Travel has been a bit of a whirlwind lately and I was hoping to rent something familiar. Apparently they do not rent out sports cars from the airport. My daily ride is a v8 camaro, and I was hoping for something similar from here. I had reserved a full size car, ended up in a decent sized Ford SUV. Not my favorite car in the world - the infotainment screen and operation was not user friendly for someone not familiar with the Ford products. Otherwise, it drove okay. The drop off was easy and pickup was fairly routine, just sign the contract and get the key. read more

Amazing service. I would say it is the best experience for car rental in ROC airport. Had two trip with Hertz in ROC which was terrible. This time at Enterprise they give me a brand new Honda Odyssey. Only less than 2000 miles on that car. Nice experience! I will definitely rent with enterprise again. read more

Reserved a specific car weeks in advance. Travel over 2000 miles across the country and was given a lesser car. Poor customer service. No call or warning that the car wouldn't be there and the tenant didn't even care like this was normal. You pay for a service you get, nothing less. I want my money back. read more

I've always been loyal to Enterprise because of the great customer service and this location is no exception. I first rented an Armada that had some issues but Alexandra, Pat and Jason all helped to make it 200% right. Rented a car in September from Enterprise for a week. In December, they mysteriously billed my credit card for three weeks. I have now contacted them ten times about the charge, have been promised several times that management would contact me, but have not heard from anyone. I finally had to dispute the charge with the credit card company, filed a complaint with the BBB, and am still awaiting the courtesy of a reply. What a poorly run branch! Update: I once again provided Enterprise customer service with everything they requested, and they promised a reply from the branch - which I have not received. In the meantime, they sent me a threatening collection letter, postmarked ten days after I had responded to their first letter. Today they refused to give me contact info so I can get ahold of the branch manager (I have been requesting the branch manager contact me for four months - but have not been granted that courtesy), and they also told me that cannot give any time frame as to when my complaint will be addressed. Their customer service department is a bureacratic mess that sends you nice replies - but actually doesn't do anything. read more

Absolutely atrocious. We rented a car from Denver Airport location, and the back end started shaking as soon as we hit the highway. We attempted to contact the Denver location, but were given the run-around by their corporate customer service. We eventually were given a new car, which we returned with a full tank of gas- they charged me $30 for gas because their "system was broken". I was offered a $40 refund, but when the money was placed back on my card, my card was then charged another $40. This happened an additional 3 times, so I finally requested a check that would "take 2-3 months", and still has not arrived 4 months later. read more

Dropped my car off with a full tank and found that I was charged with an additional fueling charge. Additionally when I rented the car I was not provided with a rental agreement and called to receive one. One was not received for the trip even after calling. Further, the car was listed as a premium and the seats were quite uncomfortable. I highly do not recommend their service. read more

The VW in September only had a USB-C outlet which is the standard in Europe but I needed a regular USB connection. There were no other cars to lend me. I was about to head to Best Buy for an adapter when the garage manager, Joe Yacono, came running over waving a USB-C cord from his own car which he loaned me for the weekend. It was service above and beyond. I also want to praise the young man, Sylvester?, working behind the desk inside the airport. Extraordinarily friendly and helpful. I've had a lot of good experiences renting cars, but this stood out as one of the best. Thank you Enterprise for getting my stay in the Rochester area off to a good start. read more

One of the weakest rental car places I've ever been to... I've rented here three times and received some terrible cars (and it's not like I asked for them either). I received a Dodge Neon (sans automatic locks/windows), then a Ford Focus (without the same), and finally a KIA Sedona (which they sounded like they were doing me a favor). Even some of the more cheaper rental places have better cars than this lot! read more

Hands down the best rental car experience of my life. Scratch that. The best service experience of my life-- of any service. How's that possible- for a rental car? I missed my Chicago flight to Rochester, and the only one we could get on was 10 hours later, arriving at Midnight. And yes, enterprise closes at 9pm. Since my B&B was 2 hours away in Watkins Glen, prepaid-- I had no option of getting a taxi or shuttle to a hotel near the airport, I would be stranded there all night if not for Enterprise. AND WHAT's THIS? AN ANGEL WORKS AT ENTERPRISE? This is what the incredible samaritan at Enterprise did. He gave me his personal #, since he got off at 6pm, so I could call when my flight got in, when he left his house and drove to the airport to get my husband and I a car to drive to the B&B. Apparently his wife's car blocked his, so his family picked him up and drove him to the airport. Is that unbelievable or what? Abso-freakin-lutely incredible. I could hardly believe it. I told my friends at the Farm Sanctuary about it, and they said-- "Was it Enterprise?" Apparently they are known for being awesome. read more

Always come to this counter first. Make sure to check here first and come back for your bags!!! Have to go to the counter to do the reservations. They even provide water while you are in line. Usually available and do the usual things to make the reservation streamline. Great to pick up vehicles. read more

I had to rent a car on Friday and without getting into the nitty-gritty, Chris made the whole process nearly pain free (nothing could be done about the wait, but hey, they're popular for good reason). He was upbeat and super helpful. His five-star customer service squarely beat the other Enterprise location across the street from the airport. I'm starting to standardize a bit on using Enterprise when I'm traveling, even when it's a few dollars more. At least in the Rochester and Raleigh locations we're at most, the staff have great. The bottle of free (and nicely cold!) water is really appreciated and they didn't try to guilt-trip me into insurance I don't need or gas fill up (they just quickly ask and drop it). This REALLY matters to me when I'm stressed and rushing to an appointment. The experience is usually very fast at the ROC location (and the times it's been long, I really have to blame someone ahead of me with a million questions/changes, etc.-- ProTip: Please book online folks!) If you are a Costco member, the upgrade/discount seems good, and I was told once by the desk person that my price for the week was as low as they've seen. read more

Mike was working and said he stayed late just in case the few late flights needed a car. He was great to deal with and super patient with me while I fumbled for my wallet and ID. I rent all the time from them for work and I always get the Collision Damage Waiver has I'm not paying for it and never had damage so what a waste of money, but this last weekend I rented a car for myself and almost said NO to the Collision Damage Waiver just to save a little money. So glad I said yes cause I hit a deer! Not to bad but it did mess up the hood and grill. Called it in and they made sure we all where safe FIRST before getting the info needed. I returned the car and it was GREAT only billed for the days I had the car. read more

I made a reservation through Expedia. Example cars listed in the 'Intermediate' category included 'Toyota Corolla or a Toyota Prius or similar.' What I got was a Ford Focus. My fiancee owns a Prius and I can tell you the Focus is no Prius. When I went to refill the car before returning it, I found I had to put in nearly 3 gallons (2.8 to be exact) after driving a total of 50 miles. So, either the Ford Focus gives 17-18 mpg or when I got the car from Enterprise it had less than a full tank. Care to guess which I think is more likely? The last time I rented from Enterprise was 4-5 years. I suspect it will be a similar duration before I give Enterprise another try. read more

These fricken idiots cannot do their jobs . They accepted a car rental over the phone from my mother on her card.... we went to pick up the car got there gave the card to them.... they say because it is a debit card with a credit line i need a utility bill and a bank statement connected to the card or a pay stub...the young man at the desk looked at the card handed it back and said i needed those things.... i drove from rochester airport back to canandaigua in my broken down chevy cavalier.. i got the paperwork and returned to pick up my beautiful new rental which i would then drive to cleveland for the weekend... when i gave him the card he starts the paperwork then looks up and says which one of you are KATHLEEN? I am a 200 pound 25 year old man who clearly isnt kathleen.... he then proceeds to tell me after adding three unbearable hours to my trip that i CANNOT rent the car that we reserved over the phone or any others either. I took my cavy to cleveland and back... the brakes and tires r shot the weather was awful and the lights dont work well.... long story short i rear ended another vehicle coming into buffalo because of hazardous traffic conditions. Now my car is wrecked because i was forced to take it on a trip i knew it wouldnt make. I gave them the card 10 times during our "transaction" and never once did he look at the name on it. These people are terrible at there jobs, they are discourtious and incompetent... for your own sake DO NOT RENT VEHICLES FROM THEM ... you will regret it! read more

I renter a car there Oct 16, 2009 and everything went fine. Delta airlines had lost my bags, and after many calls & getting little info from them, and Delta refusing to call their Rochester office to see if my bags were there, I gave up on Delta and asked a woman at the Enterprise desk (morning of Oct 17) to please walk 100 m over to to the Delta baggage claim to look for my bag. She kindly agreed, found it, and called me right back. This shows clearly what is wrong with Delta Airlines, and what is right about Enterprise. If a company wants to have loyal customers, they need to show a little extra. Enterprise staff there in ROC went above the call of duty, and Delta came in way below expectations. read more

Reserved a premium suv. Only to get a truck that doesn't have working bluetooth or auxiliary ports. After returning and waiting 30/45 minutes for the staff to attempt to get it working. They gave in, and gave me a much better vehicle, same year and model. But a TRUE premium rental!! I was truly dissapointed. read more

Workers were friendly and professional. All good scores there. Car was fine. BUT THAT LOCATION OF THE BOOTH where a customer picks up their car? Seriously? Couldn't Enterprise at least get the booth INSIDE the garage like other rental agencies? This is Rochester, NY for godsake, Not Orlando FL. I cannot imagine standing outside waiting in line for our car with other customers when it is cold and rainy or snowy. There is not even an awning to stand under! We were lucky it wasn't pouring rain this past weekend, on top of the early October cold. We feel sorry for both workers and customers. read more

The only part of our cross-country trip that went smoothly was our experience with enterprise. Thomas was extremely friendly and checked us in lightning-fast. When we walked out to pick up the vehicle, the other Tom had it out front, running and ready to go. He helped us load our bags and we were off in no time in a beautiful and comfortable vehicle. To our surprise, Tom was there to meet us when we dropped the car back off, which was equally quick and painless. Tom even remembered the purpose of our trip and asked if it was successful as he graciously helped us unload our bags in the rain! Tom was also went out of his way to set our bags down away from the puddles that were forming, and then another very friendly young man helped us move them out of the rain. The customer service here can't be beat! I'd give them 100 stars if I could! read more

I always have had great experience with Enterprise - to the point I don't shop around the different rental companies anymore. During my last trip (for my aunt's funeral), I came out of a restaurant and saw that the right rear tire pressure was low - at 27 pounds. Since I was staying at the Holiday Inn next to the airport, I suggested I drop it off and exchange it for another vehicle instead of rely on roadside assistance. We made the switch at 10:30 PM (no charge for the 1/4 tank of gas I had used), and I made it to my aunt's funeral the next morning. Thank you, Enterprise! read more

My first trip to Rochester, with plane scheduled to land at 11:20 pm. I wondered what awaited me at that late hour - and what if plane were late. Enterprise assured me by phone that they would wait until the plane landed - even if late. At close to midnight, the staff was pleasant and efficient. Being short, I reserved a small car. When asked if I wanted a free upgrade, I asked for a car that sits "high" and got a Kia Sport that was perfect for my size and travel needs. Processing was fast and smooth. Not a single complaint.
