Susan M. 24 days ago Maintain their vehicles! Let me say this first: I was renting, NOT testing cars I might to buy. While MY car was in the shop, I had to exchange my rental FOUR times Not in chronological order. 1* Rear seat belt sensor was bad an alarm kept going off EXCHANGED 2*Pulling out of my driveway and I went to go forward-transmission/engine felt like it dropped, resisted going forward. No alarm went off, no brake/braking assist was on. Stopped, turned off the car and restarted....same issue. EXCHANGED 3* carpet lifted, dirty a plus included it smelt like vomit and marijuana. Not good when I was going on Military Bases (note Federal doesn't recognize CA state law) 4*EXCHANGED 4*ABS sensor alarm kept going off with dash message may not brake ..EXCHANGED 5 an final car was fine. 683505 E Palm Canyon & next to PS Airport & in PS Airport. Good luck. To Enterprise Management team. To validate my review: Caliber Collision on Perez by Gerber you can verify with them. Also USAA team that's handling the list. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - My 2024 Mazda CX30 - Car Rental Near Me - Cathedral City, California

The rental agent was rude, impatient and ignored my request for a car that was black. I would have paid extra but he took the next person in line and handed him the car and upgraded him for free! I was getting a USAA agent for my reservation code. It only took a few minutes but he refused to let me get it. There was only one person behind me and he just walked in the door. The other counter agent was free to help him. He passed out keys even to the other agent ahead of me and gave me the remaining small black car. I was exhausted and very disappointed. I then burned my hand on the black handle to the car. It was painful until the next day. I told the manager but wasn't feeling well so a few days later I exchanged the car at the location near the airport. I am 77 years old and have done customer service my whole life. Exception to the rule: Rental companies are known for being horrible and trying to nickel and dime you but this definitely wasn't my experience with this location. They were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be renting from them for now on. read more

As expected, I went to the suggested website, provided my information, and nothing happened. I also called customer service and provided my information to the person who answered that phone but again... the promised response never happened. Obviously, they do not care about their customers. I can't help but wonder if they knew all along they did not have a car and took my reservation anyway. Next up for me, complaints with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, the California Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau. There should be some consequences for misleading the public. read more

I have been renting a vehicle from this branch since December 13, and despite repeated attempts, it has been impossible to reach anyone by phone. I am left questioning whether the branch is even staffed. It is particularly ironic to hear the recorded message repeatedly claim: "We promise to put you first! Continuously innovating--always going the extra mile..." If this is the standard of "putting customers first," it is failing miserably. Answering the phone and providing basic support would be a far more effective way to honor that promise. This level of service is unacceptable, and I expect immediate attention to address my rental and any outstanding issues. read more

This place is a a mess. I've tried renting three times here in six weeks. Twice they didn't have cars when I had reserved it and couldn't say when they would be available. The third time I'm trying t to return and the line is to the door and there is only one person who is doing any thing to help. Three strikes is enough. read more

Horrible experience at this Cathedral City location due to incompetent employees and bad management. Reserved a car from here for Dec 30th at 9am.  Called before driving there to confirm car was there and ready to go. Spoke with Rocky who said they didn't currently have any cars available and they were bringing some from LAX.  She said the cars should arrive within the next 1 - 2 hours and she would call me once they arrived .  I was making a 7 hour drive and wanted to get on the road ASAP. I waited an hour and no call.  I waited another hour and still no call.  It's now 11am and I tried calling the branch multiple times and they never picked up the phone.  Frustrated and wondering what was going on, I called the main reservation number to speak with someone about getting the car I reserved. Apparently, they couldn't do anything but take my complaint and escalate it internally and assured me the regional manager would be contacting me shortly.  It was now 12pm and there still was no call from the regional manager or the branch itself.  I understand it's a busy time of year for renting cars, but it's unacceptable to not have called me first thing in the morning to inform me there was a shortage of cars. Then to add insult to injury, Rocky straight up lied to me and never called me back when the cars supposedly did arrive. They totally ghosted me. I decided at 1pm that it was already too late to start the long drive back home, so I made the decision for my wife and I to fly back, which cost considerably more then what the rental car would've cost. Almost 10 days have passed and I still have not heard anything from Enterprise management. No apology, no compensation, nothing. I called the local branch when I got back home and spoke to Chad and explained the situation and he said his manager, Matthew, would be reaching out to me to discuss.  Never heard from him either. Is this the way Enterprise treats their customers?  I have rented from them numerous times in the past and never experienced such poor customer service.  I understand car shortages can arise at busy times of the year, however there is no excuse to not communicate with your customers and leave them stranded.  I had a confirmed reservation and that's a binding contract.  If they would've called me first thing in the morning and gave me a heads up that they are currently out of cars and there is no guarantee they can get me one, then I would've made alternate plans at that point and this wouldn't have turned into such a frustrating experience. Is this because I'm not an Enterprise plus program member and only rent occasionally that they feel this doesn't need to be addressed?  It's quite shocking to me that such a large company that I've always given my business to treats their customers this way. Obviously, they overbooked and maybe hoped some people wouldn't show up, but it's still no excuse.  Enterprise handled this very poorly and made no effort to make things right. read more

I guess I should give them zero stars but that does not appear to be an option. I called them 3 times over 2 days - waited 15 minutes listening to their automated system tell me how important I was to them and each time after waiting 15 minutes an automated voice came on the line and said no one can be reached and hung up on me!! That was 45 minutes wasted trying to reach someone! Absolutely horrible service!!! I wonder how they even stay in business! read more

if I could give a score of Zero, I would. I had a reservation for my rental. The guy couldn't find it in their system. So I gave him the information. He couldn't figure out how to enter the information. He called his manager, Matt, who tried to tell the guy how to enter the information. So now we have to wait for Matt. Matt came in and the information finally gets entered. Now I go out to the rental and we do the inspection. Then he says there is a $100 refuncable deposit needed. Why, I ask, because the rental is covered by my insurance, and why wasn't I informed of this? I had just filed a fraud claim on my debit card before going to Enterprise so I did not have access to my funds. I didn't have enough on my credit card and my bank app wasn't working on my phone. I called my son and asked him to come pay the deposit. After I hung up Matt, the manager, asked me if my son was on my policy. No. They can't accept his card. I asked why not. "Company policy" is the only answer I got (I did get an explanation from the employee who handled the rental return). I broke down sobbing. Not crying. Sobbing. I them realized I could call my bank and transfer my funds to my credit card. So, 3 HOURS LATER I hand the guy my card and told him to charge the $100. Then he said it's more than $100. ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME I?!?! $103.81. I went.i will never use Enterprise again, nor will I ever refe anybody to them. I was promised a certain vehicle through the phone and upon getting there a worker stated they had the promised vehicle. Manager then pulls up and seems nice and pulls up my info. The says I have a Highlander getting ready for you. I told him that's too small for me and my 3 car seats. He then proceeded to say okay I'll try to get another. Still telling worker to clean Highlander(after I clearly said no thank you). He proceeded to keep looking but then states I'll put you in the Highlander now but in a few hours, I'll call you to give you another vehicle. Never called me once. Few days later, i called and worker remembered me and said let me ask him. Again no call, I called twice after and no answer. I would of appreciated a simple call even to say I tried to get you a bigger car but I was unable to. That would of gone a long way. read more

I wanted to tell you about a great experience after my initial wait for a car as the one I had reserved was not returned. so a young man drove out to Indio from Cathedral City and brought back a car for me to have. then when I returned the car Vivian checked it in and answered any questions. I also called her about my refund as I turned it in a day early and she was so nice on the phone. everyone working at this office was so helpful. read more

I've done multiple rentals from this location and every experience has been stellar. Very friendly staff who are easy to work with and their car selection has always been able to meet my needs. They aren't open on Sundays and I believe that their after hours drop off times are limited so plan accordingly if those are issues for you, or use the Enterprise Palm Springs Airport location. Otherwise, this location is very capable of getting you a vehicle that fits your plans and schedule. Always a pleasure doing business here. read more

From the moment we walked in the door Matthew had every excuse in the book as to why our vehicle was not available. We booked a jerp wrangler and the only options were ugly little commuter cars that looked like they had been parked for.months. He continued to make excuses when we asked to speak to the manager Naomi that we spoke to originally. Matthee then said that she was his assistant manager and NOT IN. I then asked if he could get her on the phone, to which he replied, hewouldn't do that. The Jeep that we wanted was not available, and there was only 2 other cars available and in filthy condition. While we were standing at the desk debating as to which dirty car we were going to take, another customer walked in stating their car was not working.. We were in a time crunch, so when we finally decided on a vehicle we were going to take,he then told us it was gonna take him longer because he had to clean the vehicle and get ready to go. I told him we would take it to get washed but we really had to go, but AGAIN another delay, to which he replied,"I cant allow that, I have to do my process" AGAIN ONE EXCUSE AFTE,R ANOTHER that delayed us unnecessarily. Nothing about our reservation was honored so I don't understand why they do it online.Everybody should just walk in and face the mess.It was a s***show. read more

It's a long story, but Gayle and I unexpectedly needed a car rental for 2 days after arriving in Palm Springs last week. We didn't think of it before we landed at PSP, and it was only over Lunch (that we walked to) that we realized that life would be much easier (and cheaper) if we rented a car. Remembering that Enterprise had neighborhood outposts, I discovered that one existed via a 15 minute walk down Palm Canyon Drive. So I called up Enterprise, which turned out to be a Corporate number under the local listing. I confirmed a reservation for a Compact car, from which Gayle and I hoofed down to this Enterprise Rent-A-Car location within what looked like "Auto Row". The price wasn't cheap, but it turned out to be a bargain compared to the drives we took this car on during those 2 days. Having worked for a big corporation for many years, I'm well aware that there is often a disconnect between the central office and the folks on the ground (who actually do the work and often unfairly get the blame if something goes wrong). Such was the case here, when the person who helped us acknowledged the reservation, but mentioned that he didn't have a car for us at that point in time (as Corporate had no information on local inventory). Gayle and I were kind, but firm in our subsequent discussions. I stayed friendly because I had been where they had been before and admired how well Enterprise staff was handling an issue where they'd been many times before. But, I'll give Gayle majority credit for quoting a Seinfeld episode saying that you could "take" the reservation, but they don't know how to "hold" the reservation (or something like that). Everyone in the room saw the episode and got the joke. And before we knew it, a Compact car came in on Return, we signed the iPad paperwork, and we were on our way. We retuned the car a couple days later in the care of a new crew, who treated us equally well. They even let us keep our luggage in the car until Erin and Jim picked us up. read more

Rude, arrogant, condescending. Dont recommend. Id rather walk or take the bus. Aside from their offensive attitude they are clearly promoting insurance fraud by encouraging customers to keep a car longer than needed for work to be completed. Complete scam artists. They refused to give me a car within insurance policy limits and demanded I pre pay a week in advance plus double the normal deposit. Despite what they told me before they picked me up. I declined. So they left me stranded in the cold. When I complained so they had a store clerk down the street pretend to be an Uber take me home. This could be dangerous for single women - fake ubers .and drug users in the parking lot. (No Uber sign and no uber app, still had his AM/PM shirt on as he took a 15 minute break to help out Enterprise and pretend to be an Uber). Stay away from these crooks. Now I cant even get my car repaired today because of these fraudsters not honoring their agreement with All State Insurance. I read other reviews where they do this a lot to people. Refuse to give you one of the available cars on the lot and coerce you to advance pay for an upgraded car. Most people cave in because they are already there on the lot. read more

After an accident last Friday, it took until today for my car to finally be towed to the body shop that would be doing the repairs. The insurance company played around for 4 days knowing where the car was and where to tow it for repairs. I had a reservation at Enterprise in Cathedral City since Monday, but I waited all week to try to save my insurance company the extra money for useless rental days. When I did get to Enterprise, the incredible Branch Manager Sean was able to get me into a car that I fit and got me on the road. I'm 6ft 3inches and 250 pounds so a smaller interior car just doesn't work for me. Sean went out of his way to make sure that the car he selected was something I would fit in! I will not consider another rental agency as long as Sean is there! Thanks Sean. read more

I tryed to rent a car from this location 2 day ahead of when I need to make an opponent in Kansas area. I was told be app that my rental xar would be ready by 5pm. Now when I called them about 330pm we were told that the rent car was unavailable and would not be able p gets us one until Monday which mind it impossible to make my Friday opponent. Enterprise made no attempt to help us rectify the situation even though we called your 800 number on the app and talk to three different locations in order to try to get a vehicle once we were put to the airport location we were told that we could get it resolved vehicle but we would have to have a major credit card and put a $400 security deposit on the credit card with no way of splitting it with a credit card to a debit card which made it impossible for me to rent the vehicle. Which ultimately cost me a $400 game plus the opportunity of making an additional $10,000 which according to their spokesperson who I talked to you this morning stranger things have happened but I'm not going to hold my breath at this point in time I would recommend everybody in the known world to stay the hell away from Enterprise rental cars Rent-A-Car would like to contact me to discuss this otherwise I'm just going to tell everybody I know not to rent from Enterprise ever. read more

While he was unable to fix my poor experience at another Enterprise location from earlier in the week, he was very apologetic and tried to make a wrong right. Huge reason for the 5 star review is the gentlemen named Mack he gave me a ride a couple times after dropping off my rental and he is always so nice and friendly he is the defintion of customer service and always provides a 5 star experience. As we all know and have experienced, when you book a rental car, you know that you are going to be given the lousiest most available car on their lot. This is a beef that I have with both the Audi Dealer and Enterprise. I asked my service advisor for the best location with the best high quality amount of cars to choose from and I was directed to this location. Maybe I was in a mood that day, and maybe I wasn't smiling or full of warm fuzzies. I probably wasn't as I am experiencing the process of going through difficult repairs on an already very expensive car. The enterprise facility, this one, this location, sent someone to pick me up from the dealer and take me to the car lot. As soon as we drove into the lot, I knew that an equivalent decent car in my car class was not going to be possible. I was talked into the Q ( wait a minute .. what is this car called ?? ) the Q60. Just by the look of the suspension and wheel base on this thing, I knew it wasn't right for me. It's the holidays, "all vehicles are rented"... this is what everyone is telling me. Okay! I get that. All the BEST vehicles are gone and I am going to be left with the crumbs. Great. Without further ado, allow me to describe this rental vehicle to you... It's like driving a dirigible airship that all of a sudden grew training wheels , Its a bouncy-ball of bouncy-balls as one would experience on a bumper car track, It's like being in a cockpit where none of the buttons are in the right place...as you "careen" around the sharp tidle wave of getting into a parking space. In other words, it is one of the worst vehicles I have ever driven. After calling, and "writing", and driving, and showing up unannounced, and leaving my number with the boy who initially picked me up and then steered me into this car, I finally found a resolution to the matter and had to go to another town 30 minutes away to get a vehicle that doesn't mock my sense of what's right/correct. Book with Turo instead. You will be a lot happier. read more

As I was driving through a parking lot, a woman backed into my car. It was still drivable but I could no longer open the front passenger door. So her insurance company had me drop off my car at a collision repair shop. While there I decided to call Enterprise, and within 30 minutes they sent someone to pick me up and drive me back to Enterprise. I waited only a few minutes before someone helped me at the counter. The insurance company told me everything would be fully covered. But to my shock, they wanted a $50 deposit in order for me to get a car. They told me they did not accept cash. I was shocked again. The money in my wallet was worth nothing at this place of business. I had two credit cards and since it was at the end of the month, my cards were pretty much maxed out. I did not have $50 on either one of them. I tried over and over to negotiate and ask if they could put a little on one and the rest on the other. They said they could not do that. I was at a loss and very frustrated because the accident was not my fault and this should have been covered by the insurance company but was only charged and accepted by the customer. I felt defeated, not knowing what to do. A manager named Eddie came over to me and I explained that it was the end of the month and that I did not have a total of $50 combined on both of my credit cards. He felt very bad for me and said that he would authorize $1 on my small credit card and $30 on my other card. I agreed. He also assured me that my money would be refunded within three days of the car rental return. He was very kind and I felt much better. I really want to commend Enterprise for having a kind, sincere manager. He is an asset to your company for sure. When I returned with the rental car nineteen days later, he remembered me and personally helped me with the return. He was gracious and humble. The only reason I am giving this business four stars is because of him, the quality of the rental car, and the wonderful drivers who picked me up and dropped me off at the collision shop both times. read more

Only enterprise that doesn't take debit cards for standard SUVs and Trucks. I even called corporate and she commented how its odd. Staff did not believe me when I showed that I had rented an SUV and Truck AT THIS EXACT LOCATION within the last year using a debit card. I'm trying to pay you nearly $1k for your branch to rent a car as an Enterprise Gold member (meaning i rent almost 80 days of cars a year) I call corporate, they find me a reservation at PS non Airport for $80 less. From day one , I could surmise from the person who picked me up at my location , Palm Springs Motors , his name was Mac , very courteous, and polite , that I chose the right Enterprize location ! This wonderful service continued with Mia , she explained the procedure with the rental which took no time at all and I was on my way ! I met the manager on my return two days later and he was very polite, courteous, and personable ! Mac was there to take me back to Palms Springs Motors. Mia was there to check me out and again I was on my way. The experience at this particular Enterprize at 68350 E. Palm Canyon Dr., Cathedral City is the best !!! read more

They filed a claim through my insurance over an existing dent in the hood. The car was obviously not in a collision and I live in a gated community with minimal foot traffic this time of year. Completely bogus and my insurance is going to go up because of this. Thanks. read more
