Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. They won't have the car you reserved. The first location didn't and this one said they couldn't guarantee it, even with a reservation. Sounds like the WORST system for a car rental place! How don't you have a system in place to make sure people have the car they reserve?! Might want to try out some of the new AI they got. I'm sure my 14-year-old could help you come up with something. Do better. Maybe pay more and you won't have to hire the worst of the worst. Customer service absolutely terrible. If I'm being honest, I never imagined taking the time to write a review for a car rental place. Historically, I don't think I've had extraordinarily great or poor experiences with one. They were just a necessary thing to use from time to time. Over the past year or so, I've frequented the Enterprise on Green Bay in Glendale and every single time, the experience has been wonderful. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and things have always gone fast and smoothly. Last week, I had to make a modification to a reservation I booked online through a work website. Mind you, I tend to avoid human contact as much as I can when it comes to doing business. But knowing how great this location has been, I just went in person to change the reservation. And sure enough, Lauren the branch manager took care of it in minutes. Really lucky that the Enterprise nearest both my job and my house is outstanding! read more

Multiple times over a couple years this particular enterprise location has rented cars that are consistently mechanically defective, and/or filled with very, very heavy smoke. I understand that if they are somehow low on cars they might think they are doing a favor to people, but in my opinion, it would be better to not provide a car which is defective or filled with smoke, than to provide such a vehicles. Providing a discount after the fact is, in my opinion, not sufficient to compensate for such practices. In such situations, it would seem that they would be better off, not taking any reservations and being quite direct with people that the only vehicles they have are defective and filled with smoke, rather than renting them out and letting people be surprised a few miles or a few hours down the road. It seems they need someway to take such vehicles out of service and get them fixed. Maybe there should be smoke detectors installed in the vehicles... In any event, even if this particular location is convenient, I highly suggest trying a different location or a different company altogether. If another driver's insurance company (like StateFarm) pays for your car rental from enterprise, maybe try to insist that it is from another car rental company ... I have never had this sort of experience with any other company or any other location .. read more

Had a rental from the Green Bay office while my car was being repaired. I have retired and had files and books from two offices in my trunk. At the repair shop I was informed my trunk would need to be emptied.... Gavin the representative who had brought my rental graciously offed to help me. With significant orthopedic issues this was a God send. He was my angel moving bag after bag from one trunk to the other. Gavin was a complete gentleman and represents Enterprise and the Glendale office very well. When negotiating the extension of my contract I also had a wonderful experience with the office staff!! Writing this review because I saw quite a few bad ones on here and I had an amazing experience! I got into a 6 car fender bender and needed a rental car stat, I was able to get a car same day right after 2 pm. Patrick helped my dad and I over the phone and in person, he was extremely personable and helpful and the rest of the staff was also very welcoming! I went in extremely stressed and worried but left satisfied with my service and with a car that served my needs. The staff joked with my dad and I and they really brightened our day! Currently have my SECOND car from this place that absolutely reeks like weed. Picked up the first car which was reserved in advance and it wasn't clean, windows were foggy, tire light was on, gas was damn near empty and I smelled like a pothead walking into work the next morning. An employee called and arranged for us to pick up a new vehicle (the employee and customer service was respectful). Picked up the new vehicle today and initially getting in, it smelled fine. After a few hours of sitting, I just went out to park the car and it smells like weed worse than the first. I personally don't care what people smoke, but I can't be smelling like that at a government job. I would never rent a vehicle from this place. read more

I needed a car for a day for a meeting out of town and all of the staff here at both pick up and drop off were great. Adam got me in and out in record time, which I really appreciated! Only complaint is a minor one: The car had 5/8 of a tank and that's what I needed to bring it back with, which is not an easy place to gauge. The customer service is bad name pose. I had a car for us. We had a reservation and they took the car back and put it in something else. The car we reserve was a minivan they gave us a small SUV. The windows were so dirty no washer fluid for clean the windows off, this is second time I had a rental car from now and they have a problem. Why do you have to make a reservation for something and you don't get what you made a reservation for they gave away in the van they gave us and told us we couldn't get the van somebody else had it, but we was already in the van they gave us a smaller car than what we were supposed to get. read more

There's an associate by the name of Cole here. He is rude, very unprofessional, combative and he over talks you even when he is wrong. I am currently in a rental awaiting for my 2022 Mercedes GLE 350 to be repaired so my insurance company is paying for my rental. Cole argued with me telling me I needed to pay a $300 deposit and to pay for how ever many days I need to keep the renatal. The rental was past due by 2 days, I asked Cole should I call insurance for an extension or would that be his responsibility. Cole responds they stopped paying for the rental we will run your credit card or you can return the rental before end of business today. While trying to explain to Cole previously the enterprise associates call or reach out for the extension, Cole continuously yells at me telling me to return the rental by end of business day my car is past due for payment by 2 days and I need to pay, my insurance ended payment. This behavior should never be tolerated it makes you believe that staff aren't properly trained and very short tempered to say the least. I called my insurance and asked them to extend the rental. I called enterprise back, instead of an apology Cole says well they haven't processed another payment. I explained that I literally just hung up from insurance, I'm sure it takes a couple minutes. Finally Cole decided to reach out to the insurance company to verify they would extend the rental. This is what I asked Cole to do in the beginning knowing that my word for the extension wouldn't validate anything. We have a corporate account with Enterprise and have encountered issues repeatedly in the past few weeks. Today I was promised an SUV for a 9am pick up time and was disappointed to be told it'd be an extra 25 minutes upon arrival to get the vehicle. After waiting, we were then told the vehicle did not have heat. We had no choice but to take our own car because there was no other option. Twenty minutes after we left we got a call that they found an available car... unfortunately for us we had a meeting to get to and being late is not an option (something Enterprise doesn't recognize). We had the same issue last week when we arrived to pick up an SUV to fit five, and they did not have one available. Instead we were forced to cram into a dirty, smelly car that had just been dropped off. Oh, and a few weeks ago, a coworker went to pick up his reserved car and it was given away. Overall, a horrible experience every time. The staff is unprofessional, the store is filthy and they always promise to "fix" the situation and never do. If our business ran this way, we wouldn't be a business. read more

Had one of the most horrific experiences we've ever had with a rental car company with this location. Our minivan was in for service at the dealership next-door and we were about to head out on a family trip with our toddler and two dogs. Because the part was not available for our minivan and our car was only 2 years old and was under warranty, the dealership arranged for the rental car. We went to pick it up and they did the typical walk around and tour of the outside of the car, but never reviewed the interior of the car with me. They of course had me sign a bunch of things on a tablet that you cannot read, and did not tell me that pets were not allowed in the vehicle even though we had mentioned that we were heading out on our family trip with the dogs. They gave me the keys. When I got in the car it reeked of smoke. Obviously the car had not been cleaned or sanitized, but I figured I could open the windows and get the smell out. On my 15 minute drive home the smoke was so horrible that I was physically nauseous. We called the company and let them know, but because they didn't have another van and we were leaving in two days on our trip, we ultimately decided we were better off to have a vehicle then not have one. We spent the next six weeks (yes it took forever to get the part for our car with covid) trying to rid the car of the smoke smell. We bought air fresheners, used baking soda, vinegar, sprayed it down several times with fresh wave, bought air fresheners to plug on to all the vents, kept the windows open for days, and drove around with the windows open. We probably spent $50-$75 just trying to get the smoke smell out, and even six weeks later there was a faint smell of smoke. On top of that, when we moved to the stow and go seats around, there were food crumbs and debris all over the vehicle. We returned the car to the dealership and picked up our vehicle and thought this was all over. Then 24 hours later we got a call from this enterprise branch saying that they were charging us $250 because we returned the car with a little bit of dog hair on the floor. We told them that we would not consent to that charge, because no one had told us that pets are not allowed in the vehicle, and the car was actually in better condition than we picked it up. They had clearly never cleaned and sanitized the car from the previous driver, and we wonder how it's possible that the smoke smell could be so bad with the rental car. We pleaded with the people at enterprise that this was a complete injustice and that we were going to challenge the charge with the credit card, but they didn't care. We specifically asked them if they had charged the prior driver the $250 charge for smoking in the vehicle, and they had no record of that. So we inherited a car that was never cleaned, smelled like smoke, and we did everything we could to make it better, and ultimately they charged us. Often times we are held hostage by the location of the rental car companies that we have to rent from. But this experience lacked all level of customer service and any semblance of fairness. I will never rent from Enterprise again and encourage everyone to avoid this location if you have that luxury. read more

Only as a last resort. The least customer friendly location that I have used. Once you get past the glad handing suit and tie pros, you are dealing with an understaffed or perhaps poorly staffed, facility. Cars can be turned around without being fueled or cleaned. I have seen and experienced thinly veiled contempt by staff and, in one case, a manager. If you are looking for a clean car, ready per your reservation Hertz, Avis or the Enterprise downtown location may be a better bet. read more

Without a car due to the horrific events of Saturday, Feb. 15, we needed to rent a vehicle for a variety of reasons. Going to my Entertainment Book, I found the best deal at Enterprise. Calling them I used a double-upgrade coupon for a one week rental. Having rented before from a bunch of companies, Enterprise is the only one that actually picks you up at home. Not having a way to get to its office, it was really an easy decision. I scheduled a pickup at 1 p.m. and at 12:55, Audra called to tell me she was sitting in front of our residence. When I arrived at the Office, Audra went over all the details of the deluxe KIA sedan I would have for the next seven days, something rarely done by others. Returning the car today, I was "greeted" like a hero by the staff. Thank you. After the perfect inspection I asked about future rentals and was told to simply call to reserve a car with the lowest rates available. Driven home, I was very pleased having rented from Enterprise. This was a very good experience and I will be calling them again soon. read more

By far my worst rental experience. The manager Neil, doesn't know how to talk to customers and is very condescending with interactions with guest. My car was being repaired and I was using a rental. Literally the worst experience ever. Booked a car a week in advanced and turned up on the day of to find out the car needed an hour-long inspection. I needed to be in Chicago by 3pm and it is already 2pm! An hour later, they told me they needed to order a NEW car. As soon as I arrived back home they called to tell me the "bad" car was ready. The service took more than five hours and I am not even in Chicago yet. Never coming here again!!! I advise EVERYONE to NEVER come to this "business." Update: it's 3pm and I am still in Glendale. I called at 8:30 am to get a rental car and was told to come in at 11. When I called to double check the time I would be guaranteed a car, they told me I would get a car by "probably" 11:30. I arrived later to be safe and was greeted by a line of customers and super unprofessional staff (music blaring in the car wash, massive confusion, phones ringing off the hook, people joking about drinking, etc). I wouldn't mind unprofessional service if they were actually rendering the service, but I'm still sitting here waiting for a car wondering who the manager is. I've never had a positive experience with enterprise, period. My advice - go with national if you can and go to the airport for a car, especially if you don't want to deal with unnecessary hassle after a hit and run like me. read more

I can't describe how awesome and helpful the associates at this Enterprise location were. I was in a minor car accident the day before, and mistakenly though my ar was okay to drive. I go to work, and then on the way home, my car CAN'T MAKE RIGHT TURNS. I called my insurance to get a rental set up through Hertz, but they couldn't accommodate my need to store my car until the holidays were over. I strong arm my car over to the Enterprise and beg them, "My car isn't safe to drive, and I can't park it at my house. HELP." And they did. My phone died as I was getting them the claim number, and they let me charge it and get in their way behind the counter. I went from desperate to in a rental in less than half an hour, and they were all so nice about it. If you're coming here through an insurance claim, you won't have any problems with them. read more

Caution: We reserved (and confirmed the day before) a passenger van to transport our guests to a party. When we arrived to pick it up (a few hours before the party), the manager told us that they didn't have a van for us, and they wouldn't be able to get one. We were left to scramble to find other rides for our guests at the last minute. This is the second time I've used Enterprise in Glendale, and have been very impressed with their customer service on both occasions. This past weekend I rented a small SUV. I received a call from Matt on the first day to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. I advised Matt that a prior renter/s must have smoked in the car and that there was a very heavy odor we had to endure. Matt advised that when I returned the car to ask for Jeremy who would make the situation right. The next day when returning the car I asked for Jeremy. He was very apologetic about the situation, charged me for one day of the two day rental, and provided 10% off on my next rental. These guys really try to keep the customer happy, very refreshing these days! Will definitely use Enterprise in the future!! read more

Disclaimer: This review is two parted. 1.) The guy who picked me up (one star) 2.) The Enterprise Rent-A-Car staff (which was 5 star) 1.) Guy who picked me up review: Aaaaaannnnnnd this is why I do not like small talk. So, Enterprise will pick you up, which is really nice so you don't have to drive your own car to the car rental place and risk having it broken into. That is where the one star comes from. What I didn't appreciate? This. The guy that picked me up was a crotchety old man who was a TOTAL A-hole. So, he asks where I'm going and what I'm doing and normally in these situations I make a lie so the conversation goes no further. "Going to see my Grandma" or something of the link. I gave him a little bit of what I was doing and where I was going and all the sudden the Dude starts going on and on about how he is a TEA party supporter (right there I had one had on the car door handle about to escape) and how the Government has it's hand in everything (Keep in mind I made the mistake of telling him I work for the Gov't) and they need to stay out of his business. Me = Quiet. Not talking. Pissed. Car can't get to enterprise fast. Enough. Keep in mind, probably a 5 minute drive but he pissed me off enough that 3 weeks later, I'm still pissed. Then he starts going on and on about how the gov't is *forcing* people to buy CFL light bulbs. I told him this was false (they may be limiting manufacturing of incandecent bulbs, Yes. But forcing you to use CFLs, No.) and I have never heard anything of the like. He basically starts yelling at me about what if they broke and little children can get mercury poisoning. He also said he is stockpiling the "good old lightbulbs" in his garage. G.D. Gov't is not doing to tell him what to do. Ugh. So I explain to him the bit, if you want to use CFL's use um, if you don't, THEN DON'T. If you have children, which this guy was like 100 and clearly does not, then make sure you WATCH THEM CLOSELY AND NOT LET THEM PLAY WITH LIGHTBULBS! It was exhausting and I was ready to cut a B after this car ride. For realies. Enterprise if you are re listening, tell this guy to keep his political views to himself, the customers do not appreciate. 2.) Enterprise Front Desk Staff: It was a busy Monday morning and the staff was working hard to make sure everyone was taken care of in a timely manner. My car was new and clean, I appreciated that fact. This place is bs and requires too much unnecessary crap. I don't do credit cards so they require 2 zero balance utility bills. Brought my own printed zero bills cos I only do paperless. They wanted pdf, so I used their computer to do so. Ugh too damn complicated!!! Long story short, I didn't even get my damn rental SOB!! I hate you damn rentals! The young man who took care of me was extremely pleasant and helpful. However, the location seemed understaffed in the "back" areas, and prepping the car and getting it out to me took far too long. The counter fellow gave me a small discount to compensate, but 30+ minutes is still far too long........ The car was what I wanted and was very nice, but they need more folks working behind the scenes on a summer Friday afternoon. Also, a system of checking in a car afterhours (timestamp, etc.) would be wonderful, so that a one-day rental wouldn't have to turn into a 3-day rental...... read more

I had a nightmare service with this rental car company. I booked my car one week in advance, only to be jerked around the day I was supposed to pick it up. First, I was told that the car I rented needed to be inspected (which took one hour), only to then be told that they needed to get a completely new car instead of the one that I rented. After that car was ready, I was then told that I needed multiple forms of ID and bank statements in order to rent the car. No one told me of this the week prior when I booked the car. It took hours of me driving back and forth from my home back to the rental company for them to tell me new information of what I needed each time. Not to mention I needed to out of the state at a specific time. Not only did they make me extremely late, but I ended up having to use my own car because I was not told about everything that I needed in order to actually rent the car. I will not use this rental car service again, because the employees obviously do not know what they are doing, or they just simply wanted to give me a hard time. Either way, I won't allow them to do that to me again. Thank you for making me late to an extremely important event and for not correctly informing me on what I needed to do in order to rent a car. I'll be using another service in the future, because this experience was horrible. read more

Adam and Neal provide superior customer service some others at the location are not worth the salary they are being paid. I say this because I reserved a 1 month rental for a compact vehicle. I was provide a Hyundai Accent by a particular "salesperson" with cracked hub caps that rattled while driving. I drove this vehicle for 1 day and returned it. I spent more time looking in the rearview to see if any had rolls off. For my replacement vehicle this "salesperson" wanted me to upgrade. Okay I considered. He attempted to rent me a Chrysler 200 that had been in an accident as the paint was scratched from fender to bumper. Ultimately, I needed a vehicle for work and changed to 1 week rental of a Toyota Corolla with a passenger side speaker that hung off when you opened the door. Ultimately, I returned the rental and told the management about my experience and was given a free upgrade on the next rental. Next!!! Not likely, they didn't even link the rental to the "rewards card" to earn the publicized points with having the reservation. I am now a renter From Hertz on N. 76th St. where I was offered a variety of rentals at a lower cost than Enterprise. I would suggest personal contact with your customers before soliciting a review via email. If you choose Enterprise examine the car VERY carefully and do not let them try to force a Garbage car on you! read more
