Great service by Dekairi Brown. I did not stop in for auto service that day. I was looking for help with a trip to Cooperstown, NY this coming spring. Asked how long I want to travel each day, told him I would be pulling a travel trailer so no longer that 6 hours of driving on the way up there. There are no services available after five except picking up or dropping off your car for service. Drove over 30 minutes here after work just to be turned away. I used to trust and live this AAA service center but now my trust has gone down. I spoke to Joe from this center and he told me the estimate for what I would be asking for was $331. 19 but when I called him back and told him that when I went to the AAA site online and put in my service request there I got an estimate of $143.49 - $229.04 for the exact same model I told him about on the phone but he told me that they dont have a price estimate for AAA online but it is truly verified as a AAA site. Why would I come here for this service if my own dealership is giving me a lower quote and online, on their own site it still gives me a lower quote rather than what was told to me on the phone. What's the point of a membership then? It sucks. I'm going to be skeptical of any service I get from here if I decide if I want to ever go there again. read more

Very disappointed in this location. We had an oil change done on one of our cars. Great price, great service. A few weeks later the check engine light came on and after a thorough review by someone else it was on because the oil level was too low. Had the car checked for leaks etc. Couldn't find anything so brushed it off as a fluke. Had an oil change done on our other car about 3 months ago. Check engine light came on a few weeks ago. Due to an accident we have the car a mechanic we know and asked him to check the engine light and fix whatever the issue is. Was just told the oil level is too low and that's why the check engine light is on. Same thing on two different cars after getting an oil change at this location?? Brought my car in because my A/C went out. Thought it was a matter of just getting recharged, but it was worst than I expected to the tune of $1600 that may or may not fix what has now been determined electrical issues. Dan and Joe were the guys working at the front desk when I visited and I liked them both for their honesty. I think Jay was the Service Technician who worked relentless on my car trying to diagnose the problem, but unfortunately he couldn't figure out the issue. I tried to get an appointment to have my tire repaired, but was told it was first come/first serve. Went in the next day and upon check in was told it would be 1 hour wait do to being busy. Waited 2-1/2 hours with my child.....would never have waited if I was told it would take 2-1/2 hrs! Awful experience and would not recommend. read more

Called AAA to tow my car to the shop. They said someone would come by in about 90 minutes. It took 3 hours for someone to come by. The guy insisted I sign a blank form listing exterior damage to the car and demonstrated a poor attitude. His manager told me to get another tow service. AAA said it would take another theee hours. I finally called Combat Towing and Joey took care of me within 20 minutes. Wondering if AAA is worth it. One star is too good for this rating. read more

I just want to say what a wonderful group of people working here! I had to have my car , Hundai Elantra towed here! The driver of the tow truck was very helpful and super nice! Unfortunamely they were not able to fix my car and they told me I needed to have it towed to a dealership to get it fixed since there were recalls that I could use and not be charged! Fist time I spoke to the dealership I was told that it would take a long time before they could get to look at my car! ( I had to pay for the extra miles to be towed to this dealership, About an hour or so they called me and said there were not any recalls on my z2011 Elantra! An hour or so later I recievend another e mail telling me my repairs were being done and all taken care of! About ten minutes later I received another e mail stating I needed a new engine! I definetly cannot get this done because I on a fixed income, and there is no way I could afford this! Needless to say I'm giving up my driving now. The thing that bothered me so much was the ups and downs of feeling good one minute and crushed the next minute! I do have to state that I was very happy and impressed with the people I dealt with at the McGinnis ferry place where I first had my vehicle towed! Super nice and helpful !! I came to this shop 3 years ago but was turned off my a very rude person at front desk, but Joe from Johns Creek AAA changed all that! For starters let me tell the uninitiated that you don't need to have a AAA card to get your car serviced. In last week's icy road condition I skid and hit a curb pretty badly. Most auto shops take advantage of the customer's naivete and rack on unnecessary expenses. When I called Joe and told him how bad I hit the curb he just told me to bring it in for a free assessment. Guess what, it wasn't that bad! All I needed was an alignment and Joe and his Tech, got it done in 20 mins and had me out the door a very happy customer! As soon as I got to the office, I told all my colleagues to use AAA on Johns Creek. Like a good jeweler, an honest car shop/mechanic is a rare find and you don't want to switch when you find the right one. read more

They are my go-to shop for any repair that does not require the dealer to be involved. They have always done quality work, at a fair price and usually pretty quick. When my wife's van broke a timing belt they were honest with her about the odds that the motor was damaged even had we paid $$$ to fix the belt (not that I did not know this already, but I appreciate their forthrightness). When we decided to get a new car rather than fix the van, they were fine with us leaving it on their lot for a few days until the dealer came to retrieve it. And on top of all this, they use quality NAPA auto parts! read more

Please avoid! I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience with this service center. My car broke down on a Thu, so I towed it into the service center on Fri. The car had stalled and would not start for more than 2 sec. I was told on that my alternator was out and the belt needed replacing too, and I should pick up my car for a charge of $600. Fine. That is acceptable. When I picked up my car on Sat, it had the exact same problem as when I had it towed in. The car would not start for more than 2 secs. I had to leave the car back there over the weekend since the mechanic was gone for the day. He left a cryptic message about there being no gas in the car when the fuel light was not even on. I was then told on Mon that my air flow filter needed to be replaced and that would be an additional $300. The alternator and air flow filter have nothing to do with one other. To this date, no one, least of the manager at the location, has been able to explain to me how two unrelated things can go bad at the exact same time, and how fixing an alternator would not be enough for the car to start. Why did the technician not check that my car was still stalling after replacing the alternator? Why would he say the next day that actually the air flow filter needed replacing? If it needed replacing, why was my alternator replaced as well? This is like a doc telling you on Thu your kidneys need replacing, then telling you after the operation that actually it's the lungs that are the problem. What kind of a service station hands over a car to a customer without fixing the problem and charge $600? The manager - the guy who picks up the phone and stands at the counter - started saying things like - well you know Sir, my technician back here said I was not paid to fix the air flow problem so I did not work on that. I have now told him to fix it, so you can now come and get your car! The manager's manager was at least helpful in being up front and communicating that he did not know why two things broke down on the same day. But then he reminded me 3 times that they filled in fuel (worth $20, if that) in my car for free, when handing me a bill for $900 that they could not explain. read more

This was my first time using this facility. I needed an oil change and tire rotation. I used a coupon I had received in the mail from AAA so the whole thing cost me $2.96! Hard to beat that! My wait time was 45 minutes which I felt was very reasonable considering how busy they were! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will be back! read more

We planed a vacation with a person working as a travel agent at this Triple A. The agent, "Hash" gave me a total price for the vacation and then charged our credit card for more than half the amount. She said that they, Brendan Vacations, would not find our accommodations for our self drive through Ireland unless we paid up front. However, even after they received our money and charged our credit card, they did not have accommodations for us confirmed, worse yet, when Hash got back to us a few days later , she told us that Brendan Vacations still did not confirm all accommodations, plus the airfare for our trip had significantly gone up, turning what had been approximately $6000.00 cost for hotel, flights, and car rental, into a 12,000 vacation cost, double the amount upon which we agreed! When we explained that such a rise in cost over just a few days was totally unfair and unacceptable, Triple A at John's Creek then said we would be charged penalties! To begin, if our travel agent had reserved our flights at the time I was in her office, the cost would have remained the same. Furthermore, Brendan Vacations should not have billed us for accommodations that they did not secure. We spoke to Rudy, the manager at this John's Creek Triple A who refused to acknowledge the total unprofessionalism of his agent nor the injustice of Brendan Vacations for billing our credit card without having secured accommodations, plus Brendan Vacations changed the itinerary that we requested without our consent. We are very disappointed with this Triple A. We will never again trust their agent Hash nor Brendan Vacations. Terrible experience! They have lost our trust and our business! read more

I brought my car here a week ago because I had several minor things as well as a funny noise wether I used the gas, and i was about to drive for a trip. I've been a AAA member for many years and this place is one reason I still keep my membership. They did everything i asked, diagnosed the noise as something that did noir need repair, and were super friendly nice and helpful. My bill, with discount, was about $75. Phew! Those people were not friendly. We were there before that section opened, there was no Good Morning or smile, we were made to feel that we inconvenienced them. This is a full service AAA facility so this review only addresses the auto shop portion. It stinks. Between my wife and I, we've used them 3 times. Each time we made an appointment as they requested and each time when we showed up it was always the same: they were running behind schedule and the scheduled time was out the window. They were 3 for 3 pulling that one. The second time I wanted them to do an oil and filter change and service my ac to find and fix a slow leak. When I got I asked the guy in front if the leak had been fixed. He said there was nothing wrong with the ac. By this time there was no refrigerant left in it. Let me sum up. Scheduling is a fantasy, I haven't mentioned yet but the front office people are very rude, and their technicians need a refresher course. read more

On 8/28/21, I came in with a coupon for Oil Change, Tire Rotation & Free Digital vehicle inspection & safety check for a total of $39.99. At the time, I hadn't read the full details of the service and what it included. But, I asked how much would a diagnostic cost me---Rep Daniel - P67297 told me $119. We've been members of AAA for over 10years and never used this facility. So, wife wanted to try it out with the coupon. When, I picked up my car, I paid for the service and left. I was not pleased with the extremely high balance of $191 for services that was supposed to be $39.99 not counting misc fees. I don't like to squabble over a bill in public. But, when I got home I went over the coupon and invoice more thoroughly, and I noticed I was charged $135 for the diagnostic, and for 8.5 quarts of oil. When I called in to complain, I was told, that was a non-member charge and it shouldn't have been applied. The rep said he would take care of it, and credited me the difference of the pricing. But, the coupon also said I should've gotten my tires rotated, which it was not even suggested by the rep, and that the free digital inspection (which I thought was a diagnostic --The word-play here). I tried to get an explanation for the omission from who I was talking to, but the rep was over-talking me and becoming short, so I asked for a manager, he said he was the manager, I asked for his name, and he said Jim Casol. I got upset because he started going back and forth with me and used a curse word about the situation and He stated, if I'm going to use that language I going hang up. And he just hungup on me. I immediately called back and got a Joe (totally opposite character), he tried to explain to me the charges, he apologized for the previous miscues in the whole invoice, he took ownership of the called and tried to help as much as he could. He tried to assure me that if I gave the shop another chance that I wouldn't feel so bad about doing business with them again. I assured him that I would NEVER use that facility again, because it's not the omission, slip-up, or big thumbs of the rep that charged me as a non-member when I'm a member, or the rep not explaining to me what the services of the coupon entailed and what would my potential charges be based on the service a breakdown of my charges, No, it was the way the manager spoke to me, as a potentially new customer, he over=talked me, he basically argued with me about the charges, and he told me it was not his reps fault that I didn't tell him what I thought the coupon covered. (free digital inspection - is not a diagnostic). And then when I attempted to remind him I was an adult and a customer, and I used a curse word, he took that as an opportunity to get me off the phone--and hungup on me! When I called back I got Joe, who should be the manager at this shop, because he knows how to talk to people, accept ownership of mishaps and try to resolve the grievance in real time. He also gave me the number of Ron -District manager when I asked for Jim's bosses name. I believe you have one time to make a good impression, and AAA Car Care Plus 063 Johns Creek, dropped the ball on this one. I will Never recommend this facility to anyone based on the Manager Jim Casol, the service there after starts with him. read more

This review is a follow-up to the one I submitted on 04/16/2014. First, the good news. Customer service is great. The auto repair staff is friendly, professional, and courteous. The shuttle van service is very good. Unfortunately, that is the only good news I have based on my one major repair experience. Plus, the customer service is the only reason a rating of two (2) stars versus one (1) was given. I brought my car in for air conditioning service some time ago. The staff did a major overhaul of the original AC system - new condenser, new compressor, new dryer (accumulator), new orifice valve, and new evaporator core. The repair also switched me from R12 (now banned in the US for new or newly repaired AC systems ) to R-134A. Seven (7) months following the initial repair, the AC no longer functioned properly. The repair had a 24-month warranty, which is one reason I chose AAA-South for this repair. Long story short, AAA-South could never get the AC repaired during the warranty period. The AC continued to fail time and time again after each visit to AAA-South. I am leaving out the details so as not to make anyone feel bored. Once the warranty period expired, I took my car to an AC specialist in Smyrna, GA, (Auto-Cool) at the recommendation of a coworker. Auto-Cool showed me everything AAA-South did wrong. In short, the compressor was a remanufactured one that was "tearing up" from the inside out resulting in clogging of the orifice valve. In addition, the condenser was made of copper, not aluminum. Aluminum is better for auto A/C. Last of all, the primary vendors used my AAA-South are very basic (NAPA, Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, etc.). Auto-Cool has a "long" list of vendors, specialists, unique suppliers, craftsmen, etc. In short, Auto-Cool repaired my car's AC and it is still working beautifully (and coldly) two years later. Auto-Cool used all brand new parts - no reconditioned/remanufactured parts! I filed a claim in magistrate court against AAA-South. During mediation, we reached a financial settlement quite easily. The auto repair staff at AAA-South appear to have competency for basic auto repairs. For more technical or advanced repairs, they appear to be lacking in technical knowledge/experience. By the way, an ASE certification as an auto mechanic is easy to come by. Do not be fooled by the mechanic's patch that reads ASE. It does not mean that the mechanic possesses a wealth of advanced, technical knowledge of auto repairs. read more

The facility is clean, and the customer service here puts other places to shame. After the check engine codes were checked, Tim explained my options, and was very informative. I went back when they opened on Monday and they quickly confirmed my assumptions about what was wrong and were able to have my car back to me by the end of the day.
