2025 Mustang Strong Unpleasant Cigarette Smoke. Honda requested not to give me a car where someone…read moresmoked in it. I only had it from Friday 4/3 - Saturday 2 pm 4/4. Sat I started with a rash between my breasts. Mind you at 66 I have never had a rash between my chest. By Sunday morning at 9:15 am I went to Urgent Care it was so bad. They said I had contact dermatitis. Today is 4/9 and it is still very bad. Nothing had changed in my life other than the smoke filled car rental where the seat belt crossed over my breast. I googled and sure enough it could have caused me to get contact dermatitis. Good Lord. Wish they could see the photo I took this morning. How a Smoking Rental Car Can Cause Dermatitis: * Thirdhand Smoke Residue: Nicotine, heavy metals, and carcinogens from cigarette smoke settle onto fabric, plastics, and metal inside a vehicle, which can trigger skin rashes and irritation. * Irritant Contact Dermatitis: Smoking in a car produces high concentrations of toxins. These pollutants can act as irritants, damaging the skin barrier and leading to inflammation. * Allergic Reactions: While less common than irritation, some individuals can develop an allergic reaction to specific compounds in cigarette smoke residue.

I have rented three vehicles from Enterprise in the last month:…read more1. I requested a luxury vehicle and was put into an SUV with less than a 1/4 tank of gas and a filthy windshield. When I stopped for gas after leaving the rental location I had to purchase windex to clean the interior. Somehow, I was still required to pay the rate for my luxury car after having been placed in an SUV. 2. I requested an SUV and was picked up in a Hyundai Tuscon that wreaked of marijuana. So bad that I had a headache by the time we reached the rental location. I immediately informed the rep and was put into a toyota camry and yet somehow charged an SUV rate for a sedan... When I turned on the car the service light came on. The rep went ahead an turned it off. Mind you on all of these rentals I am driving 15 roundtrip on a Saturday. 3. I requested a luxury car. The location called to confirm the night before. 10minutes before my scheduled pick up time, I got a call saying they did not have any luxury cars. They put my in a VW Taos with 36,000 miles, filthy seats, and an air bubble in the tire. Again, I was charged for a luxury vehicle and got a busted up small suv... To make matters worse not only did the vehicle have an unsafe tire, the windshield wipers barely touched the glass. When I returned the car, I was given a small discount and told the manager would call me the next day. I NEVER received a call, apology, etc. This feels like an absolute scam. I have paid for three vehicles and put into a lesser class of vehicle at the same price. I always book through costco and will be notifying Costco and Enterprise corp as well.

Don't rent from National @ SRQ…read more..... I had rented an Audi SUV from National @ TPA yesterday 5/22 w/ a drop off in SRQ scheduled for Sunday 5/25. The team in TPA was great. Yesterday the lock mechanism on the back passenger door of the Audi SUV malfunctioned and wouldn't unlock or lock. We realized this when we opened the back diver side door and the door locked and would not unlock to close the door. I immediately called National customer service / roadside assistance line and offered to take the car early back to SRQ and switch out the car. The customer service rep was great. He documented the situation and said he sent details to SRQ and would have a car there for me. After I drove 30 mins to SRQ, I arrived and told the person checking in cars about the situation and he said this requires a manager to view the car. My daughter and I overheard the conversation with the field person and the Manager (Andrew Delaqua) on the walkie talkie. Andrew immediately told the field person it was damaged and a claim needed to be filed. When Delaqua came outside to look at the car, I explained the situation and he immediately said it was my fault and I caused the damage. I explained that the car has a defect with the lock and asked how I could responsible for a mechanical issue with the car. He began immediately arguing w/ me and said I signed the contract so it's my fault. Again...I explained I signed a contract for a car that worked. This Audi doesn't work. He continued to raise his voice and told me to take the car back to Tampa and it's now my problem. I told him that I wanted to leave the car at SRQ and he said if I did it would be my responsibility. He then began mocking me and threated me by saying....."do something about it". When I asked Delaqua to speak to another manager, he said "I am the manager, just like my name tag says". I am an EXECUTIVE member and have been for many many years. No one should treat a customer like this. Other customers and employees saw this. Thankfully a nice National employee outside let me know that there was another manager inside named Greg, despite Delaqua saying he was the only manager. We had to go inside and to find Greg and he helped us.......not by telling me to go back to Tampa but by replacing the car w/ car that has doors that shut. Shout out to Greg for the help. Greg did mention that Audi would have to look at the car and confirm that the default in the door lock wasn't caused by me, which I have 100% confidence they will confirm. As an exclusive National rental car Executive member, I hope my complaint is taken seriously. Delaqua would be fired if he worked for me.
