I made the reservation weeks ago and selected "Manager's Selection" before I knew it would be snowing when I arrived in April. Upon arrival, they insisted on trying to upcharge me $60+ for an AWD vehicle even though their own website and others were suggesting SUV rentals would be less expensive than what I was originally charged. Most rental car companies would insist on upgrading me after selecting "Manager's Selection" when snow was newly on the forecast and AWD vehicles were on hand. The manager proceeded to argue with me by saying that I could book online but I'd have to wait hours for my new reservation to come through their system! She also consistently lied to me saying that the price online was actually more expensive than what I paid. I eventually booked online elsewhere and saved $100 but had to shuttle back to the airport. Will never rent here again.

Once you get checked in then you get on a shuttle bus and go to the other side of the airport. (Same exit as Mall of America but north) Once there they bring you your car. Ours was a new Subaru Forester. (This was slow, it took at least 30 min.) Returning the car was easy & fast. And the total bill was more than $100 cheaper than the big car rentals. I'd recommend it!

Unfortunately, I had a major problem after returning the vehicle. On July 28, I received an invoice from Sixt for $614.25 for damage to the front passenger-side aluminum rim, described as a scratch. I am absolutely certain this damage did not occur while I had the vehicle. Unfortunately, I did not think to take pictures of all four wheels when I picked up the car. When I contacted Sixt to dispute the charge, I was told that Sixt was not required to provide proof that the wheel was in perfect condition when I received the vehicle and that documenting the condition of the car was my responsibility. As a result, they refused to remove the charge. This is extremely frustrating. I have rented cars from many companies over the years, but I have never experienced a situation where I was charged hundreds of dollars for damage that I am confident was already present--and then told that the burden was entirely on me to prove otherwise. My strong recommendation: use extreme caution if renting from Sixt. If you do rent from them, I strongly recommend taking a video of the entire vehicle before leaving the lot, along with individual photos of all four wheels/rims and every part of the exterior and interior. Do not assume that any existing damage will be properly documented by Sixt. The initial rental experience was fine, but the way this damage claim was handled has completely changed my opinion of the company. I will not be using Sixt again.

    - Hertz at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport…read more Overall, I had a decent experience renting from Hertz at MSP. I reserved a Toyota Camry Hybrid but was assigned a Hyundai Elantra Hybrid instead. I understand that rental companies generally guarantee a vehicle class rather than a specific model, but the Elantra was noticeably smaller and sat much lower to the ground than a Camry. At 6'6" with knee problems, getting in and out of the car was uncomfortable. Interestingly, even my shorter friends, who are around 5'8" to 5'9", commented on how low the vehicle was and said getting out of it made them sore as well. So while the car itself operated fine, it was not the most comfortable option for our group. As a President's Circle and Gold member, the pickup process was otherwise convenient. My name was displayed on the board, and I was able to walk directly to the vehicle without stopping at the counter. The signage in the garage was a little confusing. The overhead signs appeared to stop at one range of space numbers, while a separate floor sign pointed toward the higher-numbered spaces. I missed that sign initially and had to ask an employee for directions. The employee was helpful and told me to continue farther down the lane, where I eventually found the car. Before leaving, I took detailed photos of the exterior and close-up pictures of any existing damage. This was the first Hertz location I had visited where vehicles passed through the newer automated light-scanning system upon return, so I was especially glad I documented the condition beforehand. I returned the vehicle at approximately 5:00 a.m. Several cars had accumulated in the return area overnight, and no attendant was present to inspect or check in the vehicle at that time. About five hours later, I received an email confirming the return, and there were no unexpected charges. Overall, the rental process was reasonably smooth. The replacement vehicle and garage signage were not ideal, and I have had slightly better Hertz experiences at other airports, but nothing about this rental would prevent me from using Hertz again.

As a Gold Member, I went directly to the Gold desk, picked up my assigned truck, and drove to the exit booth. The employee at the exit had difficulty checking me out because, as he explained, the truck had not been properly entered back into your system or there was some other issue with the reservation. He asked another employee at the booth for help, but instead of resolving the problem professionally, she responded with an attitude. I told them they needed to fix the issue because I was not going back to exchange trucks or start the process over when the problem was clearly on Hertz's end. The employee then called a manager, who apparently made some changes over the phone. After several minutes, the exit booth employee was finally able to check me out, and I was allowed to leave. The entire situation was very embarrassing. Cars were piling up behind me while everyone waited, and I wasn't even the only customer experiencing this issue. There was a vehicle ahead of me that appeared to be going through something similar. Unfortunately, this is not an isolated experience. I have encountered similar problems at other airport Hertz locations as well. The level of customer service has declined significantly, and it seems that employee training is lacking. Customers should not have to deal with delays, confusion, and unprofessional attitudes because of internal system or operational issues. As a Gold Member, I expect a much smoother rental experience. I hope Hertz will address these recurring problems, improve employee training, and ensure vehicles are properly processed before customers arrive.

BDC Management is now working under the name Trellis Management and I want to share my opinions…read moreabout how the Trellis Management Team actually works the are quick to post threatening statements in order to make a person feel uncomfortable such as the building is a section 42 and that means the tenants have to have certain rental criteria to sign a lease agreement such as be below a certain level of income now knowing that trellis is a not for profit property management company due to the dot org at the end of their published contract information one would think they would not be as greedy and outrages when a tenant has a issue such as the one I have today my dog got sick in the middle of the night and I somehow misplaced my keys in my house so I call the manager and they don't answer so I call back a few minutes later and they answer then I ask if they can help me out with the issue I have cause my dog has a vet visit I ask them if I can please borrow the extra set of keys cause I have worked in the construction industry all my life I know that when a building is certified for occupancy that a one bedroom apartment has a occupancy limit of two people who each gets a key and if only one person is a lease holder the other set of keys goes into a key locker every single building I've ever been a maintenance or construction worker at has at least one extra key it's an industry standard so I say that to the management and they say that it will cost me one hundred dollars to get a key fob they cost a few dollars to get one replaced but trellis again is not the nonprofit they claim to be cause they will not give in and comport themselves with any sense of empathy or sympathy and if they let you in they charge $75.00 dollars to do that and then let me tell you about the other issues at East-Town apartment on 9th Ave So. They have an attached underground parking garage it has several security cameras and the cars are broken into on a predictable regular basis they will not help you with the security footage cause they have to protect the criminal he has the right to privacy you have to pay for the chance of getting the windows broken out of your car and the card reader system that lets you in and out of the garage is flaky to say the least and they are supposed to be of assistance but they always do the least amount of anything that they can possibly do I guess the for profit nonprofit is really just a prejudice ruse that I think everybody should avoid being treated like they are a source of money cause they don't care about the fact that they are the ones who are renting to lower income people who don't have much extra money since greed flation has become a reality in many people's lives just do yourself a favor and don't even bother with the property management company Trellis cause they genuinely don't care if you are locked out or can't get your car out of the garage cause the owner is a church where they are diverse loving concerned about the welfare of the community around them but they keep getting a property management company that doesn't want to do anything about nothing but price gouge the living Snoot out of the people who are paying their bills now I am sure that I can figure out what I did with my keys but between now and then they are not going to be able to do anything until I give them the money that if I could give them my money I would but I'm currently working on getting some certifications for my job and I'm only getting paid half my salary until I get done with this new training that is being paid for by my job so money is slightly tight at the moment and I was hoping to be able to sign a new lease for a year cause I like the location of the property but the management company makes me feel like they don't want me to do that because they don't value my money so eventually I'm going to be moving to a different place and hopefully the problems that trellis fosters don't follow me to the next place I live I have lost my willingness to live in a building that has a greedy non responsive onsite management company and one last thing the corridors are air conditioning but they don't want the corridors to be tempature controlled they turned off all the ac for my floor I have asked for them to fix it but they claim that the part is not available yet several times a week I see brand new buildings that are able to fix issues like this cause I'm a HVAC installed service person so they are embellishing the fact that the parts are not available if the parts are not working correctly then they should try to replace it with a different brand there for sure is parts that can be used to turn on the air I mean when you open the door and walk into the corridors it's like getting punched cause the air is stale and it is hot as h e double toothpicks and management doesn't have the ability to turn on the air
