I rented a car for my cousin visiting from the Netherland. Our experience was nothing short of fabulous. Parker was just great. he was so helpful and kind. The first car had substandard air conditioning. He immediately put us in a different car. We had trouble connecting to maps and a staff person (didn't catch her name:( ) helped us. She discovered that my cousin was not using google map, but a product not used in the US. She explained it, got us connected and off we went. I want to note that I am 74. I get weary of younger people acting like I am tech illiterate. I am not. No one helping us today was the least bit condescending, they were respectful and helpful. We were t sure how we were going to pick up our rental car as the place was a couple miles from our hotel. We called them the night before and were told they have a shuttle service and would pick us up at 11am the next day. At 11am they called us and asked for our address as the person who took our shuttle request didn't write it down. About 15 min later we were picked up and off to our car rental. The same gentleman who picked us up checked us out. He was very detailed oriented and went over every inch of the car and noted down all the dings and scratches. The check out process was quick and smooth. The facility was neat and clean and so was the bathroom. I'd rent from here again. read more

I was promised a car at 4:30pm. I arrived at the auto shop at 4 and hour later still no car.

I had a horrible experience with the Branch Rental Manager, Madison Evans. She was unhelpful, uncaring and unprofessional from the moment I walked in the door. I was at the car rental to get a replacement vehicle as directed by the Enterprise company. We had a flat tire and there was no spare in the vehicle. Enterprise was supposed to bring me a new vehicle and tow the one with the flat. That never happened and I had to call back 4 times to get the vehicle towed. I was told to go to the nearest Enterprise location to get a replacement vehicle and they even confirmed that they had vehicles available. Madison was rude and indifferent to find any solution. Her unprofessionalism shocked me. She told me that the Enterprise Roadside Assistance team was wrong to refer me to the nearest location. She said "They do that all the time"! She said she would 'get in trouble' if she helped me. She told me that I would have to go to the nearest Airport Enterprise to get a replacement which was an HOUR AWAY! I asked about an Uber or ride to get there and she said there is nothing she can do. I feel that her rude and uncaring response was due to homophobia. The friend who left me off in front gave me a kiss goodbye and I was wearing a pride watchband. I think this is why she was indifferent from the start. When I explained that I had no way to get to Grand Rapids she said in a very condescending way "Why don't you get 'your friend' to take you. The worst part was that when I finally got to the Grand Rapids Enterprise location the very nice and apologetic person told me that she used to work at the Holland location and there was a way to take care of the replacement there, she just had to send an e-mail to the corporate office. Obviously Madison Evans just did not want to be bothered with a person like me. I will be filing a formal complaint with Enterprise. read more

Called to schedule my pickup in MI. They didn't even attempt to find my claim after they heard it was an error to an IL claim from Allstate in the system. Told me to call my claim company etc. to straighten out which location for pickup. Called Allstate did that. Allstate said Enterprise should be able to see the reservation from any state and accommodate. After that called the branch again to schedule my pickup at 11:30am knowing they close at 12 on a Saturday. They put me on hold until 11:58 then Disconnected me. Great customer service. I'm Over "short staffed" and the bad service. Figure it out companies. If I wasn't forced to rent from enterprise by my insurance I would not rent from here. read more

I rented a car at their facility on Friday, August 9th around 10:30am through August 14th. I have been unable to use the car for the past three nights because there is an issue with the headlights not lighting properly. One of the lights is pointing straight and the other is pointing upward, thus, when used at night it does not light the street properly. Given that we are in the outskirts of Michigan where there are hardly any street lights it has been impossible to use the car at night time due to the lack of proper headlights. I have reached out to them requesting a refund due to this huge inconvenience since we have had to use a taxi due to this issue. read more

I wish I would've done my homework better. I would have never rented from Enterprise. It started out by corporate telling us that the location opened at 8 am. We live a half an hour away, but wanted to get it taken care of so we showed up promptly at 8 to a sign on the door that said they opened at 9:00. Employees were around and said that corporate tells people the wrong time and to come back in an hour. We came back and were shown the economy car that was awful, but already going to be close to 80.00 a day. I asked about other options, but could not afford to pay the additional price. I was in a bind and had to make do. Unfortunately, need opens the door to be taken advantage of. The car drove terribly. It was loud and I equated it to a tin can with wheels. There should be some shame involved in renting out a car like that for what they're charging, I expected to pay a lot, but driving this car was stressful, and I have driven a Kia Soul for years. I was told that they have Kia Souls, but they fall under the category of standard size at Enterprise?! it made a bad situation even worse, I will never rent from them again and would not recommend them. read more

The branch was not helpful and would rather leave us in a dangerous vehicle then switch us into a safe/functioning vehicle. They made us drive all the way to the GRR airport to swap out. The gentleman is very lucky we didn't get hurt driving to Grand Rapids. Avoid this location at all costs! They will not help you out if you are a paying customer! Never again. read more

We booked a minivan for our vacation. Booking online was simple, everything went according to plan. A week before our reservation, a pleasant employee at our local Enterprise called to confirm the details. But the real customer service experience started 30 minutes before pickup! I received a call saying the two minivans they expected back were not - one was in an accident and the other stuck in traffic. Before I could even ask "How are you going to fix it?" the employee was listing alternate vehicles they had available, and confirmed the price would stay the same. I went in to review the options, they continued to be helpful, apologetic, and very accommodating. I would not hesitate to rent from this location. Great service!! read more

I had a driver that was delivering a vehicle to the area and booked a car 24 hours in advance...one hour of him being in the area they call him to say they are 5 cars overbooked for the day and nothing is availableand this is midday...Did they not check this out at the beginning of the day when they arrived to the office?? When I call to check on any other Enterprises in the area the attitude was nonchalant and couldn't care less whether my driver had transportation or not really didn't care that he now had no way anywhere...very bad business!! He is now stranded there and had we known before I could have made other arrangements!! read more

I've rented cars from this Enterprise location three times in the last two months. Each time has been a great experience. The cars have always been clean and ready to go at pickup (though one had a faint smell of cigarette smoke), and all staff have been polite and very helpful. They go above and beyond to achieve excellent customer service, and I will definitely rent a car from this location again. Picking up the car has been quick and painless each time, and dropping off the car is even easier. Their policy of returning the car with as much fuel as it was picked up with made it less stressful for me when dropping off the vehicle, as I could plan ahead and I didn't have to scramble to find a gas station on my way back to Enterprise. This is a fairly busy location, so I recommend making advance reservations. Keep up the awesome work, Enterprise! read more

Highly unsatisfied with this location. Had a truck reserved for an 8:00 pick up. I show up and they tell me they don't have one. This is after they called and emailed me the day before to confirm my reservation. They then tried getting me to drive a half hour to pick it up after I told them i had to load it in town. After arguing with them for 10 minutes they finally decided to drive a half hour away and pick one up and drive back to me. Apparently my schedule for the day has no concern to them. What is the point of scheduling something to be picked up first thing in th morning if they can't deliver? I remember when this brance was well run. not anymore. I booked a Car on June 9 for 8 Am pick-up on June 16. At 7:30 AM I received a courtesy call that there were no Cars. Turns out 6 other people were in the same situation,.. had made reservations for 8 Am pick-up and they were told no cars either. So reservations don't seem to help either with this Holland Mi location. Seems to be a very poorly run location if so many peoples reservations are not available. It is not rocket science, just renting cars. I will take my business elsewhere and suggest you do the same. read more

Reserved 15 passenger van in January for Spring break family trip. One week prior to departure personnel notified me all vans were out of service due to a recall by the manufacturer. No problem. We showed up on time to pick up the vehicle we had reserved and the didn't have it. Then the salesman insisted my wife gets insurance so that was another 24 dollar fee we didn't expect. I've rented from this location several times (5+) and I've never had a good experience. This location knows how to take a reservation but does not know how to keep a reservation. In addition, most of the cars I've received had issues. My last reservation was for a mini-van. I called ahead to ensure that a van or SUV would be available and was assured one was. When I arrived, I was told that no mini-van was available but I could take a very large cargo van. I begrudgingly accepted and was promised that I would love the car. The car had no cruise control and pulled to the left the entire time. Another car I had received previously seemed good until I turned the air on and what looked like talcum powder started blowing out of the vents. I soon realized that this was a vehicle that had been used by a smoker as the car progressively smelled worse and worse until I ended up trading the thing in at a different site. I've had at least 2 other instances where I showed up at this location and they simply had no cars. The check out process is slow and painful compared to just about every other location I've rented from. I am fed up and am never coming back. No thank you. read more

My insurance company made a reservation for me but turns out they didn't have any cars available when the day arrived. Said I had to wait till after noon. They did offer to pick me up from work to then take me to their office to pick up a car but then arrived an hour late. Fortunately, the one who picked me up was Jordan, the branch manager and once he heard how badly things had gone so far he did everything in his power to make things right and even gave me a free upgrade in addition to some waivers. Though I was disappointed initially, I do appreciate a business that does everything they can to right the wrongs. After that, things went smoothly. read more

The team members at this location are the best in the business! Customer service is their main priority and they strive to insure the customer is taken care of....ALWAYS! While true you may not be able to "just walk-in" to rent a car (this is a VERY busy location), but renting a day or so in advance online has always worked for me - they even will pick you up and drop you back off at home, work, etc. I recommend Enterprise highly! read more
