I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Enterprise location. Before traveling here, I was told by MARWA that my rent statement would be accepted as proof of residence. Based on that information, I spent time and money traveling from the Manhattan to Long Island to complete my reservation. Once I arrived, I was told something completely different and informed that my documentation would not be accepted. The issue is not the policy itself, the issue is being given inaccurate information that caused me to waste valuable time, money, and transportation costs. If a document is not acceptable, customers should be told that before making the trip, not after they arrive at the counter. I would strongly encourage management to ensure employees provide accurate and consistent information so customers can make informed decisions before traveling to the branch. i read more

I have a friend who is involved in a Hit and Run situation. Unfortunately this was a rental from this branch. The accident occurred at 2pm and waited almost 3 hrs for police to arrive but nypd never arrived nor call back as of today writing this review. The friend called insurance company around 4pm and at 540pm arrived at the rental car because insurance company said to go back to rental car and return the car and get another one. The office wad already closed but Anthony came and heard my friend story saw the video of hit and run and worked after hours to ensure my friend had a working car instead of waiting until next day. This made a HUGE difference in my opinion. And it's because of people like ANTHONY that will want me to keep coming back to Enterprise for future rental. read more

Got a company through my company and it was supposed to be a Chevy with no miles but ended up with a Toyota with miles over 50,000 with the check engine light on and maintenance require. The car had scratches and the front bumper were loose. When spoke to someone about this they ignored and said its okay it was already documented. They have the worst male customer service, they are rude and make you wait. They have 3 agents helping one customer while there is a line out the door. read more

I had a pleasant experience renting a car in this location. My usual go-to is the airport location but the time of pick up and drop off was suitable for this office anyway. I went inside and was assisted within 5-10 mins by Desiree. She was very lovely and personable! She showed me the car that I reserved, we went around it for inspection, and did the transactions through the tablet. No need for paperworks, I was out and about quickly. I went to this location because it's a mile from my home. Reserving online was super easy. I got there and everything was going well until the agent helping me kept pushing me to add on insurance. I told her 2 times that I was not getting it and continues to give me a speech about life of why I should. For the 3rd time I said no and she commented " Wow, thats the first time I meet someone who doesn't get it". Which to me is unprofessional and if someone doesn't wish to get it, it shouldn't be her concern unless you are getting a cut on the extra charges. Stay in your lane. Upon returning the car, I let them know that the windshield wiper wasn't working properly. The manager which I found was to be polite offered me an upgrade on my next car. I think I will give them another try. I have had much better experiences with other rental car agents and places. I hope they work on their professionalism. read more

I have been renting cars from the New Hyde Park location of enterprise for almost 15 years, but yesterday, I had the absolute WORST experience I have ever had. My daughter had a reservation to rent a car. She went in. The only person there at the time was the manager named Melissa. I couldn't even tell she was a manager. She was dressed unprofessionally, and she was wearing jeans and a hoodie. My daughter paid for her reservation and called me to discuss everything she added to it, and she told me they charge a daily fee for roadside assistance. In my experience, roadside assistance used to be included without an extra fee, but I guess that's changed now. So I told my daughter to let me talk to the person she was dealing with. She put me on the phone with Melissa. I asked her if it was possible to get a manager discount on the price so I could purchase roadside assistance and not have to pay too much. Her response to me was that what I was asking was "unethical." This was so bizarre to me, I had to question it a few times wondering why on earth she was calling me unethical so her clarification was "if I do this for you it will be unethical for me." Which is literally the same thing. She went back and forth with me, justifying that my asking for a discount was unethical. I was losing brain cells talking to her, so I told her alright, fine, I'll pay that price and just give my daughter the car. The call ended, but a minute later, my daughter called me back from outside the enterprise store, saying Melissa canceled her reservation and said she no longer "wanted" to give her the car. Never in my life have I experienced a salesperson refuse business. This was a shock to me. Since Melissa didn't give my daughter a car, I had to go pick up my daughter and so I walked back inside the store, I went to Melissa to let her know that accusing me of encouraging unethical behavior and then canceling the reservation over a minor back and forth on discounts was nasty and wholly unprofessional. So I took my daughter to another enterprise to get a car and once they put her name in the system, they told us they won't give us a car because Melissa sent around the message to all enterprise locations that we should not be given a car. She became vindictive and took a personal vendetta against me and my daughter all because I asked for a discount?? The only reason I think for her overreaction is that she is either racist or thinks she owns the place and can do anything she wants to. She did mention arrogantly that she has been working at that shop for 5 years. She needs to be demoted from a manager position. She definitely doesn't understand the basic management principle that any conflict between customer and management is a spark. The manager has 2 buckets to use , one filled with water and one filled with gasoline. She definitely used the gasoline bucket. She needs to be disciplined and trained well. Message to Sr management: I want senior management to open an inquiry on the incident and report back to us If no action is taken, I would assume management support Melissa's action and then take this matter to good business bureau and consumer affair as case of rascism and or Enterprise creating monopoly by buying other companies and not providing the best services to the consumers. Made a reservation for a 8:30am pickup and arrived at 9:30and vehicle was not available. I even confirmed the pick-up day prior and you will think they will have the decency to have a vehicle ready. I never rented a car before so i was skeptical. I am only 20 so i did not think i can even rent a car. However, they rented me a car but just charged an underage fee which I completely understood. The car they gave me was a brand new Nissan Sentra with only 100 miles on it which was great. They picked me up from my house and everything. I was so happy with my service. Lee and kolby were amazing employees! They made me very happy especially Kolby! I asked him so many questions because I didn't know what to expect with renting. My experience with Enterprise was quite delightful. I was contacted by one of the managers, notifying me that my vehicle was being prepared and would be ready by 12pm. I told him that I would be available at 430PM and he arranged to have me picked up and brought back to the rental office where I would pick up my car. I was picked up by a very nice young woman named Erin whom was polite and professional. She made some small talk on the ride back to the office and was quite pleasant. I reserved at one price, but on arrival, I was told my car was given away, and I would have to go for the larger vehicle at a price increase of $125.00 What choice did I have? I needed the car. I was involved in a car accident in Pennsylvania and my insurance company only lets me rent from Enterprise. I was given a car there with a nonworking horn and seatbelt so once I got back to NY I had to trade it in at this branch. Proving that Enterprise does not check their cars beforehand to make sure they work and are cleaned properly,my 9 year old son found an insulin needle in the backseat. Thankfully he gave it to me because I would hate to think if a younger child found it and thought it was a toy. I was in a horrific car accident and thankfully was able to walk away from the accident with slight injuries. The gentlemen at Enterprise, more specifically, Lee and Nick were so compassionate and willing to make me feel secure, especially getting back in a car after what had happened to me. Lee then explained to me in great detail the new "buyer" program they now offer. He put me on the phone directly with a sales person and explained to me in great detail who to meet with and what the program was like. I had a really great experience at this location. I had reserved a car for a 9:30 pickup. When I got there Tyler asked me if a Chevy Cruz would be ok. I said that is fine. We went to look at the car and everything seemed good with the car. He was about to hand me the key when he told me wait a minute I need to check something out. He then asked me if I plan to take the car on the parkway. I thought it was a strange question but I said yes. I asked why I cannot take this car. He said because it has commercial plates from Louisiana. If a cop saw me in this car I would have got a ticket. I want to thank Tyler for being observant and noticing the commercial plates. It was like pulling teeth to get the branch manager to do it! 3 days and I had to draft the letter for her! I had to call corporate, and get nasty on the phone AND I STILL DO NOT HAVE THE LETTER. Our experience with Tyler returning our rental car was totally unsatisfactory! He spent 20 minutes trying to find scratches on the returned car! He found an insignificant and pre-existing scratch and then wrote it up in an accident report that is expected to result in additional repair charges! He is the Assistant Branch Manager and is on a campaign to establish himself as the King of the Insignificant Scratches. Beware and do not subject yourself to this type of scam. It's the oldest car rental scam in the book and Tyler thrives on it. We were there returning the car for an hour and a half! This experience definitely ruined our trip! this specific enterprise dealership is THE worst branch that ive ever been to. This past week , my husband and i decided to rent a car over the duration of 7 days. the young lady named kyra who works there must be new (im being nice) ; because dhe told us one price which was wrong and of course significantly higher; while on the other hand the real price we saw online and at the other branch in oceanside was cheaper. warning sign number 1! when we called to let them know that we were returning the car, a guy named chris came on the phone claiming to be the manager, when in actuality he is NOT. warning sign no.2! he was extremely rude to my husband on the phone when my husband asked what are these extra charges that are on our contract? the price without tax to rent the car was $177 and with the tax was $212;which the girl kyra told us! this is the price that we agreed upon , yet she took it upon herself to spike the price up significantly to $246!! the so-called manager ( who we later found out wasnt)said in a very sarcastic and undermining tone that he didnt care when we returned ir, but that we still would be getting charged an extra day fee; when the girl kyra told us that if we returned the car by the 7th day by closing time at 6 pm, we would not be charged a $35 late fee. to make matters worse, we were on vacation snd if we had known this beforehand, we wouldve made arrangements to leave the night before!! to make a long story short, this particular branch in floral park is completely SHADY and will tell you one price in person and even on the contract, but when you go back in to return the car, you will lose your mind when they tell yiu the exorbitant amount of money that you "supposedly" owe!! in this economy , people are working WAY too hard to get con'ed into a price that they did not initally agree upon. to think that there are slick, shady people out there makes me sick yo my stomach. they need to either fire this girl kyra(who has NO clue what she is doing whatsoever, or train her extensively so that she has some sort of clue as to what shes doing. the customer service via phone was horrendous; so overall DO NOT GO HERE!!!! save ur money& sanity PLEASE. read more

I had been given a car at another office but found that it reeked of cigarette smoke. When I contacted Ali at the Floral Park office, she immediately went out of her way to correct the situation.
