I had the worst experience at this location yesterday due to the behavior of the manager on duty, Champ. His conduct was unprofessional, demeaning, and condescending. He should not be in any customer-facing position. I was sent to this Enterprise location by Uber for a car swap after getting a flat tire on the rental I picked up Monday. The vehicle had no spare, so it had to be towed. The flat occurred around 5:45 PM. When I arrived, I explained the situation and was told to speak with Champ. He informed me that no rentals were available at that moment and asked me to wait until he cleared the current line. I waited outside in the cold for 15-30 minutes as more customers arrived. I eventually asked if there was somewhere I could wait inside, and he directed me to a seating area. After an additional 20-30 minutes inside the airport, I got into the main line. I was again instructed to speak with Champ -- meaning I had to go back outside. By this point, I had been waiting for over an hour. I approached him to ask for an update and to understand how many customers he needed to assist before I would receive help. Champ became immediately escalated, telling me I "wasn't his customer" because I didn't pick up my rental at that location. He insisted he would help all customers with reservations for that branch before assisting me, despite the fact that I already had an active rental and had been waiting longer than many of the customers he assisted ahead of me. I reminded him that he works for Enterprise as a whole, and I could not understand why roadside assistance would send me to a location that supposedly had no vehicles. He then yelled that he wasn't going to argue with me and walked off to help yet another customer who arrived after I did. At this point I called Enterprise Roadside Assistance, in tears, trying to understand why I was sent there and prepared to request an Uber home. I asked Champ for his last name for documentation purposes. He yelled back, "CHAMP! YOU CAN TELL THEM CHAMP -- THEY AIN'T GOING TO DO ANYTHING!" After another 10-15 minutes, Champ suddenly produced a vehicle -- a Mitsubishi Mirage -- that had been sitting in the lot the entire time. I didn't care what the car was; I just wanted to get out of the cold and go home. I finally left with a rental around 8:30 PM, nearly three hours after the flat occurred. **This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had.** **I will never use this location or enterprise again.** **Champ should not be in a customer-facing role in any capacity!** read more

Netta was amazing! I've had the pleasure of her service twice, and both times she's been friendly, helpful, and informative. I travel often of work and on a previous trip, I had trouble checking in do to an error caused by my own fault. Netta explained ways she would be able to help me and though I was frustrated with myself for making my check in more difficult, Netta helped reassure me she would work with me to help me secure my rental. She was patient, helpful, yet aware of Enterprise's policies. I rented a car for less than a day, picking up the car in IAH and confirmed there was damage waiver on the rental with TWO different employees (I'm always paranoid about car rental companies). There was oddly no paperwork given to me when I picked up the car and when I returned the car in Galveston, they did a walk around of the car, confirmed everything was fine and returned my deposit. 2 days later they say I damaged the car (there was no damage)! Absolutely livid. Never trusting Enterprise again! To note, I have rented a LOT of cars in my life and I travel quite a bit so have done international rentals too. Worse loyalty program ever. I have rented vans from Enterprise for over 5 years and now they are refusing to pay points for my rentals. I have a hotel and may rent 1-4 vans for a week, 2 times a month. I have over 30 rentals this year and Enterprise is now telling me that if I have multiple rentals at once that is does not qualify for points. They have only given me credit for 10 rentals. I have never had this issue in the past. Needless to say they have lost a loyal customer. read more

To start, the service was top-notch. Aside from the upselling of "protection" add-ons, I felt listened to. That's where the good ends. The car. There was nothing "Premium" or "Special" about it. I had to choose between an Altima, Sentra, and a VW Passat. I opted for the Passat. The Apple Car Play was wired-only and took only an old USB cable and didn't even work until I reset the infotainment system. Then it sometimes worked on it's very tiny screen. Music would cut out randomly so I'd drive in silence. The car's microphone didn't work so I couldn't make or answer calls in the car. The assistance features didn't work properly. Blind spot monitor was vision only with no audio which is strange. Remote start symbol was on the keys but didn't work and in hot hot Houston weather, that would've been a godsend. I usually get better car options from Enterprise and I've used them for years but I felt ripped off paying so much for a 4 day rental for a car that was just difficult to enjoy. My recent experience at Enterprise was terrible due to the poor customer service provided by the manager Derrick Bell. The way he spoke to us was despicable. Sadly, he came to assist a new employee and the way he treated us was a poor representation of how a leader should lead. My group often travels and uses Enterprise as we have a company discount, however; this was the worst experience ever. Some of the policies that Mr. Derrick was saying was different than what the employee informed us when booking the reservation over the phone and was different than any policy that we have heard of when we often use Enterprise And pick up the vehicle. Unfortunately the first vehicle I received had mechanical issues and would not start on an evening I had work commitments. The local store was closed and I had to be transported by Uber to the )Houston-Bush IAH) airport to get another vehicle. This was during a week of freezing temperatures. When I arrived to the airport rental location, the staff member, Jake, let me know that he was "new" and ill-equipped to service my issue and that I would need to be assisted by the Assistant Manager on duty. I was taken outside in the cold up to the booth located in the rental garage. I was told to wait outside the booth, behind another customer, until the Assistant Manager could assist me. Both Jake and the manager remained inside the temperature controlled booth. After some time, I asked if I could wait inside until my issue could be addressed and how long it might take since I was just in to pickup and all my info already available in my member profile and on my rental agreement. The Assistant Manager said, "it'll be a while longer," and I returned downstairs to the main desk inside the rental center. While continuing to wait, another male employee instructed me to contact roadside because the system was down and he could not access my rental agreement to have it ready for the Assistant Manager whenever she got to my issue. The male employee informed me that I had to call he could not because the location had no phones. By the time road side got on the line the male employee had gone outside to the rental garage and only Jake remained at the front desk. I approached with the roadside rep on the line to verify my rental information. Jake informed the roadside agent that he was "new" and unaware as to how to process my rental exchange or what questions to ask to verify my current rental since the system was down. I returned to wait for the assistant manager. After some more time the male employee returned from the rental garage and approached me and asked what happened with roadside. I explained that Jake was unable to assist with roadside because he said he was "new." The male employee retreated to the rental garage again. After some more time the Assistant Manager appeared in the rental area. I sat waiting and she approached me aggressively. She did not attempt to service my issue but instead aggressively questioned if and why I had been unkind to her staff. I asked how she felt I had been unkind and whether there was any policy posted or available that outlined how to interact with her staff for the customers. She continued to stand over me and instructed and insisted that I go to the back into her office to further continue her interrogation. I declined, stating that I felt unsafe and would rather remain in view of the cameras. I asked that my issue be serviced and my rental be exchanged. I asked that she explain any issue the staff had with my interactions and I expressed my discontent with the slow and uninformed service I had received up to that moment. The Assistant Manager stated that she was unwilling to service my issue due to her personal feelings about her perception of my interaction with the staff (since she was away from the front desk in the rental center and had remained stationed at the booth inside the rental garage since before my arrival throughout all my interactions with the male staff members). She did not offer any remedy or assistance and refused when I directly asked what other options I might have to get into a rental since I traveled 40 mins, had missed work commitments and needed to return home. She refused to contact roadside or customer service to verify any information offered no assistance or attempt to get me into a working rental. She did not offer to contact roadside or reschedule the Uber or offer any transportation options for me to return home safely. At no time did she ask any information about my rental to access my agreement to understand or address my issue. She left me stranded in the rental center. I contacted roadside and scheduled a second Uber to return home. The next day I contacted the local store and was finally placed in another rental when a vehicle became available. After 2 days roadside retrieved the original rental vehicle from my home. read more

I have had bad experiences with car rentals before, but not with Enterprise in Houston Airport. The service was really quick. The line was long, but I got my rental in less than 5 minutes! They have a variety to choose from, and they even let me upgrade. The car was squeaky clean, it smelled new, and the person that helped me was very helpful, friendly, and he explained all our options and charges very clearly. Drop off was very easy too! NEVER rent from Enterprise!! Enterprise rented us an old vehicle with over 55K miles on it and lots of wear and prior damage. We drove the car less than 500 miles and turned it in with no issues. A month later we get a bill from Enterprise for $6500 for alleged damage. Google "Enterprise Car Rental Damage Scam" - it's a common scam they pull on their customers to avoid having to pay to repair their own cars. It's so bad that there are lawyers that specialize in fighting these false claims and there have been class-action lawsuits. AVOID ENTERPRISE AT ALL COSTS. read more

I am the head coach of collegiate team traveling to Houston, Texas compete in conference games; therefore, we rented 3 large vehicles to transport our team to the event. Drivers licenses that are valid, credit cards that work, all 20 people in your group don't need to stand in line. Second - if this place had a model T ford and could charge you $100 a day they would. Found out that Enterprise is not a good company to be a loyalty member with since I've been a customer since 2003 not once having a problem with an employee until 2024. Really don't write reviews until I see a company doesn't care about loyal customers. Guess if u have misunderstanding with employee they block you from renting a vehicle. Employee came out side while on the phone trying 2 get things straight with my insurance company talking crazy to me because I got upset after walking to Enterprise that takes atleast a hr. in Houston summer day heat. They called me with the reservations after insurance company booked it. I had my reservation number from insurance. This location is a training hub on Westheimer and do not know how to do everything yet. Instead of learning to do they job correctly they do petty stuff trying to get u on the do not rent list... Can't rent from Enterprise I guess now. Guess I will die now. Think Not Hertz has treated me well and actually cheaper. Thanks Enterprise now I'm saving a lil more Money...So it actually turned out to be a blessing. Had my info and car soon as left Enterprise was able to walk like 15 min. to nearest Hertz and was done in 35 min. I don't even know. It's the times of COVID, so I feel bad giving a poor rating, but customer-forward should always be the focus. So, here's how it happened: I showed up off a late flight around 9 PM. That's not terribly late. I was 5th or 6th in a very disorganized line. Groups of people were just scattered, standing about the parking lot. There were a grand total of 2 Enterprise employees. I get that not a lot of people are renting cars at the airport right now, but that was not nearly enough to handle this "surge." There was absolutely no attention paid to the people waiting whatsoever. No one explained what was going on, no one helped us understand where to stand. Utter disorganized chaos is not a good way to run your business. It took me 45 minutes to get service - or even someone to talk to. Finally, I was being helped. I was taken back to the two available cars. I asked about the ones next to them, told they were a step up. How much more, I asked? $10? That's reasonable for a 4 day rental. I went with it, and she brought the paperwork back... it was $40 more. $10 per day. She tried to insist that she said that. Another strike against good customer service - the customer is always right. I know what I said. Just apologize for misspeaking. So I went back to the first car, had to wait for her to open the gate, finally got to my hotel an hour later than intended. Did not sleep well that night. Returning the car, midday, you'd think would be better? Nope. Still only 2 people around. Same groups of people standing in the middle of the parking lot aisle. I finally got someone's attention (as he was helping other people) and basically forced him to give me a receipt because I was not standing around another 45 minutes with a flight to catch. They had screwed up something in the system with my rental and he just said "it's all taken care of, go." So... I get that you're very short staffed. But that's not an excuse for being disorganized and ignoring customers. If I can't handle you at your worst, you don't deserve me at your best. read more

Best rental car experience I've had in a very long time! For starters, once the shuttle bus from IAH dropped off a van full of us passengers to the rental car center, the signs showed us where exactly to go based on which agency we were renting from. As I was descending on the escalator, I notices at least 3-4 other renters/groups in the Enterprise line but quickly noticed that no one was occupying any of the 3 self-check kiosks. I jetted straight over to one of them and began the process. The only deficiency was that the 1st kiosk didn't recognize my license when I scanned it, even after repeated swipes. The 2nd one did after a couple of tries and I was quickly on my way out the door to get my car. As I landed outside, there were a couple of other parties in front of me so I waited a few minutes until a 3rd rep was free to come over and assist me. She offered me a bottle of water on this warm day, which was a nice touch. As I looked over to where the cars were parked, I noticed a general lack of selection, especially in the full size vehicle category, which is what I had opted for. As the rep and I were walking over to the cars, up pulled a silver Nissan Altima which was still beaded with water from having been just washed. She asked me if I wanted that or would like to maybe upgrade to the next class but I was happy to take the Altima as I hadn't rented one before and wanted to check it out, esp. as it was the ideal size for my needs on this trip. I opened the trunk and dropped in my luggage while the gal who had just driven the car up got out and proceeded to wipe down the car while the rep and I did the usual visual inspection of the car and initialing and signing the e-pad. The rep quickly went over all the agreements and options/insurance/fuel with me and I got in to turn on the car so she could note the mileage and go over a few controls with me (which was a nice touch). I'll be darned if this wasn't THE newest car I'd ever rented - it had a only 9 (nine!) miles on it! The car still had that new car smell and was in pristine condition of course. Exiting the lot was a breeze as I showed my license and rental agreement and was quickly on my way to my destination. Again, the quality and newness of the car I got, the check-in process, and the friendliness of the staff made for a very easy and pleasant transaction. Oh, and the kicker is that this was a Hotwire "bid" rental and I wound up with a quality agency like Enterprise and this terrific, new car. I'd not hesitate to rent directly from this Enterprise any chance I got. read more
