Luis was all too happy to bill me for miultiple cars per day, even though they were broken(check engine light on, loss of power). You would think after five weeks of this they would apologize or offer compensation. Luis actually inferred that I was to blame for the car issues. All I all I should have been charged $1.585.00 but to date I have paid $2,360.00. It is impossible to talk to someone on the phone at Hertz, there is barely a customer service department. I lost multiple days work because of the condition of these cars and actually was charged more than the weekly trade. What a scam. Rent from somewhere else.

They pick you up from the airport, so there is NO LINE to stand in. Your paperwork is awaiting you as is your car, and the guys transferred all of our luggage just apparently automatically. And when we returned, it was to a friendly smile, a wave, and they remembered who we were. You just don't see this in the car rental business, and we rent a lot of cars. Either he can't read, or he just doesn't care. His solution? I could drive 45-90 minutes (depending on traffic) the next day to swap cars, or maybe they'd bring me one. Zero accountability, zero customer service. He even told me to "call his manager" rather than bothering to fix his own mess. Why is it my job to chase down his boss after I've already been ripped off? And as the cherry on top, I had to pay $12 just to get out of the parking lot. They offered to reimburse me, but at that point, I was so disgusted I refused. This place is a total scam operation--unprofessional, disorganized, and run by people who shouldn't be in business. On arrival no convertible! The owner said it's summer they're hard to get?? You had six months to have a car in place. Obviously this guy takes convertible orders but has no intentions of ever having any on the property (what a scam) informed us we could take a car here and simply drive over to the airport location and swap cars. So if we drove to the airport to switch cars. On arrival the airport Avis are obviously aware of his scam and had no intentions of swapping a jeep for a must and convertible ..... long story short do not deal with this scam of an Avis location, no morals whatsoever, on reaching yelp sadly we are not the first, or I'm sure the last!

I was given a final bill and paid it on the spot. So far, so good. When I got home and checked my VISA bill, I saw Enterprise had charged me an additional $457.72 for dropping off my car at the Santa Barbara Airport on January 4th @ 7:59 pm... two days into our 10-day vacation in Palm Springs. Further, their records show I re-rented the exact same car back at the Palm Springs airport...at the exact same time and date, January 4th @ 7:59 pm. The problem being I never dropped off the car in Santa Barbara. Hell, I've never even been to Santa Barbara. Enterprise's own records have me at two different places at once, 217 miles apart, Santa Barbara to drop off the car and Palm Springs to pick up the same car. They never emailed me a bill. They just charged my VISA card with no notification to me.... whereas all other reservations and charges are always emailed to me. So far, not so good. In the past 3 weeks, I've talked to five different Enterprise customer service representatives. All have said a manager will contact me from Palm Springs Airport. Never happened. I then filled out and sent in two different customer complaint forms from their webpage. I even "chatted" with a customer service representative. All are unerringly polite. However, three weeks later Enterprise still has my $457.72 and is still bouncing me to the "manager" at the Palm Springs Airport.... whose phone number is nowhere to be found and who is, I imagine, relaxing, cocktail in hand, at a beach front condominium in Santa Barbara.

I called three more times over the next few hours. Still no answer. Your reservation notes state you will stay open up to two hours after closing if a flight is late. I relied on that. When I arrived at 11:45 p.m., there was no one there. Not a single employee. The Avis desk confirmed this is routine and that your location is usually the first to leave. This has a reputation with airport staff as well. An Alaska employee confirms that his team is awful. That says everything. I was left stranded with no support. I had to order an Uber Black to handle my luggage and paid $60 to go a few blocks. That cost and inconvenience sit entirely on you. This is the worst experience I have ever had. Fix your operations or expect people to rent elsewhere.

Not difficult to exit no gates no one checking your ID . they check your ID when you pick up the car at the counter, which was a very long wait. Even though the parking lot is small, they should have a way of offering the president circle or at least the gold club standard where you could just pick up your car cause it's already a confirmed reservation.
