I came here to rent a car yesterday (Saturday) while my own is being repaired in a shop nearby. Staff at Enterprise was professional, and the pick-up process was smooth. However, the manager informed me that there was a low inventory of undamaged cars. He gave me a Chevy Camaro with front bumper damage, which the customer service representative noted on my receipt. The customer sitting next to me was returning her rent a car. She said that she also had been given a damaged one and that she was Blessed to make it back to New York alive. She claimed that the car was barely operable. The interior of the Camaro is dusty. It might not have been sanitized before I drove it off the lot. Enterprise has jeopardized my health in these days of increasing COVID-19 risk levels. I had to sanitize the car myself with my own wipes. The oil indicator light came today, Mother's Day, signaling low oil, and because all Enterprise offices are closed today, except the airport ones which the at-fault driver's policy does not allow me to use, I am unable to exchange this car for another one. Tomorrow I plan to get an exchange at another Enterprise office--one with a higher inventory of undamaged cars and better Yelp reviews. read more

I must say these young men are very accomdating and professional. Very grateful this rental is located in my home town.

We rented a car at the Lisbon, Portugal Airport. We booked months prior to the trip to ensure we reserved a car big enough to fit our family and luggage. When we arrived, the car we rented was not available. We were told, "That's all we have" and "I think [your luggage] will fit." We made it fit, barely. We also had reserved a car seat for $100, but we had brought a booster seat on the plane, so when arranging the rental at a kiosk with no assistance we indicated that we did not need a carseat in the system. No car seat was given to us. A week later we returned the car, and when we received the final bill we were charged for a car seat we never received. I called Enterprise customer service. They told me to call the local office at Lisbon Airport. That office said they would review and get back to me. They didn't. I wrote multiple emails. They didn't respond. I spoke to Enterprise customer service again. They said they would review and get back to me. They never did. I will never use Enterprise again.​​​ read more

The car was dirty and needed an alignment or wheel balance so that's bad already. I was also told that if I dropped off the car a day early then it would be prorated, but it never was and the store manager is conveniently not available the three times I've tried to call him since we spoke after dropping off the vehicle. read more

I explained my concerns to Brandel Babb and he called me the morning of the rental pick-up to inform me of his results. My car was damaged while parked on the street and I needed a rental while the repairs were completed nearby at State Auto Body. Enterprise came to the rescue! This was a hassle free rental car experience. Joel. B contacted me once my insurance requested a rental and offered to pick me up to show me what vehicles he had in stock. I was first shown a lavish Infiniti SUV which was beautiful but out of my daily budget and insurance coverage budget. I was looking for a very basic NISSAN Altima and within an hour he delivered the car to my door step. He explained the process and completed the prescreen form with me. I provided my license and chose the $8.99 bumper to bumper protection plan in the event of another mishap and BAM I was back on the road again. The only thing I was unhappy about was the intense cigarette or cigar odor in interior of the vehicle. It was so nauseating I had to buy a Smoke be gone Febreeze air vent freshener. Experiencing an accident is a stressful set back and Enterprise aims to keep you moving forward literally. They had the car I wanted, provided excellent 1st class service and communication. I went to Enterprise, Hempstead location to rent a vehicle last week and the transaction went smoothly. I even had to extend my rental days and they didn't give an issue or anything. The staff is very attentive and friendly. They greet, meet, pick up, delivery, offer more info you need, answer any questions, and make sure you leave knowing everything you need to know. Curtis helped with my rental and Tim (manager) helped as well. Even Shai did a follow up call. I've been going to this Enterprise for many many years and with the manager and staff members I met last week, they definitely have it all together. Went in without a reservation (I thought my auto body shop made a reservation). Sarah said we had to wait. No problem, there were a handful of people waiting before us. When she started taking people that walked in after us, I questioned how much longer we had to wait. She said we had to wait another two hours until all her reservations were done and they were closing before she could help us with a rental car- and that was after waiting 45 minutes initially. In what world does this make sense? I walked out, went to Hertz and was back home in 20 minutes with a rental car. Too bad Enterprise missed out on my great rental insurance coverage. read more

Hi everyone. I want to explain what is wrong with this business and why you find so many complains about people being extra charged , double charged, cases of upsale, etc at this location and other Franchise locations, and why those people, and maybe you can't have your money back even after contacting the corporation Franchise seller. I also noticed that many people complain about similar amount of money being owned by this location particularly. It is about 270 dollars. looks like NJ's owner of Franchise is short certain amount monthly to keep business profitable, because of with such terrible quality of both cars I was given there, that is obvious that they can't compete with others, so they, and it is not only case with this business, but many other types of businesses in provinces, who due to lack of income develops strategies to rob people! I am one of the people who was deceived on insurance claim rental for 30 days at this location. I encounter a road scam in Hempstead conducted by group of people from Medina's Finest Autobody, who at that moment looked as just helpful and responsible people who after being guilty in a road accident had their fault admitted, and rented for me a car. Few days later though, I had to call police to take my car away from their parking lot to another repair shop in NYC, car that they kept as a ransom. (That business has been under law suits and all governmental organizations punishments since then, and is facing revocation of license and prison for offenders). But, on July 13 of 2018 i didn't know anything yet, and had a car rented by Medina, at this location, and of course had damage waiver, since those people pay. Few days later, after calling police on Medina, I had to switch to my insurance rental, and rented at the same Enterprise location, as it is just few blocks away from those peps auto body shop. When I was conduction a rental, I asked to make sure I pay nothing out of the packet and we had chosen a car under 50$ a day. 30 days passed, I returned a car in NYC where I live, had 1 day of extra, and charge of 278.69 of DAMAGE WAIVER that they not supposed to include. I of course checked a rental agreement on July 18, when i had a second rental, but it was blank. I called costumer support many times and after first time it looked like there was a pending refund on my bank account, but then it disappeared. I called again and again along 4 months and was fed by answers like "someone will contact you in 5 business days"; "There is no such thing in our policy that guaranties to you any responses in 5 business days - supervisor on second time replied; i asked - so, how long? - okay, in 30 days". No one has called me back to conduct "investigation" at any of my efforts. Moreover, after 5 months of unsuccessful efforts to receive a refund or at least a return call from Costumer Service of Enterprise corp, i came to the location to try to negotiate at least 50/50 of overcharge, and i was greeted with threats. That time I was in the town often due road scam courts and Sheriff's office, and I came second time to take a picture of Certificate of Authority that any consumer has right to have access to. Dominic Andreno, location manager, who wasn't in the room at the moment I came in, called me back with a THREAT that is recorded. "I was told you came in and took pictures of documents? It is private property and I will report to police for trespassing". Well, being intellectually un-developed, as many of small business related people in this town, Andreno forgot that such threat is going to work against him in the court. EVERYONE who has encountered this issue with this location or in general, please find me on Facebook. I have plenty of free time and have dedicated this year to punish any kind of small town "STRATEGIESTS" of unlawful and unfriendly practices. if i can give zero stars i would , made a reservation Tuesday for a Saturday pick up at 9am after two calls prior of pick up to let them know how important is was to get the car i reserved and how important it was for me to get out in a timely manner ...well after a Two hour wait just to tell me the car was not on the lot and they needed to transport it from some where else ??? needless to say i canceled the car and made due with what i had ! the only thing i can be grateful for was not spending the money on the car and not doing business with such a unorganized company ! bottom line they are extremely unorganized ! go elsewhere the few bucks you might save will not be worth the trouble read more

I would not recommend this location, recently rented from them and received a vehicle that was basically an ash try on wheels. The car was not properly cleaned, ashes found in the car. During a time when sanitizing is key and prevention for the spread of virus, I'm highly disappointed. There service is sub-par compared to other locations. When on vacation, I've always rent from enterprise; Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Vegas, Cali. Cars are always clean. Pick-up always smooth and fast. Drop-offs always fast.(except,this location about one hour) At this location, pick-up, there was a line, so of course there a wait. (line could have been a little more organized using some rope and stanchion or writing name down system. But then my assigned car was 4 blocks away, it finally arrives, they had to vacuum it. I got in, smelled like stale cigarettes, fabric seats that i had to sit on were stained and nasty looking. Sticky red juice stains in the cup holders. Steering wheel that i had to hold on to to drive were sticky and nasty too. Had to wash my hands afterwards from holding on to a disgusting steering wheel. Had to wash my coat afterward from sitting on seat with mysterious probably BO stains. Drop-Off has always been smooth with enterprise. NOT AT THIS LOCATION. it took almost an hour for a drop-off. Again, it was unorganized, yes you are understaffed blah blah blah, you are only one person. Not the customers problem, why are you telling me? customers were not assisted int eh order that they arrived. One of the two that came in after me went up to the counter and was assisted because he was "only here to drop-off" well so was I. Then the guy that took all the drop off keys assist the second guy first that came in after me. In conclusion it took ONE HOUR FOR A DROP-OFF!!!!! read more

So I had a car from this specific site which is a contract from my job . My car got towed and when I needed to pick it up I was told I needed a power of attorney from enterprise to release it to me . They said "we never heard of this so I'll have to ask my manager" mind you I spoke with Oliver who claims he is one of the area managers . July 5th was when I was told this . My car was later then picked up by another tow company and repaired . When I went to see about it my things I had for work along with my company's equipment were stolen . Police report has all my things on a list for inventory and yet my things are not there . I tried speaking to the actual area manager Janelle but she has been ignoring me and telling everyone to tell me all my things are in the trunk . I have video proof of my trunk and my car being vandalized from the inside to the trunk . Food every where and my equipments that were placed in an organized manner have now been tampered with . I have been fired from my job due to not being able to get these questions answered . I have been threatened with lawsuits for the stolen property. Do not get your car from HEMPSTEAD or any enterprise . They claim to help and then when things are stolen they are not reliable . Enterprise just called me saying that they want me to bring the rental car back. Excuse me what? I need the car, my car is not out of the body shop yet since my recent accident. Why do you need the car back? "Because we sold it." Why is this suddenly my problem? Who want's to be inconvenienced by taking an unnecesarry drive back to the rental center and wasting my gas just to swap out a car. The rental center is 10 miles away. Why would you sell something that's not in your possession? More importantly if you were planning on selling the car or there was a sale in progress why would you rent it out to someone? As a busy working mom I really don't have time for this. When they call me back I am going to tell them if it's so urgent they should send someone over here to get the car and bring one for me to swap with. Not sure what their policy is on that but as far as I'm concerned they boast about the convenience of using their service and make statements like "We will pick you up", well then you can come pick up this car too. Went here back in November to rent a car for a trip with a friend. Everything was great until they let us inspect the Tahoe before taking it off the lot. In the trunk of the Tahoe we found a gold bullet. Then noticed bleach stains on the carpet. It was a crime scene!! They gave us a different truck after seeing the bullet and everything else went smoothly. Gave 3 stars because the experience was perfect besides the fact that they didn't inspect the vehicle themselves before offering it to us. read more
