Then out of no where, like a whilwind Mr. Jinks swooped in on a freshly washed car for one of the customers. This man took care of the first gentleman, the next 2 ladies with a van, then took care of us just as an impatient man came up behind us 5 min after they closed, he smiled and took care of the late man as well with no complaints and always with a positive attitude. This mans work ethic makes me want to come out of retirement and help him!

I spoke with Deon and he sent over "Miranda " it was great seeing Abbie again, as she assisted me on my 2nd rental. I only needed to rent for 1 day. I returned the car on Saturday July 18th I seen that they were busy, however " Deon, Branch manager "stepped in and offered to give a courtesy ride back home as I just live less then 3 mins away. I was in Cleveland, TX when a nail punctured my tire right on the edge of the sidewall. The drop…read morein tire pressure was instantaneous. My TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) lights on the dash immediately starting warning me that my tire was getting low. Within a few minutes, it was flat. Unfortunately, my car does not have a spare. Fortunately, it did have run-flat tires so I was able to make it a couple of miles to Wilkie's. I already knew I was getting close to needing tires. My car is 14 months old but I have already driven almost 50K miles. Wilkie's did not have 4 tires in the size required for my vehicle. What they were able to do is put a plug in the tire and fix it well enough for me to make it back to Houston and go to a Discount Tire. They were clear (and I am very aware) that I should not try to plug a tire where this one was punctured (see photo). I begged them to plug it anyway and I would take the chance on making it 25 miles to the closest Discount Tire location. Again, they warned me that it may not work but if it did, do not plan on driving with this plug long-term. To make a long story short, it worked. It worked so well that I was not only able to make it back to Houston but I was able to make it all the way to League City to my normal Discount Tire location. Oh, they only charged me $5 to plug the tire. I gave the guy a tip too considering the aggravation he was saving me of having to get my car towed to Houston because of the lack of a spare. On a side note, he would have been able to get four tires that fit my vehicle within 24 hours but since I did not live in Cleveland, I declined. Kudos to the guys at Wilkie's. They were honest and upfront about the repair. They fixed it the best they could and I was able to get my vehicle back to Houston (and beyond) until I could get four new tires the same day at my normal Discount Tire. They only charged me $5 for the plug and were very clear that it was not a long-term solution. If you live in the area or are desperate for a repair like I was, I can easily give them a recommendation based upon my one experience. Good job, guys.

I called back twice only to be left on the line as she just put the phone down. This is not the kind of service or people need to have working for you especially when you deal with customers that are going through moving to traveling situations. They do not do a walk around with you nor do they take pictures. I highly suggest you do both. The counter person was nice during check in, however the check out was not the same. The check out person, Brenda, was curt and borderline rude. She charged an extra fee for gas as well even though I returned the car on full! (Offered refund after I mentioned it) I was maybe 45 minutes late and I was charged 33 dollars for it. No waive of fee either. I wouldnt recommend This Avis location. Maybe alternative locations or another company such as Hertz or Enterprise.
