The bill featured a $56 charge for "premium rental location" (the airport???) - also not mentioned anywhere in the contract. I trusted these people in an emergency and they stiffed me. I will NEVER rent from Alamo again.

I will give them credit where it's due, when i went in i was politely greeted and asked to hang tight because they were busy (fair), everyone was polite, but when it was my turn i was just handed a set of keys and told to do a walkaround of my vehicle (by myself, im pretty sure its standard practise for an employee to go with you) anyways, i had this vehicle for a week in which i had babied like my own car (drove super carefully, made sure to park it in safe/paid parking areas where it would be surveillanced) and when i went to hand the vehicle back they just took the keys and said i was good to go (no walkaround, nothing), so i left. A few hours later i recieve an email from the assistant manager saying that there is "severe damage in the form is deep scratches and DENTS in the roof"!!!! of all things wtf! There is only 2 things that could have happened here, 1. The previous renter fked up the roof and when he/she returned the vehicle, it was not inspected properly (the roof anyways) or 2. They are purposely scheming because i was not there to do a final walkaround with an employee (my mistake i guess) because there is definitely no way i had left "deep scratches" on the freaking roof let alone severe dents (im sure if there was something powerful enough to drop on the roof and leave a couple "severe dents" i would have heard or noticed it. Anyways, the assistant manager asked me in the email to go in so we can go forward with an insurance claim but the location was really not convenient for me to go to (especially without a vehicle) so i called them, 4 times. First 3 times no answer, 4th time an employee picked up in which i asked to speak to the AM and was told he was busy and they would have him call me back. Waited 2 days, no calls, sent him an email inquiring about the damages and photos and i get no response but an instant email finalizing my bill of sale and them taking a $500 deposit from my credit card. Fantastic. This is the type of shit that you only see online, on google reviews or youtube thinking its usually probably fake and never going to happen in the real world but let me tell you, damn dude it happened to me, i'll admit, i've been had by a car rental company for the first time in my life and it just had to be the one time i switched rental companies.

I opted for a standard model for $38/day Canadian. They set me up in a clean, newer model white Toyota Camry my grandmother would probably like, but just after I had signed all the paperwork for it, two girls rolled up to return a bad ass Dodge Charger, which I wanted instead. I inquired about the difference in price to get that and it was about an extra $20/day since they considered that "full size." Not in my opinion, but whatever. Overall, no issues. Staff was very courteous and professional. Drop off took about 10 minutes.

I purchased a used car from Donnelly and it's been a nightmare ever since. Some problems were fixed with the extended warranty I was forced to take at $4000 extra. But there have been numerous problems continuously happening with this lemon of a vehicle. Including a rebuilt transmission that was only partially covered. I have put at least another $8000 of my own money in repairs over the 3+ years I've had this nightmare of a vehicle. I will never purchase another vehicle from them and I would never recommend them to anyone else either.

I've rented cars in just about every major city in North America, and I've never once experienced…read moreanything of what I saw with my own eyes at this location. It's run like a zoo of animals on the loose who at best are just incompetent and ignorant. At worst, they're criminals and scam artists. If Enterprise were to actually realize how these employees acted there, they'd be forced to clean the house. It started out very badly before the long weekend and ended with the worst possible circumstances imagined. Even though it was booked online, I was met with complication after complication that led to spending over 90 minutes of wasted time just to get the vehicle off the lot. The staff there were rude, unprofessional, and could not care any less than they did about basic customer service. The following day, the individual (Dawson) who took the rental called me at 8 AM demanding I pay an additional $300 deposit beyond the $450 I had already paid for the rental fees. I said go ahead, charge my card on file. He said he tried already and it was declined. When I called the credit card company to find out why, they made it very clear that the individual flat-out lied since there was no record of an attempt. I didn't hear back from anyone at Enterprise again until the day of return hours before it was due to be returned, when I got a voicemail addressed to some guy named "Frank". With the bill paid in full, and the car not due back for another three hours, I later found out the same incompetent individual called my son who was listed as an emergency contact leaving a confusing voicemail there as well. I was just as happy to bring the car back and be rid of these very disturbed individuals, so I brought it back early clean and with fuel back to its start. I dropped the keys off at the counter, called an Uber and waited outside. While standing there, the same individual came up to me telling me that I needed to come back inside to pay my bill. I was shocked that he had the nerve to say that, and I explained very clearly the bill was already paid, and he needed to check it for himself. When he insisted I come back in with him, I told him I was late to go meet a business client and if he had any other questions to call me later. At that time, the Uber car showed up and I got in. That's when the mouthy punk kid teamed up with Dawson and started threatening me with violence, and also with the Uber driver to the point, that the driver became so intimated that he refused to drive. I ended up getting out of the car and walking off the lot completely where I called for another car a few blocks away. As I was leaving the two of them were screaming obscenities at me and I was leaving without paying my (fully paid) bill, in front of at least a dozen other customers outside witnessing it. The final insult was an hour after I left they charged my credit card, which they were claiming they had no access to, another fee, which I've already filed a dispute with my credit card company. I've already contacted a lawyer to see what civil and perhaps criminal actions can be taken.

They still sell items that are helpful and useful in travel, like luggage etc., but the shop is a bit smaller than the previous location. It's not as much a place to get triptics like they used to offer. I think you can now print those off your home computer, updated with construction and so on. The new outlet offers insurance for home, vehicle and RV, and travel insurance. Please note new hours due to COVID; they're closed on Saturdays.

I asked Priceline for a car rental place near my hotel. I trusted Priceline, which was a mistake, and took a rental from a Hertz at 1478 Merivale. I requested an SUV with a toddler seat near my hotel to pick up a friend and his family. Instead, I got to go on a 20 minute ($45) taxi ride to the car-rental place. And then, when we got there....it didn't exist! So I had to call Hertz - international rates, of course - which informed me the Hertz was at 1916 Merivale. David, the man who worked at Hertz, was sympathetic to my plight, but there was still nothing he could do about what happened or the fact that there were no toddler seats to be had. Still. David let me keep the SUV until the next morning and drop it off at a different location -- no additional charge. And then, days after I got back home, I received a receipt in the mail from Hertz. They had taken $45 off my car rental fee -- when it wasn't even their fault. And I didn't even have to complain. So that's why I give Hertz five stars. I'll always rent from them in the future. David was a real pro, and a very nice guy. Priceline, however, still sucks.
