    Horrible. Customer service was non existent…read more Would not accommodate someone who experiences disability regarding the difficulty in having an all electric car. (It was a mystery car!!??) We explained at airport counter and again at location in Goodyear. We returned the car within 2 hours and Avis at the Hampton Inn charged us $120. When we asked to keep car they said they couldn't cancel the return. So we left car there paying $120 to drive for 2 hours. Horrible customer service in everyway. Both agent at airport and Caby Welsh Store Manager at Hampton Inn. Sometimes families ARE the exception (do not fit the box) WE DID NOT KNOW OUR MYSTERY CAR WAS ALM ELECTRIC- but nit even slight accommodation given for the difficulty of managing an electric car for someone with mental/developmental disabilities. Called and explained to both locations but they both refused to adjust our reservation. They did not even try to arrange for a solution at all. Their motto is not even close to being accurate. Never again AVIS.

If time were on my side, I would have shopped around or asked for the car to be cleaned, but it wasn't. Despite the fact that it had stains on all the seats and a cigarette hole in the back seat, it still did it's job. It was easy to exchange it for the 12' truck when I got to my destination but that place only had one employee as well. When I returned home again with the 12' truck, they could not provide me a receipt. They also emailed me the wrong receipt. They did try... but I've never seen it so disorganized before. We chose…read moreSun Devil Auto because of their high Yelp ratings and good experiences at store near 7th Street and Bethany Home when we lived close by. My wife brought the car in Wednesday at 2PM. The oil was changed and my wife was Happy. Friday evening we were in the carpool lane heading into Phoenix when we heard a loud bang and continuous scraping noise. My gauges were fine, no smoke, no significant change in the ability to steer the car so I exited the freeway and pulled into the first safe place to stop. I called Sun Devil Auto and left a message (it was shortly after 6PM and they were closed). That phone call was not returned. We got a tow truck and paid for them to tow our vehicle to Sun Devil Auto. As of this writing, we haven't been reimbursed for the cost of the tow. I submitted the requested receipt on Saturday. Sun Devil called Saturday morning because our car was in their lot and they had our keys. I explained what happened. To their credit, there was no pushback and they agreed to do the repair. We were notified at 3:30 yesterday that the car was done. We were watching a movie at Harkins which didn't get out of until 30 minutes after they closed so I said we'd use our other set of keys to pick up the car and get the keys Monday. Bottom line - Exceptionally bad experience with the oil change, promising response (the jury is still out since we haven't been reimbursed for the tow) September 11- Update. When I picked up my keys on Monday Jacob promised to call when the towing reimbursement is approved. No phone call yet.

    RIP OFF. Brought my 2017 jeep compass here seeking electrical diagnosis and repair (since they…read moreadvertise that they specialize in it). The problem I have is very common issue with jeep compasses: parasitic electrical draw (electronics not turning off when they should). I told sun devil employees that I'm bringing it to them because I'm tired of replacing batteries and want to get to the root of the issue, and they assured me they would fix it. Lo and behold, they call me and tell me the battery is the issue, it's not holding the charge. I told them the battery is like that due to the parasitic draw and if they just replace the battery it's just going to kill another battery. Their response was "well we warranty our work so just bring it back". So here I am, battery is dead again (5th battery btw) and I had to get my car towed to sun devil this morning. They have had my car for several hours now and I called to ask them if they are going to file a claim with my warranty company so that I can have a rental car in order to be able to go to work. Louie or however you spell his name had an attitude and treated me like I was unreasonable to ask if they're going to keep it overnight that they file a claim today so that I can have transportation, seems reasonable to me ESPECIALLY since it's coming back a mere few months later for the same exact issue! And ESPECIALLY since I tried to tell them replacing the battery will not fix the issue. He said something along the lines the lines of "well we haven't looked at it yet and things take time" seems to me like 6 hours is plenty of time to verify that the battery is dead. His response was to pick my car if I don't want them to look at it. I repeatedly asked him if he could at least give me an estimate of when they would be able to file the claim and he just kept saying he didn't know maybe tomorrow. Horrible service and ethics. These people do shoddy work, get people to buy parts and get you in and out, and claim if the customer has any issues they will fix it under warranty. What they don't tell you is they will put your warranty work on the back burner while they do all the customer pay work first because they want the money in hand now, versus spending time to fix their mistakes.
