Tommy Matthews and the Enterprise Edina team scammed me…read more When making the reservation, Tommy asked personal questions about the vehicle I normally drive so he could upsell me into a more expensive vehicle that was not covered by my voucher. Extremely inconsiderate of customer needs and only interested in selling a more expensive rental. The vehicle I was rented was covered bumper to bumper in damage when I picked it up. Hail damage all over. Scratches, dents, and dings all over. Missing hubcap. It was an embarrassing vehicle. When returning the vehicle Tommy asked me to explain the damage on the vehicle. The vehicle was covered in damage when I picked it up and Tommy began asking me to explain the damage that existed before I rented the vehicle. He prompted me with things like "Do you think a shopping cart might have hit the car here?" Tommy then reported the damages and Enterprise has been hounding me to pay for damage I did not cause for months. THANKS TOMMY! You set me up with a ruined vehicle and scammed me into a claims collection service that is now threatening me with letters, calls, and emails. GREAT SERVICE!! THANK YOU SO MUCH TOMMY MATTHEWS! Edit in response to Enterprise reply: I have done my part already in spending hours calling and emailing Enterprise on this issue. Your team and Tommy fabricated a damage claim on a vehicle that I received as damaged and stuck me with the fallout.

The keys were inside. We drove away without anyone from Hertz present to check the car for damage, etc. We had the car for 4 days without incident. When we returned the car a Hertz employee looked in and around the car, handed me a receipt and drove off. More than a month later, I received a bill for $2k and a letter stating I "returned the vehicle with damage or was involved in an incident." None of which is true. I called and was told the car had already been repaired but that the milage was the same when I return the car as when they took it to be repaired, which proved I had caused the damage. I would like to see pictures of what the car looked like when I picked it up, but was told there aren't any. I would like to know where the proof is that the car wasn't damaged before I received it or after I returned it. Maybe another customer backed into it when they were picking up their vehicle, or maybe the guy parking it after we dropped it off backed into something, or maybe it was damaged when I picked it up? Where is the proof of me damaging this vehicle???

I rented a car from Sixt at the MSP location from July 23-27. The car was decent, the pricing was…read morereasonable, and the check-in and pickup process was fast and efficient. Unfortunately, I had a major problem after returning the vehicle. On July 28, I received an invoice from Sixt for $614.25 for damage to the front passenger-side aluminum rim, described as a scratch. I am absolutely certain this damage did not occur while I had the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not think to take pictures of all four wheels when I picked up the car. When I contacted Sixt to dispute the charge, I was told that Sixt was not required to provide proof that the wheel was in perfect condition when I received the vehicle and that documenting the condition of the car was my responsibility. As a result, they refused to remove the charge. This is extremely frustrating. I have rented cars from many companies over the years, but I have never experienced a situation where I was charged hundreds of dollars for damage that I am confident was already present--and then told that the burden was entirely on me to prove otherwise. My strong recommendation: use extreme caution if renting from Sixt. If you do rent from them, I strongly recommend taking a video of the entire vehicle before leaving the lot, along with individual photos of all four wheels/rims and every part of the exterior and interior. Do not assume that any existing damage will be properly documented by Sixt. The initial rental experience was fine, but the way this damage claim was handled has completely changed my opinion of the company. I will not be using Sixt again.

Horrible rental experience. I spoke with Jimmy a week in advance on specific vehicle types I…read moredesired and was informed to call back of which I did a day prior to my rental drop-off. Enterprise showed up late to the drop off location and with another car that was much smaller than I am able to drive due to my height and back issues. Jimmy acted like because they were busy that permitted him to rent out the vehicle I specifically called and requested. No option was provided for me to make payment to solidify my exact reservation. The branch manager Jake then chimes in on the conversation stating that no specific car make or model could be guaranteed which is completely understandable, but this was never disclosed to me to any capacity by Jimmy beforehand. Enterprise dropped the ball big time and had to call around to other locations to find me a comparable vehicle which took an additional hour plus out of my schedule/travel time of my day. I would think twice and reconsider before renting from this specific location. I am loyal to Enterprise for my rental needs, but not loyal to inconsistencies with business practices in what is conveyed to customers versus what actually is company policy.

The horrible service came from a rental agent named MARISSA, who could not have been less helpful. I had pre-ordered a car with Sirius XM radio and navigation. When I arrived to pick up the car, I reminded Marissa that I had to have navigation as I was unfamiliar with the area and had quite a bit of driving to do. She assured me all cars had navigation. I told her I'm 72 years old and not very tech savvy, and sometimes need help figuring different navigation systems. She told me to google instructions. When I got to the car I discovered the Sirius radio and Navigation had not been activated. When I went back inside I informed Marissa of the problem. She could not be bothered and told me to call Customer Service. I asked for the Customer Service number and she told me it was on the paper work she gave me (which I had left in the car). She slammed the paper with customer service number on the counter. clearly irritated. Thinking I might be able to find my way to my first destination I asked for directios to Hwy 169, which I knew was near. She said she wasn't from the area and didn't know where anything was. I said, given her job, she might want to familiarize herself with the area. She snapped back, "I don't have to know that!" She then said she wasn't going to deal with me anymore and went into the back room. I was on the phone for an hour with a very pleasant woman who ultimately could not get the navigation actived, hard as she tried. I then decided I needed to try to find a car elsewhere, and needed to cancel the Budget reservation. I was assured I would not be charged a cancellation fee. After returning the key to Marissa she immediately billed me $120. Fortunately there was an ENTERPRISE branch 5 blocks away. The agent there, DAN, could not have been more helpful and I was able to rent a car which met my needs. To be fair, when I got home I called Budget Customer Service and spoke to a very helpful guy named NELSON who promptly arranged for a refund.

Premature Wear of SofTex Backseat Material - 2022 Toyota Venza…read more After contacting Walser Toyota in Bloomington, Minnesota on American Blvd W, I contacted the Toyota Brand Engagement Center. I wrote the following complaint to them: I am writing to report a concern regarding the SofTex upholstery in my 2022 Toyota Venza. The backseat SofTex material is tearing and peeling, despite the vehicle having only 22,878 miles and being used under normal driving conditions. I am the sole driver of this vehicle, and the backseat has experienced minimal use. SofTex seats are marketed as durable and long-lasting; however, I have since learned that other owners of 2022 Toyota models have reported premature wear of SofTex seating. While SofTex is generally easier to maintain than leather, there are documented concerns regarding its longevity and resistance to material failure. I initially reported this issue in person to Walser Toyota Bloomington, MN on American Blvd W on Monday, June 2, 2025, and followed up in person two additional times. On each occasion, I was assured that someone would contact me, but no follow-up occurred. I later contacted Jackson H. on December 18, 2025, and I did receive a call back with the suggestion that buying seat covers is a good solution. As I am still making payments on a nearly new vehicle, being told to purchase seat covers to address premature upholstery failure does not align with Toyota's claims of quality, durability, and excellence. Given the low mileage, limited backseat use, and my longstanding confidence in the Toyota brand, I believe this issue reflects a material defect rather than normal wear and tear. I respectfully request that Toyota review this matter and advise on repair, replacement, or coverage options, whether under warranty or through goodwill consideration. I received the following reply from the Toyota Brand Engagement Center. We understand you reported this issue to the dealer on 6/2/25 and 12/18/25. However, our records do not show any inspections by a Toyota dealer related to the wear on your back seat. If our records are incorrect, please upload the repair order showing the diagnosis for your vehicle. I probably will never buy another Toyota again.
