Went in to pick up a reservation for a full size car they didn't have one so they upgraded me to. An SUV, got in it and it smelled like puke. Service guy came out and said he told Mgr he couldn't get out smell, Mgr should have tried to rent it. Then he tried to give us a Jeep for a drive from FL to TX. No ruff ride for us. Back to MGR, asked to get a ride to another location for car. He said they couldn't do that. A car came in while we were at the desk and they gave us that car without cleaning it. An hour in the office before we got out of there. The MGR needs training and people skills. Will not go back to this location again !!!! read more

Reserved a mis size SUV a few days in advance, go to pick it up and get kind of runaround. They didn't have one. So they offered a versa. No. So then they say they can get original reservation if we go to other site. So we go. There they are obviously confused and they don't have it either. We are now an hour late to leave. Worse someone shows from this office but doesn't really communicate. So after like ten mins they return, and offer a corrola. Ok whatever. That car was a total dog. Worse it had its check engine light on, and the cruise control would not work. All they needed to do was call or text that they didn't have the car. Never again. read more

Customer service was top tier and made sure I was taken care of. Some issues arise with the vehicle but they handle it very professionally and made it right. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We rented a car here on 9/30/24, days after a hurricane hit the area. We reported that the car smelled terrible, but was told they didn't have any other cars so we took it and they noted the rental that we reported the odor. 4 months after returning the car, they billed our credit card $1000 to detail the car due to the odor. I called for two weeks straight, everyone promising someone would call me to clear this up. They never did. I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card company and won the appeal. I will never rent a car from Enterprise again! read more

Completely disgusted. Will never rent from Enterprise again. My husband rented a small car from Bradenton FL to Culman, AL. He had the vehicle for 24 hours. He drove it for 10 hours out of the 24. It was picked up by 2 Enterprise employees in Culman AL. Almost 2 months LATER we receive a call from our insurance company stating we are being charged over 5,700.00 for damages to the vehicle. It is impossible for everything they charged us to repair happened on a 10 hour drive. Those damages were existing! Most of them were small scratches, which we were told by the Asst. Mgr that they don't make notes on anything smaller than the size of a golf ball. It was noted on the paperwork that my husband signed, that there was a hole in the front driver side bumper. Apparently, Enterprise decided to charge us for everything! Having all the scratches painted, and the damage to the bumper. They even said the mirror had to be repaired, but no picture of what was wrong with it. Repair to the back bumper is also on the claim, but no pictures on what was wrong with it. We explained that this damage was already there, but it fell on deaf ears. They didn't care, we had insurance and they knew they would pay. I called the Enterprise office where we rented the vehicle and the asst. mgr. told me there was no record of any damage claims. We got screwed because we didn't take pictures of EVERY SINGLE SCRATCH OR DENT and believed the employee when we were told not to worry about the minor blemishes. It still didn't matter that the damage to the front bumper was already there prior to us renting the vehicle. We go stuck repairing that too. NEVER, EVER AGAIN WILL I USE ENTERPRISE! I WILL BE SCREAMING THIS FROM THE ROOFTOPS AND TELLING EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO RENT FROM ENTERPRISE. read more

I wrecked my car and had to rent a car. I always use enterprise. I called the 800 number and spoke with Getta on the phone. Since I was leaving for Colorado and did not need a car until February 20th I made a reservation through Getta. I told her that I did not want to go over what Allstate paid so she said she could give me a rental for 12.00 more a day and I told her that I wanted to stay within the limit of Allstate. Then she said how about a Volkswagen Jetta and I agreed. I returned home on the night of the 19th and I was very sick so I called to push my appointment back from 10:00 to 1:00. I was told that I did not have a Volkswagen Jetta and the price would be a different price than originally quoted price of about $4.00 a day. I was not very happy and stated that I would talk with the representative at the local enterprise when I got there. When I arrived I spoke with a very sweet understanding young man named Mike. He said he did not have a Volkswagen Jetta. He had two cars available but would cost me 3-4 dollars more a day. These two cars a Malibu and I forget the name of the other one but they were an upgrade from a Jetta. I did not want them because they set to low for me as I am 73 years old and I drive a CRV. I was not very happy being lied to twice about this before going to the location. Getta and the other gentleman that I spoke to to change my appointment time all work for Enterprise! They are your representatives and they speak for your company they are part of your team. I do not care where they are located they are answering your calls and they are your responsibility and they work for you! Mike was wonderful and I would give hima rating of 5 stars but NOT Enterprise due to the different pricing and being promised something that they could not deliver. Getta was the one that asked me if I would be happy with the Jetta. So why would she offer something she had no control over and she knew that. Not a good employee and doesn't make your company look good. I owned my own company for 29 years in Manatee County, if one of my employees misrepresented anything to a customer my company would stand behind what was offered. Your company apparently does not care about the customer nor what your employees are promising your customers. I ended up paying $10.47 a day extra but I was also told when I called in to see the exact amount that it was 12.02? Shouldn't all your employees being quoting the same price why the difference??? I do not understand all the difference between each employee? Something isn't right with this and I am not a very happy customer right now. I will say that you should commend Mike on doing such a great job with all this mess. He did an excellent job and was very pleasant despite my being upset with all the different answers that I was promised and getting from you 800 number employees, again not good business practices. Bobby is very unprofessional for a supposed store manager! We had a reservation to pick up at 11am and called an hour beforehand to make sure it would be ready. They assured us it would be cleaned up and waiting for us. We had a very specific time crunch and were hoping to be in and out as quickly as possible. When we arrived at 11:05 Bobby informed us "oh yeah... we still need to get that cleaned up for you." When I questioned him about why I was promised it would be ready when I called an hour ago he smugly said "we have the car...it's just not ready." Now it is noon and I'm still waiting. He didn't even offer any sort of an apology and now we are going to be very late for our event due to his complete incompetence. read more

Edited Would leave zero stars if possible. I'm still having to use this company due to an accident, not my fault. My truck wasn't totaled and parts are on back order, so I'm stuck with a rental for a couple of months and enterprise has been a nightmare. My first car with them was ok, but it was small and I didn't feel safe in it. I needed a truck. They didn't have one so I waited for one to come available. First truck sounded and felt like the transmission was going out. Then I got to work and fluid was leaking. When I called to tell them about it, the lack of compassion was instantly noticed. That has been their theme. They don't seem to care. Second truck I got was ok. But just two days after having been working they called saying they need it back because I was due for an oil change. They shouldn't of given it to me. I don't have a lot of time to waste. I'm a nurse and can't call off or leave as I please. Third truck, I'm in now smells strong of marijuana. I told them I don't want this truck before I left but the manager sprayed it with air freshener and said to bring it back in after Memorial Day if it still stinks. My son got a headache so bad he threw up. He cannot ride in it and I have to have the windows down. They called asking how much as my rental and I told them and she couldn't get off the phone quick enough. No compassion, whatsoever. I'm already stressed and displaced not having my truck. This just adds to the stress that I don't need. Companies like this are here to help out stressful situations. But they forget they are here to help people. Will never use them again. 6/1/23 I returned the truck that smelled like marijuana, it also had a screw in the tire that I had to keep filling. I had to take work off in order to go do this. I called 6 enterprises to find a truck. I go pick up the new truck, it smelled horrible of cigarette smoke! That was the only vehicle I could get with my insurance so I had to take it. Drove to the next enterprise hoping they had something, anything. I was willing to pay out of pocket at this point. They had a truck. I more used one that does have a foul smell, but at least is isn't smoke and an air freshener is covering up the smell, for now. Being that I need a rental for a long period of time, this is unacceptable. This has been so frustrating given I don't have a lot of time to spare going back and forth. My friend recommended Hertz and I wish I would of gone there. read more

Will never rent from this location, possibly any location, ever again. My daughter went in to pick up a car which was to be covered by our insurance due to an accident she was in. Your agent upsold her not only the vehicle but the damage waiver. He told her he needed her card for a $50 deposit but then charged her card $150 and overdrew her account. Yes she signed the contract, but she has never rented a car before and she was under the impression the insurance company would be paying for the car. She didn't know what she was signing and you knew that. You knew there was a $40/day limit, but hey, let's upsell the naive college kid and take her for literally every penny she has. When my insurance agent called you to tell you this was wrong, you said, hey she has to come in and deny the waiver. Well, she will be coming in alright, to return the car in the morning because we rather pay Uber than you for one more minute. Horrible horrible customer service. read more

Our flight got cancelled on Southwest Airlines, and my dad had to find a rental car to drive from Florida to Cincinnati Ohio. And the guy said they weren't doing one-ways. But, he said we could do a one-way for 400 bucks,so we did it. The really nice guy at the desk then took two hundred fifty bucks off and then he gave us an upgrade. We went from having a Nissan Rogue to Ford Edge which had a about a 12 inches screen up-ways. We saved money with Enterprise and probably, well DEFINITELY will be usinthen again. I have just excellent experience with this company. Especially William Miller. He made me feel extremely satisfied with Enterprise at all (all employees). It was a couple of times that I rented the car and all the time I am satisfied, but this is an extremely important situation to share and publish the review. I used this local branch to rent the car after the accident-total loss. I needed a car replacement for a longer time than usual. They gave me a nice clean car. A few weeks later I brought my new car from a different city, about 70 miles far from the original Enterprise location. I left this rental car in a dealership where I brought my new car. The dealership informed Hudson, FL Enterprise location, and no one picked up this car from the dealership for a couple of days. William Miller from the Bradenton location, where I picked up this car originally, solved this misunderstanding in an extremely short time and informed me about this situation. Car is right now back in good hands. Thank him and all of the people who work professionally. read more

If I could give this less than one star, I would. The car was dirty and beat up, it reeked of cigarette smoke, and it ended up being the most expensive weekly rental I've ever had. Since I paid with a debit card, I was treated like a third class citizen. I have rented with other Enterprise locations before, and this is by far the worst. The only redeeming aspect was the gentleman who gave me the ride to the office. A true gentleman. I do not recommend. read more

This store is understaffed. I created a corporate reservation over a month ago and the only vehicle they had for me was a pick up truck. My reservation was for a full size vehicle and I didn't feel comfortable driving across I4 in a truck. At that moment they didn't really have a solution, and I was allowed to walk out without any resolution other than cancelling my reservation. One of the employees came out and let me know a vehicle had just came in that I could take but it had limited fuel and needed to be cleaned up. There are many choices to rent a vehicle and I will elect to utilize alternate companies in the future. The employees were nice and respectful so I don't know if it was their fault or it is a flaw in their corporate system or structure. read more

Reserved a 15 passenger van on June 3 for pick up June 23. Was called to confirm the day before. Got there at the scheduled time for pick up. They did not have a vehicle. I was told to wait till one was returned? I was then asked to leave when the store was closing and they still did not have the vehicle. No compensation. No transportation. No apologies. Who does business this way? They will not be doing business with me or anyone I know in the future. Wish I could give less than one star. read more

We were referred to Enterprise @ 817 1st in Bradenton by our insurance company Allstate. Allstate paid for all but $2/day of the car rental. After I turned the car in, I got a charge on my Mastercard for over $500 for extra insurance that they claim I agreed to. I did not sign up for this, and I feel like the Enterprise agent pulled a fast one on me. This is like adding insult to injury, as we were not happy with the POS Jeep Liberty that they offered up @ this price point. I will never deal with this organization again, buyer beware! read more

During a heated phone conversation, I accepted the new terms and arrived for pickup. The employee then stated I was using a fraudulent credit card and refused to rent me the car. Enterprise needs to figure themselves out. Your entry level employee should possess integrity while exercising their daily duties. As a veteran I will ensure my peers understand the treatment I received and communicate the importance of never using this location. read more

Awesome experience!! I own a Jeep so driving it to Louisville would've cost me an arm and a leg. We rented a nice car with great gas mileage and ended up paying less than what we would've paid for gas in Jeep. They picked me up and drove me home when we returned. The team at this location is so friendly and helpful, not just the agent that was taking care of me, but literally everybody I encountered makes eye contact and says hello. I was having issues renting a car because I didn't have all my documents in order. They were patient with me and let me new know everything I needed to get. They helped me look for the best rates and even let me borrow their phone cord and charger when my phone was dying. I had a very different experience at another local Enterprise who was unable to help me at all, nor did they seem to care to. Everything worked out for the best because the Enterprise in 1st st. made everything such an easy process. That makes a huge difference especially considering so many people are getting a rental car because something happened to their transportation or some other stressful life event. I've rented from here many times, . They can pick up and drop off which is handy. What I like about this location, I'm not sure if this works at the airport for example, is they rent on a debit card, which is good for those of us that don't use credit. They put a hold on the rental amount for the car, using your debit card, and you have to bring in a copy of a current utility bill showing no past due amounts, also copy of latest pay-stub, ask for work address and phone, along with supervisors name. They ask for name and numbers for 3 references. That's it. The cars are good and the staff pleasant and efficient. All good experiences here so far. read more

I recently rented a Cargo Van from Enterprise. Or so I thought. I reserved the van online. In fact, I rented Cargo Vans for three rentals in the coming year. We're a small non-profit and need the vans for some special events we have coming up on our schedule. We need additional rentals as well in 2016, 2017 & 2018. I called the rental location a week and a half prior to my pickup day to confirm the van would be there. The Cargo Van was important, we were moving a lot of equipment and supplies. I arrived at 7:30am. I needed rent the van, load it and be on the road by 9am. When I arrived I was told there wasn't a Cargo Van available, would a truck work? I asked where the van was and they said that Fedex had them and hadn't returned them. I asked why someone didn't call me. They didn't answer. I explained a truck wouldn't work, some of the lighter things we were moving were in file boxes and would fly off the truck. She then asked me if I could use a "stow and go" passenger van where the seats folded down into the floor. Since it was all they had I looked at it. It was smaller, a lot smaller. It would be very tight. I said OK and we went to do the paperwork. Since we're a small non-profit, we use debit cards for everything, no credit cards. I went to give them the card and they said they needed additional documentation, my insurance card, and either a utility bill or a pay stub. I was never told I needed this documentation. I asked if I could use a computer. They let m access one, one with Internet Explorer 8. It was out of date; I couldn't get State Farm's website to work properly. I had to go home at that point and print out the insurance card and my pay stub. By this time it was now 9:30am and almost 10am when I got back to load up the van. We had a team of volunteers waiting for 2 hours to load the van. Never mind that we also had a team of volunteers in Orlando waiting for me for 3 hours to unload the van. We loaded the van and when it was packed we still had 4 boxes left. We were able to unload one box and place items from it in spaces. Unfortunately we needed everything and had to change what we were planning at the last minute leaving three boxes behind. The entire thing was a disaster. Everything was timed down to the minute. Volunteers were scheduled at the pickup and drop off locations who were kept waiting for at least two hours. The later time for the pickup resulted in needing the van for an additional day, incurring more charges than we had budgeted. The entire rental was a disaster. We're now looking for a company that has cargo vans onsite that we can expect to view in advance of our rentals and make sure they know our needs since Enterprise never went out of their way for us. read more

However, there were a few others trying to rent cars with debit cards who weren't able to do so. Enterprise should take that very fine print that defines how a person can rent with a debit card and highlight it to prevent unnecessary and unneeded surprises at the counter. read more

I've rented from here more than once and the service is always extremely slow. I rented a car and they knew I was coming, it wasn't ready and I sat there for over 45 minutes waiting. I'm not even sure they have a car for me to rent as there was questioning as to what was available and I was told to wait a minute. Another customer was in while I was there and they had to come back with their rental as the brake lights weren't working. I also watched one other customer wait at least 15min to return a car and they weren't acknowledged for quite some time. read more

This Enterprise location on 1st street in Bradenton was the absolute worst. Not only did they not have the vehicle I reserved or any vehicle at all for me, they were down right rude to me and my wife. The girls that work there are professional at one thing.....
