    Go anywhere else but here. There was 1 person working when we arrived and they don't even take your reservation. You go into 1 of 3 booths and video chat with someone. Right away, they scanned our credit card, drivers license, and insurance. Then the person started saying how our coverage was not enough (which it was) and we'd have to pay extra each day. We read the other Yelp reviews in advance so we knew this was coming. This was also the first of add on fees coming. We told them to cancel the reservation and left as soon as possible. The low price is listed online because they add on fees when you arrive.

    WARNING: COMPLETE SCAM - DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION NextCar / "stride" - 3200 Greens Road, Houston, TX 77032 My mother and I had one of the worst rental experiences of our lives at this location on November 28th. This entire operation is a scam, and I feel obligated to warn others before they lose their time and money like we did. From the moment we arrived, we noticed multiple customers already having issues. It took over 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge us. When we finally received "help," the two men working there were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. We booked our rental online using a debit card, which the system allowed. However, once we arrived, we were told that we must use a physical credit card and would be charged an extra $75 fee simply because we did not have a physical card--even though we had both the debit card used to book AND a virtual credit card on hand. This requirement was never disclosed during booking. Both employees wore shirts labeled "Stride", yet this company name is nowhere on the NextCar website, and they refused to explain who stride even was. When we asked for a supervisor, we were told there was "no supervisor available." We were given a phone number that was supposedly customer service, but when we called, it turned out to be an insurance line, not customer service at all. After doing my own research to locate the legitimate customer service number, I was sent to an automated system with no way to reach a real person. To this day, I still have not spoken to a supervisor. When I asked the employee for his name or the supervisor's name, he refused to give either, which is wildly unprofessional and suspicious. While we were there, another couple told us they had been charged over $200 for a damage issue they did not cause. When they questioned the charge, one of the employees pretended to call 911 on them--but from where we were standing, it was obvious he never even pressed the call button. It was pure intimidation and manipulation. This tells me this company preys on customers regularly. We had already prepaid roughly $175 before arriving, and they still made our experience stressful, confusing, and completely unacceptable. This place is a SCAM, run by rude employees who lie, refuse to give their names, create bogus fees, and hide behind fake contact numbers. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration. Avoid this place at all costs. This location is operating with: Fake fees Fake customer service numbers Fake company names No supervisors Employees who refuse to identify themselves Employees who intimidate customers Policies that change on the spot Zero accountability Zero professionalism NextCar Corporate: I expect a response. Not an automated message. Not a script. A real escalation contact. This location is harming your brand and financially exploiting customers. Until corporate addresses this, I will be posting this review everywhere possible to warn others. If you value your reputation, investigate and shut this location down

    My second negative review of this scam rental car company. Just providing an update: I've filed two formal complaints--one with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) in Texas and another with the Texas Attorney General. I strongly encourage others to do the same, rather than just leaving a bad review. You can read my original review from 11/8/25, where I even attached a video of the interaction. What makes this situation even more absurd is that they didn't bother to refund my fee, despite denying me the reservation. Who do they think they are?

I got to the car at about 10:45. Perfect. Con: I go to check out. The lady at the check out asked if I got a paper. I said, no i got the aforementioned text to go choose a car in zone 2. She took the keys and my license and checked me out. She couldn't print a contract or email it, so I had no proof that I legally had the car. She said, "I wouldn't open the gate if your couldn't legally have it." But I kind of need proof of anything does happen. I didn't get an email like she said I would. So she told me to go back into returns. Go stand in line and talk to someone to get the contract. After I got into the returns area, I got the text to check the car out with the system. Which has happened at other locations, but other places could email me the contract. Inefficient. If I didn't have to use budget sometimes for work, I would not.

She left dozens of ppl stranded with no rentals after giving away all the reversed rentals. Causing dozens of people to be stranded at the Sixt airport at 1am. Her entire staff was disrespectful to every single customer. She made my children cry and left elderly handicapped people and small children stranded in an airport and told them she didn't care. Spoke down to them and belittled them. I hope she is never allowed to treat people this way again and something is done about her and her employees callus attitude. after reading more reviews it seems this is an on going issue and Sixt has allowed this disgusting behavior from their employees. Stop all the extra fees and renting people a car but when they get to the rental station up sale them and charge more money. Rental cars in Sixt is a scam! Horrible customer service. The vehicle class was downgraded, but I did not receive any price adjustment or refund for the downgrade. After returning the car, I later received a damage claim. I disputed it and provided my rental details and evidence. SIXT eventually reviewed the case and closed it without any further claim against me, which I appreciate. However, the rental experience was stressful because of the vehicle change, no refund for the downgrade, and the later damage dispute. I recommend customers take full photos and videos at pickup and return, and make sure any vehicle change or price adjustment is documented in writing. Be careful with SIXT Rent a Car

The agent stated that if I did not purchase this option, I would incur toll charges of approximately $15 each time I passed through a toll. Before agreeing to this charge, I clearly explained my travel plans in detail and showed the agent my GPS route. My travel consisted only of driving from the airport to my hotel in Katy, very limited local driving near the hotel (with most destinations within walking distance), and returning to the airport on Sunday. Despite reviewing my route, the agent strongly insisted that I purchase the toll package and warned that I would pay significantly more without it. Based on this representation, I agreed. In reality, I only passed through two tolls, each clearly posted at $1.50 for two-axle vehicles. Even accounting for the return trip, the total toll cost would be approximately $6.00 (four tolls total). This amount is far less than the $38.31 charged and confirms that the information provided to me was inaccurate and misleading. I am also concerned that this interaction reflects sales pressure to purchase unnecessary add-on services rather than transparent customer guidance. After researching this issue on the Better Business Bureau website, Yelp, Google Reviews, and your company's own customer reviews, I found numerous complaints describing the same experience customers being pressured into purchasing toll packages and other add-ons that were not needed. This appears to be an ongoing and recurring issue rather than an isolated incident. Very disappointed

Everything was quick and efficient, and it wasn't crowded during our two visits. It was quiet, actually. To give you an idea of how fast everything was, we landed in Terminal A, exited the secured area, and went down the escalators to baggage claim and ground transportation at 4:40pm on a Friday. We were inside our rental car by 5:02pm. Those 22 minutes included walking to and riding on the rental car shuttle, checking in with our rental car agency (Alamo Rent a Car), and walking to and loading up our rental car. Returning our rental car was as fast as could possibly be, the following Saturday at 3:46pm. I was greeted by an Alamo employee as soon as I pulled up and parked. The return address is 17330 Palmetto Pines, Houston, TX 77032. Follow the signs from there. Alamo's QR-code check-in process made picking up our rental car fast.
