Moving my aunt from North Carolina to Florida we had reservations a week ahead of time. The computer asked me to pick a time we showed up an hour and 17 minutes late. The two young ladies at the front desk told me my car was sent to a different location and that my reservation was canceled and that I could come back later that night and pick up another car. Utterly infuriating. I am writing this review in a state of complete disbelief at the level of disregard and incompetence I was met with at the Crestview, FL Enterprise location. ​The nightmare began the moment I got into my rental car, only to find it was infested with roaches and reeked of cigarette smoke. I was disgusted and appalled. How can a business in the service industry allow a vehicle in such a state to be rented out? It's beyond belief. ​The frustration only mounted from there. I chose this location because the website explicitly states they provide a ride service. Yet, despite nine employees milling about and only one other customer, they told me they couldn't give me a ride due to being "short-staffed." I was left stranded and forced to walk 11 miles home, a humiliating and exhausting end to what should have been a simple transaction. ​When I spoke with the manager, his condescending attitude was the final insult. He had zero empathy for my situation and, instead of offering a solution, simply told me to "go back to the airport." The complete lack of accountability and professional courtesy is a disgrace. ​This experience was a complete waste of my time and energy. The 2 young ladies that took care of me the red head and the young black lady with braids they were very professional and went overboard to make sure everything went smooth and I was taken care of. They are grossly understaffed for the work load. I rent from them about twice a month and they are nearly always struggling to get customers out in 1/2 an hour even with reservations. I would switch to a different location but that would add up-to 2 hours of extra time for pickup and drop off. The staff tries but the management seems to not care. When I broke down one time enterprise basically abandoned me in the middle of Arkansas. read more

The Enterprise in Crestview was the most horrible experience I've ever had on a VERY important day!! :( I had thought I booked and paid for the car on the Expedia/ Enterprise site? I put my card # in then it asked me for Protection on the car (because it said it may be more at the pick-up) So I added protection and THOUGHT I paid..... When I went to get the car the next morning Nick helped me. I would bet you $1000 this guy has been fired from EVERY customer service job he's ever had! He knew NOTHING about the reservation, NOTHING about the protection I thought I purchased, and told me I better check to make sure they didn't charge me?! Then he tells me there's a $300 deposit!!! I was already pay $210 for one-way to St.Pete to pick up a car. I asked him if I could pay with one card and do $300 deposit on another card? He said No. (how many people have $500 on one card they can blow at once? Not many)....then he said they upgraded me.....and brought around a beat up, smoked in w/ burn marks on ceiling, little Toyota Corolla!! (Dude, don't lie to me)....and on top of that....on EMPTY!!! A rental place that gives you a car on EMPTY??.....THIS GETS BETTER, JUST WAIT.....So, me and my mother take the car and get on the interstate and start going east on I-10 and are about to go around a truck and you can feel the car wobbling or shaking. I turned the car around and went right back and told them "Get me something else, I'm not driving that car 6 hours!!" This place (and Nick) were horrible!! I spoke with a gentleman seconds after making reservations online to be SURE I knew how much this rental would cost me. I specifically asked, "Are there any other fees, costs, or what-have-you that I should plan for?" He said, "Nope. All you pay is $115 per day plus tax. Absolutely no other fees or charges." Mkay. A week before needing the rental I called the location in town and asked, "I have read some reviews that stated you don't actually have the vehicle available that you say you do, so I want to hear from you that you WILL have a van for me, and I want to double check how much this will cost all fees included." Once again, I was told $115 per day plus tax and that would be it, plus the lady assured me a van would be available. The day before my trip, I go to the store and say, "I want to be sure everything is in order, and I want to verify the price again." The lady says, "We 'should' have a van or similar vehicle, and $115 per day plus a $300 deposit!" I cancelled my rental. How do you not tell customers there will be a $300 deposit? read more

just now NEW Enterprise rental in crest view Fl is a joke. We were on vacation in Destin Florida,when we headed home back to Louisiana our car broke down in Crestview. We ended up having to rent a room for the night and we planned on renting a car in the morning to get home. So we booked the car on Expedia when we attempted to pay for the car the manager of the branch refused to accept my banks debit card even though it's also a Mastercard. I explained to him that I had two kids and that we were stranded. I also informed him that we had spoken to someone from costumer service that said he could override this it's was up to him. He very rudely informed me that it wasn't his problem and that enterprise would not be honoring our reservation for a rental.To bad he was to stupid to realize in my business we rent cars very often. I will never rent or recommend anyone to use enterprise,as a matter of fact I will strongly persuade anyone I.can to avoid these people. read more

Reserved a 15 passenger van well in advance only to arrive for pick up and told they did not have it available. Why would the manager call me the same morning that the I'm scheduled to pick up the van? I should have been notified days ago so that we could have gone with another agency. We have family members that flew in so that we could all attend a family gathering and had no choice but to cancel. Most unreliable rental company in our area. Beware! read more

I was already a little unsettled of driving in Florida since it was our first out of state vacation. New surroundings of people and highways! The few reviews from this Enterprise location were already discouraging. As first timers renting a car we actually had the best experience with this location. As with plane tickets, we made our reservations to rent a car online. Easy enough. A few days before we called in advance to ease our worry of not having a running automobile. Come the day of and everything is in working order. The process according to my other half was efficient with a full tank of gas. I wasn't expecting a brand new 2018 white chevrolet malibu to pull up in the driveway. For the most part it was clean with a few stains from previous renters. No big deal. Although there was a distinct smell of cigarettes. I have nothing against of those who smoke, but it is not the greatest for us folk who have asthma. After getting car freshener vent clips and lysol spray the smell was no more! We drove a lot and that included an adventure to Alabama and the infamous Disney World in Orlando. Not once did we have any setbacks of flat tires. It withstood the hours of us driving through both the sun and rough rain. It was a relief to have a car that we could rely on! For the customer service we experienced no less. Our concerns were addressed and left us satisfied. We will definitely use this Enterprise location again for future visits to Florida! read more

Poor customer service. I called to schedule a rental from crestview to Pensacola. I was told this location will not do 1 way drives. Say what? This literally the definition of car rentals. We had a pickup truck "reserved" then to get a call 30 minutes before they close and 10 hrs before I get my reservation just for them to tell us they have no pickup trucks and tried to offer me a sedan. Never in my adult life have I had such a horrible experience renting a car, and I have rented many through multiple TDYs in the military. I set up an appointment almost 2 weeks ago for a rental while my car is in the shop. My appointment was at 0800. It is now 0930 and there are people in front of me. Most times I pick up a car I get to walk to my car and drive off. Now I have to wait for people in front of me to have their car pressure washed and filled with gas. If I could leave negative stars I would. I reserved a car through my insurance online for 6/12/2023 at 10 o'clock to be delivered. When no one showed up at 10 I called and the Main Line for Enterprise said that they had me down for a pick up not a drop off my mistake and they would change it they even checked to see if they had a driver at that location, yes and he's available ok sending them an instant message and they will update you on a time via email this was at 10:20. At 12 no email I call back talk to Main Line again no information on first call so they take my information again and transfer me to local branch set up a car to be sent by 1 ...line sits on hold and I'm hung up onafter several minutes. I call the local branch he says yea I got the messages but we don't deliver we haven't in years here ,also we don't have any cars, we might have a van oops no it needs an oil change, I said I need an suv by3 at the latest he said well nothing has been turned in I can call u when someone comes in. I'm literally turning in my car to be repaired and heading out of town today and had this set up last week via my insurance company but they have no idea what they have. I call back the main number she says I am sorry we will make this an urgent matter and the area manager will find a car at one of the locations all I asked is can I get it from another location at this point I had my daughter take off to drive me to get the car where ever I could get it she assured me they would find me one ASAP. I drop my car at the repair shop and never heard back still so I call AGAIN and the representative says oh they have a car for you waiting but I heard nothing back from them ‍...so I drive over there and while waiting this guy comes in and says hey I'm returning my car are you going to drop me back home ? I'm thinking wth ‍ I was told they don't do pick ups or drop offs at this location and the boy says yes I think I was the one that picked you up. Finally the guy behind the counter waits on me says we don't have any suvs in but we have an F1 50 he starts processing me I'm like not trying to be a pain but that's not what I asked for just never mind after 6 phone calls and the run around I had to put off a business trip to go with another company that thankfully my company does businesses with normally. While staying in Defuniak Springs (about 30 minutes from Crestview), we wrecked our truck and needed a car right away. I called Enterprise Rental and the next day a very nice woman drove all the way to Defuniak Springs and picked me up. The rental office staff walked me through all the paperwork, which was very helpful as I was still a bit shook-up from the accident. The office there in Crestview worked with my insurance company and all the paperwork was handled for me. I really appreciated the concern from the staff for my situation. I felt like they really cared about getting me into a rental car and safely on my way. read more

People where I picked it up were great. Car was a Chevy Cruze, i.e. crap. They said it was a full tank and the car would get 38mpg, but by the time I had driven 50 miles it was down to 3/4. Pulled to the left and the Aux jack did not work. No one at the drop off seemed to care. read more

On top of what I previously posted, the Chevy Cruz had 2 balding tires. I woke up the next morning to a flat tire. Take it to the shop, had to replace them because the wires were showing. They need to keep up with the maintenance of their vehicles. The lady at the front desk was so soothing and has great customer service skills. She re-imbursed me my money in a quick, painless manner. Rental car a MESS! Nissan Sentra missing a hub cap, scratches, tape glue on each door due to shipment and broken tail light. They couldn't take the glue off when they received the car? Drove from FL to TX in a HORRIBLE car that needed to be serviced. This vehicle needed some kind of alignment or tune up. Needless to say, traded the car into an Enterprise in TX with no problem. The Enterprise in Crestview didn't even fill the tank. I am well aware we don't have to completely fill it when we return it BUT i'm used to it being filled upon pick up. This type of service in Crestview isn't surprising. read more

Do not rely on Enterprise for a rental car. They will let anyone book online regardless of whether a car is actually available or not. You think you have a confirmed reservation, and then you find out when you get there that no cars are available! read more

My husband who is ex-military and works up the street from Enterprise Rent a Car in Crestview, FL went to rent a car after his truck broke down in Crestview. They would not rent a car to him with a debit/credit Mastercard because he had out of state license and did not have a copy of a current paystub and 2 copies of utilities bills on him. Who carries those things in their wallet. Had to walk back to work and catch a ride home from a coworker. We live 35 miles from Crestview. Sad thing is my husband can go to war and fight and die for his country but can't rent a car from this "crappy joint". read more
