made a reservation on a specific date to pick up a rental car. upon arrival for my reservation, the woman behind the desk looked surprised and told me they didn't have any vehicles available. she asked me to sit and wait in the lobby, but I told her I could not wait as I had to get to work. suddenly, there was a vehicle available. however, the vehicle they provided has bad brakes and rotors that grind all the time. the car also smelled terrible. also, every time i would start the car, "maintenance overdue" would alarm on the dashboard. currently, I have been waiting 40 minutes for a ride from enterprise back to my personal vehicle. would not recommend, very unimpressed. read more

I rented a car here after an accident. the insurance company took care of setting up most of the transactions. But once I got to this location, the customer service was great. there was a little bit of them trying to upsell me. they even got me a free upgrade. but I was out of there in about 20 minutes. I came back after my trip and had re-rent another vehicle and again had a good experience with their customer service. read more

I definitely do not recommend Enterprise. I had a reservation with the Enterprise location closest to me and had made arrangements for them to pick me up at the garage where I was dropping off my car this morning. Half an hour before I was supposed to drop my car off, I saw a message from them asking if they wanted me to transfer my reservation to an Enterprise location closer to the garage. When I called them back, they told me that without my approval they had already transferred the reservation and asked whether I wanted my call to be transferred to that location, as well. When I said "yes," they transferred me, and I was put on a very long hold. When someone finally picked up the phone, it was a customer service representative somewhere else in the United States. She said she would transfer me to the location I was supposed to have been transferred to in the first place. But instead, a customer service representative in Georgia picked up the call. She said she couldn't transfer me to the Enterprise location that had my reservation and asked if I wanted her to give me their phone number. Well, I could certainly look up the phone number myself. By that time, I was running late to drop my car off, so I headed out and figured if worse came to worst, I would call an Uber to get home. Luckily the reservation had, indeed, been transferred and a very polite young man arrived, had me sign the rental contract and told me I could be on my way after we returned to the rental car location. No one told me I had to budget time to return the delivery driver there. I had assumed that someone from his office would come pick him up. After I understood that I was expected to take him back to his office, I told him I would, but by that time he was already arranging for a co-worker to come pick him up. The car he delivered was a clean but very worn Toyota Corolla with only a quarter tank of gas. In the past I have always had rental cars delivered with a full tank of gas. This whole experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing, and I will not be using the services of Enterprise again unless I have absolutely no other choice. I do not recommend their services to anyone. read more

By the way, I had a reservation--had lots of other things hinging on my travel (hotels, etc). And they could care less that they don't have a car for me. Rented a minivan May 5, 2023 returned after hours with no damage and it was checked in at 6:38am on May 8th. No worries! Just got a bill for damages for almost $1800.00, and never got a phone call from them. I have rented from them three times since alleged damage. Went by the office and asked what happened and was told call this number for disputing the damages, and you are great customers sorry you assume all damages until the vehicle is checked in. We'll, one would assume if I was a great customer and this isn't typical I would've called and have wondered what happened to my car. Has anyone else had this happen to them? read more

No offer to get me back to the airport or even see what they could do to accommodate. Enterprise Rent A Car on North Oak Traaficway is shady. I rented an economy car. I arrived at the location no economy cars available. It is snowing and the weather is horrible. The only vehicle they have is a mini van with Massachusetts plates. The van is dirty I ask for it to be power washed etc. they state there is no one to clean the vehicle. The manager fills out no damage to vehicle while in the building. States too cold to go outside. The gas gauge was Evan a little below full. I return vehicle manager go staight to a small scratch. Says damage. He knew where damage was before he Evan looked at vehicle. He knew of problem and was going to pin on someone. Manager was rude insulting. Never rent from this place. And never rent with them power washing vehicle. A 10 inch scratch the manager claims requires a whole new door. Scam alert. read more

I made a registration online for a last minute trip to leave the following day. The next morning, a few hours prior to the scheduled pickup, I received a call that they didn't have any cars available. When I stated that I booked online and was confused that I was able to book, the employee informed me that management had 'forgotten' to disable online booking when they closed that day. He suggested I try another location. No offer to help. After several phone calls, I found another location, 20+ miles away that had cars. But they were not able to honor the rate I had reserved at. So, is $100+ more and I am on my way to try the Independence location. Very disappointed in the customer service at the Gladstone location. I will be contacting corporate to work on the difference in rates. read more

This is long overdue, but as I've had another run in with this company, I figured now was the time. I've rented from them twice in 6 months, and it goes down to one thing: price. On both occasions I was quoted a price on their website, a DIFFERENT price over the phone, and yet another price in person. And once I returned on both occasions with both vehicles full of gas I get charged for extra things I wasn't told about. For instance, this recent occasion I was charged an extra $54 for gas I had already put in it. I was told $186, and I was handed a bill for $245. This isn't ok. It's borderline scamming, and I want something done about it. Very disappointed. read more

Friday, June 3, 2016 11:30am I scheduled a car reservation online with Enterprise because it was close to my in laws home in KC. I got dropped off and the young guy at the counter, Matt, told me he didn't have a car reservation and they were now sold out. I didn't have my computer and he couldn't pull up reservation number. Matt said he couldn't help me and I asked about other cars since the lot had over 15 cars. He did suggest the airport possibly but didn't offer to look or find ride options. I told him I got dropped off and didn't have a ride! What happen to we will pick you up? I had to end up taking Uber to the airport. I rented from National (which I know is still under Enterprise). They were awesome! This place use to be good a couple years ago but has really disappointed lately. Matt you need training in customer service. read more

Their manager is beyond disrespectful. He doesn't need a job. I came in to drop my car off. A lady by the name of Morgan was very sweet helping me. I asked her a question then their manager jumps in with an instant attitude which caught me and Morgan off guard. After his rudeness he walks off, I asked him to come back to finish explaining cause I'm still confused. He goes to ignore me. I left it alone venting to Morgan who is speechless at this point. As me and her finishing the car, he comes back with an attitude starting issues again. I've rented from there more than 5 times the last 2 months and he the first guy to be so rude. Took forever to give us our car. Once we got it, it was disgusting. The back seats were extremely dirty. There was vomit-like stuff on the seats. When we came back, they took even longer to assist us. We are now 3 hours delayed for our road trip. Not ever coming back. read more

NEVER rent from Enterprise!!! Any defects on their vehicles are charged to the customer. A top panel on the back of a minivan I rented flew off on the highway 30 mins after picking up. Enterprise immediately blamed me and charged additional fees without my authorization. Defects were not explained during the rental process which is required by law in the state of Missouri. I have rented several vehicles from them and not once was told I would be responsible for paying for vehicle defects! read more

Snake oil salesman here. I was talked into an additional expense without being told there would be a charge. I left with no explanation or offer to remedy the situation. I recommend you know very clearly what you're agreeing to before spending way more that what you understood. I also did not appreciate being referred to as "man" through my conversations. Very helpful staff, I worked with Charlie for my rental at this location. I'm happy to have had a chance to get picked up, as my car was not in a drivible condition, I didn't know how to go get a rental car, but the picked me up. Made a last minute reservation for an intermediate SUV the night before needing the rental car. Showed up a little before the scheduled pick-up time in the morning and was able to quickly get through the paperwork and system and get out on the road. I think we dealt with the location manager and he was very accommodating and helpful. He treated us right, and I want to make sure he knows we appreciate it.
