AGAIN.
