I completely appreciate Corrin and her team at Salem Auto Body for helping my college-aged daughter with her recently purchased used Honda Accord this morning. We just drove the car over 100 miles to Salem yesterday from CT and noticed the car was making some noise at high speeds. So, this morning from home, I started researching places close to my daughter's apartment that may be able to look at the car. After seeing so many great reviews, I called Salem Auto Body, but didn't realize they were not yet open. Before I could leave a voicemail, Corrin returned my call. I explained the car situation and she said although they may not be able to do the repair, my daughter could come in and have her mechanic look at it (who's awesome) free of charge, and this was after I asked what the diagnostic fee would be. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Where do I begin? My car was in Jason's shop for 3 weeks, only to be return still noticeably scratched and damaged. Claimed he got a new door but just reused my old one (scam artist). Jason also swore and yelled on the phone but was nowhere to be found when I showed up and asked why my car still looked like garbage. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Could not say better things about this place. Came recommended by a friend after getting my car mirror taken off in Salem hospital parking lot while having surgery. Geico quoted me 1k deductible which was absurd. Called them and the woman was so nice on the phone. I noticed I had a really low tire while doing laundry up the hill from them... unsure as to where the nearest gas station was, and not really wanting to drive on it too far, I went down to ask the folks in this shop. Yes, folks, the five star reviews are for realz. I just picked up my car from Salem Auto Body and I kind of couldn't wait to write this review. In short, my car looks better now than when I brought it in. My tale of woe is that on Christmas Eve (yup), my car pretty much fell into a pothole at under 10 mph (seriously) and the damage appeared to be merely cosmetic. First thing after the holiday weekend, I learned that was too good to be true. When I brought my Honda Civic to Salem Auto Body, they took one look underneath and immediately told me it was unsafe to drive. That stupid pothole, more like a sinkhole, had caused $5600 damage to my car. The good news is that Jeff, Scott & Co. fixed it up, dealt with my insurance company, and in fact, walked me through filing the claim while I was standing there. They also hooked me up with a rental on the spot. I can't emphasize enough how great my car looks. (And it's driving well, too.) They even buffed out a scratch where I was sideswiped last year. Additionally, they completely detailed the interior and left a little care package on the front seat. Lastly, even though I had given them my credit card when I initially dropped off the car, they gave me a sweet discount on my deductible if I agreed to pay by check/cash. No problem. The bank was around the corner. The only heads up I will give, that did not ultimately impact my five-star rating, is that there is no set person at the main number (no "girl at the desk," if you will), so when you call, you may not get a call back immediately and/or they may not be able to get their hands on your invoice quickly. If you're the type of person who needs updates (my car was in their shop for 2.5 weeks), ask for Scott or Jeff's cell phone #. Even if you can't talk to them right away, trust that the work is getting done and is getting done extremely well. Turns out there really was no need for any updates, so I just enjoyed my little rental car and that was that. My mom recommended Salem Auto Body to me, and now I'm recommending them to you. Hopefully you'll never need them, but if you do, they'll save you a lot of hassle and your car will look terrific when they're done. Oh, and it will smell, nice, too. read more

I just purchased a 2007 silver grand Cherokee i came out from spending time in the gym when i saw that their was a note on my windshield on my vehicle that was parked in a space at the mall someone in a white truck hit my rear bumper and took off...license plate number was provided on note....i called my insurance company they said it would cost $ 500.00 - $ 800.00 dollars to fix it i took my vehicle to Salem Auto Body they said they had a special going on Bumper Special $ 200.00 dollars i said great!! We made the appointment a week later Friday i dropped my truck off Thursday he said it would ready Friday afternoon i called @ 1:30 P.M. to see how it was going he said he forget me....................and they would do it Saturday........he told me it would be ready at 12:00 noon i got there at 11:50 he said they were washing the truck i said okay..it was nice of them to wash my truck but i didn't get it till 12:35!.......... The rear bumper came out excellent! it matched the paint and for only $ 200.00 dollars one little problem was my brand new spare tire which was under the rear bumper also got spayed silver..........i would have given them 5 ***** stars but having to wait 45 minutes for my truck to get washed and forgetting that we made the appointment Friday and the over spray on my spare tire. read more

I came to Salem Auto Body for an insurance claim repair. I was rear ended and just needed a bumper and a tail light. Not only did the repairs take 15 days, but I was not called once about the status of my car. I had to call repeatedly to find out when I would be seeing my car. When I arrived to pick it up, my trunk now made a loud buzzing noise when I tried to open it. I showed the mechanics and they tried to blame me as I was "just hit in the bumper" so this "must have already been a problem" - when they replaced the whole bumper and tinkered with the exact location themselves. Good and Bad to say: ( Be sure to read the bad because the situation continues to get worse. This update is October 2017) The first time I had my car repaired, I felt Scott and his men were phenomenal. Upon my return as a great surprise, in addition they washed the inside and outside of the car and left it running for the air to be cool for me. I was amazed at the work and the service. Now for the part that is not good. I returned needing a new hood. While I was home healing from a right broken foot, he delivered the car in which it stayed parked for two more months because I couldn't drive it. When I did, I noticed what looked like white spray of paint on the hood. Four men including Scott looked at it and insisted it was paint chips and that rocks must have hit it. When I tried to reason with Scott, reminding him that I had a broken foot and couldn't drive, which he knew, I tried to ask if one of his guys drove it through construction work or something. I asked that because Scott was kind enough to send my car out to fix the corner of the convertible roof. He said, {{{{ this is a direct quote}} "look, I eat, drink, sleep body work and I think you are looking for a free paint job". I left without resolve. UPDATE...PLEASE read.. now, being a few months later, there are many more white chips. Apparently, the paint is bad. I didn't think of that at first. I wanted to talk it out with him to figure out what it could be but he was very annoyed and offered nothing but an accusation. It was a new hood, I couldn't drive, why would I be seeking a paint job? So now it's clear, with the hood getting worse, they had a bad batch of paint or something. Why would any car paint chip even if you were driving behind a sand truck ? I am not a liar and I felt I was indirectly being accused of such. read more

Had the worst Thursday last week- hit a woman's car pulling into a parking spot and scratched/dented my rear passenger door, knocking the bumper a bit off.
