Not judging Enterprise as a whole, but the Eugene Station sucks. We had a 4:00 pm return and got there at 2:10. Even though there were agents on the lot, they wouldn't let us return the car. They gave us vague directions to a lot two blocks away. We had to drag our luggage across a busy street to wait for our Uber. The whole time they were opening the moving cars around. From start to finish my rental experience couldn't have gone smoother. Billy couldn't get me my Economy model so he upgraded me and knocked $$$ off the price. Upon return I had forgotten to bring the gas back up to what I left with. They only charged me for 2 gallons which was very acceptable. So I'm not a typical rental car user. I actually only rent cars every now and then so it's always kind of exciting when I do. I needed a rental for a business trip out of town so like every other young responsible professional, I called a week in advance to make my reservation including a pick up from my house. The day before my pick up I called in to just double check my reservation and to confirm the pick up time. Between cramming for and taking 5 finals, packing, getting all of my paperwork together a pick up was a god send. 2 pm rolled around with no knock at the door, or car out front and I started panicking. I call in and start freaking out on the poor guy on the other end. Apparently someone had entered me into the computer as a "maybe" reservation...aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! The young man (the manager) calmly looked into the situation and made arrangements for someone to come out right away. I was picked up and taken to the enterprise office where the young man who I had been on the phone with accommodated my whole panicked situation calmly and with so much professionalism that I almost almost forgot that I was beyond stressed out. Well when one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong right? So my card that I had used to confirm the reservation was not being accepted by their system. I almost passed out, lol. But the young man that was helping me out was so amazing, he thought outside the box and took care of the whole situation without losing me as a customer and getting me into a car and on my way as fast as possible. I spent a week getting money and making plans only to arrive at 8am and find out I was supposed to have 2 different forms NEVER mentioned on their website (it literally tells you over and over again that you just need a Driver's License and Credit Card). IF YOU PAY WITH A DEBIT CARD YOU NEED 2-3 PROOFS. PROOF OF INCOME. PROOF OF UTILITY BILL. PROOF OF INSURANCE. Apparently, having a debit card and being paid unemployment makes me untrustworthy?? I have income, I have all this proof they wanted, but I wasn't "allowed" to rent. I just needed to drive 2 hours to a job interview.... Obviously I'm never going to rent from Enterprise again. And definitely NOT going to recommend to my equally low-income friends. Enterprise Rent-A-Car can suck rocks. read more

i have rented a car from here on about 5 different occasions. the agents are always incredibly friendly. i always rent for the weekend deal ($10/day), so the charge is always cheap. twice now, i've returned the rental going over the allotted miles (100 per day = 300 for the whole weekend) and the agent has waived the over-mileage fee, without my even requesting it. once, they gave me a leaf (electric car) when i was just staying in town (at no extra charge). it was great. I didn't have to pay for any gas the whole weekend. i never feel hassled here to add on extra insurance or anything (which has ALWAYS happened to me when i rent from any dealership at an airport location). when they give me a ride home after i've returned the car, they are nice and chatty on the ride. read more

I usually rent at the airport but came in on a busy weekend and was forced to have to make the trip into town to this location to pick up a car. I had thought the location, staff, customer service and car selection would be in line with what I have come to expect at the airport but was very disappointed with all as mentioned. I got a car with banged up wheels, stains on all the seating surfaces as well as scrapes, rubs on the bumpers and quarter panels. I wouldn't rent from here again, even when and if it is cheaper. read more

I have always rented from Enterprise and would usually give wonderful reviews. I recently had to rent a car due to my car being in the shop after getting rear ended. The gal that picked my up was very nice and friendly. Even gave me an upgrade when she saw that I drove a small SUV. when I returned the vehicle the very next day, they also treated me well. I even saw a young man just take a verbal bearing from someone on the phone. I told him to let it go and not to let it affect his day. They took the customary $50 deposit and said it would be refunded as soon as they get the claim information. That was two weeks ago. When I checked my online banking, I noticed they charged me an additional $21.50. When I called about it, a young man stated they have a new manager and didn't bill it to the motor vehicle insurance with my claim number. Since it didn't get done, she just charged me the balance due, without even calling me. Now, I have to wait to see who is going to refund me the money. $71.50 may not be a big deal to some people, but, Mother's Day is this weekend and I wanted to treat my mom and daughter in law out. This just makes me unsure if I want to do business with a manger that doesn't have the courtesy to call customers or bill out to motor vehicle claims properly. Maybe she needs a little more training. I may up the rating if I hear back in a timely manner on when and who will refund me. read more

This place has a great selection, really competitive prices and helpful staff - cool folks, flexible with me on some shifting dates I had, and set me up with a better car than I'd anticipated. Come the day I was leaving, I went and and got told I couldn't rent a car with an interim license. I rent cars fairly frequently for both work and leisure reasons. I hadn't used Enterprise in a while. Recently I needed a 15 passenger van for a group activity and there was an Enterprise location 2 blocks from work, so I figured I'd try it. I called about a month ahead and was told it wouldn't be a problem getting the van, so I made sure of our group size and plans and called back later to reserve the van. The call center guy made a point of calling the local office to confirm that the van would in fact be available and he said that it would be and finalized the reservation. At 9am on the day of the reservation (noon pickup) I received a call that there wasn't a van and that the reservation shouldn't have been made in the first place. I could only find one other van in town on only 3 hours notice and it was twice as much to rent. The Enterprise guy suggested I reschedule for another day! Needless to say I won't be using Enterprise again. read more

This business is DISHONEST. Watch your back with them: check invoices, double-check the charges made to your credit/debit card account, take photos of the car with a time and date stamp when you return to them. I have rented from them a handful of times and half the times they are good, smooth transactions. The other half of the time, they are trying to overcharge/rip me off. It is disappointing that I have had to talk with them a number of times for overcharging me (sneaking in an extra day's worth of rental charges for a car that was returned on time). read more

The service and friendly staff were fantastic! I've read several reviews complaining about not getting a car they reserved, or not having a car there at all. The reservation system is flawed because when you reserve there is no deposit to insure you are actually going to show up to get the car. I'm sure if they held every reservation that was made they would NEVER have cars available, and at least half the reserved cars would never be picked up. So a lot half filled with reserved cars that have not been paid for would mean a short time until bankruptcy! This is not unique to this location or Enterprise. It is a very flawed reservation system that causes the problems. My solution: Get there as early as possible to pick up your car. When I got there at 8 am the lot was full of cars and I had a choice of 2 cars that were both what I had reserved. The young lady that helped me was great! I was in and out of there in minutes, and when I returned the car I got a ride home within minutes even though they were very busy at the time. Unfortunately, I don't recall the young lady's name but she was great! I've read complaints about the people helping you asking questions like, "where you heading", "do you have family there" things like that. I just want to get this straight, are people REALLY complaining because the staff was being friendly?!!! It's the silliest complaint I have ever heard! If you're so paranoid that you think these folks are gathering some kind of secret info on you it's time to seek professional help! REALLY. read more

I was very satisfied with my experience at this location. I arrived around 4 pm. It's true that I didn't get the car I booked on-line - a compact car - but not a problem. We received amazing customer service from this location. We were blown away by how everyone went out of their way to help us (myself and 4 boys) before and after a recent road trip. I was pretty stressed out when Billy arrived to pick us up at our house to take us to the rental agency. His great attitude, calmness, and smile immediately put me at ease and lowered my stress level greatly. Not only did he pick us up, he picked up my son's friend from his house on our way! And he did it with a smile. Thank you Billy! The transaction continued to go quickly and smoothly once we got to the counter. As if all of that wasn't enough, Gracie, another employee, insisted on unpacking and repacking all of our thrown in/squeezed in luggage. We had brought a ton of things: our luggage, food and sleeping mats for the 5 of us for the weekend. Gracie was so very patient with us and left us with room to spare! Unbelievable! I rented the car for two days. Returned it on time everything in check. A week and a half later I was charged for *FIVE* days. I get an apology, "we made a mistake, we will refund your money". Five days pass and I was refunded for only two of the additional days when they overcharged me for three. Happy birthday me! This was a very disappointing experience. I drove from Corvallis to get my daughter a rental car after an accident left her carless, bruised and upset. I live in southern Oregon and was headed back home, so I was very short on time. The Corvallis store called ahead and got paperwork started and called the manager in Eugene to insure that they had cars. When we arrived, the young girl was extremely rude and requested a credit card rather than debit. They would not accept cash or check. I understand policy, but the girl was so rude that my daughter broke I to tears and left within 1 minute of conversation with the employee. Would never recommend this enterprise and hope that the employee that helped us and seemed to lack empathy does not choose a career that deals with the public. read more

I reserved a car a week in advance. I called the morning of before picking up my vehicle to assure it would be there, and I was reassured that they would have a vehicle ready for me. My sister and I ended up waiting over an hour and a half for a car. They upgraded us, but only because they didn't have an economy car to offer. Also, super crappy that you can't return past noon on Saturdays or at all on Sundays. I had to pay for four days when I truly only needed it for two, so it actually would have been more affordable and more convenient for me to check out a carshare car for just two days...after all of the added expenses and wasted time. I called to reserve a car one week in advance. Katherine was very helpful. The morning of the day we were going to arrive in Eugene, I called to confirm our reservation. Ron was a bit rude and could not find it using our last name or comfirmation number. I called back and got Katherine, she found it. We reserved a car for 1:30 and were picked up at the Amtrak station. Arriving at Enterprise, I was surprised there were just two people staffing the office at their busiest time. The phones were ringing off the hook and we heard Ron and Misty were at lunch. The office was dirty, trash spilling over the bins and they did not have our car. When I explained we had to be at a talk by a Noble Peace Prize winner at 4, they gave us the first car that came in. It was raining, so we did a walk around the vehicle and it looked good. When we returned the car, they crawled underneath and found some obscure piece of the grille under the bumper that was missing. It was like they knew what to look for. Very fishy. This office has a feeling of chaos. read more

Never renting here again. ever. When we returned the rental the other day (and we rent a lot of cars all the time) the clerk came out to check the car for damages, and found something that we clearely didn't do to the car, it looked like the bumper was being pulled off or something pushing it it would fix it really. BUT this woman was SO eager and happy to charge us $500 out of pocket. I thought she was going to start shaking with how exciting it was for her. I have never had any problems anywhere in the country, it was not a crash or bump damage, it looked like the car is just old and falling apart. This place has old, dirty cars. This rental had a hole from a cigarette in the passenger seat . thank god I marked it in the damage check when renting, or this clerk would have been even more happy to charge another $500. I will never EVER rent here again, and the franchisee should really think about customer service more and not over charging with dumb fees. I am sending a complaint to the enterprise head quarters as well. read more
