Poor customer…read moreservice, I would say poor communication but there was absolutely no communication on their end what so ever. It was a lot of guessing on my end. Even when I tried to communicate and verify each step prior, the phone was either never picked up, or when I finally did reach a representative, I was given incorrect information. I appreciated a ride was provided to and from the location but every step of the entire rental was quite the process when it should not have been. Called ahead to verify the price and was given false information from multiple sources and was charged significantly more in the end. When waiting for a pick up ride, was expecting a Hertz car to arrive so I waited 30 or so minutes past the scheduled pick up time looking for one. Finally an unmarked car was who picked me up, with no sticker, no sign, with someone who was not wearing any Hertz shirt or Hertz lanyard or any sign of employment. No vehicle make, model, or license plate was given to me so I was not told what to look for either. When dropping off the rental, was not instructed at all on how to do so, even after calling and asking on how to do so. Had to guess on how, and then was called multiple times afterward being told I had done it wrong even though no instructions were given at any point. Even when I had a scheduled pick up time, still had to wait 30-40 minutes at Hertz when I was only the second customer there and that was after already waiting 30 minutes to find the unmarked car to pick me up. Phone is hardly ever picked up and automated phone system difficult to navigate. Disappointing all together

She walked me through everything, gave me a quote that was nearly half the price of the other shop, and even found a used red door that matched my car perfectly, saving me another $200. I never felt like she was trying to upsell or take advantage. I honestly felt like she had my best interest in mind the entire time. The work done is incredible my car looks amazing, they detailed the inside, and I felt so taken care of. I loved the staff so much I kind of wish I could just hang out there! No questions asked, Salem Auto Body got us into the shop as soon as we called, fixed the splash shield within 20 minutes at no cost to us. Friendly staff kept us company while the car was being fixed, and gave us some good restaurant recommendations since we are from out of town. 10/10 experience, thank you!!

    Budget Peabody Review: AWFUL This is my second experience…read moreusing this rental brand's location in Peabody. My latest encounter reminded me of a filming for training purposes only of what a sales representative(s) should never do when dealing with a customer, especially one who has been loyal to the brand. I truly believed that I was maybe on some show that tries to catch you in an unexpected situation recording the way you handle it. Later telling you: Surprise: "You're on Candid Camera". SADLY this was not a joke, they really act that way. Verified now in stone as it was my second such experience with them in a very short time. The staff I have dealt with are rude, uncaring, and do not wish to even make eye contact. The parking area is inadequate, they literally throw the rental key at you, tell you the car is fine (do not take you to see it prior to leaving) they do not tell you where the care is, and couldn't give a darn if you ever come back. My car was located by pressing the unlock button on the key and then following the headlights that went on. This location's staff are appalling, they have no place in any service industry and if Budget wishes to retain their loyal customers my suggestion is either retrain them or let them go. They are harmful to the company. Note: I have had many previous rentals using Budget in various other states in the past. Without exception they have been wonderful, friendly and really flawless encounters. Can't understand why the Peabody location is so awful. You can do so much better.
