When we arrived for pick up, the agent says that if we would have called, he would have said that he didn't have a car for us but because we were there already he would give us a very small vehicle. When we asked about an upgrade, he said he would charge us almost $100 more because he works off of commission pay, not hourly pay. We declined. He gave us a card to call him directly if we needed anything. I didn't like his service AT ALL so within 20 minutes of leaving, we tried calling back to learn the policy on returning vehicles right away. He never answered for the entire final hour, going straight to the national center, so we just kept the vehicle. When we came to return it on the scheduled day, he wasn't at the desk. He left a number to call when service was needed. It was the exact same number on the card and he answered right away. He said that he was charging us for an additional day because we were less than an hour late. Come to find out he closed the contract out 35 minutes before we even left the first time. (we arrived for drop off 20 minutes later than initial pick up) He lied and said it was the computer and there was nothing he could do. When we asked him about him sending the calls straight to the center, he said it was automatic...yet he had just answered the exact same line on the first ring! We called customer service and they refunded the additional day he tried to charge us. Overall, a horrible experience! I will never return to this location!

I don't rent very often and when I do it is usually a truck for moving. I was in between…read moreapartments and had to rent a truck twice, once to move from apartment to storage and another time to move from storage to apartment...You get the idea. My first experience here was really easy, the truck was $39.99 + Tax and suited all my needs. There was some confusion over my method of payment, they authorize a card for $250 for deposit then you get charged after the rental is returned for whatever the cost is plus mileage, gas, etc. The $250 then gets put back on your card, well in my case they accidentally charged my card, luckily they were able to refund it and there was really no harm done. My second experience was just as easy, I asked for the same thing I had a month ago and there was no questions asked. Once I payed I notice the rate is suddenly $49.99 + Tax. There is no price listing I can find on the web site and when I asked about the change I was told they just moved their rates on the 1st of the month. Seemed a little fishy to me especially since it was May 1st and I was specific in asking for the same thing I just had less than 30 days ago. I would think at the time i was filling out paper work before actually renting the truck someone would have mentioned, "Hey, by the way our rates changed starting this month and it is different from your last rental". I didn't really feel valued as a customer who came back twice in a month to rent equipment and was a little upset I wasn't informed about the change in price. I guess I will stick to my normal process for renting when I need to...Cheapest Option Wins.

AND my estimated cost of $95 was $244. I called customer service and they said there was nothing that could be done. The place I went to pick up the truck said budget overbooks "just like airlines". The only blessing in this is we were only moving 15 miles and were able to borrow a trailer and make many trips with our SUV. I couldn't imagine what happens to families who have the truck lined up to move across the country!!

I had a couple of unique situations with an Evie rental and she was able to make sense of my ramblings and give me some credit for my extra effort. New I went into Brookdale Honda for a car fob replacement…read more The service staff did a nice job, being pleasant and efficient. However, afterwards for days I felt harassed by the car salesman who kept calling or leaving text messages asking when I wanted more information about buying a 2026 Honda. I had never inquired about a new car or spoke to anyone about a new car. This guy insisted I did. I again corrected him and mentioned I was feeling harassed by him. He finally said, "This is what we are supposed to do." I replied "so you lied to me, because I never did ask about a 2026." I was informed this is a promotional strategy. I have never seen this before by a Honda dealership. I hope lying and harassment isn't part of selling a new car. There are other great Honda dealerships out there.
