If I could zero stars I would. This place is a joke, sold me insurance although I have full coverage on my car that was being repaired. Put me in a rental that was above what I was approved for and according to them it was because of State Farm although State Farm indicated they changed the amount approved based on my car. Asked me to call State Farm instead of do their job. Gave me a $45 credit after spending $200 plus for a service I didn't need and doing their job for them. I would never recommend this place to anyone, I'd rather walk in 10 inches of snow than rent from here. And had multiple people calling me knowing I'm a disgruntled customer. Don't rent from here unless you got time to do their job and want to be bent over with no vaseline. read more

Great service for a one-day rental to see West Michigan. We took an Uber from our hotel early in the morning. Rented a Nissan Versa for the day and returned it late afternoon. About $80 for the rental using a CostCo member discount (booked online the day before). Brendan was exceptional, very thorough inspection of car, very helpful, and even drove us back to our hotel when we returned the car late in the afternoon. First the issue was the gasoline. We received the car with a partial tank so I returned it with the same mileage remaining/gauge but the said it was almost 2 gallons shy at 9.99 a gallon. I'm not going to fill it up unless it's given to me full. Second, they apparently charged me a daily toll incorrectly and months later sent me a notification they would auto charge my CC on file for $2. Their mistake is not my cost. Will likely not be using them again! read more

Look for Brendan, he is a very nice young man that provides excellent customer service. He is very polite and even checked the tires of the rental car. I have never had an Enterprise employee check the tires of the car. I have rented cars from Enterprise all over the US. After giving us the keys, he even gave us his card just in case we needed anything on our day rental since we are not from the local area. Brendan provided the best customer service I have ever experienced from any rental company. High recommend come to this location if you need a rental. read more

Overall really disappointing. I had to rent a car for a week because my car got hit. The first car they gave me smelled really strongly of cigarettes so I asked for a different one and they clearly sprayed chemicals over the smell of cigarettes in the second one. I had to drive around with the windows down all week and my clothes still smelled like cigarettes. I was told that they were going to give me $40 to make up for this, however, they never did. The people at the location were nice but I was really frustrated with them purposefully covering the smell in the second car and then not following through with the $40 that they offered, I didn't ask for anything. If they couldn't follow through at least a phone call to explain would've been nice. read more

Can I give a zero star rating? I don't even want to give one star. I am furious. I scheduled a rental, but then cancelled it within the same hour, as my plans changed. I received emails of confirmation AND cancellation. For cancelling, it said I would get a refund of everything but $50 within 3-10 business days. Not only have I not seen that refund, but after a week of multiple emails back and forth (including me showing them the charge on my credit card, and both emails), they claim they cannot find my rental agreement and thus have not given me my refund. I am not pursuing legal action through my bank to deal with this absolute incompetence. I will never be using Budget again, and will be telling this story to everyone who will listen. read more

My car had broken down on my way to work. i work on call for a medical organization. After scheduling the tow, I called enterprise. I spoke with a mean who kept on the phone for 30 minutes. The reason was the after he go through all the questions he would find out that the place either couldnt pick me up or they didnt have a car. He would have to go through the questions each time. Finally, he came to this location who said that they would pick me up and the car I would be renting is a Ford Focus. He asked me how i would be paying and then transfered me to the locations. A gentleman (hardly) by the name of Nick picked up the phone. He told me that not only was he not going to be picked up, but that I would not be able to receive a car till Monday. I said I was just told that I have a Ford Focus and that you guys were going to pick me up. He said, "yeah they are offsite." This is why I am so pissed. I was promised something, they didn't deliver, and was not given a good response as to why this happened. If i was told prior there were no cars available this weekend, this review would not be taking place. I started getting really irate explaining to him that my time was wasted, I am on call for a medical facility, and that I was on the phone for 30 minutes with someone. He told, "Sir, if you are going to scream at me like that I am not going to help." He said he was going to help me the best way that I can, and I told him that he is not. He said the best he can do was put me on a waiting list, and I told him to do something that anatomically impossible, and hung up the phone. Not my proudest moment in a church parking lot where I believe a funeral was taking place, but I was angry and frustrated at this associates lack of empathy and failing to realize what my problem is. While I was on the phone with Hertz, he called me to say that I was placed on the "Do Not Rent" list for owing $200 which i thought was taken care of at the time. I hung up on him and that is what he is probably used to in his life with poor customer service such as that. I went to Hertz at the airport and they were much cheaper and extremely friendly. My first time here sucked. My car wasn't ready, nor would it be until 5+ hours later. I had to take a cargo van back home and wait for my car to be delivered/ready. My car was not ready because their entire fleet was out on car insurance rentals, but that's no excuse for not making other arrangements for me. They did the best they could, but it just wasn't fun. My second time here was awesome. They made up for the first time. When I arrived, my car was ready, gas tank full, keys on the counter, and contract sitting at the ready. They remembered me, and were very helpful. If you are going to be a repeat customer, make friends with Jordan as he is great to work with and has customer service acumen. read more

Always a great experience! I rented from this location a total of 3 times and never had an issue. The attendants are nice and cordial, helped me with all my questions and even dropped me back off AND picked me up at no additional charge. Kyle was extremely helpful with my most recent rental. Had a horrible horrible experience with this enterprise. I travel somewhat often for business and I regularly use the enterprise on 28th street for my rentals. This location was one of the worst experiences I've ever had renting a vehicle. First, there was no place to park my car. Then, when I walked in the door, there was no one anywhere in the store; I stood there for a good five minutes waiting for someone to show up. Once someone finally did show up, he wasn't engaged, and kept taking phone calls. My company regularly sets up travel accommodations through enterprise and, being a large, multi-national business, they have the monetary means and resources available to schedule ahead of time and pay for the car before I get there - which enterprise has done every single time that I've traveled (at the 28th street location); however, this location not only was unable to do so, but they also harassed me for weeks about payment (that was already made with the transaction history to prove it). This is the worst run, most disorganized, rude, and overall horrendously staffed enterprise location that I've ever had the displeasure to do business with. To top it all off, they didn't even have my car ready for me when I got there, and when it was finally "ready" the interior was still filthy. Worst experience ever. read more

Out of the several car rental agencies I rented from them Grand Rapids. This one by far it's a five star! Not only do they pick me up at my home they always have the type of car I want or an upgrade! The staff there is very friendly and helpful! Or use it frequently and they even know me by name now! I definitely would recommend them! read more

We reserved a mid size car for a family trip down south. We had reserved through Costco travel which had a free upgrade (pending availability). I arrived to pick up the car and the process was easy and quick. We were denied any sort of upgrade although in the time it took for me to get set up with our car, several others rolled in. I politely asked if I could come back later to wait for an upgrade. Of course denied and told there were no cars. The car I was given felt like a downgrade rather than an upgrade. It had some sort of small hole in the side of it (looked like a bullet hole to me), 40,000 miles (which is THE MOST miles I have ever seen on any rental that I have rented and we got half way to our destination (which was close to 100 degrees out) and the air conditioning quit working. Although this location failed me and my expectations, Enterprise did take car of us when we were able to get to Arlington to switch it out. I would recommend the budget on Alpine as they have always taken care of us, their cars are clean and low miles and have had reasonable upgrade options available every time. They were also far more friendly. read more

Had a horrible experience at this Enterprise location. Rental was set up through insurance/body shop. They acted as if they did not know I was to get a rental vehicle. I was supposed to get a standard rental car but they tried to give me a Fiat 500. Had to settle for a Nissan Versa, not much better and they told me I had to pay over and above what the insurance paid. When I disputed this they said they would contact the insurance and call me. Did not get a phone call that day so I called the following day and was told that would investigate and call me back no call. A day later, dropped the rental off at the body shop with a full tank. Three days later(Sunday) an $80+ charge shows up on my credit card. Called them on Monday and they were busy and could not talk to me and wanted to call back. No call, called my insurance company Enterprise could not tell them why the insurance company wasn't billed. The insurance will reimburse me but I had to spend over two hours on the phone with them because Enterprise had the insurance on hold. There are other options so I won't be using Enterprise again. Update: The same day I wrote this review, I was called by an independent company concerning my satisfaction with Enterprise. When I rated them poorly I was asked if I wanted to have Enterprise contact me, I said yes and was informed that I would be contacted within two days.
