Yep! Had the joy of a car accident and USAA insurance directed us here for a rental car while our slightly mushed auto was in the car hospital to get fixed. About the last think I wanted to do was deal with a rental car; but when we arrived William Barber, a very nicely dressed and groomed manager greeted us and when we introduced ourselves he knew that we were coming. The insurance company had arranged the car for us and all we needed to do was sign some papers and do a walk-around of our rental. Absolutely well run location and very nice people. It is located in a strip shopping center along Hwy 521 so it was rather odd to be in a very active, in and out, parking lot getting our car. I now understood why that particular strip center was always nearly full of cars. Many were part of Enterprise's fleet. Horrible Experience - Beware! I had a van reservation that was booked and confirmed over two and a half months in advance. To make sure everything was on track, I stopped by this location three separate times during the week leading up to my reservation. The night before pickup, I even took a photo showing the van was sitting on the lot. When I arrived at 8:00 AM the next morning for my scheduled pickup, the van was gone. Sarah, who identified herself as the manager, simply apologized and said there were no replacement vans available anywhere in the region. There was no proactive communication, no meaningful solution, and no effort to honor a reservation that had been confirmed for months. She didn't even have a business card to provide. A confirmed reservation should actually mean something. This experience caused unnecessary stress and completely disrupted my plans. Avoid this location--and based on my experience, I'd think twice before trusting Enterprise with an important reservation. read more

For anyone reading about issues at this or other Enterprise locations, don't think it's an isolated incident. If they did it to you they will continue to until there are consequences! If you had a bad experience, call Enterprise Customer Service and file a formal complaint. Ask to speak with the district manager rather than relying on the store level, where concerns can easily get lost. Customers should receive the vehicle they reserved--especially when it was confirmed and in great condition--and courteous, professional customer service. Neither should be considered optional. There should never be a shortage of vehicles for those who have reservations. Mechanical issue should rarely happen..rudeness, never! Let's demand better from these companies. read more

Cliff gave great customer service. and let us choose a vehicle that would meet our needs. He was friendly and very helpful throughout the process. We went with the Kia Soule which resembld a Sorm Trrooper from the movie Star Wars to me, lol. It's a small compact vehicle but spaciouse and very economic on gas. But that really did not matter because gas is so sheep in South Carolina. One month later we returned our little storm trooper , siad our goodbys, and we were on our way back home to California and high gas prices. read more

HORRIBLE customer service. Tried calling for almost 30 minutes regarding a current rental. Was hung up on 3 times (first one after 6 minutes, second one after 7 minutes and the last after 13 minutes), last one being right at 6PM when they close. They were there, because every now and then you could hear someone pick it up and put it back on hold. Never again with this location. Someone needs more training. read more

Just moved apartments and apparently that means you can't rent a car. The manager treated me like a number instead of a customer even though she was given every documentation I had proving my new address. Guess they could afford to lose the sale. I had such a great experience with the whole team. They are fast and very helpful when you need them. My car was in the shop and I got a call the day the contract was created to schedule my time for pick up. It was great to see a branch that's proactive and not reactive. Zero stars! USAA set me up with enterprise while I was waiting for my car to get repaired. While I had the car I made sure to take very good care of it. While I was out and about the engine stopped working and I had to get the vehicle towed. They claimed that it had stopped working because I had put diesel gas in it, which I had not. They told me they were going on file a claim against me for it. I had to go back to the gas station where I had put the gas in the car and get a recipe stating that I paid for unleaded gas and not diesel. I am highly unsatisfied with the service and treatment I received from this company. They only seemed to want to scam me and not take responsibility for their faulty car. read more

They were nice enough but the car they rented and they needed and oil change and windshield wiper fluid. That's not a big deal other than the fact that the car would be to let me know that often. Eventually I had to actually add oil to the car. I don't rent cars to maintain them. But the big kicker was, my car was towed from their parking lot while I was renting a car from them. You would think if you are doing business in a strip mall, and your business model is to rent cars to people, those people may leave their cars in your parking lot every now and then. I rented a car to drive from Charlotte NC to Myrtle Beach SC. I was to pick up the car at 1:00 and drive 3 and a half hours to Myrtle Beach. When I picked up the car, the gas was on empty. The agent said that they could fill it up to 1/4 tank or I could take it empty and bring it back empty. Since I had to get to Myrtle beach in time for a meeting, I agreed to take it on empty and fill it up. After driving a short distance to pick up a relative, I noticed that the car was full of animal hair, although the agent made sure to tell me that there was no smoking or animals allowed in the vehicle. I'm allergic to animals, so I immediately went back to the rental car location to change out the car. The agent told me that they did not have any other cars available, but that there was a car getting an oil change that would be ready in 45 minutes. They agreed to come to my relative's house, which was 10 minutes away, and switch out the car. After waiting over an hour, I called the location back and asked for an update. This time I spoke with a women. Initially, I dealt with a young male with blond hair. The woman told me that now they were not sure how long it would be before they would have another car, but they will keep me updated. Like I said, I was needing to get to Myrtle Beach for a meeting, so I could not just wait until whenever and they had already delayed me for an hour. I offered to go ahead and vacuum the car out myself and drive to Myrtle Beach if they would arrange for the car to be switched out once I reached there. She informed me that she could not help me with switching the car out -- although I offered to tell her exactly where I was going -- because it was a different region. Being that this was a total, unnecessary inconvenience to me, I felt like I should not have to take the time to go through going to another location, explaining my problem all over and risk the chance of them not having a car, etc. But she continued to say that there was nothing that she could do to help me with switching the car out. She did offer to take care of the rental for that day, but basically said I would have to deal with the car from there. She in turn charged me for the days rental anyways. I have a problem with this because, number one the car should have had gas and I agree to not worry about that so I felt like I was being flexible to the fact that things happen. Two, they said they would switch the car out for me in 45 minutes and after an hour, I had to call them back to be told that it could not be done and they did not know how long it would take. Whereas, like I said previously, I had a meeting that I had to make in Myrtle Beach, so I was tight on time. And then third, the agent was not interested in trying to help me get the car cleaned or switched out once I reached Myrtle Beach. So, this would take more of my time, and dealing with an enterprise agent when none of this was due to any of my doing. I ended up vacuuming the car out myself and wiping it down with Lysol wipes because of my allergies, and driving on to Myrtle Beach. I basically parked the car and did not use it because there was no way I could get all the animal hair out of there as to not affect my allergies. This is also frustrating to me because it seems like every time I use Enterprise, I'm running into issues. Once I had a car with breaks that were rubbing terribly and another time was given the run around about someone picking me up when I was stranded on the side of the road. At one point, I was using Enterprise exclusively for the convenience and customer service, but I have changed my opinion and will not be using Enterprise anymore. Services are advertised that Enterprise is there for the customer and cares, but that's not the feeling I get when dealing with the local agents. read more

They are always friendly and go above and beyond accommodating. This last time there was a problem with the reservation, faster than I could even say my own name it was resolved without a question, without a hesitation. I give them 1 star because I cannot go lower. The agent Jenna K. Schwartz is rude and incapable to do her job correctly. Instead of working they are taking breaks to the nearest grocery store. She blamed us for her mistake, and their incompetence in not knowing how to correctly treat a customer. Lied about our reservation and the phone call we had with her and we ended up car less and missing a day of work. I would not recommend having her as a management trainee or even an employee. read more
