I had a very pleasant and relaxing rental experience with this location. It was so much easier renting from this smaller shop than at the busy airport. The agent took time to sit in the car with me to make sure my phone connected to Apple Play and which map app worked, I tested the windshield wipers since it was raining and it squeaked so he cleaned up a different car for me quickly, I could make sure mirrors adjusted to my height. He answered all my questions and never rushed me. We were able to sit down to process the forms and pay which was more comfortable than standing at a counter and gave me a little more time to acclimate to the vehicle. The website said it doesn't allow afterhours dropoff but they said it does which was quite a relief since I wasn't sure if I'd make it back before 6pm. Afterhours Dropoff was super easy and my receipt the next morning showed that I was only charged through the dropoff day and not the next morning when their office opened. Everyone in the office was nice. Location is easy to find and drive to. read more

Excellent overall experience! I needed a last minute rental for Labor Day weekend. Online reservation was quick and easy. Received a call on the morning of pickup to confirm. Hertz rental company they are very rude and very unprofessional when I went to go pick up my rental car through my insurance they said oh come on down when I got there at least I'm on the do not rent list and thinking in number to call and nobody will answer this number. This company is very unprofessional they don't know what they're doing very rude and can't even give you a reason why I didn't come all the way down there to tell me I can't rent a car. Super friendly team here in Danvers, MA. We were looking for a more economical way to get to the MA/NH border and Enterprise was our answer. My Insurance company set up a reservation at this Enterprise and they tried to up sell me multiple times stating the amount the insurance company is paying doesn't cover the full rental and taxes ($30 per day on policy). I informed the Enterprise employee that I work in claims for a different insurance company and that the rate I have under my policy should fully cover the rental with out of pocket expense. These rates are contracted with the rental car companies prior to being offered on policies. This amount should cover a compact vehicle. The employee would not budge on having my rental fully covered with a compact vehicle. Her excuse was "inflation". I told her to cancel my reservation and I'll reach out to my insurance company to let them know how I was treated. read more

Tried to rent a car as one of their different offices sent me here, Scott from the Salem office. The staff employed they couldn't help in anyway, forced me again to get an Uber back to the other enterprise office. Extremely rude, did not understand that I may potentially have no ride or money to get back home and all the staff were completely satisfied and smiling with the exchange. Know what your signing!!!! They were not clear with me how the insurance policy worked and charged me $420 extra at the end of our car rental! When I tried to dispute the charges and am continuing to fight this charge they are not willing to work with me. Very hot headed not willing to admit their faults. My vehicle was involved in an accident this past January. so my insurance company referred me to Enterprise in Danvers. I cannot say enough for the staff, I did not have a ride to pick up rental car, they explained to me it was no problem they would come and pick me up, they also kept in touch with me up until my vehicle was repaired. Had to get a rental car when I got into an accident. They were very help and professional. My insurance company set up an appointment to rent a car and immediately after I got an email to confirm, an employee called me to also confirm my appointment. When I arrived they asked me what kind of car I was looking for. Becuase my insurance only would pay a certain amount each day I asked for the cheapest option. They gave me a Hyundai Elantra, it was washed and cleaned before they gave me the keys and also vacuumed. They did an inspection beforehand and had me sign the appropriate waivers. The employees were very help and answered all of my questions. They told me that I had an original 5 days to use the car and they would work with my insurance to extend the rental as needed, they said that they like to take the customer out of the extend process because we have enough to deal with. After about a month my car was ready. I returned the car, no appointment or call ahead needed. They checked the car out to make sure there wasn't any damage and that the gas was filled appropriately. I also asked them to give me a ride to the dealership down the street. I only had to wait 10 minutes or so for someone to be able to drive me. They were very busy on a Thursday afternoon. The person who drove me was very polite and made conversation. She got me to the dealer safe and told me which door to go in when i got to the dealer. She was very nice. I would for sure use them again if needed!! read more

I got a rental from Enterprise in Danvers when I got into an accident. This was my first time ever renting a car. First, they were about 45 min late picking me up from the repair shop without calling to say there were behind, I would have walked there if I had known. The man that came to pick me up was very nice but failed to wear his face mask correctly. When he dropped me off there was a man outside assisting other customers, he told me to wait inside. When I went inside someone told me that wasn't allowed, which was fine, however it just seemed like the covid protocols were not known by everyone. It was December 2020, they should have known all the covid protocols by then! When I did the walk around with the employee, he only pointed out the 4 sides of the car, not the roof, this will come back into play. I had the car for about 2 weeks, I was told to leave the rental at repair shop. I called when I arrived at the repair shop with my car and spoke to someone at Enterprise to let them know I was done with the rental. The next day, I got a call from Enterprise asking me when I was returning my car, I informed them that I had notified them the previous day and the car had been there since then. THEN I got a call from Enterprise telling me that it "looked like" there was a scratch on the roof. My first thought was, this must be a scam, when I rented the car they never pointed out the roof, why would I think to look at the roof? They are either and lying trying to get more money out of me because I am a woman under 30 and they think I will just pay it, or the scratch was there from the start and I never saw it, but one thing is for certain I did not make that scratch, I drove it to work and home, I don't have a garage, I did not take it through a car wash, and it never snowed so I didn't have to brush snow off. I will never recommend Enterprise and I warn you to take your own pictures and ALWAYS check the roof, especially if you are a women! They will try and take advantage of you. read more

I'm not sure if I have the correct location, but as I recall everybody rotates from this location to the one near the Subway right down the road. In any case, the gentlemen Pat that was working when I brought the car back with my girlfriend was awesome. We weren't sure if we had a car and the insurance company who was paying for the rental had screwed us and we had to bring the rental back. Pat was very accommodating and pleasant. He literally tried everything to help us out and his customer service (and sense of humour) was a great way to pass the time and lighten the mood of not having a car. Great Customer service! Unfortunately, you have to give one star with this rating system. I just brought my car to the dealer for a repair and was supposed to have a rental from the Enterprise in Danvers. When they tried to swipe my card, it's not working because the strip is worn. I asked if they could enter the number manually but they said that they can't for security reason! Huh? They literally have my drivers license on file! Beyond idiotic! The next time I need a car rental, it won't be through Enterprise! read more

Was in an accident recently and my friend referred me to enterprise. Wasn't sure if they had something for me since it was late in the week in late in the day. The manager David was very accommodating he was very polite and courteous. He took care of me and gave me a great rental it ran unbelievable pushbutton start and stop. They know me on a first name basis, they pick me up for my rentals and return me home when I'm done. Cars are nice and cant beat the price. read more

Enterprise Rent-A-Car in Danvers is, unfortunately, overseen by a corrupt district manager who takes out the problems of struggling branches on his customers, and directs his clients to do the same. I think Enterprise overall has a great mission offering exceptional value, which is not reflected in the Danvers or Beverly locations. The staff in Danvers and Beverly are always out to nickel and dime you, from selling insurance product you don't need to leveraging their weight. Enterprise Rent-A-Car went so far as to refuse a rental to me approaching the Christmas season. Enterprise Rent-A-Car Danvers is part of a district where the sales are becoming so increasingly cutthroat the various branches are speaking ill of each other. I cannot recommend the Danvers or Beverly locations - so make sure when you rent from Enterprise you go out of the Danvers/Beverly/Peabody district to avoid being overcharged and hung out to dry - especially in the event that you need to rent for more than a month. Big changes need to happen in the Danvers/Peabody location, as some of their business practices are downright malicious. read more

It seems so easy on the Internet then when I got to the office I spent a hour there and then the fees were not the same as Internet and after I reserved a car i was told it was not available that day so I settled on a lesser car, as far as the customer service I got they were very short with me, I opted to not take there insurance and that's when the pushy salesman took over they told me I'll lose my house be sued garnish wages etc etc if I was to be in a accident and not have there insurance for a extra 200$ I'm sorry I'll take my chances I've never had a accident in 30 years so I don't plan to in those 5 days I couldn't believe how they behaved when I said I don't want there insurance maybe they make commission off it. I rented my car the week of July 7th to the 13th to take a getaway with my sisters & my six year old nephew from Mass to Virgina. We also made the responsible decision of paying an extra $180 for the insurance through enterprise. As we drove down to Virginia about 8 hours into our ride there we were on the highway and as we were driving someone tried to merge into our lane at 65 mph. Your all probably screaming from your side of the phone screen "BEEP BEEP" well we tried and the car we rented didn't have a horn. We couldn't do anything about it as we were already 8 hours into our ride and 8 hours away from home. We finally got to our hotel and enjoyed our getaway. Now were on our way home. We are 7 hours into our ride home at roughly 10 pm. When something rolled out into the middle of road on the New Jersey Turnpike with no way to prevent it from happening. Our tire was flat. Immediately we pull off to the safest place we can get to without the tire falling off of the rental. We ended up off of a off ramp in Bronx New york at 10 pm. Soon as we pulled off my sister started to call triple A as I started to call Roadside assisantence through enterprise. Not only did the Branch manger in the Danvers location say there was a spare in the car. He also said the roadside assistance was  24/7 if you paid for the full coverage insurance. As I was on the phone with roadside assistance after giving them the information of the rental the first thing he said to me was there was no spare in the car. As we spoke he told me I had to get to the enterprise in New york and they would send us an uber. They were aware we had 5 people and luggage. They sent uber after uber that could only fit up to four people in it. After we already called them back & asked for a bigger car. Now its around 11:30 & we are 26 minutes away from the new york enterprise and we still are on the side of the road.  We decided we are just going to call ourself an XL uber so all of us & our stuff can fit. We called enterprise back to let them know we are going to call ourself a car because they aren't sending them to the correct location or sending a car big enough for all of us. They proceed to tell us after 2 hours of being stranded on the side of the road in Bronx NY with a 12 year old who is crying and needs to use the bathroom, a six year old who has absolutely no idea why were stopped and not going home yet and has to use the bathroom and a 19 year old who was having a panic attack because she didn't feel safe that if we didn't make it to the NY location by 12 am (its 11:45 & the location is 26 minutes away.) we were going to have to get a hotel and stay the night.  The roadside assistance lady told my sister she would help us look for hotels or we could try & see if the other location in NY would stay open for an extra 10 minutes so we can get there and be on our way home. The location never answered the phone when they were still open for another 15 minutes. The roadside assistance lady  ignored my sisters cry for help and said she wasn't able to find a hotel for us to get in for the night. We then proceeded to find a hotel, pay for a lyft to the hotel and the hotel for the night. Finally its 6 am my sisters go to pick up the car. You would think the entire time roadside asstanices and the NY location have been communicating and they are aware we are coming right? You'd be wrong if you thought that. The NY location was 100% unaware of situation and tossed in that every rental is supposed to have a spare tire.  When we finally got our new rental car and made it home after myself and my 2 sisters missing an entire day of work we returned the new rental to the danvers location. There we spoke to the assistant manger Julian and told him about our experience with enterprise. Even though the branch Manger was there he never even bothered to come over & speak to us even though he was the one who rented us the death mobile. We have contacted the cooperate office , the CEO and the better business bureau nobody has done anything besides Julian and the branch manger of Danvers offering us a hundred dollars off even though we paid over $200 for the hotel in NY & Lyfts that had to be canceled. The mission statement of the company is "To be the best transportation service provider in the world. To exceed our customers' expectations for service, quality and value." If this is there mission statement they failed in every possible way. We paid over a grand to have a safe way to & from our vacation when in reality we should of taken public transportation because the T would have done a better job keeping my family & I safe. I would not recommended enterprise if you have children and trying to travel. I would not recommended enterprise if you want to feel safe while driving. read more

I had a number of problems with my rental, starting from my pick-up from the auto body shop, which was scheduled for noon. They didn't show up so I had to call and wait for them. The car they rented me broke down (didn't start) after three days and I took an Uber to get where I needed to go. After talking with them, they said I had to wait with the broken-down car and call Enterprise service myself for a jump start. Incredibly, though this repair was not my fault in any way, it was my responsibility to wait for a repair van and was GOING TO COST ME $55. I ended up calling AAA, then had to drive the car back to Enterprise to switch it for a different one. Had to bug them multiple times to get my Uber refund...oh, and did I mention that the car was rented to me with only 1/4 of a tank of gas?! read more

I am currently a PLATINUM MEMBER at Enterprise, and the way they have treated me after how much money I've spent with this company is ridiculous!!! I rented a car for 186 days with an agreement that the car would be $13.95 a day with a "Weekend Special/covid-19 pandemic special." I made every payment on time without issue and they didn't contact me for over 2 months. The final week of having my rental 08/22/2020 they started calling random family members of mine, including asking for my deceased brothers phone number, demanding the car to be returned or they were going to report the car stolen!!!! Are you serious?!?! Then I get my final bill online and noticed they're charging me not the $13.95 on my agreement but $14.95. That's almost $150 more than I agreed on. I called the main branch and they told me they would contact the local DANVERS OFFICE and fix the issue. Over a week later I hear nothing back so I email them. They tell me "sorry, the branch where you made the purchase won't give you the promotional price so call them." Absolutely unprofessional and wrong! Reserved a car for 7 days and picked it up Saturday morning. Because they were short staffed, there was a wait. Fifteen cars were scheduled for pick up at 9:00a that morning. The service was good, pleasant and thorough, but the Jeep I rented wasn't that clean and smelled of smoke. The condition of the car is why I gave them a 3-star rating.
