What a horrible business - NEVER WORK WITH THEM!!!!!!! I had a car accident and my insurance agency was able to get me a reservation with Enterprise. This location is the nearest location to me and I called them to schedule a pickup at my house. I talked with them, agreed to pay additional money to get a nicer vehicle and agreed that they would pick me up at 5:30. It is now 6:40 - No enterprise; when I called about 5:45 to see where they were I waited on hold over 10 minutes before I finally hung up. So I tried calling but unless you search for an airport location you are limited to only speaking with someone during normal business hours. I talked to 1 person who asked if my claim was through insurance since it was only 6 digits, and then said she could not find my claim but wanted to make me a new reservation. I then asked for a supervisor because I wasn't convenience that a claim was closed and that my insurance company would not be billed so I called Enterprise (if you need to call after their local offices closed the only way to do it is look up the airport location and call them ... this company really wants to help customer's after 6pm). In talking with that joke of a call center - the 1st person could not find my reservation, would not apologize for the issues, and only cared about booking me another reservation. Then I asked for a supervisor so I was put back in the customer service department queue. I asked the 2nd person if they were a supervisor and they were not so they transferred me again. Then I speak with a 3rd person from the "escalation queue" but he could not answer if he was a supervisor. I kept asking and he said "this is the escalation queue" and when I asked why he did not answer my question he would say he did and that he was the escalation queue. This person found it and said it was there but they had to look under the insurance section - which I woudl have thought the 1st person did after acknowledging that it was an insurance claim. So that person said I would have to call the local office tomorrow when they opened and talk with them. I asked why they would not have shown up if the claim was in there and what someone is suppose to do if they were expected the car to get them and did not have alternative options. The answer was "well sometimes things come up and you will have to call the office in the morning to see what happened and schedule them to come get you tomorrow." Moral of the story - if they do not show up it may be because something better came up that they wanted to do. If they have more cars on their lot at the end of the day than they should have they just don't worry about it. If you call the office and they are busy they will put you hold until you hand up. And if you need a rental car, they are happy to help if it fits into their schedule but don't rely on them because if they do not come there is no option except to hope you are in a safe place and did not really need the car when you scheduled to pick it up. Is this really a company worth giving your money to? Also, if you are on the phone with them and you accidentally use a dirty word they will threaten to hang up became apparently no one at Enterprise has used a dirty word in their life while a professional business plays games with them. read more

Needed a rental while my car was in the shop and had trouble coordinating with others for rides. I wouldn't typically pick Enterprise, as they tend to be overly expensive, but I needed a place I could walk to from my house. Upon arrival and return I dealt with the branch manager, who was pleasant and helpful. I had no problems. I have rented from them in the past for a similar short-notice need. They usually have cars available, so it's fairly reliable in this regard. I think you can get a better deal elsewhere, but in a pinch, I'd come back again. read more

One February blizzard my husband hit ice and our "CarCar" was totaled. We went to Enterprise and, though we were one of many that had an accident the previous evening, the processing went smoothly. The clerk was professional and courteous. While in college, I had a car rental company falsely accuse me of causing damage, in truth it was a pre-existing scratch. I wanted to thoroughly inspect the rental vehicle with the employee to avoid a repeated occurence. We looked top to bottom and documented even the slightest defects. We had the vehicle in our possession for 6 days and drove it less than 30 miles. We returned the car and stayed while the employee inspected it. When we were cleared to go we assumed all was well, until two weeks later. We received a letter from Enterprise's regional corporate office stating that we owed $240 for a damaged wheel well. I was livid! It took weeks of phone calls and letters to dispute the claim. While researching complaints against Enterprise I found that other customers had similar experiences, where a bogus damage claim was made, some were exactly the same as mine -- down to the specific details. The maddening element was that the car was not in our possession when the accusation was given. Enterprise finally acquiesced and dropped it, but it was a little too late. I try to avoid Enterprise whenever possible. And when we rent a car we now take photos of EVERYTHING. read more

I left my garage door opener in the SUV i returned, Sabrina and the young man in a suit knew this the following day when i let her know, she said she will call and left a vm to the person who had the car and will let me know asap an update. This was thursday and she did not call back and i had to follow up on Monday. I explained this is the only way i can get into my house and its very important that i get this back as my wife and baby son need access to the garage door when going for walks. I followed up one last time and she said she will call again and will let me know asap. Long story short this was the last time i followed up and she not once called me back. Terrible experience, terrible follow up on a very important manner for me. Its been almost two weeks Sabrina, you could have at least called me and let me know an update. Very unprofessional, not a good look for Enterprise!!! read more

I rented a van from Webster,Ny location and reserved it 7 months in advanced and upon receiving the vehicle it was dirty on the inside and out.After driving vehicle realized that was pulling to the right hard contacted them and was told to exchange van on East Ridge Rd.While exchanging vehicles several of my brand new items were left in the original vehicle,didn't realize until 2 days later after long travel.Contacted them and they called me back saying they had my belongings and would hold them,asked if they could send them to me if I paid for shipping they said No.So I was attempting to collect my belongings after my vacation was over and they said that that my things weren't there.The police were called on me for simply trying to make a police report twice,all the items were brand new with tags still on them over $450 worth of clothes.What do I do next?Better Business Bureau!! read more

NOT GOOD! They quoted me one price and assured me that it would not change. They later billed an unauthorized fee to my credit card for a 1-way return in which the receiving store issued a receipt for $0 (no return fee). I called the store 3 times to get this resolved and was on hold for more than 20 minutes each without being able to speak with someone. This issue is still unresolved. read more

I recently rented from Enterprise and was skeptical with the few stars it had but was pleasantly surprised. I was given an AWESOME!!!!!!! vehicle to take on my vacation! Was driving in luxury and comfort both my mom and I couldn't be more pleased. Would DEFINITELY rent from them again. Price was very reasonable. Rented for a wk and a day. In general, this is a great business, and they make renting and picking up cars very simple. In person the staff are very friendly. However, contacting them by phone is very difficult. Every time I have tried calling the office, I have had to do so multiple times before being connected, and I am usually put on hold for a long time; most recently for 48 minutes. read more

I had a car accident the day before, i rented a car from enterprise and had to play for it out of my own pocket. When i called i had it all arranged and the told me one price and that was ok. Then they asked me what type of car i would like and they gave me 4 choices and i asked for the Malibu. Then one of the representatives call me and went over everything because they had to pick me up and that's when they told me that i had to put $100 deposit on top of the bill that they told me. I had to put money some more money on my credit card because they couldn't use two different cards. So i go there and they were nice to me when i got there but was frustrated because of the $100 extra surprise. Then they asked how i liked the Toyota and i said it was ok. Then they said would like an Altima instead and I said I asked for the Malibu and they said they didn't have any. So. I got the Altima. When i went to return the car I that we were all set and then i looked over the contract and the guy JUSTIN was a smooth talker because i thought he was asking me questions about my insurance didn't know he was going to be charging me for there insurance. They tried charging me 400+ dollars extra. I was ready to walk out and say fu. Then JUSTIN said he would cut it in half. I said no, a lot of bs and i said i was only going to oay for a week because u want to go by contract well then lets go by contract. So I agreed to pay for a week according to the contract. WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I WOULD GIVE THEN ONE STAR BUT I HAD TOO TO WRIGHT A REVIEW. read more
