DO NOT RENT HERE for UBER Over a 5+ week period I was given 6 different cars that were broken in some way and were not road safe. This location should be shut down and has been reported to the BBB, MA Attorney General's Office and MASS DOT. This location will not help you with refunds or in getting you the car you need, Avis customer service on the phone or online will not help you either. When someone is here customer service is good. They do care about the customer and try to make sure the reservation is correct. I've been here on multiple occasions where no one is in the office. Doors unlocked, no "be back soon" sign. No one answering the phone. I needed to extend a rental and waited almost 20min for someone to come into the office. Completely empty office with lots of car keys, computer equipment, some nice wireless cameras just laying around. Nice people, just need to be more concerned about helping the customer and not having all 3 people ignoring the desk. read more

I am not talking specifically about this store specifically but the company as a whole. We used Avis 3 times in the last 6 months and each time, had major problems. The first time was at the Orlando Airport. We arrived after midnight and went to the counter only to find that counter closed and we had to travel to another terminal to find someone to get us a car. We finally were able to get squared away, found the car and proceeded to leave. However, the person who was supposed to be at the checkout booth was nowhere to be found and the electronic gate was not active. So, we ended up waiting over 20 minutes for the employee to return from where ever. I gave it a pass and tried again later in the year, this time, in St. Louis. Again, poor experience. My wife had to wait over 2 hours in line to get a car. When she did get it, it was in poor shape. She said there was a hole in the windshield of the car and was poorly cleaned. She went back and asked for a new car and was given hassle because she didn't like the one they gave her. Also, they automatically charged for things I said not to because they said it was what they do. I had already booked the last chance much earlier and decided to keep it. Bad choice. Back to Orlando we go and this time, there was someone at the counter. Things went well. I went to get a transponder pass while my wife went to find the truck. She texted me that it wasn't in the slot that was given. After a search, she did find it. However, there was no key to start the truck. We were close to the exit and found the attendant to get help. After a search of the car and a nearby desk, he found it. We tried to start the car to no avail because we were able to determine that the battery was dead. They tried to give us a substitute car, which we did not want because we had plans to us the truck and a car would be too small. They were able to find another truck in another terminal and drove it over. We took it but the truck was not great. The front grill was filled with bug carcasses, the running board on the passenger side had a piece missing, the paint was chipped on the door handle on rear door of the driver side, the windows were poorly if at all washed and the truck bed had not been cleaned. Also, we had warning light come up when we started the truck. The final nail on the coffin came a couple of days ago when I was going through my credit card bill and found $90 + charge. I called to ask what it was and was told that it was a fuel charge for returning it with an empty tank. I told them no, that we filled it just before we got to the airport. They took the charge off. But even if we didn't fill the tank, there still half a tank left so they shouldn't have charged for an empty tank. They were the cheapest option we got what we paid for and are willing to pay more to have a better and more seamless experience next time. read more

WARNING THIS PLACE HAS HORRIBLE CONDITIONED CARS, AND only have all electric cars 99% of the time! Don't fall for their online booking information because it's false. I saw this happen on multiple occasions. Not a 1 off. IMPORTANT ** They have No running water so they can't wash their cars. Told a customer they don't have a restroom, and they likely don't. 1 car I rented had no windshield fluid. 100% dry and a filthy window to look through and 100% blocked visibility in *attempting* to use the rear camera. Another consecutive rental the fluid light was on and fluid close to empty. Took an entire gallon. I tried 3 different cars and the last one was, by far, the worst. A Premium car that sounded like it was driving with a donut and awful shimmying when braking. It was so junky. There was no way it only had 68k miles like the odometer read. No way. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO TO HERTZ OR ANY OTHER FRANCHISE location other than this! read more

I wish I could give this place zero stars. I am currently on hold for the 5th time today, with a rental car with a faulty tire/sensor (they let me leave the lot with a car that had a faulty sensor), and now a flat tire. I am stranded at work, I have been trying to resolve the flat tire since 9am, and they don't pick up the phone when you call. I have been on hold for over 1.5 hours today in total. I was told a supervisor will call me back-they never called back. I was told that a service person would come out to fix the car, but I would have to stay with him the entire time he fixes it. I explained that I was at work, that I could not drop my work as a direct patient care provider and stay with the man to babysit him and that I could not just drop everything I am doing to stay outside. They said, "We will provide services to you, but you have to be available." They refused to accommodate me, as a paying customer. I expressed my concerns about safety and they did not respond. I called again at 3pm, and after waiting on hold for 25 minutes, talked to a dispatcher who transferred me to customer service-the customer service person stated, "We can't help you if you aren't available to stay with our roadside service person" and suggested that I wait in my car at 11:30pm for them to come fix it in the middle of the night. She then said, "You clearly aren't too busy at work if you can be on the phone with me." I explained to her (this is the 4th person I've explained this to), that I had a chunk of time between 3pm and 4pm to meet the roadside person, but they said, "We cannot send him on request or schedule him. He gets there when he gets there." I am currently left without options, except to use an outside service and pay out of pocket for their undrivable car. They are rude, they have zero interest in providing safe transportation for their customers and they are incredibly unreliable. Their cars are dangerous. I will be returning this rental car tomorrow and going with Enterprise, which has always been reliable. Please stay away from this company, they will give you unsafe cars, they will mock you, and they will refuse to take accountability for their errors. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE. read more

Really at a loss of words... made a reservation online, showed up, gave him my credit card, and then for some inexplicable reason he claimed the system could not process the request. i confirmed with my bank that the cards were still active and were not blocking the transaction for fraud. he still said that card wouldn't take. i asked if there was anything he could do... he said no. i tried to brainstorm possible solutions... he shot them all down... i then suggested we cancel the reservation and make a new one right now. he said he couldn't because there was no cars available.... what?????? i asked to speak to his manager... he said he was the only one there... could he call? he said to call Avis. i said " but you are avis, right?! why call when your standing right in front of me." i even offered to go behind the counter see if i could figure it out, and he said no. i asked if he could at least cancel the reservation for us and even that he declined. " you have to do that online" he said. i have never seen someone so disinterested in finding a solution to a problem caused by his own incompetence. again... i am at a loss of words. We were left stranded at the Avis and had to call for a ride. read more

This has to be the WORST customer service I've ever experienced!! The two young girls by the counter are incredibly rude and unprofessional, watching a show on their phones not caring they have customers in front of them by the counter. After having a reservation confirmed on my email, I still called 2 hours before pick up time just to make sure they had my car there and they said yes. Well... No car and they have no problem telling you I'll call you if I have one later. I asked if she can repeat my number and she didn't even had it!! Really bad attitude!! I had my daughter make this car reservation for me, and got a quote for around $400. I went to pick it up, had a rather unfriendly guy come out, and was told I needed all kinds of extra insurance or else I would be accountable for paying them $50,000 for their car. I walked out with an $800 invoice. Come to find out, my own insurance would have covered me. The man was borderline rude, and definitely took advantage of my lack of knowledge. I would never use this company again, and will go back to using Enterprise. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. I made reservations for a car rental at this location online. I had a confirmation and was all set. I take a taxi to this location only to find out there are no cars available. The guy at the counter simply said I have nothing available. Asked where I lived and said it's to far for me to take you. While the gesture was sorta nice I guess. (I don't know you and I'm not about to hop in the car with you). I was still bothered that their system would allow you to make a reservation when nothing is available. 2 other people came in who had been dropped off and made reservations online. My advice... Get a better system, be more apologetic to people when it is a company mistake, and take care of your customers. read more
